Room was great! Ramesh was amazing, he planned our entire trip and was very helpful.
We stayed for four nights at the intercontinental Chennai Mahabalipuram and enjoyed our stay at this new hotel. There were two main reasons for our choice, the first being the 25m swimming pool. This did not disappoint and is a beautifully designed feature of the hotel. This is a great pool to swim laps in, although I would definitely recommend getting in the lengths early as it does - understandably - get busy later on. We were very grateful for the large number of sunbeds, all with umbrellas or canopies for essential shade. Our second reason for choosing this hotel was that we could pay for access to a Club Lounge. As the hotel is still developing, the Club Lounge is currently running in a temporary setting, however the friendly and professional service provided by Mr Ramesh (Restaurant Manager) was exceptional and a real highlight of our stay. As the Club Lounge is still being worked on, it may be worth checking on how food/drink is currently being offered - during our stay there was no buffet/canapes - rather a choice from a menu. The drinks on offer were generous and we enjoyed the wine that was available during cocktail hour. As with many lounges that we have used and enjoyed, the Club Lounge does allow children. However, unfortunately, the sanctuary of the lounge was lost on one occasion; we are grateful to the management team for listening and understanding our disappointment and responding to this as best they could. Finally, we were delighted with the offer at breakfast time - the choice is extensive and the service by the team was superb and welcoming. If travelling into Mahabalipurum is not an issue (we used Uber for the 20min journey) , then we would certainly say this is a hotel worth considering.
Joli et bien situé.
Ils organisent des fêtes du soir (mariage, business) avec une musique assourdissante empêchant de dormir.
Wonderful experience and prompt room service ...perfect hospitality
Excellent and amazing experience at the resort, We were welcomed by amazing people like suresh and amit, who were really helpful n friendly there, Mugesh who was in charge of recreational activities was very child friendly and was overall amazing, alot of great ppl there, must visit and the ambience was also very wonderful. Overall a wonderful place to be at.
Kids and family friendly
Parts are still under renovation
Great place and soothing, relaxs with culture and vibes
I think the property is well placed and adequately spaced. It has ample space and resources. It is pleasantly presented. The property staff are well mannered and carry themselves well. They are courteous and polite. The rooms we stayed in are spacious with a well thought through concept of adjourning living space and bathroom separated by sliding doors giving the appearance of an open large accommodation. The access to facilities including the Spa and gym is good.
Whilst I have stayed in several properties world wide and booked multiple rooms at a given time I have never faced a situation where 2 out of the 3 rooms had significant maintenance issues with the showers flooding with soiled water flooding into the rooms. This reflects poor maintenance of the resource. I’m told this is a newly refurbished resort and I gained it hard to believe there are such problems. I’m also disappointed with the response from the leadership team both in the lobby and maintenance departments when I reported this. Whilst appropriate apologies were offered I felt that they dismissed the concern I had, bearing in mind this is soiled water overflowing and entering the bathroom and the adjourning living space. This falls short of the standard one would expect from the likes of the Intercontinental Group worldwide.
The location was great The pool was amazing The tiles used for the pool was dreamy Cutlery and in general the decoration was so so nice We will come back again
Thanks Nisha for Yoga classs during stay, it was my first yoga classes, joing yoga class with Nisha has a wonderful experience Thanks again
We would like to thank Kokommo, Vinay Kumar, Chef Pravin, and Sonia for the excellent service provided to us. We truly enjoyed the food and hospitality throughout our visit. Their warm service made our experience memorable. We will definitely visit again and highly recommend this place to others.
Huge shoutout to Anand & his entire team at InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort! 🌟 They hosted our SWA GM conference this week and absolutely nailed it. The event arrangements were seamless, the food was spectacular and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Thank you for making event a massive success! A special mention to Asif always visible and ready to help , the FnB Manager .👏 #InterContinentalChennai #CorporateEvent #ExcellentService #HotelReview
We had a great relaxing experience at Hotel Intercontinental with family. We heard the resort was recently renovated and we could see how thoughtfully they had done. The rooms were so comfortable and we loved the detailing. The rain shower, the automatic lights configuration, the closet space, etc. The food options were also very good and customizable to kids’ liking and taste. The pool was enjoyable and so was the beach, the proximity to both was perfect. We also got spa treatments facial and massage which were fantastic. The staff went over and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The kids club was a big hit with my kids , age 9 and 5. They did painting, origami, and played some games. The first thing they would ask in the mornings was when they could go there. I want to specially mention Nisha, yoga instructor, who made me start my evening with a beach front yoga. She is very knowledgeable and has a lot of patience. Overall would recommend any family to take a relaxing getaway to Hotel intercontinental.
Smiley was my waitress and she was very kind and a happy soul. She gave us free desserts because our dinner got served a bit late.
Very good food and would recommend for families Amit did a very good job he’s a nice person and helpful
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the entire team at InterContinental Mahabalipuram for making our group's stay truly memorable. A special thanks to Kiran and the Front Office team for their professionalism, seamless coordination, and warm hospitality throughout our stay. Suresh deserves special recognition for his outstanding guest welcome and continuous assistance. His courteous attitude and prompt support made every guest feel comfortable and well taken care of. A big thank you to Amit for efficiently handling the luggage arrangements. His dedication and willingness to help ensured a smooth arrival and departure experience for our group. Special appreciation goes to Sugumar, who was truly a one-man army. He managed the Food & Beverage operations, banquet arrangements, and every requirement with exceptional efficiency. His commitment, attention to detail, and proactive approach played a significant role in the success of our event. We would also like to thank Shimponi from the Sales team for the excellent coordination before and during the event. Everything was well planned and executed flawlessly. Overall, the hospitality, service standards, and teamwork at InterContinental Mahabalipuram were exceptional. Our group checked out with wonderful memories, and we sincerely appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in making this event a grand success. Thank you once again, and we look forward to working with your amazing team again in the future. Thanks and Regards Team VGS
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the resort. The room, ambience, food, and room service were excellent and truly reflected the standards of a five-star property. However, our checkout experience at the reception was extremely disappointing. We were delayed by about an hour because my young daughter suddenly started vomiting due to a food allergy. As parents, our immediate concern was to ensure she was stable before we left. We clearly informed the reception team about the situation and were fully prepared to pay any additional charges for the late checkout. Money was never the issue. What disappointed us was the way the reception staff spoke to us and handled the situation. There was a complete lack of empathy, courtesy, and professionalism. In a five-star resort, guests expect not only excellent facilities but also compassionate service during unexpected situations. Unfortunately, the attitude displayed at the reception overshadowed what had otherwise been a wonderful stay.
Excellent experience, Amit and Suresh showed great hospitality
Phenomenal stay and experience. Very well maintained property. Meticulous staff as well. Few names to mention: Ramesh from concierge, Prithq from catering - super attentive and accommodating. Suriya offered excellent house keeping.
It was an amazing experience The whole staff of the resort is very humble and hospitable . They make you feel so special . Ms Nisha spend her one hour with me especially to train me yoga and meditation. And Mr Suresh is so sweet the way he welcome all the guest is commendable. The restaurant staff kept asking you to eat more , have more and they take really good care . The girl (Moanaro ) in the activity room took great care of my son . She patiently taught him different activities and played with him the entire day. Omg what a great staff . Thanks to the team .
An amazing candle light dinner experience! Beautiful setup, delicious food, and outstanding service. The beachside ambiance made the evening unforgettable. Highly recommended for a romantic evening."
Excellent property, stunning architecture, and presence of all natural elements. Pristine beach
Good experience in this resort well maintained hospitality especially Ester took care of us very nicely from starting to end.she helped us for choosing best food and drinks with elaborate the criteria of of the food.and the food was also excellent. we will visit again soon.
The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. Please do not stay in room number 212 it stinks of drain. Very bad experience. We had travelled from Bangalore to celebrate our anniversary, we were tired but had to change our room as it was stinking. If you go for the buffet breakfast please do not sit at the sofas right at the 2 ends, the AC doesn’t work and you will be sitting in a sauna. The breakfast service was very poor, no water and not so bothered staff, even after asking the guy standing next to juice counter there was no water. The only Girl who was good was Sri Lakshmi, she was friendly and attentive. Not sure if the F&B manager is bothered about the customers. What we liked, the guy who welcomes you with Conch shell, Amit bell boy who brought our luggage and Tiki shack. Will we come back -NEVER. My wife is a club member and while they would call it out every where, it seemed the club members get extremely poor service.
Spent a few hours at this hotel for a meeting..the staff was very helpful and kept my daughter engaged throughout my meeting...Urmila was especially helpful in the kids recreation area...must visit .................................
Good stay with the family. Food was great. Staff were friendly. Weather was hot so spent mornings and evenings in the pool and beach. During daytime we spent time in the children’s play room, restaurant and lounge. Staff Urmila who helped in the play room was very good.
Had a fantastic massage. Feel reborned and renewed. A wonderful experiance. Thotmaya is a very professional and experienced massage therapist. I can only recommend him and amrta spa. Thank you very much for the relaxed and goid moment here
Great stay! The property was beautiful, featuring large, clean rooms that provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. One of the employees, Suresh, stood out for his exceptional helpfulness and enterprising spirit, making our visit even more enjoyable.
Awesome food and service. The Spa was fantastic. Suresh redefines energy. Staff is always smiling and willing to help. A great vacation spot or even a venue for conferences. I am definitely coming here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Had a pleasant stay. We were greeted with warm smile and the check in was smooth. Rooms were neat and tidy, as comfortable as it gets. The restaurants, foods, hospitality, the night views, morning beach views were great! Recommended for everyone. My wife loved this stay, I felt the same too. Never miss to relax and unwind at the spa facility here.
Excellent property, stunning architecture and presence of all natural elements. Pristine beach, lovely pool and fancy spa. Great food, service and hospitality. We stayed in the suite for 3 nights and had a great experience. Will definitely return!
Good service professionals and the ambience is one of the best in Chennai. Precise are very reasonable for the standards. The quality of the products are very high and had no effects. Definitely a must to try spa in ecr. I highly recommend this spa.
I would like to appreciate the staff of the hotel for their exceptional hospitality. Everyone is so helpful and always welcoming with a smile. A special thanks to Sreelakshmi, who has been consistently attentive and caring towards all guests, including us. Her efforts truly deserve recognition. The hotel is perfect for a stay, and I absolutely loved the beachfront restaurant, Koko Mo. I would also like to thank the Duty Manager who assisted us efficiently during check-in (apologies for not remembering his name). His professionalism and helpful attitude made the process seamless.” This feedback is heartfelt and precise, Thank u team. Warm Regards John Fridhelis & Pauline Francisco
Hotel Review: A Great Stay with a Few Suggestions for Improvement We recently stayed at the hotel with a group of friends and had a wonderful time overall. The hospitality of the staff stood out—they were attentive, friendly, and always eager to assist, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The beachside restaurant was a highlight of our trip. Dining with a view of the waves was truly relaxing, and the food quality in The melting point was excellent, especially the breakfast, which offered a wide variety of delicious options. We would like to give special thanks Ramesh and Lakshmi for being a great host in the restaurants. The night live music was great too. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The showers we felt a bit cramped and would benefit from more space and the inclusion of overhead showers for added convenience. Additionally, the lighting controls in the rooms were quite complicated, and simplifying them would make the experience smoother for guests. Overall, it was a great stay, and we hope to see these enhancements on our next visit to make it even better!
The Intercontinental brand is renowned as a top class business brand and this was our first stay at at a 'Resort' designation. I can report that this hotel fully lives up to the high reputaion of the brand. It is very much preferable to stay here than in the polluted mayhem of Chennai itself. The commute to the city is about an hour but as a tourist, one is most likely to wish to see the interesting sites in Chennai itself within a single day. with planning and a reasonably early start this is quite possible. Mahabalipuram is 15 minutes away and there are other sites of interest around. After the long flight from the UK and making allowances for jet lag, I would say a five night stay is about right for the property. Although this depends on your budget and planned level of activity. If you review the IHG/hotel website you will discover there are rooms categorised as 'Sea View with Balcony'. I strongly recommend this grade of room. They are very highly spec'd and offer a restful balconied view over the gardens towards the sea. Additionally this grade of room does offer access to the Club room which offers a two hour hospitality period every evening which was a delight. Do be sure you qualify for this when making your reservation. For India, this hotel is expensive. But coming from Europe, never mind the USA, taking the standards of service and quality of the accommodation into ccount, we felt the tarrif was worth it. The staff work very hard to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Join the IHG loyalty club! One snag. I did have a problem with a couple of emails going amiss prior to our stay. Is this just 'India'? Maybe.
I stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The suite facing the ocean was amazing. Excellent service. The spa service were excellent too. I did neck, shoulder and feet indian massages. The 3 restaurants have a variety of food, local international and Chinese.
Relaxing atmosphere and great people, especially govind (personal trainer) is really kind. Suresh's lung capacity is impressive (you'll see when you arrive at the hotel) and the guy from the shop is really helpfull to get some souvenirs.
Had a lovely short break with family in late December. enjoyed the warm welcome given, ambience, evening tea and coffee and instrumental music played during sunset. the staff are all lovely friendly and hardworking. Special mention and credit to the amazing, ever so helpful, and always smiling Yanbeni who helped organise a very nice 50th birthday surprise for my husband -thanks a lot Yanbeni. Highly recommend.
We had a great experience at the Intercontinental in Mahabalipuram. We had lovely drinks by the beach and an exceptional dinner at the Chinese restaurant. Jay - the duty manager and his staff were very kind and helpful. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
A very expansive property but unfortunately very poorly maintained. The room barely felt fresh— the sheets were old and did not even look fresh. The toilet and shower room were two separate tiny enclosures — looked so old and worn out. The toilet seat was visibly old and faded and hardly looked clean. A very impractical lighting system . Did not even have a pencil and a small note pad to scribble down something…. All in all a very distasteful experience- never have stayed in a room that looked so unfresh….. the property as a whole too looks very old and needs a major overhaul….Good luck. Definitely not value for money — overpriced.
We checked in on 29 December and checked out 2 January 25. We were 14 people and took 6 rooms. The hotel has comfortable rooms and has a private beach with beautiful garden in between. The swimming pool was inside the hotel quadrangle. The restaurants of the hotel were excellent and the staff was very courteous and helpful. We ate in the Chinese restaurant and the food was excellent. The buffet at the Melting was very spread out and had almost everything that you can ask. The staff would agree to prepare anything that you order for your taste. The New Year brunch was marvellous. We celebrated the New Year party on the beach restaurant and it was real fun. In fact one of us won a prize too. Overall it was good fun for the family. The children enjoyed the pool and other activities. Special mention to Suresh the person in the welcome party for his humor and wit and to Duwa the steward girl for her courteous nature. P.M. Mathur Mobile-9313002367
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Specially mention for chef Sushmita for the scrumptious food we enjoyed. Urmila- recreation center for her attention to detail and exceptional customer service and finally the whole team of Melting Pot restaurant - for looking after us all.
Very nice massage experience. Head massage was something special. Proper stretches and total massage was very unique and felt pampered. Initial foot massage with warm water and foot salt was unique. Steam bath and shower made it a total package. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
The stay was great and excellent customer service
Amazing Stay
True 5 star. staff in reception extremely helpful and the staff in the restaurant was beyond excellent. I would give them a 20 out of 10
A nice clean hotel. rather unnecessarily large building with a small beach which is difficult to get to as it falls of a cliff and has rocks. Three small restaurants - one of which was closed and they did not warn us in advance or at check-in. Limited options for vegans - and the duty manager told us to call the other restaurants to see what was on offer rather than trying to help us. Not the service expected of a 5 star resort. Otherwise very nice and friendly staff. Would probably not revisit as limited things to do in the hotel - they charge for bicycle use even.
We chose this location for a staycation with our family. My father has had recent health issues and hence his ability to move has been limited. Going to this resort was a way for us to enjoy some down time as well as letting my father move about and enjoy. From that perspective it proved to be a great choice. The hotel is very nicely structured with a wide corridor that's great to walk around - which my father enjoyed. The rest of the family enjoyed the private beach, the shack, the swimming pool and the recreation room. I even enjoyed some street cricket by the beach with a few other guests (the equipment was brought by the guests, not provided by the hotel). The rooms are nice & spacious and the hospitality top class. I paid top of the line, but I can happily say the experience was worth it. Couple of things to improve on - (a) the Melting pot is the only functioning restaurant during week days. If you are planning to stay purely at the resort, that can be a bit boring. The shack by the beach has drinks and snacks but isn't a full dining place and Tao of Peng was entirely closed during our weekday-trip. (b) The resort does not enforce dress code in the swimming pool. You will see people swimming with all sorts of attires. It is a well kept pool and the experience is great, but you might put off by people showing up in the pool in their normal clothes. (This is kind of normal in India, but I would've expect IHG to have international norms). Overall great!

The staff were magnificent, all very helpful especially amen in the breakfast area. Food was great high quality with a good selection of European and Indian dishes. The facilities in the room were good with access to English language films and sport. It was a bit away from everywhere else and there could have been better facilities on the beach as the sea did look inviting. On the whole thumbs up all round. It is what I expect from a 5 star hotel.
Business travel. Room: Spacious and clean room, with fantastic service. Service: Staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and accommodation. Could not fault the service at all. Breakfast spread: good variety, food taste was probably ok-ok at best. Gave the breakfast a 6/10 rating and the chef came knocking at my door to offer a note of apology with a cake and fruit platter. I didn’t feel this was necessary, but appreciated the gesture very much. Again a testament to the staff’s commitment in providing top notch service. Hotel compound: the resort felt a bit ‘sterile’ to be honest, and the garden between the main building and the beach felt redundant. Overall a very comfortable stay, and once again can not commend the staff more for their attentiveness and warm hospitality.
Fantastic property with unique atmosphere
.
Saw a small roach in room. Cleanliness needs to be improved but property is extremely beautiful and serene.
Amazing property. Rooms are big and very nice.
We liked everything including being on the beach.
It is a relatively new property with great amenities inside the room and in the hotel generally. The food is great in all restaurants. They also direct access to the beach and a beach shak operated by the hotel as well. The shak is right on the beach and in the evening they put tables very close to the water. The vibe, food, and setting in the shak is amazing. The food in the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch is fantastic as well. The hotel has a well equipped gym as well. The spa is amazing too. The pool is also nice 11M/25m which is really good if one wants to train. There is a nice crocodile bank close to the hotel. The hotel staff was gracious enough to get us a free drop and pick up to the crocodile bank. The hotel is 15kms ( about 20 min drive) from Shore temple and other unesco world heritage monuments in Mahabalipuram. Super convenient and the hotel has paid cab service. What I did not like was the service. Our rooms were not cleaned despite us putting a note for cleaning. We had to call the service many times to get our room cleaned. The hotel was also fully booked so guess that explains. The service during lunch and breakfast was also nothing special. It was still far better than what we see outside of India but having travelled extensively in India, I think the service can get better to match Indian standards. Overall a great experience at this property. I would stay here again and also recommend this to people looking to stay in this property.
Bad experience with the breakfast ,people are pushing each other like a fish market ,,,no proper management there to take care of the situation.
Overall stay, the open area, beach and the beach shack
Hospitality, staff behaviour, amenities, choice, variety and taste of food and well maintained rooms, good service
My suite was not ready for 2.5 hours past check-in time and I was made to wait. They finally gave me the room at 5:30pm. When I went into the room there was an almost empty roll of toilet paper. When they cleaned the room the next day, they did not replace the toilet paper. When I went to the lounge for the complimentary happy hour, I waited for over 30 minutes after I placed an order and nothing arrived. The lounge was almost empty. I had a reservation for two night, but I was so frustrated by the terrible service that I decided to leave in one night even though I had already paid for the suite. It was an incredibly disappointing experience I would urge anyone looking at this property to go to alternatives like Taj Fisherman’s Cove or Grand Sheraton.
The huge water body was a treat to watch at. I was very happy to see a man wearing traditional vesti and greeting “Vanakkam”. The food was very tasty. Special thanks to Swaroop Maity, the chef who took special care of us. I used the flashlights lit tennis court also which was an awesome experience. Beach and it’s access has been maintained beautifully. Points to work upon are cleanliness of the main water body. There are hardly any activity to do; no karaoke, no disco; no live music/piano. No activity to engage specially considering that hotel is far away.
The place needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Citing Covid as a reason, they are slacking off on providing several services and amenities - which does not make much sense. For example - for over a 100 guests staying at their premises, they've only provided 4 beach beds. Their on-site restaurant which they claim operates for 24h, opens for breakfast and then only for lunch, and then for dinner. While travelling with kids, this is definitely a problem. They have only one restaurant on the beach which is closed until 5pm. Service is really not great compared to the other 5-star hotels along ECR - which is in the same price range or lower. We left feedback at the front desk and they paid little or no attention to it.
very calm and serene environment
Was a very comfortable hotel. One of the best
The breakfast is the best and the service was wonderful :)
Fantastic experience. Great place to stay and delicious food.
Excellent stay. All time favourite. Suitable for both business and family.
Good 😌 infrastructure. Repeated reminders about checkout time . And no proper information about the facilities available in the resort. Slightly more expensive!
Serivce was amazing and resort is very relaxing. Cood is good as well
Lovely lovely people, they go all out to make you happy and attend your needs. Zahir the manager at restaurant, Dhiman the duty manager, Tunu and Roman at the Spa, Tiwari at welcome area, the lady at the dessert station who made especially delicacies for us, all of them were amazing. Whatever we needed and named, they took care of. Pool can be much better and has no character, they shall improve it. Rooms do not have an outside view except at entrance (suites are great). These are the 2 drawbacks which i term as design flaws and shouldn't be as the location is excellent (outside shall flow in) and it is a new property.
The Intercontinental Resort was only fabulous- my family and I had a terrific time. I choose the Club Suite that was very spacious with a sea view. The beach was at the end of the lavish gardens. The Chinese restaurant Tao of Peng, the Gatsby Lounge and the Melting Pot were superbe. This was a great way to unwind at the end of a two week trip to India. Don’t forget to go to the spa!
Though it had a nice bath which we didn’t feel like using because of the water shortage in the city. The shower room did not have the same feel as the rest of the property. Also though the light and fan switches in the property were fancy they were not intuitive as it can take a few days to get the hang of it which is beyond the average duration of stay for most customers. Also the balcony could do with a couple of lounge / easy chairs.
Room was large and well decorated but service was awful. Keep knocking the door asking for service they can offer. During check-in told us about spa discount for guest but during the bill they charged full and tells me it is my fault not having a coupon. They don't havre any idea of customer service. We visited next door Grand Sheraton for dinner and that hotel is much better a lot modern and they know how to make guest happy.
In terms of property design and ambience, the resort is superior to many other resort/ hotels in Chennai. I enjoyed the sleek suite and all amenities came with it. The spa & Bar is great. However, restaurants and service doesn’t justify 5 star resort. Not sure if will ever return.
It’s a stunning resort without doubt but it’s not clear before booking that it’s fairly isolated. This is OK for a day or two but not longer (especially if like me you’re in India for the sightseeing and culture). If you want cheap food and beers it’s a 10-15 minutes rickshaw down the road!
excellent luxurious rooms - very non conventional & creative; swimming pool was only 4' deep with no view of the gardens or sea :-( property feels like city center property & not beachside one as beach is totally cordoned off & not visible from anywhere except the beachside shack
Good place
The unique layout of the hotel with the pond and the pool, the staff and the cleanliness standard are definitely worth the price.
Excellent property. Amazing staff. A huge shout out to Sarita who works with planet trekkers (kids activities) and to Pravahal (reception). Had a relaxing time by the beach! Thank you
Excellent resort hotel, comfortable and stylish room, Very helpful staff especially in the restaurant. Excellent gym and pool (sea swimming not recommended). Some way from Mahabalipuram and local transport not easy, but worth the trip!
excellent hotel with modern design and layout, very helpful and friendly staff
We really enjoyed our stay with Intercontinental Mahabalipuram. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, prepare special meals for our son and my grandmother, who have dietary restrictions. Over and above, their warmth and hospitality made us feel special all the time. Special mention goes to Zaheer from the front desk, Suresh from the welcoming staff, Pradeep and Anup who were the sous and junior sous chef at the Melting Pot cafe. But really every staff member deserves special mention for doing such an amazing job. We will be back :)
Good ambience, great food and clean beach ! Loved it.
Stayed with family at International. Elegant decor, super comfortable room, excellent food esp huge breakfast buffet spread, extremely polite and courteous staff. Want to thank so many of them but don't remember all names. Special thanks to Tapan and Anup at the restaurant. Would definitely plan to go back there some time.
+ nice beach + sarita at the kids club is very patient and friendly - not child friendly - (i) the kids club "planet trekkers" is clearly an afterthought - its a twin room converted into a kids play area...sort of; (ii) there are long passages with water bodies along side without any protection; (iii) all rooms are accessed after a flight of 5-6 steps - and they have windows that open to the corridor - which is a good 10 feet drop. there is a sticker that says that they cannot be opened more than 4 inches - its a retrofitted piece of wood - but its not effective as the windows in our room opened fully. what makes them dangerous for kids is that they are accessible from the day bed next to them that they can climb onto and open the latch; (iv) the basin height is made for the average Scandinavian...was so high that my 6 year old - who has no trouble in normal bathrooms washing hands on her own - was not even able to reach the water, let alone the tap, even on her tippy toes; (v) the swimming pool has no separate children's area or shallow part - its 4 feet all thru which makes it less fun for little ones still learning to swim. there are steps along the length of the pool which are not marked with different coloured tiles or anything to indicate steps - there is only a large area with no partition between the room and the bathroom. and the curtains that make the partition for privacy dont have overlapping channels so there is always a gap! - no hooks to hang wet clothes..
Good clean hotel. It is an expensive hotel considering the fact that it is faraway from all the attractions. It has a nice and clean private beach. The restaurant was overpriced and the food was average.
Loved the pond view from the room. There were lot of fishes in the pond. Easy walk to the beach. Breakfast buffet was good, had good variety. Close to tourist destinations, no traffic. Friendly staff, traditional welcome.
Great experience... One of its kind... Good staff and ambience... Best for family and friends
Fantastic service ethos, from the check-in and concierge to housekeeping and most restaurants. Large, comfortable rooms. Only the entrance driveway seems rather oddly designed.
The hotel is new, nice and clean ... very big and dlhas its own beach. I can consider this hotel only for relaxing! The beqch has high current .. it is very dengrous to swim. Has just one pool!?!?!!!! 2 restaurants and one beach bar along with food truck. Food selections very limited!! No taxi available around the hotel .. you have only to use hotel transportation to visit the attractive places which is aroind 15 mins by car!! And it is very costy! Nothing around the hotel and no walkable places
