Staff were brilliant and helpful, the free breakfast voucher we used the breakfast was very good.

Food finished a tad early at 6 which didn’t quite suit as we were working long hours,

Would have been nice if they had breakfast on situ but it’s nice of them to offer a voucher that can be used in a nearby hotel

The room was comfortable and clean. The bar area was nice.

The shower wasnt great and took a while to get warm. You have to go to Blancos down thr road for breakfast.

The Grand Hotel is at an excellent location opposite the railway station. The room was large and comfortable, the bar was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

Staff pleasent and tried to be helpful but overall not great.

Car park full so unable to park. Second option difficult to find and then had a barrier to prevent access which wasnt near the hotel and looked like a scrapyard rather than a car park. I was not going to leave my car in there vene if I could get in. Had to pay for parking which only went up to midmight so had to get up in the morning to go and pay again. Breakfast supplied...by another hotel 20 mins away! Bathroom was dirty, door didnt fit properly, noisy aircon outside room which went off every 2 minutes. I would say avoid this location.

Ok / in die Jahre gekommenes altes Hotel, aber mit Charme und sympathisch geführt.

Fenster liessen sich praktisch nicht öffnen. Ganz schlecht war das Frühstück im „ Partner- Hotel“ Blanco‘s- hierfür erhielten wir Gutschein, da es im Grand Hotel kein Frühstück gab. Das Essen dort war wirklich schlecht- alles alle schon zum 9h, ausser weiterhin fettiger bacon und Würste. Kein jogurth/ nur Wassermelone/ auch auf Nachfrage nichts weiter.

The room was a little tired but had everything I needed. Didn’t like having to go to another hotel for breakfast but it was an excellent breakfast when I got there. There was a loud party going on mid afternoon when I arrived but thankfully it had stopped at bedtime.

Good size room, comfy bed, clean, plenty of tea and coffee with kettle. Nice shower.

Window blind had fallen down and just left on the window sill. So no curtain or blind at window. No breakfast chef, so I was given a breakfast voucher for Blancos Hotel, but not informed of the distance I had to walk without being given directions how to get there, it took me nearly 30 minutes including going under two underpasses, I nearly gave up and asked 4 different people on the way for directions to get there. Port Talbot isn’t the most desirable place to walk about on your own.

Only stayed in night, unfortunately food not available but it was clean , comfortable and air conditioning.

No food service for evening meal. There were some locals in bar who were a little bit boisterous in the afternoon.

Whilst the building internally and externally would not really be described as anything other than words like ' tired' or ' shabby ' what do you expect for less than £ 65 !!!! What you do get is fantastic , friendly, helpful service from every person I met . Better than the majority of places I have stayed at twice the money.

Dated and bathroom was a bit rough. Carpark looks like a place you wouldn't want to leave you car in for 30mins let alone a whole night.

The staff were very attentive, friendly and went over and beyond to make our stay special. We will definitely be booking again. I highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately I was a allocated room (103) where the blind was tied up and could not be lowered. I was then offered another room where the binds were down and could not be raised. When I said it was not acceptable , the receptionist said the guests the night before had not complained. I had to accept the room. I asked a manager the next day to look and the rooms but she was too busy. I wrote afterwards and they apologized for no other room being available and confirmed that both rooms were immediately taken out of service, and the blinds have been repaired. However I have not been offered any compensation.

The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It had everything required for a single traveller who is coming into town for work.

The wifi wasn't strong in my room and I had meetings to run while I was travelling and I needed to use a nearby cafe.

I've stayed here many times and I must say the staff and management are incredibly professional,polite and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are allways clean and presentable .With the addition of the Legends bar next door this is my go to when ever I'm in the area..

This is the second time we stay there. The hotel is very comfortable, excellent location. But for us the best are the staff. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful.

Parking was very poor with the car parks stored with cars and vans which were not belonging to any guests and were not even roadworthy. Therefore guests had to use a shopping car park or park in streets resulting in having to walk in the rain to the hotel.

Location to the train station was handy. Room was very clean and comfortable for the price. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The inside of the building has been beautifully refurbished. I was happy to stay here whilst they continue the outside work on the hotel.

No big deal but it would have been great if there was some kind of room service for a light meal like a bowl of soup or toasted sandwich. Hopefully this becomes an option once the refurbishment is completed.

Very outdated, ordered a twin room was given a double, I left the hotel at 7am for a cigarette and was locked out till 8am when I called my sister to let me back in

Beautiful old hotel. Very convenient for train station and town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room was quite cold upon arrival and took hours to warm up after air conditioning was switched on.

Was meant to be staying at the Port Talbot Grand but was moved without any real explanation why. Lock didn't work on the door. Room wasn't ready for me when I arrived at 3.30 pm. Toaster wasn't working at breakfast. You're giving a hard-boiled egg!

Outer facilities are a bit outdated. Lack of restaurant and meals. This should be highlighted in their adverts and promotions so guests are aware before booking. Check out time should be extended to 12pm

The lady on the front desk was beyond kind and helpful. The room was cleaned for us quickly (an oversight when booking). Hotel was close to the train station and cheap considering there's a festival happening nearby!

I messaged to enquire about early check in and received a reply that check in was from 11am. We arrived at 12 and they were not expecting us. (Check in is from 3pm) Despite the information recieved being wrong, the hotel prioritised us and had our room cleaned very quickly. I will also add, the walls are very thin so you can hear downstairs and your neighbours! Amd we weren't sure what was included with our stay- breakfast? Etc. Couldn't find hairdryer also.

Second stay at the Grand, first stay was during renovations so great to see it finish. Place is beautiful inside, so cosy and handy to my sons house. Booked again for May 26
