Clean comfy room

Bed not made up on arrival Noisy night club downstairs going on very late

Great location for arriving by train and car pickup / drop-off. Also good for city centre and river walks. Included breakfast was good and breakfast staff helpful.

Strange combined, semi-transparent bathroom / wardrobe door. Bathroom was slightly small. Aircon not easy to use. Lifts were a bit quirky. Not much in-room tea / milk when we arrived.

Very comfortable room. Clean and had everything you needed. The shower was excellent. The hotel was in very close proximity to the railway station and central Newcastle. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lifts it's the only time I've experienced such terrible lifts 3 available. 1 was staff only the other 2 we timed each time we used them the shortish time was 11 minutes waiting. Not good

We arrivrd at 2 am. I had advisrd late arrival. Was advised only room left was accessible. Bathroom.was dreary. Hot water tepid. Next day the toilet broke. We moved rooms. Staff were apologetic and helpful and gave £20 voucher for bar but stay was depressong.

The location of this hotel couldn’t have been better. We was able to access everything we needed within walking distance. The breakfast was outstanding with so much choice for everyone.

Loved the location. Very easy to get to from the train station.

Was a bit tired and cheaply renovated in old lady style. Room had a funny smell, not really bad, but not really nice either. Breakfast was ok with good range. Gym was small, good enough to get adapt your workout if you don’t lift heavy.

Booked 3 rooms, tried to get an early check in to one of the rooms- to get changed for graduation this wasn’t possible (we were told that early check in may not be possible)

Noisy outside on one night.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful, check in was super fast, the room and the rest of the hotel was very clean, everything was as promised and breakfast was lovely.

The room was cold when we first arrived. It did take quite a while to warm up. I know September can be hard to guess with weather and everyone likes temps different. It wouldn't put me off staying again the hotel was great.

The room was very minimalist. Poor coffee/tea offering; no biscuits no bottled water; hairdryer was pathetic. For some reason we had a dispenser for hand wash and hair conditioner at the wash basin Breakfast was average at best. No choice of eggs, tinned tomatoes and “ orange nectar” in place of proper orange juice

All room rates include a breakfast which is selected in an area the size of an average household kitchen. This is not nearly large enough. It is compounded by serving times of 6am -10am which means, certainly at weekends, that it is overfilled towards the end of the opening times. Trays of food and cutlery were not being refreshed quickly and the hot food serving area had several spills which has not been cleaned up. Overall a disappointing experience. I was advised that points would be added to my account to compensate for our experience but this has not happened.

Location was good, stayed there before and breakfast was excellent.

The mattress on the bed was ancient. Every move the springs creaked and more. Worst nights sleep in a hotel EVER

Location was great for what we had planned. enjoyed the breakfast.

Check in Staff on Saturday friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and cool. The toilet ran all night until we worked out by pressing the flush button a couple of times fast it stopped it. (But quirs frustrating non the less).

The beds were comfortable but very noisy when anyone moved through the night. Also sounds from the room above flushing the toilet (we assume) were very loud throughout the night

the bed was awful every time I turned over the springs would stick in , the sink was dirty there was nowhere near enough tea, coffee, sugar and milk as we both could only have half a cup each when we woke.

Overall it was exactly what we expected there was just one issue with the towels in the bathroom, one was very smelly and one was dirty where it looked liked someone had wiped there mouth with lipstick on

The 3 night stay we got woken up at 5am in the morning to banging in the yard, sounds like the bins were getting changed and bottles etc, also on the website it said we got a discount in the car park like the last time we stayed, was told to ask at reception on way out, which I did and he told me it automatically went off, which it didn’t so I was not happy about that either

We checked in and got our room number. 311. I opened the door and the room was already taken. We got it changed to 307. Lovely room, just the bed was uncomfortable and noisy.

Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare very crowded at 9-20 long ques as food ran out and had to be refilled. No parties or croissants left by 9-45 and breakfast is on till 10. It was not an enjoyable experience

Opposite Newcastle central station, its comfortable and close to all the bars and restaurants Newcastle has in abundance. Fantastic city with amazing architecture and culture its a a perfect stay.

The filthy room

Location is great right in the town center and accross the main train station. Breakfast was good and rooms clean.

The bed’s matress was uncomfortable and got my back aching both nights. The bathroom was missing a toilett brush, windows cannot be opened and the air conditioning system is rather noisy.

Ive never ever had to sleep somewhere so uncomfortable. The bed looked like a bed but I would be shaming any other bed if I called it that. It was like sleeping on a concrete block.

I was surprised to see wooden stirrers in the room instead of tspoons. I was unable to put my coffee and powder milk into my mug correctly. I was not expecting this from the Hilton

Brilliant location within walking distance of the station.

The breakfast didn’t match my expectations- the hash browns weren’t crispy enough, the cappuccino wasn’t great, the bacon was dry, and it would have been nice to have had a choice of egg although I did like the scrambled egg.

Extremely comfortable room with thoughtful extra touches. Excellent breakfast with decent coffee and visibly happy staff. Very capable check in staff, who listened to my request for a quiet room.

I liked everything but if I was giving a bit off advice I'd say have two types of bacon at breakfast they only serve crispy bacon a softer one would be nice as I've throat problems so wouldn't risk the hard bacon . Also breakfast area very hot everything perfectly fine lift was playing up but did me no harm walking the stairs

The fact that when I got there my second bed wasn’t made and when I brought this to the attention of the staff they gave me the bedding to make it myself not what you expect when booking a hotel

Very convenient location for overnight stop. Breakfast was good.

The signage at street level is inadequate (doorway is very inconspicuous). There seems to be no security; anyone could walk in from the street and access all floors!

Staff were very friendly and welcoming (in particular Harry) and accommodated our request for early check-in and luggage storage on check-out. Breakfast was included in the price and was good value for money.

The beds were too firm for my liking (but perhaps that's just personal taste), and they creaked loudly with every movement. The bathroom door did not close properly and could not be locked, but as we were mother and daughter, this did not overly bother us. We could not adjust the temperature/air flow in the room despite trying to operate the controls, and it was a little stuffy.

It was a shame there was only one lift/elevator working as this was quite inconvenient.

We got this room for a great price and the hotel is in a prime location right opposite the train station. Staff were friendly and welcoming, facilities were good with an iron and iron board and tea/coffee making facilities and fresh towels. Breakfast was great and check the it with quick and easy and was a pleasant stay!

Very minor things that need improving are the lifts are very small and you wait ages for them which is annoying and for me the pillows were too hard, I like a soft pillow but that’s me being picky!

In an excellent position, handy for everything. We requested a room on the top floor, because the area was quite noisy, and this worked well. Good shower.

There seemed to be a shortage of tables at breakfast on the Sunday morning.

There was a sewage smell when you entered the hotel downstairs from the street The bed we had was extremely uncomfortable, we could feel every spring and it creaked whenever we moved .

The hotel is just of the station, and in the city centre. This is a prime location and the hotel can fit both commuters in need for a place to rest as well visitors who have come for a few days ij the city.

The room floor was not cleaned well. The breakfast was more limited in comparison to other hotels of the same chain, and the two lifts were not enough to carry all the passengers resulting in long waiting

There was a smell from the drain in the shower. Could haveve had a better selection of drinks at the bar.

Staff were excellent. Arrived early hoping that we could store our case but were actually given our room! Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent.

Unfortunately, the bed was very uncomfortable and “squeaked and creaked” a lot. However, the actual bedding was very nice.

The hotel was a close proximity to the train station and easy to navigate around the city. The room was excellent - clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were awesome, the breakfast buffet perfect for starting our busy days.

Lovely staff! Great, very central, location. Very quiet despite room being opposite Newcastle train station.

A few snagging issues with room but these were put right very quickly. Very hard mattress. Got used to it, but as a middle aged traveller, with a few typical age related aches and pains, woke a little more frequently than usual due to discomfort. Really good breakfast but sausages were a little too oven cooked and dry.

The room basic with signs of wear broken handles marks on walls etc the windows do not open and the air con didn’t work
