Room was small so there wasn't a bedside table.A mirror above the desk would be great so that we can sit to do make up etc maybe a couple of tumbler glasses for water in the room would be good..

Fantastic central location but once inside was a lovely escape from the hurly burly. Room quite minimalist but had everything we needed. Staff v friendly and helpful, bar area relaxing and with well-priced cocktails 😃

Location and entrance is very urban chilled, very well laid out with seating around reception and bar area.

Great central location. easy walking distance of the train station and centre of Newcastle shops and restaurants. Lovely reception/bar area. Very clean. Shower was large and powerful. Excellent breakfast.

Expensive! (It was Great North Run weekend so suspect prices were hiked). Room was on the small side but contained wverything i needed. No main room light, just lamp in the corner and reading light next to the bed.

Location

For Great North Run weekend I was charged £600 for 3 night stay without breakfast. Breakdown shows £386 for Saturday night for a hotel worth at best £100 per night. Robbery

The staff were very kind and helpful and the location was perfect

The room was incredibly hot, and the air cooler didn’t work sufficiently. It merely blew hot air around the room

Very centrally located. Staff were so lovely and helpful . Very kindly managed to get in this weary traveller checked in early . Accommodation was fab , comfortable and clean.

Rates for stay seemed to be several times the regular rate possibly due to the Great North Run. £346 for a night was a lot of money

Easy to get to from train station. Not far to walk to shops and restaurants. Bar and seating areas really nice, shower was brilliant nice and powerful. Staff very good welcoming and helpful.

Was very noisy outside and could hear glass bins been emptied several times in early hours think my room was above the bins, even though window was closed. The pillows are very odd and uncomfortable not normal pillows, very few tv channels, the cupboard for making tea, coffee isn’t great if someone in that side of the bed or if you not tall due to height it is at and also no proper cups just plastic reusable hot drink cups without the lids and stained

extremely small room, mattress split in two, zero amenities: no luggage holder, no table, no cabinets, nothing. Carpeted, which is always a drag. And the place was noisy even though they confirmed I got one of the most quiet rooms: the partying in the square is until 4am, at which time the sea gulls take over...

The location is perfect, right in the town center. Bar and lounge area are really nice.

Paid slightly more for the "city view" room so assumed it would be a nice room. It turned out to be a bit tired and old and tatty, heavily stained carpet etc. Needs a bit of TLC.

Beautiful hotel, rooms aren’t very big and we got the superior room but good value for money. Great location and friendly staff. Very clean. Only thing I do t like is no fridge in the room but you can get an ice bucket from the bar. Can be noisy with people passing buy with it being right in the centre but definitely be back soon.

The hotel is very modern & elegant. The outdoor terrace area beside reception is fantastic.

We arrived as a group at around 1.45pm which is before check in & no rooms were available which was fine so we said we would sit in the outdoor terrace and wait. Reception staffs attitude towards us felt very frosty from the minute we walked in for some reason. After around 30 minutes i noticed people being checked in so I went over to reception to ask if we could also check in & was told in a rude tone that no more rooms were available just yet. I found it rather strange that they managed to check in a group who had just walked in when they knew we were waiting & had asked first. When we were actually able to check-in in there was a different member of staff on reception, a young man (possibly Irish or geordie) & he couldn’t have been any nicer.

Minor and not critical remarks: Room dimensions (very small desk and no place for a lagguage holder) Nice and healty breakfast but in England I expect also the british breakfast (scarabled eggs, bacon, etc).

The hotel was in a great location, really central for all the places we wanted to go and close to the metro station for going anywhere else. The room was a nice size and really clean with a great bathroom - even air con which was a major bonus in the summer heat! The reception staff were friendly and helpful, they also kept our suitcases for us on our final day after we had checked out which was very much appreciated. Overall I would highly recommend, and would stay with motel one again.

Die Ausstattung der Zimmer war zweckmässig. Die Lage des Hotels ist für Ausflüge in die Innenstadt sehr gut gelegen. Das Frühstuck war gut dargeboten und in ausreichender Menge verfügbar. Die Zeit zum Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend.

Die Parkmöglichkeiten waren sehr dürftig. Ein nahegelegenes Parkhaus (Deanstreet) ist nicht zu empfehlen da es am Wochenende Sonnteg bis Monteg 7.00 geschlossen ist.

Unfortunately we had water leaking through our bedroom ceiling all night and it absolutely soaked all my clothes that were hanging up. Maintenance were apologetic when they came out but when we went to check out no apology from reception or offer to help with clothes i asked if they could dry them and they said would hang up next to the air con !! While we realise it was unfortunate would have expected a bit more concern from the hotel.

Very warm room with a very small window. The carpets in the room were quite stained. It's a budget hotel so I suppose you get what you pay for, which is still pretty good. Fine for a couple of nights.

The Motel was very clean, it has modern stylish decor, it has a bar, excellent location.

The room was very hot despite the air con/cooling system being on.

It was exceptionally hot when we stayed and there was no air in the room so I couldn't sleep at all. Air conditioning in the rooms would be beneficial or at the least a fan as what was in the room was next to useless.

Great location, lobby area and seating bit is very nice and good to relax in !

Central location, an easy walk from the rail station.

Compact room, 6 coat hangers with a rail, no drawers, if you’re staying for more than a day or two there’s very little storage for clothes. Very warm room, A/C is good but too noisy to leave on, can’t keep window open due to noise outside.

It was great, friendly staff and comfortable. When I locked myself out of my room completely in the nod thinking I was entering the bathroom, the staff were professional as I shouted for a towel from the lift to the reception to cover my nether regions, and was then kindly escorted back to my room.
