Location stupenda, camera perfetta così come la cucina super assortita per la colazione. Host accogliente e disponibile.

Breakfast options were varied. It was help yourself, which is nice, no complaint. We booked a large room but because of the roof line we were unable to stand up in every corner in the room. Where our luggage was, we had to be careful not to hit our heads. The bathroom was extremely small, and the window with the harbor view was also small. However, great location, restaurants nearby. The trail to the castle is right by the guesthouse. Parking is plentiful and easy. Paul was very friendly and let us check in early.

We expected more from the room. The view was just a itty bitty window, and we could not stand up in the entire room.

This is a small guest house where the owner lives in the same building, and it shows in the best way. On arrival we rang a small bell and the owner came out and showed us to our room himself. He was very friendly throughout and gave us good tips for things to see and do nearby. The room itself was generously sized, with a lovely view over the harbour. It had a large sofa, a big bed and plenty of space to move around. The bathroom was small but had everything needed, including a shower, toilet and washbasin. There is a first-floor lounge and breakfast room. Breakfast is self-service: a fridge and cupboards are stocked with fresh bread and a range of products, and guests help themselves and bring the dirty dishes back to the kitchen afterwards. It works well and adds to the relaxed, personal feel of the place. The location is right on Stonehaven harbour, within walking distance of several restaurants, yet the guest house itself sits a little away from the main restaurant area, so it was very quiet and we slept well.

Nothing negative to report. One thing worth knowing rather than a criticism: this is a guest house, not a hotel, so there is no 24-hour reception.

The location was spot on, directly opposite the harbour. The continental breakfast was perfectly acceptable. Paul, our host, was very informative and helpful.

The location is excellent - right on the harbour. The host is friendly and helpful. The room was big with a large sitting area, and it looked right over the harbour and out to sea. What a beautiful sunrise! The breakfast is a help-yourself affair with lots of continental breakfast style options.

The bed linens were clean but past their prime. The pillows were due for a refresh as well.

Gastgeber Paul empfängt einen mit seiner freundlichen Art in seiner Unterkunft mit den liebevollen und individuell gestalteten Zimmern. Das Konzept mit den Gemeinschaftsräumen ( Küche, Ess- und Wohnzimmer) fanden wir sehr gut. Das kontinentale Frühstück kann sicher jeder aus den dargebotenen Sachen zu einer beliebigen Uhrzeit selbst zusammenstellen. Die Lage am Hafen ist sehr gut. Fußweg zum Castle geht direkt am Haus vorbei und viele Restaurants in der Nähe.

I highly recommend Shorehead Guesthouse. It is beautifully situated (right by the sea), the rooms are small but very well-appointed, and the hospitality is outstanding. I would book it again in a heartbeat!

Underbar värd, supermysigt ställe med välstädat rum och gemensamhetsutrymmen. Läget på boendet är helt perfekt precis i hamnen med mysiga ställen att äta på, men ändå nära in till ”centrum”. Värden var jättetrevlig och visade runt på boendet vid ankomst. God frukost med självbetjäning ingick. Har inget att klaga på!

La posizione è incredibile, ottima la colazione fornita e da prepararsi da soli. Stanza comoda e accogliente.

The decor was lovely, the views fantastic.... Breakfast was nice with loads of choice and always good bread. 😁 Paul was lovely, good source of some local knowledge to start us off, this being our first time here. All in all a perfect, stress free stay!

Perfekte Lage, sehr familiär und gastfreundlich! Die gemeinsame Küche steht einem 24/7 zur Verfügung, ebenso ein sehr schöner Essensraum. Die Zimmer sind neu und geschmackvoll möbliert, alles perfekt sauber. Der Gastherr ist sehr um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht - von Beginn bis zur Abreise. Wir hatten noch etwas im Zimmer vergessen, das er uns zum Auto gebracht hat 😊

Die Atmosphäre im Haus mit Möglichkeit die Räume zu benutzen, das Zubereiten des Frühstücks mit grosser Auswahl, Gespräche mit Paul, immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Aussicht zum Hafen, Sonnenaufgang um 4:15h. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

A wonderful place to stay right on the pretty harbour at Stonehaven. There are a number of places to eat a few mins walk away. The path to Dunnottar Castle is right next to the property and well worth the effort to walk along the cliffs to the castle. The host, Paul, was friendly and welcoming. Continental breakfast was good. It was peaceful at night and the room comfortable. There’s free parking on the harbourside and, even on a lovely sunny day, I was able to find a spot with no trouble.

Posizione fantastica. Parcheggio moto davanti alla struttura. Camera pulita, silenziosa. L’host sempre presente, disponibile ed mai invadente. Ottima la possibilità di prepararsi da soli la colazione con i propri tempi, con una cucina attrezzata e fornita di cibo e una comodissima sala comune.

Per noi motociclisti che abbiamo molta attrezzatura e abbigliamento tecnico, forse la camera è un po’ piccolina ma organizzandosi con gli spazi si risolvono questi minimi dettagli.

Great location on the harbour practically next door to a couple of the best pubs and restaurants in Stonehaven. The footpath to Dunnottar Castle is just around the corner.

Hike directly to Dunnottar Castle from Harbour. Harbour webcam so you can wave to friends and family while you’re there. Parking on the harbour is convenient.

Paul war ein sehr freundlicher Gastgeber! Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, sobald man angekommen ist. Die Lage ist phänomenal im wunderschönen Hafen von Stonehaven. Sehr schöne Restaurants in der Nähe. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und bis zum Dunnottar Castle ist es nicht weit entfernt. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls klasse!!!

Great spot for us. Clean, comfy, easy parking. Easy walk to a number of nearby restaurants and the downtown area. Included breakfast was via selection of simple options but quite good.

Notre chambre donnait sur un mur latéral alors que la maison était sur le port .et qu'elle n'était pas pleine ! Le petit déjeuner inclus n'était pas servi . Le propriétaire charmant pas ailleurs nous a indiqué où trouver le pain le beurre le café et le thé et nous a pries de débarrasser la table . Pas très élégant...

As soon as we got to the property Paul made us feel extremely welcome. The breakfast was the best we had seen . The rooms were very clean and the showers had good pressure and were hot.

We have nothing negative to say about this property.

Die Lage ist hervorragend, man geht quasi zur Tür raus und ist sofort am Hafenbecken. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen vergleichbaren Unterkünften muss man hier jedoch ein wenig aktiver sein beim Frühstück und sich die Zutaten selber in der Küche Zusammensuchen, um sie dann im Speiseraum zu verzieren. Aber damit kann man leben.

Es hat uns alles prima gefallen wir würden die Unterkunft empfehlen und auch wiederkommen

We liked everything! Staff were amazing, the room is a little tight but very comfortable and the location trumps all! It didn't take us more than 20 minutes in Stonehaven to realize we should have booked 2 nights!

Paul, l'host, è stato super disponibile, gentile e chiaro durante il check in. la colazione è veramente fornita per ogni tipo di necessità (porridge, yogurt, dolce, salato, caffè, tè, ecc.) la posizione è eccezionale, parcheggio davanti la struttura, vista sul molo fantastica (se c'è bel tempo, l'alba è super), molto vicina la castello di Dunnottar.

It was the perfect B&B even though we weren't expecting breakfast. We thought we were staying at a holiday home, but Paul was on site, and supplied everything you would want for a continental breakfast, and asked us for anything extra we desired, and would pick it up during the day.

The only thing I can think of is, it would be good to have a bar fridge in your room, even though you have all the fridge space you need in the kitchen on the second floor.

We chose to stay in the area of Stonehaven mainly to visit the Dunnottar Castle, which was amazing, but we experienced much more than that during our stay here. Shorehead Guesthouse is beautiful and in a fantastic location, right on the little harbour. Our host, Paul is friendly and offered suggestions for dining and adventures in the area. The breakfast was great, we helped ourselves to an array of quality food and beverages and Paul was on hand for anything we required. The view from the dining/living room was stunning.

Location was superb, it was a well appointed room with a very comfortable bed, breakfast was lovely as was the host.

Shorehead guesthouse is in a stunning location in Stonehaven right across from the bay and next to at several restaurant/pubs and the trailhead to Dunnottar Castle. Our room and en suite bathroom were very clean and comfortable, but the most notable feature here was the full living room/breakfast room and the extensive help yourself breakfast complete with bakery bread and French press. Paul, our host, was on-site and extremely accomodating and helpful.

Honestly I can't think of any drawbacks except that I wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely guest house with marina views. Smallish but comfortable, clean room. Paul was a very gracious host and runs a very guest-friendly place. Beautiful lounge with great views over the marina. While the included breakfast was "only" continental, it was more than satisfactory. Wish we could have stayed in the town an extra couple of days!

A bit limited for restaurants an easy walk away but we had a fantastic dinner 2 minute walk away at the Tolbooth.

A generous, varied breakfast menu makes for a great start to the day in a really attractive and interesting fishing harbour setting with some excellent restaurants and walks. Le stanze sono un po'piccoline, ma la struttura è una guest house quindi immagino non sia così facile migliorare questo aspetto. In ogni caso per un soggiorno di qualche notte va benissimo!

Skvělý podkrovní pokoj s výhledem na přístav v krásném kamenném domě přímo v přístavu. Celý dům i pokoj byly velmi čisté a vkusně zařízené. Postele byly pohodlné, dobře se v nich spalo. Koupelna sice maličká, to je dáno dispozicí podkroví, ale dostačující. Huňaté, měkké ručníky a osušky. Ocenili jsme příjemný a pohodlný obývací pokoj s krbem a jídelnou, který je společný pro všechny hosty v domě. Ráno snídaně připomínala domov, neboť jsme si mohli v kuchyni vzít k jídlu, co jsme našli a na co jsme měli chuť, všeho bylo dost. Výborný chleba s křupavou kůrkou. V neposlední řadě musím vyzdvihnout osobnost majitele Paula, který je skvělý, starostlivý a díky němu jsme se zde cítili výborně. Parkování hned před domem na nábřeží zdarma nebyl problém. Několik skvělých restaurací je pár metrů od domu. Výchozí bod pro procházku k hradu Dunnottar. Modrá obloha a jasné slunce byly bonus na závěr.
