We have a tiny 4 pound dog so had to book one of only two Dog friendly rooms that stink and are quite filthy.

Location to the ocean

Had a pet friendly room, we do not have a dog & the room smelled like wet dog.Last room available no choice but to stay complained to no avail.

While we enjoyed the hotel, definitely over priced, however understandable due to the location and time of year

Some of the room finishes were looking tired and could have been improved.

It was a very simple room for the cost. But we booked last minute during the summer holidays

The room was comfortable, very clean, and offered everything we would want during our stay. With an excellent restaurant on site, we didn't even seek another place for our meals. The staff there was friendly and provided prompt service.

The venue was described as water view. Unfortunately the fact that a parking lot and road covered that view and could not be seen from the chairs provided. Also we were right next to the restaurant patio and suffered through a huge bachelor party the first night we were there with a lot of noise.

It’s right on the beach, the location is awesome. And the staffs are so warm and helpful.

The view we had looked over the outdoor bar area. Our friends had a full view of the seafront even though our rooms were the same price.

The location is great. The beds were super comfy. The room was clean.

The bathroom was a bit cramped. The tile is super slippy in the bathroom. I slipped twice. The prices of the snacks were ridiculous in the room. For the price I was expecting a little bit more I guess.

I was treated to a birthday celebration at the QB inn during June of this year. I’ve been there a few times and experienced mediocre dinners but June was the worst. Wine at 23 a glass. Tip automatically comes up at 23%. WHAT ! And the dinner Ceasar salad was supposed to be the first course. Wilted and brown and came with main course. Pasta was dry and tasteless. Management when will you look to improving in all areas . You have such a beautiful location, why not up the food standards and ensure staff are trained to ask if a salad should with the main or as a starter!!!!

I guess the loud music coming from the bar/ restaurant is a bit less than restful! I stayed in your hotel in May as well and the hours of 70s music in the evening was a little much when it was so loud. During my latest stay the live instrumental jazz was much more relaxing. I feel it’s quite expensive to stay at your hotel so having the obnoxious music detracts somewhat from the peaceful vibe and devalues the experience. Also, the bathrooms need hooks to hang up wet towels. I do agree it’s not necessary to have fresh towels everyday but it would help to have a place to hang them so we CAN reuse them! I’ve rarely stayed at a hotel that doesn’t have hooks.

Very nice overall would stay again definitely… our room even tho was a last minute booking and was one of their smaller king rooms it was very comfortable best bed in a hotel stay we’ve even had… the pool area with sauna looks very good but didn’t have time to use it… we had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant great both times

This hotel is a stone's throw from the most peaceful beach and the pool area is fantastic with a huge opening door to the outside. The rooms are clean and quiet.

Clean and spacious room, amazing robes, nice with the patio/balcony although it looks onto the parking area and the road. Pool and hot tub were nice and loved it opened out to a patio, although the road across again does spoil it a bit. We had a good night's sleep and staff were very friendly, would stay again for a night or two, probably not a longer stay.

The road, we didn't have time to explore the area but it felt like a bit far away from restaurants and cafes if you didn't eat at the restaurant on site. We drove to a diner for dinner and breakfast.

The food was good but the menu was limited.

Usually the food service in a hotel wants to satisfy the customer but we found breakfast to be too large. All we wanted was toast but we couldn’t get that. Why not?

While we didn't eat a meal at the restaurant, I did have the seafood chowder and my wife had the creme Brulé, and we were both very satisfied with those and the drinks we had. The room was very nice with an excellent view and a balcony with two seats and a table, lacking in many hotels. Also the bed was very comfortable and the pillows really nice. A lovely quiet sleep was the result of the attentiveness of the hotel and its staff.

That's a tough question, as the room didn't have a microwave, but when we asked about it, a staff member heated it and brought it to our room, and that I cannot say enough about, so no I really have nothing negative to say

Consideration for traveling companion who had a sports injury. Ice was brought immediately. Excellent restaurant, and location near the beach.

Great place! Beautiful location. Room was clean and very updated. A little small but functionable. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are into privacy consider the second floor. We had the lower area close to the restaurant and it was a little noisy with people looking into your room. There were no divisions between the lower left hand rooms patios so be prepared to visit with your next door neighbor if you utilize your patio.

The room that we had at first was 1- dark in the daytime due to the window been blocked by a tree, no light coming through,2- nearly fell of a chair that was just hanging from it base. 3- unaware the bed was in a cupboard and had to be brought out of the cupboard, but luckily the lovely young staff helped with bringing it down for us.

The view of the ocean from the room was nice.

There is a roundabout in front of the Inn, so it's quite noisy, plus all the rooms face the road, the restaurant and the parking lot of the restaurant. The room was pretty basic and very small for $320/night! I don't recommend it. It's a glorified motel. The mattresses are too soft. There needs to be a shower hose in the tub for convenience. I wonder how the shower/tub can be cleaned properly without a shower hose. Also the clear glass finish at the top of the bathroom walls is a really poor design decision and a hinderance, brightening the room every time someone is in the bathroom. The sauna was not turned on and it took some time to warm up. It's not how a sauna should be run in a hotel/motel facility.

This hotel was quite simply immaculate. The rooms were beautifully decorated and well appointed. The swimming pool (which I often dread) was the cleanest pool and changing area I have ever visited - complete with Molten Brown toiletries. The restaurant food was as good and staff were warm and polite. Unfortunately the interactions with the front desk staff were not as warm. We were greeted with ‘you should be aware that we are having new carpets laid throughout’. This wasn’t an issue but not what you want to hear when you are tired from the drive. A ‘good afternoon and welcome to Qualicum Beach. How are you today?’ Would perhaps have been a more positive welcome which would then make this place a 5/5!

Comfortable hotel with very good service and a great restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the room had all amenities and a comfortable bed. We had dinner in the restaurant and very much recommend it, great cooking and presentation and our waiter was both friendly and knowledgeable.

Not much the hotel can do about it, but unfortunately, there is a petrol station right in front, which is rather different than the beach front view that is suggested by the photos. In addition, in our room we heard a constant mechanical humming noise which was probably the ventilation of the swimming pool under, so all in all it was a little bit less restful and quiet than we hoped.

The heating units seem to be loud. We were in Room 203 and were not sure if we were over the kitchen exhaust fans or if it was the actual heating units.

Room 220 was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good quality and value for the ingredients. All of us had a late morning breakfast and it was wonderful.

$518 per night is quite expensive. its really a nice standard hotel room with two double beds. tub is a shower next to the toilet. Vanity is single and quite nice. two chairs to sit. no couch. definitely not a big room.

Staff service in restaurant was inconsistent. Person at check out didn’t understand that we wanted to tally up our bill so that we could leave early in the morning. She seemed very confused by this

Quaint beach town. Nice water view. Nicely appointed rooms. The restaurant on-site was great, and the ambiance was wonderful.

There are no elevators to the upper floor. It would have made it easier. It was our choice to be on upper floor. Counter was cluttered with items for sale. This didn't leave much of an area for our things. Same with the mini fridge. We brought items to keep chilled, yet there were items of purchase there, too. Pillows were hard. Bed was comfy, though.

Great inn location very accessible to beach and town.

I did not like the location of our room it was too close to the restaurant so noisy at night. The washrooms for the restaurant and housekeeper’s closet were also across from and next door to the room.

We had the absolute best time at QBI. I have been wanting to go for a while and so we went for my birthday with our 2 kids. The staff were amazing, everyone welcomed us so much. We had two meals in the restaurant and we were treated like family. It was a great place to celebrate a milestone birthday. We all loved the pool and hot tub too.
