Lovely property, beautiful views! The cottage, was very well maintained & clean. All the bedding was nice & fresh & clean, making for an excellent sleep. *Some wonder/worry about damp or dusty; this was fresh & spotless! Totally recommend Chisolms of Troy Coastal Cottages.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Great view. Very peaceful. The grounds are huge, and the begining of the coastal trail is right below, and great for a walk. The lication was goid for us, so we could split the drive from cape breton to our next destination.
The bathroom was small and no room near the sink for our toilrtries. The bed is exteremly high for a short person like me (1.55 m)

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026The location, the size of the cottages, the kitchen and living room, the gas fireplace for the 2 bedroom one. It was very clean, amazing view, had everything we needed for also cooking in one night.
The only thing is the king size 1 bedroom cottage seems a bit too tight to walk around. It would fit a queen better.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026We brought our own food. Nice to have your own kitchen. The cottage was clean and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The scenery was amazingly beautiful. The staff were very friendly. Short drive to beautiful sandy Port Hood ocean beach with clean washrooms. Scenic drive to Port Hood or Port Hawkesbury to purchase amenities. This was my second time at Chisholm of Troy cottages and I can see myself staying here again.

A covered porch with chairs and a picnic table are there for you to enjoy the outdoors. Arrive with everything you need (coffee!) as this is a rural property without amenities nearby. Would stay again.

Reviewed Sep 17, 2025This was the BEST cabin rental EVER!! It was so perfect - the view, the grounds to walk on, the trail and the hill on the property. The cabin was fully equipped and super clean and comfortable. They think of everything. We will be back again for certain. Nice to have a coffee on the chairs on our cabin porch in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening - amazing view!
