The hotel was really clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful, modern hotel too in a good location

Excellent staff at reception. The guy at reception on my check in deserves a raise. Incredibly helpful and genuinely considerate, he made my stay better. Changed my room to a quiet one. Got my signed-in Marriott app. Exceptional mannerism.

Spacious room with required in-room facilities

Floor noise (wooden floor) including noise from the next rooms was disturbing through out night. Bathroom (from the next/top floor) shower/water discharging noise was so loud in the room I stayed.

Everything about the hotel the location just round the corner from the railway station. The Receptionists were friendly. The room was clean

I had emailed the hotel or company asking for a room at the back looking on to the railway but I got a room 120 in the corner not much of the window looking out on some air con units .I didn't get a response back

The hotel is in a good location in relation to the train station, and the rest of the city. For travellers, it's ideal - not even ten minutes to the station. The rooms have a pleasant layout, and they're bright. There is also a bit of hanging space - 4 hangers, which was fine for a weekend at least. Free WiFi was an added bonus.

There is little by way of sound-proofing, so I heard someone in a neighboring room sneeze, cough, alarms, conversations. In addition, the location meant that there was a lot of external sound - police from the station, trains, and drunken revellers. Not the hotel's fault, but it didn't lead to a great night of sleep. Furthermore, the room wasn't particularly clean on arrival. Dust and hair around the room, it didn't look like it had been cleaned that well. Check-in felt very rushed too. The lady on reception reeled the information off, without giving me a chance to process it. This meant I didn't know a lot about the hotel process, breakfast, etc. as there was no other paperwork or information given. A small leaflet would have been helpful, as I was particularly overwhelmed at that time, so it wasn't until later that I tried to recall the conversation.

I was disgusted on arrival to find out that the reason we paid so much was because of the great north run. We wasn’t visiting for this and had no idea it was on, we also wasn’t aware that we paid more because of this. We assumed this was the normal price.

It was a low cost option, competitive against Premier, but just as good, frankly a bit better. Location was excellent, staff were really lovely (big difference against Premier!), room was simple but nice. Wil be a regular!

Very centrally based, parking easy at the station for £20 a day. Clean, friendly staff and a bargain for the cost.

Excellent location - very close to the train station. Check-in process was easy and smooth. Great value for the price we paid. We used the luggage storage after checking out and it was quick and painless.

It's downtown and near the train tracks so not the quietest, but overnight once the trains stopped running it was fine. Room was quite tiny but that was expected.

Excellent location only a few hundred metres from the station but on a quiet street. A short walk to bars restaurants shops and the river.

That I followed the cancellation request policy of booking.com and Sheraton said it was wrong. We couldn't make the reservation due to a suicide on the train tracks to Newcastle. Party of 9, 2 in wheelchairs, 3 kids. No sympathy at all

Centrally located hotel in Newcastle (near the train station); the rooms were functional and clean—everything was very good. We didn't have breakfast.

Storage space was limited. Shower stall did not have door or curtain (although there was a wall separating the shower and toilet) and the faucet at the sink was very short, so showering and washing of hands was a bit awkward.

The room was convenient for me travelling alone, not so much if I'd been sharing as space is limited. The shower screen would be more effective if it were 6 to 12 inches wider to prevent water splashing over the floor. I desisted from breakfast as I thought the price was rather high.

The location - a 2 minute walk from Central Station. Tucked away enough to be off the busiest streets. Staff were friendly.

The small ‘wet room’ bathrooms were a bit unusual. The shower and toilet/sink were partially separated by a glass divide, but it still results in most of the tiled floor getting wet, and remaining wet for some time, should you then need to use the toilet/sink

Location was fantastic- right in Newcastle but quiet enough off to sleep well. Nicely sized rooms with a really good shower. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Really friendly staff. Would stay again if I was in Newcastle.

Sound proof is horrible Free wifi is very slow to the point I rather use my own data Breakfast selections are VERY limited one example is the only have gluten free sausage, which does not taste good at all. While we understand they tried to accommodate other dietary requirement they should still have the regular sausages Mold can be seen inthe shower room/ wet room so once you shower the whole shower room/ toilet would be wet.

The location is excellent. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The room was very dark at night and the bed comfortable.

We had a number of dark hairs on our duvet cover, I imagine they came through the laundry but still a little creepy. There is a definite smell of sewer at high tide, probably not much the hotel can do. I would still use this hotel again.

Tiny room, sink for tiny hands

Lovely clean rooms, they’re big, bright and airy. The air con was absolutely appreciated during the 32 degree heat. The breakfast was good, there was a good selection of hot food, cereals, bread, pastries, muffins, yogurts and fruit. We were able to check in early due to our room being ready by 12, and after a 4 hour drive this was very much appreciated. We were checked in by a lovely lady called Emily. She was warm, friendly, saw I was in pain so checked us in quickly. Later on we had an emergency and I realised I hadn’t printed my speech for the funeral I was attending. My husband went down and spoke to Emily, who was so lovely, and not only printed the speech, but also gave us a plastic wallet to keep it safe. It was only a small gesture but it meant the world to us. Emily is an absolute credit to the company. We would 100% stay here again. I have absolutely no complaints about my stay, it was perfect.

Floor seemed a bit slippy and floor outside shower got v wet...it is a wet room I know but if you were sharing a room I don't think it would be nice to use after. Noisy AC unit. Glad it wasn't hot this week. I had to turn it off. Noise from other rooms esp re plumbing.i think. Couldn't lock the room door.

I walked the Hadrian´s wall path and I stayed in the hotel twice, at the beginning and at the end of my trip. The position of the hotel is strategic, very close to the Central Railway station and a metro station. It can be reached very easily by metro or a train. It is situated close to the historical castle and practically on the Hadrian´s path. The hotel room was clean and comfortable, definitely unsuitabe for a longer stay, but perfect for short stays in the center of the city. Breakfast was good, gluten free diet available. The staff was nice. I can only recommend this accommodation.

The was a considerable level of nois comming from outside, but it was not unexpectable, moreover I am a little bit hypersensitive because of living in quiet envirinment. I alway take my earplugs with me while travelling.

Frühstück ist nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen. Der Frühstücksraum ist nicht besonders einladend und das Essen gerade mal durchschnittlich, fettiges Bacon, lauwarme Sausages etc. Am schlimmsten aber ist, dass man die Fenster nicht öffnen kann und so an heißen Tagen auf die Klimaanlage angewieden ist. Das führt bei einem längeren Aufenthalt zu Halsschmerzen.

You are next to the train tracks so do get some train noise, but not as much as you think, dripping noise from the toilet and bright red TV light were a bit distracting.

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Die je ook zo hielp, met bv. een oplader die ik niet mee had. Kregen een veel grotere kamer dan geboekt wat een leuke meevaller was. goeie kamer, modern en prima ontbijt. Fijn ook dat we de spullen na het uitchecken nog even veilig konden opslaan tot we later op de dag terug naar huis vertrokken.

In de nacht hoorde je wel leidingen of iets dergelijks soms doorlopen. Zou fijn zijn als ze daar iets aan kunnen doen. gelukkig was het niet de hele tijd.

Ik werd heel hartelijk ontvangen door het personeel. Ze boden alle hulp aan ook met bagage en hadden tijd voor een persoonlijk praatje. Ik mocht de bagage in de ochtend ook laten staan om de stad te verkennen tot mijn bus ging. De kamer was heel groot en had prachtig uitzicht op de hoofdstraat. Het station was heel dichtbij. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en genoeg keuze. Ook voor avondeten zijn er in de omgeving genoeg opties. Dit was de enige kamer in mijn hele reis die een airco had, juist op het moment dat die niet meer nodig was. Wel prettig.

De ramen kunnen niet open, wat voor mij altijd een beetje opgesloten voelt. Verder heb ik geen negatieve ervaringen over deze locatie te melden.

The breakfast was good but the pastries were cold and the bacon was very fatty and not hugely Brown.... bit of a turn off ..coffee was nice!

The room was modern fresh and clean. We had an Efficient Double room for just one night. So delighted there was AirCon in room. The room had everything you needed set out in an organised efficient way. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay: nice bed, cool temp, people on check in were lovely. I would definitely us this Hotel Chain again.

Personally only two small things. Quite small bin (bad) but separated sections for recycling (good). I loved the wet room type shower but you have to be careful not to drench the floor around the sink.

Welcoming staff & easy check in. Room was huge & clean, beds were comfy and shower was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Before I arrived at the hotel, I didn't know how my expectations were going to be met especailly since it was my first hotel experience. But once I arrived, the receptionist greeted me with a lot of reassurance and willingness to make my stay comfortable. The fact that the hotel is only 4 mins away from the central stn and 15-20 mins away from attractions helped my stay even more. The hotel had a security guard during the latr hours from 11pm till early mornings which made my stay feeel safer esepcially when I was going out and coming back in early hours of the morning. It was nice knowing that someone was there just incase. The hotel is literally 3-5 mins away from a bustling nightlife which was soo convenient!! The room itself was very comfortable, it had a functioning aircon and if I did need anything I just went to the reception.

It was a bit dusty in certain places but I wasn't fussy.

Wonderful hotel managed by equally wonderful people. Especially their reception team.

Didn’t like that the bed and pillows weren’t comfy woke up with a sore back and neck and that we were right Above the Tokyo club that was blasting music till 2am which kept my wife awake
