Good value for price

Lovely hotel with lots of character. Our room was at the front on the first floor and was huge with enormous triple bay windows. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of hot water for our morning shower. Although there was no lift, staff were on hand to carry our suitcases upstairs which was much appreciated after a very long bus journey. Hotel was well located for the beach and local restaurants. We were made to feel very welcome and would have liked to have stayed longer than 4 nights.

It is family run so it’s always a good choice. Fantastic family made you feel at home. Even fed you if you requested. Fabulous.

Had to juggle with the hot water a bit. And the WiFi was a bit vague in my room.

On-site staff only had limited English. Walk up to 3rd floor was difficult at times.

チェックアウト後、洞窟ツアーに行きました。荷物を預かってくれただけでなく、ツアー後快くシャワーを使わせてくれました。おかげでその後の夜行列車も、気持ちよく過ごすことができました。

Personnel très aimable et serviable. Chambre à l'étage sans ascenseur. Chambre propre et fonctionnel. Beaucoup de vis-à-vis du coup les rideaux fermés toute la journée c'est pénible. Pas de petit déjeuner et pas facile d'en trouver à proximité. C'est bien pour une nuit pour dépanner.

Very big rooms, Nice and quiet location but still has a few restaurants (7th heaven dong hoi was good restaurant )nearby and a convenience store next to it. The hotel also organized our cave tours.

My room was pretty big, but the walls were full of humidity stains. The bathroom door did not have the handle from the bedroom, so it was not possible to close it, unless you were inside. Some ants tried to eat my snack: I guess that they found an easy access from the window. It's a real pity, because I believe that the hotel has a lot of potential and the tall ceilings and the big window give a general "antique charming look". I also must say, that it is a very affordable hotel (price). The staff was great and very kind with me!

There is no elevator

This hotel is a real gem, we stayed in spacious room with great view, very quiet and the staff was so nice and friendly. Didn't really want to leave.

Beautiful high ceiling, big room. Good food, extremely nice and helpful stuff and owners. We booked our trip to Paradise and other caves through them and were very happy. Special thanks to Mr. Si and his family🙏☀️🫶

The room is perfectly clean, actually the whole house is clean. The bed is comfortable and the room including bathroom are spacious. There is AC and a heater in the room. It's in a great location with shops and many coffee shops and restaurants just outside the door. The river promenade across the street invites for an evening stroll. The staff here is very friendly and kind.

The room had very thin walls and we actually had breakfast included but didn‘t get any! The shop downstairs usually plays quite loud music during the night!

The staff was very friendly (I was even invited for a street dinner) and helpful as well. The price is also relatively cheap. You can also book tours and do laundry here for a reasonable price.

The staff were very welcoming. Value for money! It’s in a great spot with the 4 best places to eat being a stone’s throw away. Si and his family were very polite and we even joined them for practice one night. Highly recommend

Good stay, room was easy but clean. Hot water was good but the amount of hot water was just for one person, normal speed. The breakfast was splendid, the host was perfect, very welcoming to speak to someone in English. Safe place to stay, restaurants around .

It was next to a really nice cafe called treehuggers. I had a private decent sized balcony. However, I do not believe all rooms have that.

The receptionist was basically a kid that did not speak English. He was friendly but it was challenging to communicate.

This property had an amazing view as well as a lovely rooftop where the five of us smoked and drank. The location was also splendid as it was a short walk from the main part of the city. The staff were so amazing and helped us book the Phong Nha cave tour which made our travel experience so much easier. They included a complimentary breakfast before the tour as well which was super nice! They also cleaned our rooms and had everything folded neatly for us when we got back from the tour. All up a very clean, heartfelt, and lovely stay. Would highly recommend for anyone that wants to stay in Dong Hoi or needs a place to stay to day trip to the Phong Nha national park. Thank you very much!

Great value for money! Staff are really nice and helpful with good advice on what to do in the area. 2 minutes walking to the foreshore area with a beautiful walk along the river. Easy walking distance to restaurants and cafes!

My room and bathroom were immaculately clean and spacious. The hotel is centrally located and has a gentle helpful receptionist. Very good value for money!

Good attitude towards customers. At first we got a room that was a bit dark and the water pipes smelled. The problem was solved quickly, we got a room with a great view in another building of the hotel instead. We really enjoyed our stay and the view!

The first room was a bit scary...

We had to do a check in early around 6 am duw to the fact we were getting there with the night train and had the cave tour booked after 1hour, for this reason the lady gave us an upgraded room we no change on the price, so we could have a shower and get readu for the tour!! The hotel was in a really good location, easy to go around, and the dark cave and paradise cave with kayak and Zipline was so much fun!

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - my room was huge! Very comfortable bed and plenty of windows to let in natural light. The location is great and the wi-fi worked a treat. I didn't realise I needed to flick the switch for hot water (so I had a couple of icy showers) as I hadn't stayed anywhere with that requirement yet - it would be helpful if they made note of this at check-in or had clearer information in the room to make it obvious - but they were super nice about this when I asked and helped immediately so this is not a complaint at all, just a note :) A wonderful stay - I would highly recommend

Got moved to their other hotel which was a nice small upgrade. Either way the room was comfortable and had a desk space. So you could stay here a couple nights or a week.

The fact that it was family run hotel and that Hana and Staff went out of their way to accommodate and help us out arranging tours and taxis. Room had lovely view over the river And breakfast Was good .Hotel close to beach and eating areas .

The staff did not speak any english. They were helpful though. We had an ant invasion in our room. When we woke up the anta have been all around our bags. This took good 30 minutes to deal with. Really unoleasent part of the stay.

We were upgraded to the nam long plus hotel so this review is for that hotel Everyone was very friendly and helpful, they arranged a taxi from the airport, gave advice and had a laundry service. The rooms were spotlessly clean with plenty of space and good Aircon. The location was good near to the river and the night walking street, but on a quiet street. No noise. A taxi/golf buggy to Nhat le beach cost 30 - 60k. Breakfast is extra but is cooked to order, we had banana pancakes which were lovely, but they also had Vietnamese food. We would definitely go back

Good location, walking distance with lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Room and bathroom were big and clean. Comfortable bed (in this room there was a big bed and a bunk bed). Friendly staff.

There was a small misunderstanding when I checked in (booked via booking), but it went well. The staff was very nice, but some didn’t speak English. The showerhead is good, but if you’re not holding it in your hand the whole bathroom/toilet will be wet.

Bernie from Canada Nam Long Hotel is a gerat place to stay. Good location,very clean rooms are comfortable great staff very helpful I will definitely stay there again
