The Dockside Inn & Restaurant

A couple of things, beware if you are over 6 ft for hazards! Also know that street parking is very busy and that there is. No elevator. They also only had 1 key for for adults. Furth t, the rooms are not professionally finished, disappointing for spending over $400//night offseason!

Perfect location, beautiful view!

Amazing view of sailboats and ships with a panoramic vista of Lunenburg Harbour

Our room had a picture postcard view of the harbor in Lunenburg and a kitchen. Furnishings are a little dated but comfortable nonetheless. The convenience of the restaurant downstairs with outdoor dining was great and the food good. We would stay here again.

Wonderful view, spotless room, quiet, with everything close. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a room on the second floor with a nice ocean view. Great location. The toiletries and shower head could be improved.

Fantastic location in Lunenburg. Looked directly out our window at the Bluenose!

Property had a great view of the harbour which included the bluenose a Canadian icon♥️

Everybody was very helpful. Room had the most gorgeous view. The harbour was just a few steps away.

Room 5 had absolutely the best view you could imagine. What a great way to begin our holiday!

Our room was noisy as we were located right beside the air conditioning unit for the whole building. But our view out to the harbour with the Bluenose II in dock made up for any short comings. It is a good offering for a low budget vacation.

Large room with expansive view of the harbor was worth the many stairs to get up to the room.

Friendly staff Beautiful view Clean

Great views of the harbor, but very pricey for the accommodations.

This Inn was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. Unfortunately other than the view it was extremely disappointing. The room smelled musty, the towels were washed but need to be replaced as they were not clean. The bed was totally unacceptable. The headboard and frame need to be updated as you could not move without waking the person next to you. The bed was Extremely uncomfortable and not acceptable to sleep on. We did not get any sleep. Check in was just hand you the key and that was it no explanation on the restaurant or Inn. You also need to plan on parking as this is an extremely busing area and the Inn has no parking you are on your own. We had to park two blocks away and there is no option to pull up and drop bags.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the view from our windows was outstanding. The owner/landlord went out of his way to be helpful and we loved every minute of our stay

Great views of the bay

It was understaffed and slow. Room was clean but construction was sloppy. Soap and shampoo unacceptable for the price. Bar not well stocked.

Like they said, best view in town. It's more than 100% true..!!

Great location

Amazing view! I could literally live in this room. Originally booked a room with one king bed was given a huge room with 2 beds full kitchen, table and living room! Very clean and friendly staff! We had a view of the harbor and the Bluenose!

Heart of the city.

Great location and view. Older building and decor, but the room was clean. Clean towels supplied daily. Coffee maker with pods supplied. Additional pods were given on seconded day, but dirty cups and spoons were not cleaned or replaced. Nightly rate is on the high side, but I guess your paying for the location and the view.

Incredible view. Room was large, comfortable and clean.

Positives: The room was clean, spacious, in an excellent location with a great view. You could walk to shops, restaurants, museums and activities. I was VERY excited to stay here! Negatives: This town is WAY overcrowded with tourists during summer months, and the property has NO PARKING. 😲 That was bad news! We had to wait 45 minutes for a space to open in the $20/day lot some distance away, then we hauled our bags up. The crowds die down after 5:30 and parking opens up, but the restaurants, shops and museums all close early, too. Although I loved the room, the bed was really uncomfortable. The matress was super hard. I tried 3 bed pillows and 2 couch pillows and they all hurt my neck so badly, I ended up using a bath towel for a pillow. We tried to check out early, as did another guest. No one was at the desk. The doors were locked to the office. No one answered the phone. We were strangers to the peopke in the other room, but we were all collectively stumped as to what to do. We all decided to just leave our keys in our doors since they didn't even have a key drop box. It was odd. We were happy to get out of Lunenburg.

The room was surprisingly great. Beds were comfy, employees were really nice, view was amazing. Just be ready, the town goes to sleep at 8pm!

The property was very clean and the view was amazing! Spacious room and newly renovated bathroom. Piles of restaurants within walking distance and located right on the Harbour. Could not beat the location. The only downside was that the listing said there was free offsite parking. This was true between 5 pm to 10 am only, otherwise you had to feed the meter, which in our case only cost $5. It was totally worth renting and we'd definitely return.

The location was amazing. Couldn’t have been better. But they gave us the room under the restaurant & there was a 6-7 ft broken lobster tank outside on our porch. I believe I was charged more than the price listed by Hotel.com

Ok got one night.

A very large room with unbelievable views over the harbour. Very friendly and helpful staff. The downide was primarily the furniture - the sofa has seen much better life and is niow in a poor state and the bed was small with an old mattress.

Place is tidy and has a gorgeous view

Great location and views from the room. The room is spacious with a sitting area with TV that looks out to the water. There’s a kitchen and dining area as well. Parking is on street wherever you can find a spot. We didn’t have an issue finding a spot.

Spectacular views from the room.

We enjoyed our sray. Our rroom was larger with a beautiful view of the habour. Very conveniently located . You can walk to restaurants and shops. There are lots of stairs to our room . If you have mobility issue ask fior a ground floor room

We loved the location of the Inn. Even though a little on the older side, the accommodations excellent. The restaurant was awesome. Great menu

Very convenient. Could use a little updating.

The location and view were excellent.

Close to many activities. Not a lot of parking. Very steep stairs and no elevator.

Incredible view of the ocean from the room. Biggest room with a kitchen for long stays. Very clean just older building and rooms. You can’t beat this in Lunenburg

Right on the waterfront with amazing view! Huge room, lots of little amenities that most dont offer.

The room facing the bay had a great view! It’s just a room with an ok bed. Shower was good and parking is tricky as it’s on the street. We were there in the off season so not too bad but I think in the busiest summer season you may have to park far away. Great location for food and shopping though!

It was close to the harbourfront with a beautiful view out the window

Great location for exploring Lunenberg. The view from our room was amazing.

Wonderful, rustic hotel, huge room on the top floor with an outstanding view! The kitchen was a bonus! Very friendly staff, we felt right at home.

Excellent view. Central location. Very clean. Older building but well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed the waterfront.

What a spectacular view we had from our room. We didn’t draw the curtains so we could always see the view throughout our stay. A wonderful location to experience Lunenburg.

Excellent view from the room!

Large, clean room with a breathtaking view. Staff go above and beyond.

It was good

Stayed here for a night, the harbour view from the room is outstanding! The staff is polite and friendly, the room was very clean and well-equipped.

Location

Beautiful suite so much room excellent stay

Nobody here when I arrived. Just a note stuck on the door for me to call a number provided. Had to carry bags upstairs through an unlocked door to my room, that had the key in the door! Restaurant not open. Parking meters outside so I have to move car by 10am! Room very hot and remote control for heater has dead batteries. The man on the phone was very nice and he has text replies to all my questions but I was expecting a normal check in, even though it's not the height of season. I was here around 5 so it wasn't a late check in.

Excellent experience. And what a view!

Great staff! Room was clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

I had an amazing experience here and would love to book again in the summer

This was our first visit to Lunenberg and though it was out of season we enjoyed our visit immensely, Our room had a great view of harbour, was spacious, clean and felt very homey. Our meal at the Inn was delicious. I would recommend the Dockside Inn.

Staff were so friendly, great food at the restaurant, right in the historic district!

i like being near the water

It was a single night stay, so not much interaction with staff. The onsite restaurant closed too early.

Older hotel very firm bed. But clean and quiet. Great location

View was amazing nice spot restaurant below friendly staff

Great view over the harbour, very large room, dated facility, fridge was so loud we had to unplug it.

This was a beautiful suite - lots of room & very clean. Great location & good restaurant. Great views!!

We were pleased with our stay.

My daughter and I spent 2 nights in room 2 with the most stunning view of the harbour. Friendly staff and very clean.

Overall the location is excellent, the view outstanding, clean and neat. Its a heritage building and that comes with older features, which is to be expected. Parking in Lunenburg is a challenge.

Nice view of the harbour and the Bluenose.

Parking is tricky. the room was wonderful. Lot's of room and the VIEW! Looking out directly over the harbour. I could see the Bluenose from our bed. Would definitely recommend.

Une vue magnifique, pratique avec la cuisine, un espace spacieux!

I booked only room available and it was huge with 2x queen beds, table, sofa, chair & to & full kitchen! Quite a few stairs to climb! It had fantastic views over harbour & beyond! Welcome was not great as busy in restaurant so standing around a bit! I was woken a few times with snoring coming through the wall from adjoining room! Quite disappointing & perhaps having one of the beds on another wall might help? If I could have moved the bed, I would have!!! Also NO PARKING but was lucky to park nearby on arrival!

Inn is old which has a potentially charming aspect about it. Mattress was old and very uncomfortable. Room itself was clean and good bathroom. View of Lunenburg harbour spectacular and easy to enjoy the village and shops. Parking was good We did not eat there.

Room was fantastic, a bit dated, but very good. Staff at check-in and Check-out not at all welcoming. but the location is perfect, with a beautiful view of the harbour. I would recommend it for your stay for sure.

The room was large but not what I expected carpets dirty noise from restaurant above us woke us up early. Parking in lunenburg is all meter parking or up hill we lucked out as we arrived early in the town but can be challenging .

Cute little place to stay. Great location that has a wonderful view.

Very central to all the beautiful attractions in Lunenberg with a wonderful view.

Nice view of the water and bluenose lol.

Very unique, charming, right on the water! Lots to see and do!

The place is right on the dock and offers a great view.

Very busy town we were there for one night only.

View from room was beautiful but building and room was quite dated. Felt price of $258 per night was high for little amenities apart from coffee machine..i.e.no gym, no pool, so your paying for harbour view as room, furniture and building are quite old and worn. Access to rooms is via a stairwell adjacent to tavern. Checkin is within the restaurant which can be a busy area but lady was pleasant and efficient even though she was juggling many demands from restaurant patrons who were lined -up to both enter and leave the restaurant .Lunenburg is a pretty seaside town with lots of tourists and a variety of dining choices.

Location is excellent, in the middle of everything. Old, retrofitted building. No elevator means carrying luggage up a narrow flight of steps.

Hotel is right at the dock in downtown Lunenburg so therefore it was convenient as it was easy to walk around. Finding a place to park on the street in front of hotel is tough but do able later in the day. Beds very comfortable and rooms are clean

Good view for water front

Nice view Walking distance to many restaurants

Great location and large rooms. No elevator.

The loft is well decorated and very convenient. We would definately come back again. The « coup de cœur » of a two weeks trip.

What a wonderful place to experience Lunenburg. I can’t say enough nice things - great staff, comfortable and well appointed room, clean!

Unbeatable views from top floor suites. Lots of space, somewhat dated but clean.

Fabulous biew

Everything about the inn and the restaurant was wonderful. Best seafood chowder ever and the room was spacious with incredible water views. The only drawback was the three flights of stairs to climb.

Great place to visit

Water view of the whole cove and harbor area. Also great food and service

It was awesome with an awesome view from our room & restaurant.

Great people. Beautiful spot

The room was very clean and provided us with everything we needed for a short tip to Lunenburg. The new of the harbour was a highlight. Check in and out was seamless.

Room smelled old , didn’t feel secure , would not recommend family , nicer rooms available I believe?

I was travelling with my elderly father and the staff was so incredibly helpful. The location is perfect. Our room looked into the water and Bluenose II.

Great view of the harbor from the window in our spacious room.

Amazing view, the staff was very helpful and gave us a late checkout upon request with no hassle. Easy relaxing stay close to everything. I would stay here again.
