Der Chef und vorallem die Chefin waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück exzellent mit frischen Eierspeisen, zubereitet von der Dame des Hauses. Auch die Angestellte war sehr nett, und hat unser Zimmer gemacht.

I loved everything about Long Quay. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. The breakfast with fresh cooked eggs was yummy. The best part of all, though was the welcome we received upon arrival even though we arrived late. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Food was good.

Sump pump in another room came in and off all night. Shower dripped constantly. Room door was outside with entry door for hotel, which people needed to unlock with a key, all even and late into night. It was loud. Bathroom sink faucets were so small it was impossible to wash your face. Light from hallway lit up our front door edges all night. Gray Hearthstone stuck up an inch from gray carpet, causing a tripping hazard. Taxis park outside our room and come and go all evening. Exterior lights glared into our room window until late at night, without appropriate room darkening shades.

Long Quay is a perfectly restored/ maintained guest house on the waterfront. Peter, the owner and his wife have made it a labor of love, and it shows. Wonderful breakfast, very helpful and insightful suggestions for things to do and see, and a cozy room made it a perfect place to stay. And you will love Kinsale too!

Lovely staff and great rooms

It is a lovely period property with a homely feel. They serve an excellent Irish breakfast and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

A little bit of noise from the street and the room was quite hot as we stayed during a heat wave so slept with the windows open.

Enjoyed our stay, location was amazing in town looking out to sea. Staff were fabulous couldn’t do enough to help us. Thank you!

L’emplacement est incroyable, en plein centre près du port La maison est une vieille bâtisse victorienne avec beaucoup de charme. Le monsieur qui nous a accueilli est charmant et nous a même porté la valise lourde au 2 eme à l’allez et au retour ! La chambre sur l’arrière était calme et confortable. Seul bémol le lit de 140 , je n’avais pas fais attention sur l’annonce. Le breakfast était super dans un salon plein de charme. Une vraiment belle adresse.

Tout est super sauf l’insonorisation entre notre chambre celle du voisin, nous ne l’avons pas entendu mais avons entendu l’eau couler quand il a pris sa douche, pas très gênant mais dommage.

Beautiful small hotel in the heart of Kinsale. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, super-clean rooms, fab shower and a very comfortable bed.

We were delighted with the beautiful harbour facing room we were given. the lovely The room was lovely. Very comfortable bed with high quality bed linen as well as a sofa and armchair. Full tea making facilities and a good sized bathroom. Perfect. Breakfast was delicious with loads of Continental choices as well as cooked options. We both had the cooked options and the bacon was especially delicious. Peter and Rasa were excellent, warm and attentive hosts. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in their beautiful guesthouse.

Our stay was very comfortable. Staff was attentive, helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and inviting. The only issue had to do with the bed size. The double bed was too small for us. A queen sized bed would have made our sleep much more restful. Great location in town. Parking is a bit of a walk. Kinsale was just beautiful.

Although we knew in advance about the lack of onsite parking, we found that street parking was quite in demand and could have been a problem. We got very lucky in getting a spot immediately across from the house, but I can see where it might be problematic for anyone staying for a few days.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is immaculate and lovingly maintained, and Peter is a fantastic host. Great location, right in town and across from the town car park. Delicious breakfast served in charming area.

Rooms very small - ok for one night but not for a longer stay. Very questionable fire/safety arrangements: incomprehensible photocopy of "escape plan" on the back of the guestroom door. The "emergency assembly area" is in a totally overgrown inaccessible garden area (visible from our room). One can only hope that there's never a fire or need to evacuate guests....

We really enjoyed staying at the Long Quay House. Raza and Peter are excellent hosts on a number of levels, friendly, accommodating, helpful, and genuinely great people. The property was old but clean and modern with easy access to Kinsale downtown in Harbour area. We really enjoyed and would recommend paying the small upgrade to a harbor van. Good clean fresh air. The gentle sounds of the town and everything that goes along with that kind of a view. The bed was great, comfortable and fresh. We appreciated their extra effort for a clean and welcoming room. The breakfast was simple but delicious and they do take orders from the menu. Would recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Lastly, it was my wife’s birthday and they, without any fanfare, they surprised us by delivering coffee to the room and delivered coffee to the room and a special dessert at breakfast. Great surprise…Complete with candle and song. Highly recommended. Don’t listen to any naysayers. They are wrong.

The location was perfect! Walkable to almost all areas of town. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. Wished we had more time to spend in Kinsale. Parking near property is not guaranteed. We were lucky and parked in the lot a Ross the street!

For the money, the room was small, the breakfast was meager, and no private parking. We traveled around Ireland and found this stay the most dollars for the least worth. However, the staff was delightful and the location ideal. Kinsale is really magical and definitely recommend.

The proprietor is a fine man that started the guesthouse with his father. He and his family are dedicated to serving his guests.. Highly suggest a stay here.

Central location and delicious breakfast

The property itself is in a good location, but they have NO parking near the property. Not even to pay for. We were told absolutely no early check in or dropping our bags off because owner/manager feels his staff cannot get job done right if he does. He told us to drive a quarter mile away and wait for a spot to open up (took 20 minutes). He tells you can park across the street if you can find a space (you cannot after 11 AM) and if you it is only 2 hours. For US $450 a night that is unacceptable. It is not a 4 star hotel, more of a glorified B&B. The breakfast if very good and rooms are clean and good sized. Just not acceptable on the parking.
