- Extremely friendly hosts - Nice breakfast

- Cockroach in the bathroom - Fresh brown stains on linen (linen that were actually just ripped fabric pieces) - Moldy showercurtain was cut in half (presumably to get rid of the very moldy curtain parts) Although the room is budget friendly, we stayed in much cleaner and comfortable accomodations on our travels in Sri Lanka for a similar price.

It is a very friendly and lovely villa. The hosts were extremely helpful and kind. Room was very spacious and bedding was comfortable. Very clean and tidy.

We found everything to be perfect.

Very good accommodation owned by a very nice family. The food is delicious and I definitely recommend this place especially before going to the airport. (Also the air conditioning was very welcome)

We booked a room for four people. We are young backpackers, and this was our first stop for a few days. Everything was perfect. Fernando and his family are very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The room was comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was delicious and authentically sri lankan style (Fernando’s wife is an excellent chef). We also arranged an airport transfer, enjoyed an Ayurvedic massage, and took a boat tour around the lagoon. All of these activities were recommended by our hosts, offered at very reasonable prices, and are truly worth experiencing. They were incredibly kind to us and made us feel right at home. Negombo is also a beautiful city with a very local and authentic atmosphere. We were extremely satisfied with our stay, and when we return in the future, we will definitely stay with them again

We had an amazing stay at Fernando‘s place. He and his wife are great people, very caring, supportive and you feel directly at home. We stayed here for two nights and it was absolutely perfect and really authentic. They recommended us so many great things to explore here in Sri Lanka and provided us with valuable insights. Additionally, the room was very clean and the breakfast was also very delicious. We are very happy that we stayed here and can wholeheartedly recommend this place. We will come back!

Saubere Unterkunft bei sehr netter Familie. Wir durften sogar am Abend noch Duschen benutzen, bevor wir zum Flughafen mussten.

De vriendelijkheid van de uitbaters. Ze gaven onze kamer reeds om 7 am hoewel de check-in pas om 12u was. Ze hebben hier niks extra's voor aangerekend. Heel lekker ontbijt.

Small property with limited places to sit outside. It’s a small point as the beach is nearby with plenty of room to sit.

Stayed for one night, convenient to get to the airport. Fruit platter for breakfast was good.

The shower was very poor and the place looked a little tired & could do with an update.

Perfect accomodation in Negombo. Near to sea. The family that owns the accommodation is very kind, and helped with everything and they prepared perfect srilanka's home made meals.

Great host, very tasty breakfast. You can also eat lunch and dinner! Rooms are basic but cosy. There is a shop nearby where you can buy your groceries, nice restaurants around and a wide beach to swim in.

We stayed for two nights at Alexandra Family Villa and had a wonderful experience. The place was very clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were always ready to help and made us feel at home throughout our stay. The environment was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a long day. We were four people staying together in one room, and it was comfortable for all of us. We truly enjoyed our time there and had a very positive feeling during our stay. There is also a café on-site where we had both breakfast and dinner. Everything was very delicious, and we definitely recommend trying it during your stay.

We enjoyed our two night stay at this family run villa.Fernando and Chamila are wonderful hosts. They helped us with planning our trip and arranged for a driver Kamal for our travels who has been great.

The decor in the bedrooms isn’t to my taste at all. It’s perfectly adequate.

Very friendly host

It is very basic to say the least. I expected something much better seeing all glowing reviews. The property is in poor condition, rooms too. When we arrived we saw someone’s underwear and socks drying all around. Mosquito net is hanged poorly, lays on your face when you sleep. Luckily we only stayed here for one night before flight. The owner also charges premium to bring you to the airport 4000 rupees while we called a regular taxi for 1000.

Lovely host, location is also decent. For the charge they do, it's full value for money. Neat and clean room and one I stayed in or I think all rooms have attached bathroom.

Jude Fernando was very hospitable and we felt very happy with the tour we did. A wonderful place to arrive in Sri Lanka.

The homestay is the perfect place to recover from the flight to Sri Lanka and start your journey. Jude and his family helped us with everything and we were also able to hire a tuktuk. Close to the beach and great restaurants on top. The food at the homestay was also great. Can be recommended 100%.

We stayed in the villa for the first and last night of our trip and were very satisfied. Very nice family who looked after us very well. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We were also able to store our bike cases there and clean our bikes there at the end. The family kindly organized the transfer to and from the airport for us. We can highly recommend the Sir Lanka breakfast there! Many thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful stay. The owners were so helpful, organising trips for us and cooking beautiful Sri Lankan food. They could not have been more helpful and kind. The homestay is in a lovely quiet street, walking distance from the beach and tourist area. Thoroughly recommend.

The host family was incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to ensure my stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was very tasty and affordable – I thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was spotless, and I was impressed by the cleanliness. What stood out most was that they allowed me to check in early so I could rest and recover from my jetlag. They even apologized for not being able to clean as thoroughly as usual because of my early check-in, but honestly, I couldn’t imagine how the room could have been any cleaner! Additionally, the neighborhood felt very safe to me as a solo female traveler. I had no concerns walking around alone even in the dark. The beach as well as supermarkets, shops and restaurants are in walking distance, so it's a great place to spend a few relaxing beach days.

There’s really only one small downside: from the pictures online I got the impression that the property was directly on the beach. But it's just a short walk, so overall, it was a wonderful experience!

The host is super friendly, he helped us with so many things, we even woke him at 4am to get us a taxi because our Uber failed and he was not angry at us at all :P I highly recommend this place after landing and before departure, bacause it's really close both to the airport and the beach

Location is very good, walking distance from the beach and main street. The breakfast was very tasty. The host offers pick up from the airport and it was very helpful.

I had a great stay. The hosts were really helpful and lovely. They organized pickup from the station, a tuktuk to bring me to the fishmarket and around the city. His brother drove me 3h to Sigiriya afterwards for a fair price and was a great driver. I booked the house again for my last night before I‘m going back to enjoy their hospitality and great food! :)

The rooms were very nice and clean and air conditioning worked great. The best part about this accommodation though was the hosts. The food was awesome, and Jude went out of his way to help us in any way he could. Jude helped us to get a Sri Lanka drivers license and drove us four hours to Wilpattu in his Tuk Tuks for a great rate. Highly highly recommend this accommodation.

We had two great nights in Alexandra Family Villa, everything was super clean and the beds were really comfortable. Jude and his lovely wife are so friendly, great with the kids and helped us with everything needed. I would very much recommend this place!

Excellent first stop after arrival, close to beach and not far From the airport. Hosts are very friendly and everything is very clean. Host helped us arrange a great driver for the next part of our trip. Also called later to make sure we were ok. Breakfast was excellent!!

Small, hot, very dated room . Room door opened straight into shared open living space so could hear all conversations and noise. Arrived after an 11day tour of Sri Lanka in standard rated rooms. Found this totally unacceptable and didn’t stay here .

The rooms need some renovation as well as the bathroom. But for a quick stopover at the airport, its 100% sufficient
