Peaceful location, good breakfast. Lovely staff
Friendly and comfortable. Great place!
Location
Needed a deep clean Breakfast not as advertised Walls paper thin Our dinner reservation was cancelled at very short notice and we had to make last minute arrangements
Reception staff really helpful. Comfortable bed
Rude waiter behind the bar. When served with a flat beer (Tribute), l asked for an empty glass to tip it into, this often revives the beer and puts a head on it. The waiter said there was nothing wrong with beer. I pointed out that I had been drinking beer for more than 60 years and that I run the bar at my local bowls club, so should know a little bit about beer. The barman then raised the glass to his lips and took a sip, he then placed it back in front of me declaring there was nothing wrong with the beer. I pointed out that I had only asked for another glass to try and refresh it, now that he had drunk from it I would need a fresh beer. He reiterated that there was nothing wrong with the beer. I asked why he was being so funny about it, the waiter said I think you are the one being funny about it. At this point I went to reception to get another member of staff. I think the people in reception had heard the conversation. The lady on reception just said that she would talk to him. I returned to the bar, the waiter and the flat beer had gone and what I thought was a replacement beer was on the bar. Thinking about it later I could imagine that he may have poured the flat beer into another glass and revived it even after him having taken a sip. Housed in a cabin in the grounds. Room 61. Small shower, no wardrobe, no fridge and a small window. My sister’s room, room 60 was bigger with a wardrobe and fridge, and a much larger shower and much larger window.
Clean room, welcoming staff, great shower
Cups were too small
Suite room was spacious and unexpected. Was gorgeous. The bed was very large, this was definitely a bonus when in the middle of a heatwave.
Lovely room, comfy beds, good location.
Bathroom had a high step in it up to toilet, no warning of step, no step edging and no handrail. Would not suit someone with mobility issues. No lift and fairly step narrow staircase. Do not accept room 24 unless fully fit. Don't answer messages or emails.
Wonderful location!
Mattress was not very comfortable, dipping in the middle...
Location and grounds lovely, room spacious and clean, breakfast tasty and good selection, bar and restaurant available, though I only used the bar.
Power showers are never really great, keep going too hot or too cold, shower gel provided not very good quality, walls must be quite thin as neighbour coming back in middle of night was very noisy and woke me and kept me awake until he went to bed, although this isn't the hotel's fault.
Clean. Very good breakfast. Ate there one evening, good basic food at a reasonable price. Staff were very friendly. Out of town but good location if you have a car and want to visit local area. Interesting historic area. Worth looking up Daniel Judd who first built on this land at the time of the English Civil War.
Nothing we didn’t like. Slightly quirky place, out of hours access by back door but not a problem.
Good location for us visiting family
Bath panel needs replacing but not a big problem
Location was beautiful
Soap wasn’t in the bathroom, shower gel bottles not refilled and were empty. Water wasn’t out in the room.
Lovely location
staff were great
room was very small
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of fruit, cereal and hot food. The room was very clean and was stocked with a range of hot drinks. Parking was easy an the grounds were large enough to enjoy an evening stroll.
When we arrived the staff were lovely and friendly. The grounds are lovely. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary and in our room the staff left us a box of chocolates and red and white wine which was a lovely touch. We had a lovely tuna sandwich lunch with salad and chucky chips which was lovely.
The only negative feedback I would leave is when we had our evening meal in the restaurant, there was no background music at all, which made it slightly uncomfortable being not a busy evening as it was a Monday with only two other guests eating. Some kind of background music would have been nice however the meal was amazing.
Great location, big room, very clean. Bed was very comfortable.
I went there for my friend’s wedding, beautiful ceremony, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
The location is a bit far from the city making it difficult to walk from and to center and getting a taxi is difficult if You don’t plan ahead
Perfect location for our needs
Nothing….all good!
Lovely staff. Spacious rooms. A nice rural setting.
Need to drive to get into Faversham as it’s about 2 miles from the centre.
Breakfast was exceptional staff was very helpful.
Would have liked to have stayed in the main hotel.
We got married here in June 2026 and had the best day ever. Leading up to our wedding our wedding planner Carlie was so helpful, answering all our silly questions and guiding us to have the perfect day. Our room was beautiful and spacious. We couldn't have had a more perfect day ❤️
Room door just opposite the designated parking, huge common garden area.Cold water in the fridge plus glasses a nice touch
Room size was too small for 3.
We booked our wedding here and can honestly say it was amazing . Carlie talked us through everything and shared with us helpful hints and tips , nothing was too much trouble .i (the bride and bridesmaids ) stayed the nivht before and had a beautiful breakfast . The rooms were spacious and so comfy .... the wedding ran like clockwork ..we had the best day .... big thankyou to carlie and the team , you all do judds folly proud . Lots of love lisa and matt aug 22 , 2026 bride and groom xxx
We had our wedding at Judds Folley and the location was perfect for us. We had great day from start to finish and Carlie our wedding planner was fantastic. The venue is perfect as well as everything is in one place. The family stayed after the wedding were all pleased with their rooms. Our accommodation was excellent. Thank you to all at Judds Folley for giving us a great day.
We were replaced
We actually stayed at the hotel
We honestly cannot thank Carlie and the entire team enough for giving us the greatest day of our lives. From the moment we started planning our wedding, Carlie was incredible. She was warm, caring, attentive and completely invested in making sure our day was everything we had dreamed of. The way she planned and executed every detail was exceptional, and on the day itself, she took every ounce of stress out of our hands and allowed us to simply be present and enjoy every moment. The staff were absolutely wonderful throughout the entire day. Nothing was ever too much trouble, everything ran seamlessly, and we felt so looked after from start to finish. It was clear how much care and pride everyone took in making our wedding so special. Our outdoor summer ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The setting was genuinely breathtaking, with the perfectly kept green grass, beautiful greenery surrounding the area and the open fields stretching out in the background. It created such a peaceful, romantic and unforgettable atmosphere. As the evening went on, we were even treated to the most beautiful sunset, which made an already perfect day feel even more magical. The venue itself was stunning, and the value for what we received was exceptional. Our suite was beautiful, clean, warm and incredibly welcoming, and our guests said exactly the same about the rooms they stayed in. Everything felt comfortable, well looked after and of a really high standard. The location was also perfect and made the whole experience even better for us and our guests. We went into our wedding hoping for the perfect day, but what Carlie and the team delivered was so much more than that. They created an incredibly warm, loving and unforgettable celebration surrounded by the people we love most. Every little detail felt personal, thoughtful and perfectly executed. We will forever look back on our wedding day as the greatest day of our lives, and Carlie and the whole team played such a huge part in making that possible. We genuinely cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did for us — we will be forever grateful.
Very convenient location for us. Clean, large, room with comfortable bed.
Only one combined shower gel/shampoo. Disappointed that there was no hair conditioner. It's the little touches that make a good stay great.
The room was not particularly clean, a bit grubby/cobwebby, paintwork not good, headboard seemingly broken, noisy floorboards from room above etc etc.
Staff very helpful and professional Wonderful and clean rooms - breakfast was well worth the money
Nothing
Convenient for work meeting
Not clean, dust pretty much everywhere and not light dust, some areas thick with dust. Headboard was broke, not been fixed, had to move room as tv not working, new room covered in cobwebs on the walls cobwebs covered in dust. Really disappointing and if I had not been so far away would have driven home.
The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and very friendly staff
The bedroom was in a separate building away from the dining room and reception, it wasn’t a problem because of light nights and good weather, wouldn’t be great if raining / winter dark nights. Meetings being conducted by the events planner in the bar area was very uncomfortable as the planner had a loud voice and there was no privacy
Currently on way home from our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding I didn’t want to forget to leave an amazing review for the wonderful service we received from all the staff at Judd’s Folly .Every single member of the team was friendly professional and attentive.. 26 of us stayed the night before all eating in the restaurant with lots more staying the night of the wedding and everyone said how lovely and clean the rooms were.. the food was delicious and fresh from the breakfast all the way through to the wedding day meal . A special shout out to the lovely Vicky who welcomed us on arrival at reception with her lovely smile and friendly nature putting us all at ease ,I knew then we was all going to have a great time. She is a little ray of sunshine ☀️ also the young man that attended the bar on both nights I think his name was Cisco ? he was both charming and professional, remembering my little splash of lemonade with every drink without me even having to ask. 🫶 Last, but not least the wonderful Carly🌸 No words are enough for her exceptional work, not only on the day but leading up to the wedding with her constant support for our daughter and her husband Taking on Every need and request leaving them with nothing to worry about.. Our daughter enjoyed her day with no nerves just pure Joy and that was down to Carly taking complete control with what seemed like at ease, but I can only imagine how stressful it must be with the pressure of someone’s big day in your hands …if anyone was ever in the right job it’s Carly 🫶We as family will be forever grateful to Carl and the whole team xx
Quirky…. Had a 1950’s feel to the set up…..Our room had the view of the woodland area to…. Lovely to wake up to.
On the hottest day of the year, no air con in the room…😂
Location good nice setting
Room very hot
Prima kamer, rustig gelegen in groot park
There was a fridge and fan in the room which were very welcome given the current hot weather. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Very disappointed as not up to expectations / usual Best Western Standards. A bit tired as a hotel. It was not as described - no safe or bathrobe. You needed to be a contortionist as the toilet paper was on the cistern behind the loo, as there wasn’t a toilet roll holder! Insufficient space to hang towels. No hand soap on arrival we had to request this. Bedroom not serviced one day as we had do not disturb notice on door and they finish cleaning at 10, which we weren’t aware of / notified about. TV had interference until we investigated and found that the aerial was hanging on by a thread literally, electric shower was temperamental and ran hot / cold at will. Very difficult to adjust. Entrance to grounds / hotel is precarious, especially when exiting due to poor visability regarding traffic.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A beautiful venue, both inside and out. Carlie and all the staff were so organised, friendly and polite, and were always on hand to help whenever needed. A special mention has to go to all the staff who were working in the early hours of the morning to make the room look absolutely beautiful. The amount of effort and hard work that went on behind the scenes really showed, and we truly appreciated everything they did. Everything went off perfectly without a single issue. Carlie was fantastic from the very beginning, keeping everyone organised and making sure everything was ready and running smoothly. She was so helpful throughout and really made everything feel stress-free. A beautiful venue with a fantastic team. We would definitely recommend it!
We held our wedding reception at Judds Folly Hotel, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The reception room looked stunning. It had been beautifully decorated and was everything we had hoped for. A huge thank you to Carlie, who did an amazing job with both the decorating and organising. She was so helpful throughout the process, making sure every detail was just right and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. Her hard work and attention to detail really made a difference. The room itself was fantastic – spacious, elegant, and the perfect setting for celebrating with our family and friends. Everything came together beautifully, creating such a lovely atmosphere that so many of our guests commented on. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding reception and would highly recommend Judds Folly Hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with excellent service. Thank you to Carlie and the whole team for helping make our special day so memorable!
Staff cordiale e simpatico. Lo consiglio veramente x chi vuole rilassarsi. Dista a 6 min dal centro di favesham.
Lovely atmosphere and staff friendly.
Nothing
I've stayed here several times and it is always a very comfortable room, and very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast too.
I would've liked to have been able to open my window, but it was sealed shut. Made me feel very claustrophobic given it was the height of summer - and a heatwave! I was very glad to find an electric fan in the room.
Location was very pleasant countryside. Room - nice decor, good bed and shower. Extras like ironing board, towels, hairdryer and fan. Also tea making facilities and tv. The breakfast although not included in the price was very tasty. Plenty of choice, buffet style.
That the rooms were not closer together. That breakfast wasn't included in the price.
Receptionist very busy on her computer when we arrive in the end a waitress booked us in.
Nothing
Easy booking, great location, good room.
Every thing the beds the room oh and the towels
The fridge was a bonus but it was loud
Room/suite was very good. Facilities very good. We did not have breakfast, as there wasn't a cheaper, Continental style option advertised.
The parking by the rooms was very limited. There is a need for a general car park near the entrance. Signage by the road needs improving - we drove past entrance first time, as sign looked as if for industrial premises!
Lovely room and location and breakfast was very good and great value
From the moment we arrived until the very end of the night, everything was absolutely perfect. Our wedding day was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined, and it truly was the best day of our lives. Every single member of staff was so kind, welcoming, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran seamlessly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every precious moment with our family and friends. A huge and heartfelt thank you to Carlie, our incredible wedding coordinator. From the very beginning, she was there every step of the way, making the whole planning process feel effortless. On the day itself, she was simply amazing—calm, organised, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. Knowing she was there meant we didn't have to worry about a single thing, and we are so grateful for everything she did to make our dream wedding become a reality. We will never forget how special everyone made us feel. The love, care, and attention to every little detail created memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the most magical day we could ever have wished for. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough.
We had the absolute joy of choosing Judd's Folly for our recent wedding in July. We were lucky enough with the weather to hold the ceremony outside and the reception was held in the beautiful function room. The day itself was flawless thanks to Carlie and every single member of staff were AMAZING! Honestly, I couldn't recommend Judd's highly enough! They will ensure your special occasion is one to remember!
Lovely welcoming hotel in nice grounds
Great location and well appointed room. Safe free parking, lovely friendly staff.
Room only at £99 was a bit steep.
Nothing
We were not advised about a wedding reception. Lounge area was noisy so we returned to our room. Had we known we could have cancelled. The buildings are old and not cared for. Very strange outbuildings. We thought we had booked a room in an hotel. We were in a old building and had to walk with our luggage along a rough gravel drive to our accommodation. There were notices on the bathroom wall saying we had to run the hot water tap in the basin while having a shower because there were airlock in the system. Windows had to be left open in thr bathroom because if condensation.
On arrival the staff were most helpful and attentive, but after going to our room which felt very cold even after closing the window. After an uncomfortable nights sleep we noticed firstly there was not a bath mat( even though this was a disabled room) the chairs in the room were torn and dirty plus the two tea cups were also cracked and a health hazard. Lastly the breakfast was disappointing bacon, black pudding dry and mushrooms over boiled with no taste. My wife could not eat the breakfast as a guest decided to play with her hair and then touch the food.My wife was offered a fresh meal but we had a prior appointment and did not have the time to wait. A.H.Bridle.
Staff were very friendly! Great breakfast.
friendly welcome
Wedding reception bar area closed to residents,,no comfortable indoor seating available. Room had a musty smell and was indeed a small double with limited storage space.
Grossartiges Buffet mit reichhaltiger Auswahl. Auch die warmen Speisen standen à discression zur Verfügung. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen.
Nichts, alles war ausgezeichnet!
Good location and set in nice grounds
Room was dark and smelt very musty or damp. The bed was comfortable but really all in need of a revamp.
toller standort
Check in was friendly and efficient. All the staff were busy with a wedding but they still made time for us. Our rooms were lovely in buildings away from the main hotel with their own bit of outdoor space (it was very hot!). Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Gf well catered for with their own toaster which is brilliant. We'll come again.
Clean elegant and comfortable, lovely full English breakfast
Bacon was hot but eggs and mushrooms were cold
We only found out on arrival that we couldn't have dinner because the venue was hosting a wedding.
I stay at this hotel regularly with work and have always found the reception staff and the room to be of a high standard. The evening meal is always of a high standard and the breakfast the following morning is second to none. I must admit the poor reviews on here are not justified as the food and staff are fantastic. I hold no loyalty to the hotel but as a regular customer I say what I see and think most bad reviews are from people who would complain anyway. Keep up the great work as this is a wonderful hotel to stay at.
Well equipped room with large smart tv - well suited for my one night stay
Wi-Fi did not work correctly in room or communal areas - had to use my personal hotspot
A fantastic hotel with welcoming staff and lovely rooms.
Best breakfast
Slightly Dusty with the fan, desk and wardrobe
A delightful nights stay at this hotel.... dinner was very good. Breakfast was everything you could possibly want Grandaughter had the blackpudding and loved it....they even gave her some to take home!!! What could be better than that! Well done yo everyone ....loved it x
It was clean, the rooms (Yew) were unbelievably comfortable and large. I didn’t want to leave.
The breakfast room was a bit small.
excellent and helpful staff , great setting away from all the hustle and bustle. Good amenities and plenty of safe parking.
everything worked just fine
Location, comfortable and excellent value for money.
Very friendly helpful staff. Hotel in beautiful setting. Food good. Newly decorated, comfortable room.
Room had odd smell.(17)
Very good breakfast, very clean and nice room. The staff are very friendly will definitely stay here again
Nothing
Great setting, very nice staff especially the receptionist Vicky who was so friendly and helpful, very clean accommodation and great on site facilities
I travelled by motorcycle and the gravel entrance from the road is difficult to negotiate and is in need of repair
Perfect location. Room was immaculate and as we had number 43. A lovely view over the grassland with sheep. Everything was spotless and the bed was huge and very comfy. We stayed b and b . Breakfast was the best we have ever had in any hotel . As it was last time we visited. Our 3rd visit now and each time has been amazing. We now call it our getaway place ! Far from the madding crowd but close enough to enjoy days out. All the staff were amazing and big thanks to Vicki for her help at breakfast with extra bacon for me. The fried bread was just like my mum made ❤️. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Gorgeous and unusual hotel - lovely staff team
N/A
Lovely grounds, staff great.
Only way to get ventilation at night was to open windows at ground level, allowing access from outside which felt unsafe. Power Shower temperature fluctuated wildly. Breakfast was mid level. Could be so much more with the right attention to details.
It’s in a lovely location
It’s dated and a little ramshackle
Great location, close to faversham town but still in the quiet countryside
Thin walls if you have noisy neighbours!
I booked our wedding party at Judds Folly and the service was amazing. Carlie took what we wanted and made the evening really special we didn’t have to worry or stress about anything. The venue was perfect, the food was great and it all went off without a hitch. I cannot thank the staff enough for the way they looked after us, everyone was so friendly and professional and all our guests said what a brilliant evening it was. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to arrange a function of any sort.
We stayed for four nights. This is one of many hotels that we have stayed at , but this place was outstanding. Great room, superb staff , and really good breakfast and evening meals. As a bonus there are a number of good countryside strolls straight out of the hotel grounds.
The staff, particularly Vicki, were brilliant.
The shower
Location was ok
The doors one had to go through to get to your room, the size of the room, no bath, shower doors did not close properly so floor got wet, an uncomfortable bed, high mirror in the bathroom, limited formal parking areas.
We had one of the bigger rooms in Yew Cottage at the back of the hotel. It was large, well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful parkland and ideally situated for onward travel to Canterbury.
Parts of the hotel (mainly around the side were a bit shabby and rundown; though you only see it as you walk past. It was very quiet - only 3 couples in the dining room on a Friday night - and occupied entirely by older folk (like us!) which might not suit younger people.
We recently celebrated our wedding at Judd's folly! We looked at lots of different venues but Judd's folly stood out from the others because of the attention to detail and the service received. I genuinely don't think we could have had what we had anywhere else because nowhere else has Carlie! Nothing was too much trouble on the day or in the build up to it. So many guests commented on how nice the venue was - especially the food! Thanks so much for having us and we look forward to celebrating our anniversaries with you
Dinner and breakfast. and the lovely grounds.
Freshly cooked breakfast was very good.
Bar range is quite limited, but there is a few.
Its location, it was close to the venue that we had a party at so was only 5 mins drive away which was perfect
The cleanliness of the room could have been much better, finding hairs in the draws and bathroom isn’t the nicest.
My Rotary club held their Presidents Ball there. The function room was decorated beautifully and the meal was excellent. A number of us stayed over and enjoyed a buffet style breakfast in the relaxed dining area. The atmosphere in the hotel is warm and friendly, with all the staff being helpful, attentive but also professional.
The hotel grounds were lovely
The bar closes very early
Lovely room and grounds. The staff are friendly and helpful as ever.
We arranged our annual Rotary Clubs Presidents Ball at Judds Folly. From our initial contact right to the final whistle Carlie and her team were amazing. We had 50 people attending with a multi choice menu which covered nearly all bases. For those that had dietary requirements they were happily accommodated. The dining area and ballroom were decorated to perfection. The food was excellent; I had the cod which was presented perfectly. Some of us stayed overnight (we have done so a couple of times in the past). Our room was excellent and a small treat bag was left for our two Pomeranians. Breakfast was self service and the choice from continental to cereals and full English was fresh a regularly replenished. Overall a fantastic experience and one we are planning again. I need to add that we had a few things not go to plan from our side. Not only did Carlie do her utmost to help she regularly put our minds at ease and made us feel special. A wonderful hotel (Faversham’s best kept secret). Wonderful location and beautiful surroundings. Thank you.
Excellent service from everyone at Judds Folly Hotel. They organised a Celebration of Life event very effectively: the food, drink, responsiveness and service were all first class. Highly recommended.
Loved the idyllic country location. Easy to find and beautiful grounds to walk my dogs around.
The WiFi didn’t work in our cottage room.
Quiet
Resturant closing at 8pm
Location
The room was fantastic . The staff were great.
The meal I had there on the night was not very good. The common steak was undercooked and the chips were overcooked.
Beautiful location and lovely hotel. Friendy staff willing to help. Food very good.
Shower pressure was very poor but we were in one of the cottages on site so the hotel may be better.
The hotel was in a good location very quiet , very comfortable beds lovely room
The only thing was the shower tray was VERY slippery no anti slip on there and I slipped hurting my foot
