After staying in hundreds of hotels around the world – from Australia through Asia and Europe to both Americas – I rarely write reviews with such conviction. This time, however, I feel I must. I stayed at the guest house Hideaway owned by Andy and I sincerely recommend this place to anyone looking for more than just a place to sleep. The restaurant downstairs is a real gem. The food is fantastic – especially the breakfasts, tom yum, and continental dishes. Portions are very generous, and the quality of ingredients and preparation is top-notch. I had a glimpse into the kitchen and saw lovely, passionate ladies who truly care about every detail. The service is wonderfully friendly and always smiling – you can feel they do it with heart. The guest house itself also makes a huge impression. Andy is an exceptional host – he genuinely cares about his guests, remembers details, and makes you feel truly looked after. The rooms are large, spacious, and have their own unique, pleasant vibe. Although the location is perfectly central – right in the heart of the action – it remains surprisingly quiet and peaceful inside. The price, in my opinion, is very attractive, even low considering the high quality of service and you receive. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel like you’re staying with good friends, eat excellently, and be in the center of everything – this is exactly it. Highest recommendation. I will definitely be back.

Nothing really if there was a minor thing was the shower could have been better those small little nozzle shower heads aren’t ideal to have a shower in but the shower was clean and good size

L'emplacement est pratique, en 10 mn a central Pattaya, de la moisissure au plafond dans la salle de bain mais le prix est plus que raisonnable pour la période de fin d'année. Donc je relativise.

Le gros point noir c'est le bruit. Heureusement j'ai toujours avec moi des bouchons d'oreilles 3m mais ma compagne ne les suporte pas et n'arrivais pas a dormir avant que la musique des bars de l'autre côté de la rue s'arrête vers 3H du matin. Pour moi c'est rédhibitoire.

Schöne Größe, alles hat funktioniert, gutes Restaurant, top Lage viele Bars rundherum, wenn die Fenster zu sind, kaum was zu hören. Alles fußläufig erreichbar. Strand 10min, Walking Street 10min , Lady Bars 1min , Mall 10min , Lage top

Die Ausstattung ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber , das Bett Bretthart härtegrad 10 :)

Andy could not have been more helpful. He waited until almost 1 am to admit me as the taxi driver had gotten lost. The staff were very pleasant and the food was very well presented. Great location.

If you are like me and always usually book a 3/4 star hotel but never use the pool, gym and not a fan of buffet breakfast this is the place for you, huge room, much bigger than any standard 4 star hotelroom i have stayed at. The microwave is a nice addition as i like to just warm up some 7 eleven food when i feel lazy and want to stay in. The owner is a great guy from the moment you meet him and made me feel very welcome, the staff was also very friendly. Im definitely coming back here next trip. The breakfast was one of the things i forgot to ask, only had it 2 times since i usually either go before 8am or no time because of golfing. It said included here but i paid both times, maybe its just a specific dish, but i didnt worry about it too much as i rarely had the time to eat breakfast there, the food in general was good and filling.

Wish they add a tiny shelf next to bathroom sink so i could store more of the toiletries, had to have most of it in the other room. Could use a full clean once in a while, like the big mirror is only cleaned on the bottom half where they reached and the top half was not cleaned at all :) and some minor stuff in corners.

I got the top room #6, very large 40+ sm, the thick mattress is a bit harder, which I like. Best internet connection I've had in town so far! I left my room every day between 11am an 2:30 pm. Each time I came back (even after just 2 hours) the staff was already done cleaning my room. A key sensor gives you 24/7 access to the building, the restaurant closes around 11pm.

So, you have to realize a guest house is not a hotel! Here are some points others might not like: The interior, furniture, bath room etc. - not fancy, but more basic. No lift, you need to walk up the stairs. No pool, no gym, no common rooms. No garage for cars or motorbikes (I had to shift around a bit, but could park my bike at the spot every night). If you can live without those amenities, go save yourself some serious money!

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse, Andy the owner is very helpful and always says hello and makes you feel at ease. The staff at this guesthouse are phenomenal Thank you to each and every one of them, very helpful and always smiling and willing to offer advice. A special thanks to Thum, Keaw(2) and Noina. Breakfast was very good value for money. In fact all meals were exceptional. Location was superb :)

Could not fault any interactions with all staff members I had dealings with.

I have always stayed around this area before and often had breakfast at the Hideway. It always felt very relaxed. Access to my room was good even when the restuarant was closed. The room was very spacious and always clean and tidy. Staff here are always welcoming and friendly. The price for my room was very competitive. You are not far from all the local bars and club areas but this is not a noisy area.

Be aware that there is no lift at this property.

Property is great if you are looking for an independent stay. The rooms are big, really big! Also Andy is really amiable!

Only con may be for the guests who aren’t fond of the staircases because this property doesn’t have a lift.

I had a excellent stay here. All basic things were good and the location is perfect. I recommend this place and will return for sure when I'm back in Pattaya.

This was my first time staying at Hideaway. It's conveniently located near to lots of bars and restaurants on Soi Buakhao. It also has it's own restaurant/bar which provides excellent food at affordable rates. I ate either breakfast or dinner there most days during my stay. The staff are very friendly, and the owner, Andy, is a very helpful, customer-orientated guy. My room was large with a comfy bed and a modern TV with loads of cable channels. The room was cleaned regularly and to a very high standard. Hideaway provides excellent value for money. I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly staff. Good size room with electric kettle tea and coffee water and good sized fridge. Bathroom is supplied with soap and shampoo. Tv comes with cable and a good variety of channels. Restaurant/Bar on premises serving a good variety of food and drinks with excellent service. Well located near soi Buakao with a fairly easy walk to Pattaya second rd. Easy entrance after hours when the bar/restaurant is closed.

The shower is more Thai style wet bathroom and fairly basic although there is a shower curtain that keeps some of the water from the bathroom floor.

Room was amazing. Really big with lots of great additions like a British extension lead, kettle with coffee etc, good TV channels, decent balcony, comfy bed, 2 beach towels, big safe, large wardrobes with hangers! Location was great, right in the heart of it all. Bit noisy from bars below but I came home once they all closed so it was fine!!! Nice restaurant/bar as part of the hotel with great menu and service. Staff were great and Andy the owner was always on hand if there was any issues and even gave his number. Deffo my number one destination in future in Pattaya.

It was a great place to stay in the middle of Pattaya. Everything was clean, good wifi, good a/c.

The room I was staying in was pretty loud from the bar across the street, so keep that in mind if you want to go to bed early.

I got a lovely big room on the first floor very comfortable only stayed for 3 days nice friendly bar down stairs right in the heart of Pattaya!!!

the only thing I thought could be improved would be to update the bathroom area.

I have stayed at the Hideaway a few times. It is in a great location right in the middle of the city. The rooms are large and well equipped with everything that a solo traveler needs. The staff are very helpful. I particularly like the fact that the room gets made up when you ask for this to be done, and almost immediately.

The room is well sound-proofed and noise is not an issue on normal days. However, there are ocassionally big, very loud parties at the nearby bars. When this happens, sound filters in. This happened once in the five days that I was there. However, these are generally over by 1 AM
