Blue Water Beach Resort

Ambience and location was superb

Cleanliness

The perfect place to end our Kerala journey. The location was fantastic, close to the cliff and the beach, with beautiful ocean views. The room was comfortable, clean and peaceful, making it easy to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling. We loved the laid-back atmosphere, nearby cafés and breathtaking sunsets. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach escape, this is a great choice. Highly recommended.

The property is a little worn and could benefit from a light refresh. With a few updates and some minor renovations, it would be absolutely perfect.

The view was beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Close to beach.

Room had a smell. In-house food options didn’t cover Kerala specials.

Schöne Lage direkt am Strand, leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Personal.

Excellent location and ambience

Wifi connection was a little slow

Location.

The property is quite old and not well maintained. We were given two rooms — one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor. The upper floor felt uneven and slightly bent, which made it uncomfortable and at times felt unsafe, as if you might lose balance. The ground floor room had a noticeable gap in the door even after locking it, which led to moisture and water condensation inside the room. The floor became wet and slippery, and we unfortunately slipped once. When we informed the staff, they were helpful and promptly mopped the floor and provided extra mats. However, when we requested a room change, it was denied as the property was fully booked. Overall, it was not a satisfactory experience. There are many newer and better-maintained resorts in the same area that travelers can consider. In our opinion, this property is not worth the stay.

The location cannot be matched and the staff is incredibly kind. Can't think of a lot of other places in Varkala that tick all boxes - beach access, great view, decent rooms, and amazing hospitality

Serene location, good ambience

Bit pricey

Heel fijne, rustige plek.

Weihnachtsbeleuchtung

Excellent service and staff guidance .. Breakfast was good enough . Area was clean , and it was so comfort stay .. enjoyed a lot

Parking space was less as more people were there that day, struggled sometime to take out my car and get in

Ambience good, close approach to the sea. Sea view stay, food very good. Friendly staff. Very relaxing holiday.

Good

All good

Great location, clean room, nice sit out area, easy access to beach.

Taste of food could have been much better.

Sehr freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, gutes Restaurant

At the check out time one of luggage / bag was lost in the reception and camera was reportedly not working, compromising the investigation. The hotel only refunded the cost of the phone charger, refusing to compensate for the bag, ear pods, and shoes, even after multiple follow-ups.

The location of the stay good ( but too noisy because of the waves).THE only good thing is the food it was yummy and the view 😋.

The management is not good they will take advantage of you if you reach there before the check in time and charge you extra even if the room is vacant and ready ( they will charge extra for everything) the room for the cost they charge is very high.you can get better stays in the same location for nearly half the cost.and we found a centipede in the washroom so be very careful keep an eye 👁.

Very close to the Beach, and Working staff was very pleasant.

The Facility manager was always behind us for small and petty things. The room we were alloted, was smelli g, and we reached propertt arou d 11 p.m. The manager helped us upgrade a room( in which fan was not working), in exchange of a written consent, that we will vacate it on next day. We were on Vacation, and it felt like we were back to college/school. Always scared when the manager will turn up next. I understand that once you come back from beach, one should take shower, before entering ther room, but nowhere in the whole property it was written...and we were never told about it. The outside shower was in such remote location, with no visible marking. No new person could get thats a shower area, that too in middle of restaurant, where many guests and staff were sitting/working. The manager made me, my wife and 4 year old baby girl to take shower and publically walk through entire guests sitting in restaurant, before entering the room. There were no towels, or anything else provided. The Facility Manager definetly need to have a training on Hospitality and how to deal with people, especially PEOPLE WITH FAMILIES.

Location

Doormat were not clean. Small towel should be provided.

Location, stay was decent.

Don’t fall for the images there on booking.com, they will allocate different room once checked in.

Placer

Complimentary Breakfast can be given

Staff was friendly. Restaurant location was great to sit and have food in leisure. Own parking space .

Poor value for money. Charging 4800 for a room that's worth 1500 probably only because of the seafacing location. Also all major attractions, cafes and markets are 2-3 kms away so lot of travel involved. Room amd furniture are in bad state. Blankets are worse than what you get in trains.

There was Nothing to Like

Let me tell you in detail: ROOMS : too pathetic, we got room numbers 7&8. Room number 7 is on the Ground, so okay okay, 8 is on the make shift first floor, so if you are heavy or jump it will shake, PFA the video attached. so rooms on 1st floor it's the same. Reception: tough to locate as that's not on entry but the last room of the resort, it's a storage dump as they have no other storage area.

Restaurant was under separate management. And they were courteous. But made some mistakes in orders

Nice location and excellent food.

The location was good and the property is just by the beach. So you will have beach access.

I am a television freak and there was no TV in my room so that was a little disappointing.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was polite, helpful and friendly, especially the young men working in the restaurant (Amit and others). They are kind to local stray animals which means a lot to us! The room was clean, had a fan and AC. Well equipped bathroom with warm shower. Bottled water was provided each day which was a nice touch. We ate at the restaurant for every meal during our 2 night stay in Varkala and the food was delicious. The hotel is on a coastal walk with great sunset view points and sea eagles 5 mins away. There isn't anywhere to access the sea directly from the hotel but it is quite choppy anyway (August). You need to walk north for maybe 30 mins to get to a larger beach.

Nothing!

WiFi und A/C funktionieren sehr gut.

Only Location

1. Room conditions were pathetic. After raising a complaint with the manager, the air conditioning was not working correctly. He said that you can leave and book somewhere else. Since I was travelling with a small baby, I had to adjust and use a hand fan. 2. facility: No TV, No hair dryer, No locker, No fridge and No proper locks 3. Service take lot of time

Lovely location above the beach. Helpful hotel staff.

The dark wood room made for a very gloomy interior

From the beginning of my reaching the place the officials were reminding me about the check out time. And they repeatedly reminded it. I experienced it never before. It also hurt my dignity.

The manager was very polite and welcoming. The location and ambience make this resort a great place to stay.

The staff didn’t have a dress code, wish they had better clothes .

The best location and the best food on the coast!

overrated not worth for amount

location

Schöne Lage direkt am Meer mit Blick auf Sonnenuntergang. Ruhig großer Bungalow, schöner sauberer Strand. Super Frühstück mit blick auf meer.

Im restaurant abends manches Mal lange Wartezeit. Personal aber nett.

Great location. Friendly restaurant staff

They did not take credit card for paying the room rent. This caused me extreme difficulty as I had to walk for over 25 minutes to go to an atm ti get cash

Location

Little shabby for the price we paid, £75 excluding taxes for a night.
