They bragged about the best breakfast in western and fair play it was, best night sleep I have had so comfy. So clean and the decor was right up my street. The family room was great for a get together, and the garden area too. We had our 7 yr old with us and she loved the fact that he could play games in the family room, and they have all the shovels and spade's for the beach too. They honestly thought of everyting down to the heater\cooler in the room defiinately will be there again. great welcome.. ty so much will soo you both agian xx

Super dog friendly - hosts went above and beyond to accommodate our little dog, setting up a separate table for breakfast so he could be with us, they even brought him a "dog sausage" for breakie... well done 👏 thank you 😊

Cozy environment since its a very large house.

The mattress was too soft. I understand some people might like that but for a good night sleep one needs a firmer mattress. I prefer a firmer mattress. Google's description was taking me to the side street. It could not pinpoint the door which is by the side.

Excellent quality furnishings and detail right down to the tea, biscuits, kettle, television. Landlord even took into consideration the dog allergy. Brilliant couole would stay again if they have us.

Water pressure from the tap was weak, but expected on a second floor.

Brilliant stay on Friday the 28th of August. Wonderful welcome from Scott and all very friendly staff. Great breakfast to set us up for the day. Erik the Jack Russell really appreciated his sausage breakfast. Thank you Scott and your good lady wife.

Very clean room and a very comfortable bed and It was very close to the beach.

Close proximity to the beach and lots of restaurants and pubs

Parking was down the road from the accommodation but safe and secure.

The communication & welcome was really lovely. Gorgeous Georgian style sitting room with high ceilings. Free car parking on street nearby on steep hill. This lovely old guesthouse building is in a quiet area of Weston Super Mare and off the main drag. This was definitely our favourite end of town. The Criterion pub is a lovely friendly local nearby. Dining room & patio is lovely. Cleanliness is good and they have thought about the functionality unlike some hotels eg:- plug sockets near bed with extension leads, long mirror in bedroom, great size wardrobe, fan (we found at end of stay inside wardrobe), coffee mugs instead of small cups, biscuits are a lovely touch with bottles of water. Dog friendly property & we had a ground floor room for easy in/out with dog which was very thoughtful. We would definitely stay again. Next time we shall have breakfast there, it smelt delicious.

Mattress was personally too soft for us & hard to get out of. Shower holder was broken. Bedroom & bathroom very warm. Wifi didn't work on my phone but wasn't a big deal. TV came on randomly in the middle of the night??

Lovely hosts, breakfast was enough to keep you going all day. Room was basic but beds were comfortable. Not too far from main town.

The choice of parking nearby £7 a day or a steep hill, we are the wrong side of 70.

Scott made us some bacon rolls for our excursion over to Steep Holm as we were unable to have a sit down breakfast due to lack of time.

No car park if you took a disabled person with you it's not disabled access and an up and up the hii

Bathroom door was broke plug socket broken internet not connecting properly only saw the person in charge once asked for bottom floor because off a disability but had to climb 37 steps to get to the room.

The whole thing really, we had a slight issue and the response was quick and very helpful, we would definetly stay there again

The property is fantastic, very well run, Scott and Jude the hosts are fabulous and welcoming. Breakfast is cooked to order from proper butcher meat and fresh produce (delicious), lots of options of as much as you can eat. The beds are very, very comfortable, the rooms are very clean and the rooms are very well presented.

The stairs ... lots of stairs but nothing anyone can do about that, it is typical of the type of period property it is... Highlea House is made up of several floors. I wouldn't recommend it to the disabled with walking difficulties.

The B&B is dog friendly. They were very accommodating telling us nice shady places we could take him for a walk and the rules of the beach (when and where dogs could go). The providers were lovely, very friendly, suggesting nice dog friendly places to eat in the evening. Had a lovely stay here and would definitely stay here again. The dog even got a sausage for breakfast.

Although the room was decorated nicely and clean the bathroom was very dated with some plumbing issues and you couldn’t walk down the side of the bed as it was crammed in. I would definitely stay again just not in room no.3

Scott & Judy went above & beyond to make our short stay as comfortable as possible, we really appreciated their attention. It is a dog friendly hotel, they were very kind to our dog - much appreciated. Great breakfasts as well.

Rooms a little small but adequate for 2 nights . Bed really comfortable. Lovely owner bought a sausage for the dog each morning .

Lovely little guesthouse, great location 10 mins from the pier. Room was spacious and had lots of facilities, Scott was lovely and always available, great commincations.

En-suite was very jaded, needed updating and redecorating. Window didn’t seem to close properly.

Lounge downstairs & garden area to front available to guests. Owners made you feel very welcome to use.

Fab u las couple who run the B and B, so accommodating, very welcoming... just lovely people. Wonderful full English breakfast and plenty of choice of fruit, yoghurt, muffin, fruit juice and cereal.

There was a unclean cup left in our room. But not an issue.

The hosts Scott and Judith were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic! The breakfasts were amazing and hot, and we had choice of cereals, fruit etc. The location was fab as we were only 6 minutes walk to the front of the stretch and close to the beach and sand.

The location and a very welcoming host with great knowledge of the area and the car park was close by.

Room was dirty in places. WiFi didn’t connect. Crack in the sink. Toilet seat didn’t fit. No mattress, Just a lump of foam. In my opinion room rate didn’t reflect the room itself.

Room was old and dirty. Torn curtains, pillows and quilt haven't been washed for a very long time. Blanket stunk. Towels were ripped on sides. Massive leak bubble on ceiling. Bathroom ... toilet seat was moving, flush broken, dripping for good 20 min after filling. Mould in shower, broken shower head. Some random old furniture that should be replaced many years ago. The room was a proper drama. Room 12. And 50£ deposit for damages? Everything in this room isn't even worth 50£.

The host, was very friendly and polite, even left 2 bottles of water out the following morning

The size of the bedroom in particular was so small, the bathroom was also small , wardrobe size shower

Scott made us feel very welcome and made our short stay easy. The room was a good size and had everything we needed, plenty of tea and coffee supplies too! The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. We will definitely return.

Lovely welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. A comfortable nights sleep and a fantastic breakfast even a sausage treat all bagged up ready for our dog to take to the beach. The tea tray, bottled water, biscuits and coffee machine in our room was a lovely touch. Very dog and family friendly. Beautiful high ceilings and spacious rooms. We will definitely be visiting again.

Although it is in a great location and close to the beach there's a steep hill which was not great especially being on crutches. There are some small general maintenance issues like a creaking toilet door. Also, depending on which room you stay in you can hear the people in the next room but other than that it was great and we will be returning.

Just arrived back from a lovely stay with my son and my pooch. Warm welcoming hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing. Even the dog got a sausage! Excellent location. Lovely room. Definitely return.

Plenty of tea/coffee and water in the room. Only a short walk to the sea front. A lovely lounge. We enjoyed our stay, I will definitely use again. Thanks :)

The owner was very accommodating with our late arrival and was very welcoming.

The mattress in our room dipped in the middle. The windows didn't close properly and we couldn't shut the bathroom door. There was only one bedside lamp.

Very disappointed with not being given breakfast most places do breakfast early in the morning they only did breakfast after 8 o’clock if I know that I would not have paid for breakfast and haven’t been offered a refund either for something that I didn’t have

The garden was very messy and could of done with a clean up and the bathroom smelt very damp

The host was exceptional. The living room was decent and had netflix and amazon The living room was pleasant bit The microwave unclean. The breakfast was really good. But the cutlery, cups, glasses etc was dirty.

The tv remotes were sticky and grimy, the room was dingy, and the bathroom and shower was dingy and unclean. I asked the owner to bring disinfectant wipes to clean the remote. He appeared offended. He told me to clean the remote myself to my liking. I had to buy additional wipes to clean the room. We did not shower for x2 days as it didn't feel clean in there. The tv was limited. The mattress was awful and uncomfortable. It just felt really unsanitary and just not clean. The carpet was grimy. The doors were splintered. The walls sticky. The light switchs were dirty. The sink was cracked. It was unfortunate because I really wanted to like it.

Lovely guest house close to beach. Scott the host was very accommodating & made us & our little dog feel very welcome.

Room (5) was a bit snug but near the front door which was handy with taking the dog out.

Lovely and comfortable, a very nice lounge and able to see the sea!
