very nice stay in a lovely welcoming hotel. Would stay again if in the area

Staff were excellent and very helpful
The view
Wonderful view Breakfast was OK but toast arrived under toasted and already buttered, inedible Room was good but too many steps to negotiate to get there and also a step in the room from bed to sitting area and bathroom, causing a trip hazard especially at night.
no lounge area where you could sit and enjoy a drink in the evening
A lovely place
nothing
Great location with great view. Friendly staff. Comfortable room.
Despite being a great place with great spaces, it seems like nobody cares. The place looks scruffy, and that's a shame as the place is great. With some more attention to detail, this could really be exceptional. Also, the kettle can do with some descale, and the room would benefit from air con. We were told that we must book for breakfast, so we did not, as you never know after a night out and made different plans. Then, in the morning, we were told that we could have breakfast anyway. ??? The place just needs a bit more of TLC.
The room was very small. More like a B&B than an hotel.
Sea view
Up a very difficult country road
Beautiful setting and hotel, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. We will book again in the autumn.
Lovely place, friendly staff and great dinner.
Everything was beautiful, family party was fabulous.
I think a fridge in the room, plus a do not disturb sign would have been good. Also there were issues with the hot water, plus not much pressure for the shower. But a beautiful bathroom plus room.
Very friendly staff, countryside views
Room was hot but a Dyson fan helped with the nighttime heat
Good but would have liked more to choose from
Some areas that appeared neglected
Fabulous location overlooking the estuary! Amazing staff especially Sarah! Nothing was too much trouble for her! I
Nothing to dislike!
A lovely hotel with magnificent views overlooking the sea in the distance. We saw amazing sunsets sitting on the patio eating dinner. The restaurant served exceptionally good meals, which were very well presented. We had dinner there both nights because the quality of the food was so good plus it was a drive into Whitstable.
The shower wasn’t particularly clean along the door runners.
Excellent room, very spacious and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good evening meal, served on the terrace with a wonderful view of Whitstable Bay. The same for breakfast.
Unfortunately, while we were there the local water company cut off supplies, this included a large area of Whitstable and surrounding district. This was in no way the fault of the hotel who did their best to mitigate the circumstances by providing us with bottled water. However, we were unable to wash or shower in the morning, or flush the toilet. The quality of the evening meal and breakfast was not affected.
Clean, pleasant, great views, comfy bed
The mattress had a broken spring poking out of the side....needs fixing...fan didnt work on top setting...and really for a room only rate of £253, it was basic. Big plastic bottle of water, no fridge, limited and cheap shower gels. The hotel was great. It boiled down to Value for Money....and this was the bridal suite.....
I have to say the staff were absolutely lovely. Especially Nancy she was so helpful and friendly , would definitely return again.
The atmosphere and the staff .
Really nice stay, good breakfast / dinner and we felt very well looked after!
Bed was very comfortable. Very good nights sleep.
Small breakfast.
Friendly staff Very helpful staff Wonderful bar & restaurant

Super comfortable beds and quiet. Slept so well! The staff were welcoming and friendly. Fabulous breakfast and the view is amazing.
Things are surface clean, but some attention to detail is needed here (bathtub drawers for example and ledges). For the price, I'd expect nicer products vs. the budget shampoo and body wash on offer.
Lovely hotel, great peaceful location and nice room
The service !! On arrival al we had to walk round hotel to find check in staff and exactly the same to check out !! Breakfast very poor quality eg bacon and sausage dry where the had been pre cooked, mushrooms slimy, no fruit or cereal out only juice would have been nice to have some options out to have during the long wait for breakfast to be served. There was a continental and yogurt/fruit option on menu but not available to help yourself too. We cancelled breakfast for 2nd morning as very poor value and quality. Service in bar again very slow and the hotel generally seemed either very understaffed or staff not trained well enough to cope with volume of clients - although with rooms etc being pre booked they would have know how many clients to expect
Great location Very friendly and welcoming staff Bedroom size is great Bed very comfortable, had a great sleep Views and outside space amazing
It's not a problem, but only provided with a handful of very mini size toiletries in the bathroom. Would be nice to have normal size hand-wash, etc Just information, really, the stairs are not very deep
We really like the view from the restaurant bar area. This was our third visit
This was our third visit and we were not as impressed as previous visits. The toilets were dirty and full of urine on the seats and around the toilet and there were lots of cobwebs in the toilet and the room. We were disappointed that there was limited menu on the Sunday, there was not definitive choices for the lunch and dinner menu so we could not order a roast for dinner. We were also brought out side plates and previously we were given bread before our main but on this occasion we wasn’t, even though other tables were. The waitress didn’t ask how our meal was throughout the time we ate. The empty glasses were not taken away also when we were brought more drinks to the table. We did not feel like we were looked after like previous stays and were really disappointed. We spent a fair amount on the stay, dinner, drinks and breakfast and would consider returning again. We feel it has lost that caring personal touch which we feel should be present when you go away to stay in a hotel and are away from home. The dinner was not good. The chips were oven chips and we had hardly any on our plate and the fish was mostly batter and wasn’t fresh. Disappointing. The breakfast in the morning was nice but again the waitress was not attentive and did not ask if the food was ok or offer further drinks. Very disappointing.
The hotel staff and the spectacular views
Not a fan of the built-in furniture look
Staff very welcoming, food delicious and view from terrace gorgeous
Clean comfortable room, attentive staff

Lovely cute hotel elevated position great views and sunsets staff excellent Sarah the manager runs a great hotel with lovely staff
Out of the way cant really walk to Whitstable unless you are super fit with the hill coming back but if you want a elevated view a hill is usually involved.
Very professional staff. Friendly and accommodating. Great location with only a short drive or taxi ride to town centre.
4pm check in and 10 am check out.
Location See view .Restoran meniu - amaizing 5 stars.

Restaurant is excelellent and staff very friendly
Room 13 is like an oven. The first night i felt like i wad being cooked! It is very claustraphobic - do not book this room.
Location very good breakfast good
Maybe something to entertain and give a little more atomophere
Very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful Beautiful setting Very tasty breakfast
The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely sea view.
The breakfast. 'Continental' breakfast consisted of granola with a little yogurt and a lot of sweet, sickly fruit compote, plus toast and jam/marmalade. This was very overpriced and bore no resemblance to any breakfast I've had on the continent!
Beautifully situated. Very sociable and attentive staff.
Nothing
Room was comfortable and on ground floor
Location. We booked for the sea view but it was at least a mile away. It was also miles from the sea and Whitstable itself down a very narrow long lane. Most of staff seem to be training as many questions we had couldn't be answered. Meals were overpriced.
The staff were very helpful
The Hotel was perfect , the room was nice & big , the bar area , especially the outside was great , first time to Whitstable and this Hotel is in a perfect location , i cannot recommend this Hotel enough.
Nothing.
Site exceptionnellement bien situé, avec vue magnifique. Endroit tranquille. Très bon restaurant. Personnel très courtois.
Rien
The staff were absolutely exceptional. We only stayed a night but they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.I'd revisit just for the staff! the place itself is gorgeous. We had plans to go into the centre but stayed at the hotel as the views were too nice to miss
Only issue was the upstairs room being extremely warm but I think that's everywhere in this heat!
It was a lovely place and we will return - unfortunately we were there during the water shortage in whitstable and couldn’t flush the loo , have a shower or decent coffee from their coffee machine . It wasn’t the hotels fault bug somewhat marred our stay .
As above
The situation of the hotel was certainly accessible from the motorway to Whitstable. The views were terrific and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. There was a wedding being held there but it didn't intrude or impact at all on our stay. It was kept totally separate and after an evening out it was very quiet on our return. We can also recommend the Tidehouse restaurant in Whitstable which is affiliated with The Crescent Turner hotel.
Lovely location
Nothing
Fantastic!
The view
This is a beautiful hotel in a magnificent location with open views over the wide Thames estuary - and fabulous sunsets ! All of the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room had excellent facilities and was well prepared and comfortable, as were all common rooms within the hotel.
There was an interruption to the local water supply during our stay which was well beyond the control of the hotel. However, we were particularly impressed by the way the hotel managed this issue, even setting up temporary facilities very quickly to minimise the impact. Customers were kept well informed and for us the short term issue did not spoil our stay.
Views where amazing staff are friendly rooms clean and tidy
Breakfast was lovely views and restaurant really exceptional.
Not much choice or variety on evening meal menu we would have preferred a more basic choice
Excellent Room and good breakfast. Lovely view out to sea. I liked the hotel so much I have booked for my parents to go there for their anniversary.
Nothing, all was good.
Great staff! In the restaurant they were very attentive but not in your face. Great service!
Located beautifully, elevated with a view to the west. Sunsets were great.
Staff really friendly bed was a little uncomfortable but overall had really relaxing break
What a lovely hotel. Great venue.
Nothing I didn't like
Supervriendelijke mensen en een fantasies lekker ontbijt
Clean and lovely staff
Nothing it was fab
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Checked regularly whether we had everything we needed. The hotel was quiet overnight when we stayed and we were upgraded to a larger room without asking.
Food was a little expensive
Amazing view from the room. Yummy breakfast. Clean and cozy room.
We had a top floor room where behind the wall there was a boiler room (or something similar) and it was producing humming buzz non-stop. Both of us had to sleep with earplugs. Also the top floor without an aircon and a very low ceiling- was ok for early May, but looks to be unbearable in summer.
Staff really friendly and very helpful Lovely atmosphere with beautiful views. Food was lovely too
I loved how fancy, clean and low key it was. The restaurant and bar and massive green were all beautiful. You can see onto the coast and sea too.
I loved the property, it’s a nice walk into town if you like walking to find your way around. Best to stay with a car
Lovely room and lovely staff. Didn't eat at the hotel but the food looked good
Nothing really, a little bit far from town but only a short cab ride.
staff and views of the sea
Location, views staff were excellent special mention to Jake and Sarah
Leaving !
Location was quiet and beautiful views
Shower didn't work properly, though staff did offer to move us to a different room.
We had a lovely family room with plenty of space, twin beds for the children and a great shower. The view was fab too.
Nothing!
Wat een enorm leuk hotel. Heel lief personeel.
A great experience. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Amazing location in a charming hotel. Couldn't ask for more.
Nothing
This hotel is situated in an elevated position on a hill above the town of Whitstable. Super spot for a short break, with easy road access to North Kent and Canterbury. The room we had included a small balcony built over the roof of the main building, with superb views towards the moth of the Thames Estuary and the Isle of Sheppey, and a very spacious bathroom. The food served at dinner was excellent with interesting choices. The breakfast was not a buffet but there were a number of cooked options.
Shelf space, or more coat-hangers in the wardrobe
Lovely room, staff great. Restaurant was lovely.
I love the view from the garden area! It's beautiful and peaceful
Nothing
The staff were amazing, calling me by name and couldn’t do enough for me. Great views and decor.
A lovely comfortable room with panoramic view
Nothing springs to mind
The breakfast was good value because they included tea and coffee in with the price and the tea was big teapots for individuals, the toast was also included, which sometimes costs extra, but the bacon was streaky not back bacon, which I don't like and my eggs weren't cooked properly and the mushroomse cooked in garlic not something you want to eat for breakfast
Very cozy and comfortable
The people!!
The bed frame. The mattress was great but as a disabled person climbing over the wooden bed frame was difficult
This is great little quirky hotel with many differing rooms; it's not a one shape fits all type of hotel. Great rooms, clean and tidy, great staff always helpful.
If could be next door to our friends, and we could all be at the Beach front, but hey life's not like that, just enjoy this lovely hotel for what it is. Great.
The room was comfortable, spacious and beautifully presented. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our dinner was excellent!
Disregard the Google photos. No pool on site
Lovely decor, high quality finish throughout
Email confirming room would be ready for 1pm arrival - arrived at 1:40pm due to traffic. Room wasn’t ready - only negative about our stay
