Great location and the family room was plenty big enough and very clean.

It was hard to get the water very hot, we had to run the hot tap for a long time before we could run a bath or shower.

There was no fan in the bathroom. The door to the bathroom was difficult to close without slamming shut. No sea view from the room

No modern even not classic.. some how everything repaired and running. Structure and wood repairs.. rusting painted. Overall renovation needed. Price u pay for amenities are not valued.

The room was spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect location, with easy access to the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

2 staff members stood out throughout our stay (Anan & Luigi) they were very courteous and helpful and managed the breakfast area very well on the morning staff called in sick.

The state of the breakfast area and the and lack of catering skills by some of the staff members. None replenishment of fruit juice at 9am in the morning, with tables not cleaned after use by other diners.

The standout feature of this hotel was the exceptional service from a few members of the team. Luigi and Anand were truly outstanding — the place would not be the same without them.

I’ve never encountered a hotel with so many dogs, including in the breakfast restaurant. Dog hair covered the chairs. The rooms were average at best, and housekeeping doesn’t clean during your stay — they only swap towels if you leave them outside your door. The curtains were filthy, and I didn’t even want to touch them. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Very stuffy rooms- no aircon and tiny windows. Fans provided but they couldn’t be plugged in beside bed due to incompatible sockets. Breakfast items had run out well before the end of the breakfast time. No saucers. Wobbly table.

Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful. Clean and well kept room . We had a lovely stay here and were lucky to have great weather too.

The room was large and we had a nice view of the sea and hills. The bed was comphy and having 2 fans was great as it was really hot during our stay. The evening meals were lovely and the bar staff so friendly and chatty.

The breakfasts were not so good, and there was no evening meal on the Sunday which was very disappointing as our daughter had driven over to join us and we had to go elsewhere to eat. Nobody told us the dining room was closed, just a small sign at reception when we went to see why'

Anyone with dietary requirements/allergies should avoid eating here. We came here for afternoon tea after having checked that they could accommodate various dietary requirements and allergies. We had a mix of vegan, celiac, dairy free and other allergies. The standard afternoon tea included multiple plates of different sandwiches per table. 3 gluten free people were given one plate of gluten free ham sandwiches to share. We were told repeatedly that the vegan afternoon tea would be brought out shortly and eventually they said there was no vegan option. When we told staff that the venue had confirmed in advance that they would be providing vegan food, they came back with a side salad as the sole vegan meal. Staff were really uninformed about the allergens in the food generally. We were told the desserts were gluten free and dairy free. We were then told they were actually vegan but not gluten free (after a person with celiac had eaten one) and then told by a third member of staff that they were vegan and gluten free. There were no vegan, dairy free or gluten free scones. Really disappointing, expected better for £19 each than a side salad, a coffee and a dessert that 2 members of staff said wasn't vegan.

The hotel needs an upgrade, it is old and needs urgent renovation.

Lovely hotel but sadly lacking on the outside. It does look run down in places. The sea air is responsible for some of it but with a bit of tlc it could be better. Inside is much nicer. Staff very helpful. Bar area good, only quibble are the toilets in the foyer area they could do with refurbishing. Rooms nice, clean & more than adequate It was a hot few days & 2 fans were provided. No air-conditioning but it was fine. Hotel just across the road from beach. We would stay there again.

Location is great, it is located next to Aberavon beach, lovely and great. Cross the road, walk 3 minutes to the beach, 6 minutes to splash zone, 8 minutes to children playground, great place for family when your children is small. The buildings and facilities are age, very old, not modern but everything works fine. I stayed in suites, it is 2 room layout with 1 bathroom, a lot of space for family of 5. The room is clean, bathroom is clean. The suite room price is cheap compared to 2 standard room. Food is fine, I have breakfast and dinner in the hotel, drink in the lounge, good quaility. I can hear everything from next room in midnight.

Ich finde, dass eine 7,4 (gut) für dieses Hotel unterbewertet ist. Einzig die Fassade vom Hotel ist nicht die Beste, hatte aber auch seinen Charme. Im Hotel selbst war alles sauber und ordentlich. Die Möbel bzw. Einrichtung ist nicht die Modernste, aber alles praktisch und funktional. Dafür habe ich aber auch keine 5-Sterne gebucht. Der Parkplatz ist videoüberwacht, der Empfangsmitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war groß genug für drei Personen und das Frühstücksbüffet hatte für alle etwas zu bieten. Ein schöner großer Bereich, klimatisiert, sauber, und es wurde immer sofort alles aufgefüllt. Eine sehr freundliche Dame am Frühstücksbüffet, die immer auf das Wohl der Gäste bedacht war. Die Lage vom Hotel ist super. Wir hatten Blick aufs Meer.

Had to pay in pay and display in the empty car park until 3pm when could check in as wpuldnt allow me to enter my car reg until then dispite knowing i had a room booked. Key card kept not working over the 1 night i stayed and when asking reception to fix had to stand around for 10 and 15 mins each time ringing the bell with no one coming to the desk. Room QR code lists iron and ironing board available from reception. When asked told they dont have any. Toilet flush worked half the times used. Fried Breakfast cold. Doors open in the restaurant due to the heat but no food coverings with wasps and flys in the room. Was included in my booking but not anywhere worth the additional price.

Hotel looked shabby from the outside which is very off putting.. Breakfast disappointing when we arrived at 9.10 hardly anything left no teabags, no sausage, no tomotes, no pastries, no fresh fruit left no sauces.

but it wasn't very clean, a lot of things were broken, carpets with stains, chairs with stains, shower didn't work well, it was difficult to adjust. it wasn't safe because it was visible from the street. everyone can enter and it's not controlled, I just wouldn't go a second time.

The hotel looked rather run down from the outside, however its in a great location on the lovely Aberavan beach . The room was OK, bed comfortable, we had a sea view which was nice. We had breakfast, sadly the lady in charge of breakfast was clearly angry with management. Was complaining loudly and at length about her job, banging around which was rather off-putting, also breakfast wasn't very hot. Reception didn't have any bus information and vaguely sent us to a bus stop which was the wrong one for where we wanted to go, so a bit frustrating.

The size of the rooms, the comfortable beds, the staff was amazing.

We were situated on the 3rd floor, we stayed when the weather temperature was 27° The room was uncomfortable as of the heat, there were standard fans provided but they only blow hot air around so unless ypu was right in front of a fan the heat was unbearable to sleep at night. There were no fridges in the room so within 1 hour of buying bottle water or any drink it heated up quite quickly so through the night we had to drink warm water to stay hydrated.

It’s the most awful looking building from the outside but inside it’s absolutely beautiful. Clean and lovely staff. Breakfast was great. Beds were comfortable. 2nd time we have stayed.

RATS! We sat in garden at front of restaurant and saw big brown rats running through the grass back and forth! Bait boxes looked very old. Building very tired and delapadated. Tables and chairs dirty. Chicken Thai rice was rubbery! Very disappointing! One pub along the front which was the only choice and no garden only sit on a car park. No restaurants or beach bars here either

Room was very hot, stains on the carpet in the room, no aircon it was very hot in the room no air coming in as the window had a safety lead attached and we couldn’t handle it and cut short our stay

We wanted a stopover between Sheffield and Haverfordwest so chose this hotel for a night. It had been a very hot day about 30C, so overnight it was going to be hot too. The staff kindly provided us with a fan and our bedroom window had been left opened, so we coped. Breakfast buffet was adequate and we had a sea view whilst eating it, which was nice. We have an electric car and the manager was very helpful directing us to the nearby MacDonalds, which had mid range EV chargers.

no air conditioning and our window could only open slightly which was not enough for a hot day. My wife was bit unwell so we asked for a slightly late check out (12.00). But according to the guy in the reception they need 24 hours notice for any late check outs otherwise it is strictly 11.00am, have never heard this from any hotels. I am not sure how guests could face an unexpected situation.

We are very pleased when we checked in. The manager Sheldon greeted us very well and been very professional. The stay was very comfortable and all the members of staff are very friendly. Definitely I will come back to stay again.

More if a selection non menu needed. 1 hour wait for hot food due to staffing levels but not informed before hand. Breakfast staff moaned alot. Not stocked up came down was no orange juice or breakfast tea or hot water. When those supplied there was no milk. Didn't rush to supply these. Could have brought a trolley with everything on instead walked back and forth took a long time.

Was lucky enough to receive the gift of afternoon tea here for my birthday. Myself and my friend thoroughly enjoyed the delicious fresh afternoon tea, nice choice of sandwiches and the cakes were also fresh and different, obviously there was the huge scone with clotted cream and jam..thank goodness they provide boxes to take home what you can't eat. Staff were really lovely, very attentive...we were very impressed with the decor of the hotel and myself and my friend will definitely return for a girly lunch.

Room smelt quite unpleasant. Hotel was hosting a noisy wedding reception with full on disco. It looks like they have other musical events too. The noise was quite load and I was trying to sleep as we had an early start. It also seemed understaffed to cope with the wedding so restaurant service was pretty slow.

We had a late book in and found surrounding places to eat were either closed or had stopped serving food. As had the hotel restaurant. Staff went out of their way to offer us sandwiches and coffee, which was gratefully recieved. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and undergoing refurbishment, which was orderly and didn't interfere in any way with our stay. The breakfast was plentiful, both full English and continental.The pool & spa area is not available, however we were offered vouchers for the public pool situated next door. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly return. Also worth noting that a veterans discount is available if stay is booked direct with the hotel or Best Western.

The facade could do with jet washing, I'm sure this is on their list of improvements,, The saying "don't judge a book by its cover" springs to mind

Zamówiłam łóżeczko dla dziecka nie było przygotowane po zwróceniu uwagi pan z recepcji przyniósł łóżeczko i dwie poduszki. Jak zapytałam o prześcieradło czy kołderkę powiedzial nie ma. Sofa niewygodna zapadała sie a w pokoju duszno jeden wentylator. Okna nie mozna było otworzyć bo wieczorem pod hotelem ktoś sie rozbił carawanem i muzyka głośna.
