Stay here!!!! Clean clean clean! Super quiet and serene! Staff was super friendly and welcoming as well. WELL worth it!!! I am super finicky, so trust me when I say stay here, you’ll love it.
Off season stay for a couple nights. We probably would have considered alternate plans due to the distance to the airport. Hotels.com listed airport transportation but that was not an option. A taxi ride was around $65ca. We were okay with this as our flight was an early flight anyhow. The room was nice, however it was warm in June making it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was very European, hard boiled egg, meat, cheese, vegs, yogurt and fruit. All served to you while sitting in the lodge. They recommended the only place close for dinner and mentioned the pizza. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the same. I imagine the lodge operates differently during peak season. For an establishment not near dinner options, it would benefit their guests to have either an option for dinner on-site or a kitchen to bring in food for the stay. Overall, the grounds are beautiful. The room was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
Beautiful property
Beautiful property service was excellent The room was amazing very nice everything we needed
The views from our cabin would have been great for northern lights if we were there in winter!! Unfortunately no hot tub, which we were looking forward to. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Better than expected a lovely oasis
This is an amazing place. Our cabin was beautiful and extremely comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well while we were there. This resort is in a remote location with a beautiful view. Parking is on site but not right by the cabin.
Very friendly, welcoming staff. The chalet was beautiful and modern
It was beautiful! Wish we could have stayed longer.
Wonderful stay other than the mosquitoes 😀
Cabins were beautifully appointed. Owners thought of everything. Very private.
Location was unique and the individual cabins offered a lot of privacy. Breakfast was delightful Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
The place was clean, however, after a very long 14 hour drive, all we really wanted to do is eat something and get some sleep. We arrived just before 9, so there was no where to eat unless we wanted to travel into whitehorse which was further up the highway. The bed was absolutely horrible, it was as hard as a rock. It was like sleeping on a floor. After a long drive a comfortable bed is a crucial piece of furniture that is strongly recommended. Me and my husband tossed and turned all night and was up by 5:00. Not impressed considering how much we paid.
The owner agreed it is and was very professional and polite and very helpful. The property is in the beautiful location and it is everything we expected and more
I don’t know where to start everything was just top notch. My husband and I have been traveling for years and Northern Lights is up there at the top. Toby and Lynn are phenomenal. So pleasant, so friendly, so accommodating!! Our chalet was SPOTLESS!!! Beds were very comfortable!! The have an onset chef that prepared us dinner, bison bolognese, and it was delicious. The meal was amazing. Gourmet!! Breakfast was very good. I can’t say enough good about this place. I first stopped by on our way to Alaska and Toby took the time to show me around. So we stayed on our way out. An amazing choice!!!!
Beautiful nature and views of the mountains. Friendly hosts. Very good breakfast. The room was wonderful.
Excellent, modern and clean.
It was a peaceful place. The chair next to the couch could have been sturdier for a large man, but the couch was comfortable.
Our stay did not disappoint at all. The resort and chalet were exactly as expected. Lynn and Tobias were wonderful hosts and were helpful throughout our stay. I definitely can recommend to book the slightly higher priced newer chalets with the large glass windows for Aurora viewing. Also worth mentioning is the $65/p.p. 3 course dinner at the resort which was delicious. The drink menu is very reasonably priced and Tobias masters the Aperol Spritz drink. If you are looking for comfort with amazing nature views in a small cosy resort setting, this should be your first choice in the Whitehorse area. We plan to be back in a few months.
The owner couple was very kind and helpful and so were staff members. It was a perfect place to observe northern lights with a well-designed garden. The hotel would be more comfortable if the internet were faster and safer and the hotel restaurant were open.
Toby and Lynn are great and know the area well. They are amazing. See you again soon.
We felt at home at the Northers Lights. The owners are a pleasure to hang with, very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the Aurora Glass Chalet and it not only offred great views but impeccable cleanliness and comfort!
It was a nice cabin in the woods. Well stocked with breakfast cereals and yogurt. Thank you
Wonderful place to stay
The cabin was spotless. The grounds were well maintained with a cut out walking trail on the edge of the woods. The owners greeted us with warmth. The breakfast was delicious and our waitress was very attentive. We definitely would stay there again.
We were just passing through Whitehorse and needed a place to stay for the night. We loved the perfect little cabin we stayed in and had an amazing breakfast before we left. We even saw a fox in the morning! We would love to spend more than 12 hours here next time we get to Whitehorse.
Wonderful hosts!! Beautiful property!! Relaxing setting!!
Everything was unique from the staff to the food, the log cabin, roomy cabin with all we needed and of course, the peace and quiet of the location with beautiful natural views out our windows. Do need a flat space to put bathroom toiletries on, that seems to be missing in every place we stayed in over 6 weeks of travel. This was the most relaxing and quiet place we stayed in our travels!
We drove Road Trip ‘this year.We are so like northern lights resort &Spa.Have a wonderful vacation hotel. We are so grateful to all of staff for their service and care. Thank you so much
Wonderful resort with excellent owners and staff! Very comfortable cabins, great views, wonderful food and super service! Highly recommend!
Simply amazing...
Beautiful place, with a wonderful staff and excellent massage. Wish we could have stayed longer, as the room had an amazing view with floor to ceiling windows. Breakfast was excellent, and Relaxing just being there
WOW! I can't say enough good about our stay. Everything was perfect and we were well taken care of. The cabin was spotless, the beds very comfortable and the view was gorgeous! We chose not to have dinner at the lodge but we are confident that judging by the excellent breakfast we had the dinner service would have been extraordinary! We highly recommend you stay and you will not be disappointed!
Amazing place run by amazing people!
Very nice accomdations. The owners were very friendly and I would highly recommend this resort. Also, the chef is outstanding so be sure to have dinner there.
Overall very good. Very nice location away from the city. Very home-like set up with exceptionally comfortable beds, pillows and set up. The cabins are built by the owners themselves. Just be sure to ask about the meals that they cook for you, and access to the sauna. I was checking out and they then expressed they cook lunch and dinner, which would have saved much time. Overall cannot complain. Wolfgang even typed up a welcome letter for when I arrived as it was late in the evening. Very hospitable and unique place.
Can’t say enough about my stay. This would be the second time staying and it gets better everything I stay. Highly recommend! Good German breakfast is nothing but the best. Friendly owners. They are great and greet you at the door. It’s like staying with family. The views are breathtaking and so quiet and serene.
So amazing. We stayed in one of the cabins with the big windows. It was really private and intimate. The cabin was so clean and modern and the view was great. Breakfast in the morning was good and the staff are extremely friendly. Will not be forgetting this place.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners and their staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and our meals were fantastic. The property is very nice- view is beautiful
The owners, Wolfgang and Renata Bublitz met us at check-in and knew us by first name. They built this place from the ground up 10 years ago. This place is their “baby”. The love it and the attention to detail they showed was a reflection of that. It is about 15 minutes south of Whitehorse about a mile off the Alaska Highway. It consists of a main lodge and about a dozen cute little private cabins. They have an exercise room and a 10 person hot tub as well. We had dinner and breakfast on the property. The waitress, Katie, and her husband (the chef) had their wedding there when they got married. The food was great, room was very very nice. No need to go to town for anything. We travel to and from Alaska yearly. We will plan our trip around staying here in the future. Very happy with our relaxing stay at the Northern Lights Resort and Spa. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I WANT TO LIVE IN THIS CABIN FOREVER. it was everything anyone could want just wish it wasn't raining so i could have used the hot tub. :)
This property is so beautiful. The owners are lovely, and the on site restaurant serves 5 star dinners. We are going back for another night, and we highly recommend this property. I would love to come back in the winter for aurora viewing!
It is a beautiful place, great hosts, could be a great weekend getaway. Our problem was we were only there for one day and it was raining the whole time. I also was uncomfortable on the bed, a queen sized bed but very low to the ground and flimsy.
It was all good except for no dinner during the summer and conventional sheets and blanket on the bed would have been preferred
What are wonderful property. We ended our honeymoon with a stop at this property run by the owners. Relaxed in the outdoor hot tub and enjoyed warming up in our cabin to the fireplace. This resort you can stay a day or mutiple with cuisinettes in each cabin. Very modern and extremely comfortable. They are adding new cabins to view northern lights and I would look forward to the new style cabins.
View and room were amazing.
Very nice couple running the establishment. Safe, clean and quiet. Walked around the large property for an evening stroll, muchly enjoyed!
It was an Oasis in the wilderness. The couple who own it were gracious and friendly. Definitely a must stop if in Whitehorse YT
Very quiet which was needed
Walking trails, the very peacefulness. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
