Not a very passionate checking in staff. Seems uncaring about their customers. Breakfast basic and not interesting. Save your money. Coffee is bad. Go to Starbucks around the corner. Ok for a stay for one night. Booked because of location.

Fixtures and fittings in room are becoming dated

We spent the night feeding mosquitos whole night in the hotel room. The kids got bit on the arms and legs with many red lumps on their skin everywhere. It was a sleepless terrible night fighting the bloody mosquitos. It ruins the initial impression given us from the nice external environment of the hotel. Because of this experience we can't give it more than 3 stars.

It was a five stars hotel. However. Swimming pool was under renovation.

Why the fridge was locked till request to unlock?

Hotel located within walking distance to lots of shops. Hotel is very clean, very quiet. I would stay here again. It’s a 10 stars for me

personal service and cleaniness

No food available after 9pm and there is also no ATM at the hotel or nearby, which makes it difficult to buy food at the restaurants outside that were open. Otherwise are the room and bed very nice. Staff is so-so, not very helpful or eager to help. No one to greet when arriving and helping with the taxi.

Hotel lobby is very beautiful, like European palace, hotel staff service is good and polite, the room is also very clean, no smell, this stay experience was wonderful next time

God choice if you need to be close to south railway station. Comfortable and nice staff

Hotel is decent and clean with a fairly nice pool. That said, we had to call maintenance twice to fix our lights. Pool hours posted were 7:00 AM-9:30 PM, but when asked if they could open the pool for us (at 3 PM) they initially said we had to wait until 5 PM. Many websites say that this is a 5-star hotel, but it is definitely 4-star! Lastly, the breakfast was a huge let down. Hours are from 7-10:30. We arrived at 9:30 almost all of the food and condiments were gone. They replenished everything after 10:00 and by that time we were done eating. Funny thing is around 10:10 they started trying to shoo people out..?? Customer service is pretty poor here!

My first review, after reading many. If you do not speak the language and need the internet DO NOT STAY HERE. FYI the location suited my business need as it was equidistant between multiple projects and was a WYNDHAM, but turns out in name only. I was recommended a hotel by my contacts but chose the most centrally located Western hotel, big mistake. Nobody speaks English here, I paid for the Executive Floor (for 5 nights) so I could enjoy the benefits but they don't exist, the club lounge was not open for my entire stay. The room was great, but the WIFI is so poor it didn't compensate at all. There is nothing nearby but a large shopping center, if you have some language it may work but I ended up at KFC and Maccas at night as the hotel room service and restaurants were awful. If you only need breakfast you can get by, the omelettes are great, coffee machine is passable, orange juice etd - but expect nothing else unless you eat like a local. And, there is no bar....

If you expect to have laundry done at this hotel stay someplace else. I sent my laundry out with the front desk/housekeeping and the laundry was not delivered to the laundry and when I inquired about it we had to hunt it down so I could leave with 2 bags of DIRTY LAUNDRY This hotel is not on my list of places to stay in Foshan. The staff was cordial but severely lacking in English skills. For an international hotel I would have expected a larger number of staff to be able to speak english

First the positives - good sized rooms, great bathtub, very large bed, staff polite and friendly Negative points - very weak internet, stained bedroom carpet very off putting , noise from an industrial complex on view from my room, restaurant staff snatched away plates and food before I had finished eating! Breakfast buffet mostly Chinese food, few staff speak any English. Stayed two nights on a business trip but weak internet plus China’s block of Google and gmail caused endless problems. At night the restaurant serves only a buffet. Went to eat one hour after the restaurant opened, hardly any food left, discarded plates on tables throughout the room, no staff to be seen. Made a swift exit and ate in the mall next to the hotel! Catering and internet really let the hotel down. In my opinion it’s not a four star hotel

I stayed here on a business trip. My room was clean and comfortable, checking in was fast and easy, and the staff was very helpful, especially with arranging transportation out of Shunde. The property was in a great location for my meetings in Shunde and I would definitely stay here again. I'd like to give special thanks to the concierge; after I missed by bus to Shunde Harbor the concierge acting quickly to arrange a reliable and inexpensive taxi ride for me. I made it to my boat on time thanks to his effort!

I enjoyed my stay at Wyndham Foshan...the front desk staff was extremely helpful to all my needs. The breakfast buffet was good and the manager made sure I had fresh hot coffee. There is a mall right next to the hotel...many shops and restaurants. The only improvement I see is the carpet in the room was filthy dirty and stained.

Just stayed one quick night on business trip after flying into guangzhou pretty late. Very nice hotel for the price, breakfast buffet was very nice with western and chinese options of a full buffet breakfast. Service was good and rooms was excellent.

Overall this hotel exceeds my expectations. The location is very convenient to get food, drink etc. It also not too far to get to the high speed train station.

We only stayed one night at this hotel, but we would definitely like to come back! We had a lovely room with very comfortable beds and pillows, quite and efficient AC and a luxurious bathroom with a large tub. Everything new and very clean. We arrived at approx. 8.30 p.m. and had not yet eaten. We were told checking in that we could still have dinner at the restaurant with a buffet of both Chinese and Western food. However, a quarter of an hour later the restaurant had either closed, or we didn't find the right one - and no one helped us find it. Fortunately there was a mall right next to the hotel, where the restaurants were still open. Easy and efficient check in and check out. Very nice breakfast with good coffee, bread, fresh omelettes etc., plenty of space, no lines, nice calm atmosphere, friendly English speaking staff.

Very solid hotel right near Sun and Moon pagodas. 5-star? No, but very solid 4. Everything was very nice. Could use a little more/better English at the front desk. Want a cheap western breakfast? Go across the street to the hostel...

Location is good, there is a mall near by. Service is above standard.

The hotel is located in good location very close to shopping area which have KFC and Starbucks. I face a problem with AC of my room and room is too far to elevators. At this time of the year the weather is a little bit hot with humidity up to afternoon. At night the weather was great. That was my first day and more updates will come next.

I really enjoyed a very comfortable stay in this hotel. Rooms are neat and clean, service is very good. Location is 3/5. I would prefer to stay again. highly recommended. If want to stay in Shunde, Wyndham is a best choice.

One of a shower towel had a quarter-size hole from age - A very slight sewage stench from the toilet (happens often in small cities/towns) - Standard room is a bit small - Gym / pool - are not included, require an extra payment - Spa was not working on Thursday Would book this hotel again... even with the flaws - it's still the best one close to Guangzhou South train station

It was pathetic experience to stay at this hotel. Worst experience of life. I checked in at around 1 am. The room temp was showing 22 degree but within 30 mins it went high to 26 degree and it's was difficult to even sit in room. When we called the front desk. For one hour they kept saying they are doing something. After 1 hour I went to lobby at 3 am and met lobby manager. He said they cannot do anything. This is best they can do which is 26 degree. Next day some management came up to my room and took me to lounge and introduce me to another lady saying she is room director. She is giving me explanation that I am foreigner that's why feel hot and Chinese people like 26 degree. As per her this hotel is only meant for Chinese and not foreigners. I request everyone don't ever recommend or book this hotel. Hotel is nice but the services are very very poor. All I can say they just switch off the air conditioner to save electricity bills. On 15th march the outside temperature was 10-12 degree and roll temperature was fixed to 26 degree. After regular complaints also they cannot help. I know I had such terrible condition. I felt as I am almost die in this heat after paying to hotel.

Great service at the front desk! The room was nice clean but carried a light unpleasant smell... my colleagues also had the same experience in their rooms. Breakfast was not great but ok. A bit disappointed that we had to pay for our game of snooker!

There is a shopping mall just next to the hotel, which is very convenient for some shopping and meals. Heard that there is train station nearby, but we are not too sure where it is. It seems that you can take a train from Airport to this hotel (having to change trains in a couple of stations and the total travelling time is estimated 2hr 40mins) The room is clean, cosy, spacious and comfortable. Our room faced the swimming pool (which is under maintenance at the moment), so it is quiet and we had good quality sleep. There isn't any smoke smell in the room. The bathroom is big with a tub and separate shower area. The hotel staff is friendly, helpful and professional. They make us feel welcomed and comfortable. This is definitely a hotel that we will want to come back again when we return to Shunde.

Hotel adjoined to sun link walk mall...lot of outside food options there .MacDonald,KFC,PIZZA HUT and lots of mainland food options with Thai restaurant. very good Hanan restaurant in top floor near Mobil phone and gadget selling area .

Think twice before booking this hotel, if you are a non-smoker. Smokers were given rooms on the non-smoking floor, smoking in the lobby and other public areas of the hotel was tolerated. Poor management! Average for non-Chinese: the breakfast buffet. Great: the 25 m long outdoor-swimming pool!!!

As to get early train to Guangzhou, we stayed a night in this hotel. The receptionist was nice while checking in. The lobby of the hotel was so grand setup and we were so amazed with the big TV screen which was simulating the deep sea aquarium. Room was standard 5 star setup and very comfort to stay. The corridor access to lift was a bit dark but acceptable. The location of hotel so how was very good as shopping was just sited opposite the hotel within walking distance. We have early train to catch up and we have transport arranged by hotel easily.

VERY impressive hotel, and after my quick trip up to the room, I walked around (and for the very first time in years) actually took photos of various places around the hotel. It is a VERY impressive hotel, given where it is situated and has a real old world look about it, with pleanty of marble, beautiful woodwork and colorful carpeting. The rooms were impressive to say the least (not the cleanest, with the carpets messed up in some places) but the bed, and I cannot say this enough ! THE BED, the pillows, the large man-sized towels - just what a weary traveller needs. I liked it, a lot, and was sorry I only stayed there one day. NEver got to use the restaurant, but the small coffee counter at the bottom was very nice. Overall, VERY favorable.

As a foreigner in this place..I use to treat myself in a nice five star hotel just once in a blue moon...as Im living in walking distant to Wyndham i thought its good to try it..WOW..as I first enter the hotel...the sweet scent really enticing and made me book for a night....it made me feel like a princess....just one thing I dont like...the annoying noise of vehicles hunking every now and then even in the middle of the night....

On a family trip to southern China, this hotel was selected for us by my cousin who lives in China. It has the service and the offerings of a large Western Hotel. The rooms are quite spacious and lovely. One caution, in rooms facing the street, one can hear traffic which can disturb your sleep in the middle of the night.

On business in Foshan for two days and stayed here. Very good rooms, comfortable beds and work space (although not as much as in some other hotels of the same class that I have stayed in in China). However, rooms come with desktop computer which is very useful. Staff helpful, and customer service good. Breakfast was varied and adequate. The Japanese restaurant was an absolute revelation - absolutely fantastic food at an unbelievable good price which included beer! There is also an outdoor pool - and as Guangzhou was bubbling away at 35 degrees while we were there, it was a very welcome sight for one of our number. The only downer is the area, it's not the best and is quite a way from Guangzhou airport and certainly a long way from any kind of sightseeing. However, it is a great hotel for those on business and I would happily recommend it.
