Даже не ожидала, что настолько понравится мне эта вилла. Я была готова к зелени, мху, скрипучим дверям)) Это не новая балийская вилла в Убуде, где практически 100% влажность круглый год. Но за этим я сюда и еду. Для меня здесь прекрасно всё: вилла, бассейн, зона отдыха на улице, прекрасная душевая и туалет на свежем воздухе, как я и хотела 😊 Ооочень понравилось 👍 Ну а персонал выше всех похвал! Все сотрудники замечательные 👍 Уезжала со слезами на глазах. Спасибо ещё раз за наш прекрасный отдых 🫶

It was so far out from Ubud it wasn’t near monkey forest due to the entry being so far away. It isn’t appropriate for a child and adults if needing a second room. Only good for adults as rooms are completely seperate.

Quiet location but very close to Ubud main centre by short walk through monkey forest .Staff were amazing, private pool was excellent to have and breakfast was very good.

Would not recommend you stay here if you don't like monkeys

Non posso che parlare bene di questo piccolo resort, che è un gioiello. La cosa più bella, sicuramente è la posizione: un'esperienza mistica e impagabile ai confini con la foresta delle scimmie di Ubud. La mattina facevamo colazione con delle scimmiette curiose che ci guardavano. Ci trovavamo praticamente in centro (c'è una piccola scorciatoia che passa per la foresta per raggiungere comodamente la strada principale), ma senza il trambusto e il traffico delle strade di Ubud. La notte sentivamo i rumori di un sacco di animali, ma ci siamo sempre sentiti al sicuro. La natura è una cosa meravigliosa. La seconda cosa che ricorderò per sempre: la gentilezza e i sorrisi dello staff. Posso dire con il cuore che mi sono sentita come a casa. Ogni mattina ci chiedevano cosa avremmo fatto, ci davano consigli sugli itinerari, e ci salutavano mentre partivamo in moto. Grazie alla ragazza della reception e al proprietario della struttura. La terza cosa: la villetta con piscina privata. Una struttura enorme per due persone, e ben pulita. Il bagno che è praticamente esterno è grande, e cosa che mi ha sorpresa piu di tutto: NON CI SONO ZANZARE!!! Mi spiegate il vostro segreto?!?! Siete in mezzo alla giungla, e non ho mai visto una zanzara! :) Alla mattina, ci svegliavamo con il profumo di incenso, grazie alle offerte che mettevano davanti all'ingresso di ogni casetta. Fiori ovunque! Un paradiso. Abbiamo trascorso 4 notti, che sono volate. Ne avrei fatta un'altra in più, solo per godere della tranquillità del posto. Grazie veramente, avete reso il nostro soggiorno a Ubud un paradiso.

Bei der Bewertung sollte man beachten, dass es sich um eine 3 Sterne Unterkunft handelt. Dafür war es sehr gut. Hatten Doppelzimmer. Ist mit Klimaanlage und Toilette/Dusche außen. Da kann es auch vorkommen, dass ein Affe neugierig durch die Gitter schaut, zur Freude bei den Kindern passiert. Zimmer sehr sauber. Pool vor dem Zimmer super zum Abkühlen und Ausruhen. Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

The location was perfect, right on the fence line of sacred monkey forest, in a laneway off the main road, but a two minute walk to shops and restaurants, and the hustle and bustle of Jl Monkey Forest, all while being tucked away in a quiet pocket. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks bybhh the pool(s), what’s not to love about this hidden gem?!

La struttura è carina e ben curata, in una posizione tranquilla e comoda per raggiungere il centro (passando per una scorciatoia subito dietro la Monkey Forest). Il personale è molto cortese e disponibile, ci hanno anche aiutato ad organizzare le nostre gite fuori Ubud. Buona la colazione, che può essere anche servita nel patio della villa (bisogna però ricordarsi di prenotarla il giorno prima).

La vicinanza alla Monkey Forest ha sicuramente il suo fascino, ma la mattina si può essere svegliati dalle scimmie. Inoltre se piove forte capita che una parte del bagno (che è aperto) si bagni appunto. A parte questo, il soggiorno ci è piaciuto molto.

The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean. The breakfast was tasty. We had our own pool with garden and common room. Shops and restaurants were 5-10 minutes away. We had a view of the Monkey Forest from our room. The monkeys would use our roof as a causeway.

Staff were wonderful!! Breakfast was great! Such a fantastic location! Short walk along monkey forest laneway to main street and short walk the other direction to lovely street full of cafes and massage and bars. Very quiet

The outside furniture needs cushions

Pictures really do not do this place justice. Wonderful place to stay, just outside the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. Room was large with an extremely comfortable bed. Shower room is indoor/outdoor which was a great experience. Staff so helpful and so friendly. Had a huge breakfast (cooked to order) which was amazing and really reasonable. Pool was “shared” with 3 other rooms but in fact I was the only person who used the pool whilst I was there so felt like a pool to myself. Location is just by the Monkey Forest and was easy to follow the path (in the daytime) into central Ubud. Good restaurants in opposite direction to central Ubud which I appreciated as a solo traveller (did not fancy walking along the path beside the Monkey Forest at night as it is dark). Definitely recommend Umaya Villa.

Monkeys were along the path into Central Ubud as it is their habitat but you will be fine if you walk with purpose and keep all belongings within bags.

We absolutely adored our stay at Umaya. The staff were so friendly and helpful. But really it was the location that made our stay SO special. We had already visited the Monkey Forest a month ago but felt called to stay closer to it this time. Little did we know the week long experience we were going to have with the monkeys! Adored their little pitter patter on the roof every morning, popping their head over the roof to check us out, laying on the pool lounge and looking up to them staring down at me from the tree above. Having to keep the doors closed at all times, because the big daddy monkey got in a couple times (one time running off and eating a whole tub of kids multivitamins!). Umaya is located at the end of a quiet street up a laneway running parallel to the forest. There were cheap massages steps away and gorgeous cafes and restaurants readily available. Cafe Lilu located right next to Umaya was our favourite, both for their delicious vegan options, but more so for the visiting monkeys at the windows as we ate. The best part was the 4 minute walk through the monkey forest to get to Monkey Forest Road and the busy main part of Ubud. We would walk there to grab a taxi instead of them having to go all the way around to get us from the villa. It felt like a unique experience of us being the caged animals, while the monkeys could visit and gawk at us instead. We will definitely be back and wish we could’ve stayed for longer than a week! Kids loved the pool and inflatables too! This was our second favourite stay on our 2 month holiday.

We have no complaints to be honest! The doors were all ridiculously hard to open (annoying when trying to keep them closed from the monkeys). One of the tv remotes didn’t work and the toilet seats kept breaking but honestly it all felt like it was a part of the hilarious experience of living alongside the monkeys. None of the little things took away from our stay as they won’t be what we remember and we’re so thankful we stayed here.

I have stayed several times and always appreciate Gusti and his staff. Bed is very comfortable and love the daily monkey visits. Food is made to order and always fresh.

Location was fantastic - total privacy in a jungle environment away from central Ubud. The villas are very 'rustic' and private - we loved the whole experience. Just a short stroll to a number of lovely cafe's and restaurants. Bali Bohemia was one of our favourites! The Manager Gusti couldn't do enough for us - and explained all about the Monkeys in the Monkey forest next to us, which really helped us to understand their behaviour. Suksma Gusti - you were a really lovely and kind host....and your breakfasts were fantastic!!!

This would have been a stunning resort in it's day - but it's fairly tired now....but that's its charm! Have to be honest and say the few Monkeys that came our way were a bit of a worry during their early morning wakeup routine playing in the trees and in the evening before sunset when they went back to their home in the forest. We got used to them fairly quickly, but were a bit wary relaxing by our private pool (especially if we had snacks....we discovered they can smell food and will come for it}!! But our villa was right next to the monkey forest - so hey - it was us that were in their territory!

Secluded location beside monkey forest. Good for those who seek peace and quiet. Foods are readily available all within walking distance. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Cater to special requests. Price for the room is great value in my opinion. Breakfast is included even though it was not listed.

Not for those seeking 'high class' hotel experience. Room is clean and spacious but with many gaps in-between (expected from a wooden hut). Expect bugs within your room (was suprise there is not much bugs/mosquito)

The space was quirky. Loved the look and feel of the place. Cute outside bathroom. The pool was great but the monkeys get a bit of getting use too.

The sheets and towels need to be replaced. It’s at the end of the street and there’s not much around.

Can’t think of any real negatives

The staff were so helpful and kind, the location was great. The villa was clean and we loved that it was so close to the monkey forest and you could hear and see the monkeys on the roof.

The staff did warn us to keep the doors shut at all times, though we left the screen door open and a monkey came in and took some biscuits we had lying around, which was our own fault. There is no real hot water and some general maintenance could be used.

El agua caliente se acaba rápido. Si tienes sueño ligero, los monos os pueden despertar de madrugada andando por el tejado. En nuestro caso no fue un problema.

The room was fab and the location amazing, near the monkey forest. Pool was cleaned every day and the staff were great too. Breakfast was included and the staff helped us get mopeds to hire. Great stay and good value for money.

This was my 3rd stay at Umaya Villas. It is in such a great location, walking distance to everything you need. Handy restaurants and plenty of salons for massages and facials just a short walk away. A quick shortcut walk through the monkey Forest which now has boom gates which has dramatically reduced the amount of scooters you share the track with...almost only pedestrian traffic now. The villas with private pool arey go to. Quiet and so relaxing. Gusti and his team are always so lovley and friendly and very accommodating. Nothing is ever a bother to them. Breakfast menu has expanded and has something for everyone. The monkeys are plenty but entertaining not a danger. I highly recommend Umaya Villas and I know I will be back for a fourth visit soon.

I like the location and the price.

It can use some small repairs. I know the weather causes lots of wear and tear. It kind of constant maintenance. I felt some retouch is needed.

Located right by the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and is just a short walk into Ubud center — perfect for exploring on foot. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with private pool. The lush, nature-filled setting give a peaceful, tropical vibe.

Being next to the forest means monkeys, lizards, ants and other critters around. We found this quite charming;and gave us a feel of glamping, but if you’re not into “jungle life”, it could be an intimidating experience. Villas aren’t quite sound-proof so expect all sorts of noises from everywhere. The neighbours, scooters on the nearby road, or the surrounding wildlife.

Located in my new favourite area of Ubud, much quieter that Monkey Forest Rd, but still has everything that you'd want close by, and only a few minutes walk to everything else by a short cut through the monkey forest. Amazing staff, always available for any kind of assistance, and they prepare a great breakfast.

Am Rand des Affenwaldes eher ruhig gelegen, Frühstück wurde gebracht, kleiner eigener Pool

Affen turnten ab frühen Morgen laut auf den Dächern, sie kamen auch zu uns an den Pool und auch auf die Terrasse um eine Tüte Kekse zu stehlen. Wir fühlten uns nicht so wohl und die Kinder hatten auch Angst, nachdem ein Affe zu uns an den Pool sprang und einen Schwimmflügel klaute.

Emplacement idéal, tout est facilement accessible à pied. Proche du centre de ubud (en même pas 4min en longeant la forêt des singes) le personnel et adorable, la literie et très confortable. J’ai tellement adoré qu’au final je reste deux nuits de plus, je recommande.

Die Lage neben dem Monkey Forrest und der Abkürzung zum Zentrum sind optimal,die Lage allgemein war hervorragend.Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Pool und Anlage waren sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt. Bei Problemen mit Ameisen z.Bsp. wurde uns sofort geholfen.

Als Nicht gefallen würde ich es nicht ausdrücken,aber an einzelnen Stellen sieht man das Alter der Bungalows und es müsste vereinzelt schon etwas gemacht werden.

La villa est sublime, nichée au milieu de la végétation et très intimiste. Tout l’équipement nécessaire, petit + pour la salle de bain en semi-extérieur. Petite visite des singes auprès de la piscine (attention à ne pas laisser d’effets personnels ou emballages à l’extérieur) mais le staff est présent pour les faire partir si besoin. Le quartier est calme par rapport à l’agitation d’Ubud, un plaisir.

Personale molto gentile, sempre disponibili e con il sorriso! Posizione molto comoda, in 3 min a piedi attraverso la stradina che passa accanto alla foreste delle scimmie si raggiunge il centro di Ubud. La colazione era buona e fatta sul momento. Non a buffet ma da un piccolo menù. Idem il pranzo ( 5€ in 2)

Forse avrebbe bisogno di una rimodernata , soprattutto i bagni. Si sente tutto quello che succede nella camera in parte.

Nous avons loué la villa avec piscine privative, c’était vraiment un super séjour !!! L’emplacement est génial (à côté de la forêt des singes, à proximité du centre d’Ubud à pied), le petit déjeuner est très bon et mention spéciale pour la gentillesse du personnel de cet établissement. Ils s’occupent même de la location du scooter.

Понравилось место, рядом с парком обезьян. Обезьяны прыгали по крыше и по двору, было интересно. И даже то что они это делали рано утром не слишком расстроило. Очень вежливый персонал, помогали во всем. Спасибо им огромное!

Был очень шумный кондиционер. К сожалению, спать/засыпать мешал. Сдвижные двери застревают и гремят, это особенно некомфортно когда идешь ночью в ванную. Тесновато вокруг бассейна.

Lovely friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. Lovely plunge pool and comfortable beds. However, the bathrooms were very basic. Monkeys in the garden so keep your doors closed. Short cut through path to the main road at the side of the monkey forest so no need to go to the forest so many monkeys on the path

If you’re looking for luxuary accomodation this is not the place for you. Bathrooms were a lot more basic than we expected

Υπέροχη τοποθεσία ακριβώς δίπλα από το πάρκο των μαϊμούδων αν προχωρήσετε στο στενάκι που είναι στο ξενοδοχείο θα συναντήσατε πάρα πολλές! Μέσα στο πράσινο πολλά λουλούδια, δέντρα, βλέπαμε τις μαϊμούδες στις στέγες! Δεν είναι ένα κλασσικό δωμάτιο ξενοδοχείου αν σας αρέσει πολυ να ακούτε τη φύση και να κάνετε μπάνιο Ειναι τέλειο! Καθαρό, περιποιημένο Και ευρύχωρο! Είχε πάντα Εμφιαλωμένο νερό , καφε και τσαι, και το πρωινό (Πολύ πλούσιο ) μπορείτε να Ζητήσετε να σας Το φέρουν στο δωμάτιο! Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό μας προσφέραν πορτοκαλάδα μόλις φτάσαμε και μας κανόνισαν και μηχανάκι το οποίο μας το παρεδωσαν στο ξενοδοχείο !

Δεν είναι ότι δε μας άρεσε Κάτι, απλά οι πόρτες δεν Κλείνουν καλά! Ολα τα αλλα υπεροχα!

L’emplacement, le calme, l’endroit est superbe et le personnel est à l’écoute et très accueillant

Nos alojamos en esta villa 3 noches con mi mujer y mis dos hijas pequeñas, tiene buena ubicación al estar pegado al bosque de los monos, está a unos 25min andando a paso de niños del mercado de ubud, al lado del hotel tenías una panadería, restaurante con pizzas y varios sitios de masaje, nos hicimos uno los 4 por 30€ en widi massage. El desayuno te lo traen a la villa, buenísimo, tienes más de 10 platos para elegir.

Había que arreglar un poco las rejas y puertas, a las mañanas vienen monos y tienes que tener todo cerrado para que no entren a comerte el desayuno. Solo saberlo.

Il meraviglioso e spazioso bungalov in tipico stile balinese, la posizione strategica per visitare il centro (a lato della Monkey forest!), il giardino profumatissimo e la piscina quasi privata dove ci ristoravamo dal caldo umido ogni notte, la ricca e curata colazione, la disponibilità e pulizia dello staff, grazie 💜

It is located in a quiet area but close enough to walk to the main street. Spacious rooms. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom and room. Lots of monkeys around to keep you entertained.

The open design of the bathroom meant noise from other guests travelled easily.

Villa con piscina immersa nella foresta delle scimmie. Addormentarsi con le melodie del tempio, un sogno! Bellissima, fresca e molto confortevole. Colazione servita anche in camera staff gentilissimo! Ci hanno organizzato anche il tour privato per i templi e sempre pronti a fornire dei consigli. Facendo una piccola stradina costeggiando la foresta delle scimmie é possibile arrivare al centro di Ubud in meno di 15 minuti a piedi.

Niente!! Ci si può svegliare con il rumore delle scimmie che corrono sui tetti delle ville. Molto suggestivo però 😉

Good location for somewhere quieter, off the beaten track. Right next door to the monkey sanctuary. Staff are lovely and helpful. A few good restaurants/cafes a walk away.

If someone is next door to you, you can hear every conversation, thin walls. As most places in Indonesia, it is an open bathroom. I think because of the rural location it meant there was a LOT of bugs - something inside may have helped prevent this. Had an ant infestations but it got cleared away when asked.

La piscine, la proximité du centre et de la Monkey forest avec les singes qui nous rendent visitent dans le jardin, le logement et notamment la salle de bain. Le personnel extrêmement gentil et serviable.

Le raccourci à scooter qui passe juste derrière le logement qui rend les lieux plutôt bruyant, le manque de lumière et de prises dans le logement.

Brilliant location right next to the Monkey Forest, a quick walk into town, and near fantastic restraunts and cafes. Lovely private garden with a pool. Comfortable bed, good aircon, and great indoor/outdoor bathroom. Complimentary breakfast too. The cheeky local monkeys would often swing by for a visit, but watch your snacks!

Onze gastheer heeft de vriendelijkste smile. De service was geweldig. Mooie plek om onze reis te beginnen. Het ontbijt was goed, alleen niet zoveel keuze.

De badkamer was echt heel oud. De douche spoot alle kanten op en was open zodat de hele badkamer nat was. Dit zouden ze op moeten knappen

Beautiful and cosy villas in a quieter part of Ubud. We had one private pool villa and two (of the 4) rooms around the shared pool. Air conditioning is great and the rooms look like they do in the photos. Very clean. Having read several reviews I would agree that this is a place for nature lovers, you will be sharing your bathroom with geckos and frogs and the monkeys regularly come across the roof on their way to and from the forest. If you want a sterile tiled hotel bathroom this is not the place for you, but for us it was a wonderful experience to feel like we were really in the jungle. At no point were the monkeys and issue to using the pools. The little track through the monkey forest to the main part of Ubud is busy with scooters but it takes less than 5 minutes to get through and the scooters are all very considerate of pedestrians, at no point did we feel unsafe. There are some lovely places to eat just round the corner from Umaya, Alam pizzas were great and Lake Leke was a little oasis of peace away from the hustle and bustle. Great WiFi coverage should you need it. Breakfast at Umaya was plentiful (we had the pancakes) and good value for money and the staff are warm and welcoming and super helpful. I would definitely book here to stay in Ubud again.

Stanza non ben isolata dall’esterno; al rientro di sera trovavamo escrementi di vari animali. Piscina privata poco pulita e mal tenuta. Strada per raggiungere il centro molto buia con passaggio di motorini (anche se pedonale)

房間設備太過老舊、晚上沒有熱水洗澡，對於亞洲人來說可能會覺得安全性低，較沒安全感，房間地上會有很多螞蟻，但我知道飯店方很難控制

الموقع والغرفه فقط اما الغرفه فيها سحالي كثيره والحمام مفتوح والقرود توصل للغرف يعني مو للنوم فقط زياره وتحط أغراضك وتروح حديقة القرود وترجع تاخذه

La villa es preciosa, estuvimos en la que tenía piscina privada y es una maravilla. Bajo petición te traen el desayuno a la habitación.

El baño está conectado con la piscina y el jardín...por el día no hay problema porque se ve todo pero cuando es de noche solo hay ranas en el baño y resulta incómodo. Además, hay un hueco entre la habitación y el baño debido a una puerta corredera, lo que hace que las ranas se pasen a la habitación. Había que tener cuidado de si te dejabas algo fuera de la habitación o la puerta abierta ya que te podía entrar un mono.

The location was really central to the main centre. The pool was clean and the rooms were spacious and well maintained.

It was quite a high price point for a shared pool area. Myself and two friends in separate rooms had no hot water during the afternoon and night.

We loved our stay, but keep in mind the private pool villas are not for everyone. It is not entirely private, with lots of gaps in the fences including the outdoor bathroom area. Keep in mind you are right next to the monkey forest so you may get monkey visitors, lots of lizards, frogs and ants in your room. The room was mostly clean though it gets dirty very fast. The staff were so lovely and breakfast was good. I love the area, it is close to nice cafes/ restaurants and there is a shortcut path that only takes 10 minutes to get to the sanctuary entry and many more restaurants etc. If you love wildlife and want to feel like you're living in the jungle this is the place for you.

So many gaps for lizards and ants to get into the bedroom. Some more privacy for the bathroom area would have been great. The latch to the private pool area is hard to keep closed, which can make it seem less private

Very charming small villa with unique atmosphere. The conception of the villas are nice, enough place for 4 person. The optional breakfast is served to the villa which is nice, staff is really helpful, laundry, cleaning, scooter - everything is handled by them upon request. Location is good, calm, quite close to center, right next to the monkey forest- which is both an advantage and a disadvantage at the same time. Monkeys are often there, which is fun for the kids but you have to be cautious, if you leave doors open you'll be stolen:) In the early morning monkeys often do some activities on the roof which leads to early wakeups if you are not a deep sleeper.

The small road which leads to the center from the villa is very narrow and busy by the scooters - you have to be aware of that. Monkey and pros and cons as mentioned. Some refurbishment probably should be done but nothing serious.

Le personnel, les singes mais attention, on se retrouve vite enfermé car ils ne sont pas commodes. Endroit insolite. La literie au top.

Pas d’insonorisation, mais pas du tout.
