Breakfast was good with plenty of options. The owner itself serves you the breakfast which I got to know later. He was making sure that everything is smooth

Very Nice Hospitality

A fantastic location right on the beach. I sat on the veranda at 5:30AM and had a fantastic experience as the sea revealed itself in all its glory as the dawn broke. The staff is excellent and courteous. Since we were checking late into the evening, host was gracious enough to call us and let us know that the restaurant next door closes by 8:30 and have dinner and come if our check-in is going to be beyond 8:30PM. So many folks including the owner were waiting when we arrived at the hotel around 8:15 so that the check-in goes smoothly and we can have the dinner next door. After we booked through booking.com with free cancellation, the host called us and asked for some amount as a deposit. When we said our plans are not yet finalized based on train ticket availability, he said it is OK and he will hold the reservation and can pay after the trip is finalized. When I called back to pay after the trip is finalized - couple of days before our planned stay, he said there is no need to pay since we called and confirmed. We were so pleasantly surprised. The cottage including the toilet is big, clean and very well planned to take care of most of the needs of the tourists. It even had clothes liner to hang our clothes after a beach visit. There is a big private veranda to sit and chat and have a cup of coffee. A great place for families to stay a few days. Unfortunately we stayed only one day but plan to stay longer if we ever come back to Varkala area.

L’originalité du cottage choisi, avec son architecture traditionnelle du Kerala, l’emplacement un peu excentré et calme, le merveilleux petit déjeuner et surtout la gentillesse de toutes les personnes travaillant là bas : le directeur, George, Cavita et toutes les autres personnes dont j’ai oublié le prénom. Pour moi, c’est ce qui a fait toute la différence.

Amazing property with an even more amazing view. The property is very peaceful with the trees and sea view. Absolutely loved the hospitality of Mr. Thyoob and Mr. George. Best part is that you can hear the waves from your bed. Big ❤️ Highly recommend to opt for the breakfast option, food is amazing and they keep serving you till you can't eat anymore.

The host is very respectful and kind, we asked for extension and initially he rejected politely as the same place is already booked, and offered us to keep our bags in his place and even offered to use his washroom and after an hour the booking got canceled and he came to us and asked us to extend our checkin and didn't charge any extra fees. Host is good not because he extended our stay, he is good because he is polite and kind

Had a beautiful stay here. The views were absolutely amazing and made the whole experience very relaxing. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The staff and people are so kind, humble and welcoming, they were always available to help us with anything we needed. Breakfast was also really good with nice options and fresh food. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend this place to others. A special mention to the property manager, Mr. Nevin, who made sure we had a smooth and pleasant stay.

Fantastic hotel. Nice facilities, great breakfast and onsite restaurant. The highlight is the location - super close to a peaceful beachfront where you can take a swim yet close enough to easily go explore the cliffs area

Second time there, really cute and cosy and close to the beach. Staff are great and cool. Restaurant round the corner is also great.

Нам понравилось гостеприимство, все удобства в коттедже, расположение к морю. Фруктов на завтрак было достаточно, свежевыжатые соки. Огромная веранда, где очень удобно было проводить вечера.

По скольку мы отдыхали 10 дней, немножко утомило однообразие завтраков. Хотя всё было вкусно, порции очень большие, по персональному заказу.

Le cottage était vraiment confortable, spacieux et joliment decoré. La salle de bain est plus simple mais très fonctionnelle. Le petit-déjeuner à la carte est très qualitatif et généreux, servi très rapidement depuis la terrasse donnant sur la mer. Nous avons apprécié l'aide du personnel pour organiser les transferts depuis la gare de Varkala et vers Trivandrum. Le restaurant à proximité propose de très bons plats. Enfin nous avons beaucoup apprécié la proximité de la belle plage qui est peu fréquentée. A noter, l'environnement est vraiment calme, bien différent de Varkala côté Varkala beach/falaise de varkala.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Kerala Cottage war einfach traumhaft und bleibt uns in bester Erinnerung. Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich von Nevin, dem Hotelmanager, empfangen. Er hat sich während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts außergewöhnlich engagiert um uns gekümmert und war jederzeit für uns da – sei es für Empfehlungen, Tipps oder jegliche Unterstützung. Seine Gastfreundschaft hat unseren Aufenthalt wirklich besonders gemacht. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und die gesamte Anlage ist einfach wunderschön gestaltet, mit einem herrlichen Blick aufs Meer – ein perfekter Ort zum Entspannen und Abschalten. Ein absolutes Highlight war das tägliche Frühstück: Das Küchenteam ist unglaublich freundlich und bemüht, und wir wurden jeden Tag mit neuen, besonderen Empfehlungen überrascht. Besonders die lokalen Kerala-Gerichte haben uns begeistert! Alles in allem war es eine unglaublich erholsame Zeit, die wir in vollen Zügen genossen haben. Wir können die Kerala Cottage von Herzen weiterempfehlen und hoffen sehr, eines Tages zurückzukehren.

Property owner and manager both are superb. Also the location and peaceful environment.. you don’t need to go anywhere if you are staying here.

My stay at Kerala Cottage, Varkala was excellent. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained. The location is peaceful and very close to the beach, which made the stay even more relaxing. The staff were very polite and always ready to help. Overall, a great place for a calm and comfortable stay in Varkala. Highly recommended

Schönes Zimmer mit einem gemütlichen Bett. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Nähe zum Strand ist optimal. Grosszügiges und gutes Frühstück. Restaurant, welches zum Hotel gehört (Almond) ist auch sehr freundlich und gut.

Die Zufahrt mit einem grösseren Auto ist etwas schwierig.

Die grundsätzliche Lage ist sehr schön am Strand mit guten Restaurants in der Nähe. Das Personal war sehr nett, das Frühstück toll. Die Bungalows an sich in Ordnung.

Der deluxe Bungalow Nr 6 liegt direkt neben der Rezeption, es ist ein permanentes Kommen und Gehen, wenig Privatsphäre. Man blickt eher auf den Parkplatz als auf schöne Vegetation und das Meer. Auf den Fotos wird das natürlich nicht gezeigt. Die Klimaanlage fiel immer wieder aus und das bei mind. 36 Grad. Das Bad sollte renoviert werden.

Le personnel au petit déjeuner et leur déjeuner qui est vraiment bon. La mer à deux pas. On a pu aller se baigner au réveil quel bonheur. Le restaurant à côté et à distance de marche de plusieurs autres restaurant. La chambre spacieuse très propre et calme. Merci !

Loved the property, proper weekend getaway with family from the bustling city noises... You have a direct beach view. Great home cooked breakfast provided. Niven and the other lady staffs at the property made us feel like home.. Amazing hospitality Will defenitely come back for sure.

The stay was very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The owner was very kind and even though he was busy, he made time to make his guests feel at home. Special shout out to Nivin, who helps the owner run the place. He is very helpful and always smiling to make the guest feel welcomed.

The breakfast options though limited are still good. However, I would suggest expanding their menu.

Tutto assolutamente perfetto, dalla disponibilità di Nevin, alla colazione continentale buona e abbondante, alla location meravigliosa, interni meravigliosi e puliti. Con mezz'ora di camminata piacevole lungo alla costa si arriva al Cliff di Varkala e a pochi metri dal cittage c'è un ristorante. Assolutamente consigliato.

¡Elegir este alojamiento fue un acierto! Las casitas son espaciosas y acogedoras. La cama y las almohadas cómodas. El baño también grande y en general todo estaba muy limpio. El personal nos ayudó mucho: llegamos muy pronto y nos pudieron hacer inmediatamente el check-in. Nos consiguieron una scooter buena y a buen precio. Nos ayudaron con la reserva de un autobús para después de nuestra salida. Desayunar con esas vistas fue todo un lujo.
