Bayview Bed and Breakfast

The communication with David the owner was good. The room was clean. The doors to the shower came off their rollers when I tried to close them. The bathroom was small with nowhere to put our things but it was OK for 2 days. The continental breakfast provided was generous.

Very dirty only double bed needs refurbishing!

Fantastic location on sea front. Central location for shops and tourist attractions. Very clean with a very comfortable bed and lots of comfy pillows. Loved automatically lights in hallway and bathroom. Good WiFi. Owner responded to queries quickly.

Parking could be tricky on Main Street when busy. Main door is very heavy and closes very quickly, so great care is needed to avoid it slamming on you.

It was a big appartement with the toilet and shower in a separate part. The view at sea is great. It was very clean. Breakfast was great

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist aussergewöhnlich: Die Aussicht aus der grossen Fensterfront direkt auf das Meer ist atemberaubend. Die Wohnung ist zweckmässig eingerichtet und sauber. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lässt (fast) keine Wünsche offen. Die Wohnungsübernahme war äusserst unkompliziert (Schlüsseltresor). Wir würden jederzeit nochmals im Bayview übernachten.

Die Platzverhältnisse im Badezimmer sind sehr beschränkt.

Es war sehr schön gelegen und man wacht mit Blick aufs Meer und den Sonnenaufgang auf.

Also mit einem großen Auto wird das Einparken durch die Grundstückseinfahrt ein bisschen zur Erprobung der Fahrkünste. Ein Einweiser ist recht hilfreich. Beispiel - bei einem GLE hat man rechts und links ca. fünf Zentimeter.

Stayed in apartment 1 which is described as having no seaview (fair enough). Bed and room stank of dog in a supposedly no pets property, mattress was terrible sagging feet higher than head no support at edges, barely adequate breakfast, difficult access in car to unload and had to park on public roads a walk away, noisy when other apartments ran taps etc. We slept poorly, ate some of basic breakfast (packet cereals and croissant) decided we couldn't face another night so left and booked accommodation elsewhere for our second night.

The view was second to none

We couldn’t open a window, and it was roasting inside. We called the owner but there was no response. The first time I called I got a message saying “l’m not available, call this number. I didn’t have a pencil so went inside to get one. When I called again,it just rang out. I called 4 times. There was no communication. Very disappointed. At least it was only a window we couldn’t get open. Not a burst pipe. There was no response.

Sur booking on a l’impression de réserver une chambre avec vu sur la mer et on se retrouve vu sur une cour pourtant il me semblait avoir bien réservé vu sur mer Et le bruit infernal toute la nuit des goélands difficile de dormir

Sea view, comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen.

The property is a bit tired and shabby, the curtains and nets were shabby and creased making them look scruffy, the valance on the bed was ripped at the bottom and marked, there were dirty marks all over the radiator, everything in the kitchen felt sticky, the shower tiles need a really good clean, there were marks all over the tiles, we could not use the wardrobe as it was full of random items

Most excellent selection of food for breakfast and replenished every day and even had the opportunity to ask for other items not on the usual list!! The bed was absolutely superb and so comfortable. We had the courtyard room with no view as a last minute booking and still it had all appointments one could ask for. Comfortable bed cleanliness and a great breakfast beyond our needs or expectations.

I think it’s time the bathroom tiles were given a good clean. There are spots near basin toilet etc. That said, this back apartment, though showing its age, is very clean and well appointed and highly recommended as value for money.

Die Unterkunft hat eine super Lage direkt an der Strandpromenade. Das Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr liebevoll und reichhaltig im Zimmer vorbereitet

Camera sporca, bagno in un corridoio con prodotti di scarsa qualita e apribili da chiunque e non pulito. Vertate sporchissime, come pure il balconcino con le sedie e il tavolino inutilizzabili. Non era specificato che la colazione era fai da te, ma oltre ciò composta da prodotti di scarsa qualità già aperti e utilizzati da altri tipo latte e burro. Abbiamo soggiornato due giorni in due c'erano 2 uova 3 fette di pane in contenitori di dubbia pulizia, mancava zucchero marmellata tovaglioli. Tostapane sporco. Non hanno rifatto i letti e gli oggetti utilizzati per la colazione li abbiamo lasciati sporchi e recuperati puliti fuori dalla porta con il rischio che i gabbiani gli facessero la festa .

Il panorama.......

Le foto e le recensioni ci avevano convinti a prenotare questa struttura, ma purtroppo la nostra esperienza è stata completamente diversa da quanto ci aspettavamo. Non sono solita lasciare recensioni negative, ma questa volta credo sia giusto raccontare la nostra esperienza. Già il check-in è stato complicato: avremmo dovuto entrare nella struttura per scoprire dove parcheggiare gratuitamente, ma nel frattempo non sapevamo dove lasciare l'auto. Le chiavi erano in una cassetta di sicurezza praticamente impossibile da aprire: ci abbiamo impiegato circa 15 minuti. Ho provato a chiamare e a scrivere per chiedere aiuto, ma non ho ricevuto alcuna risposta. La stanza al piano terra ci ha dato subito l'impressione di essere più un deposito che una camera per gli ospiti. L'ambiente sembrava umido e poco curato, con lenzuola macchiate. Anche la colazione è stata una grande delusione: tre merendine confezionate, quattro mini confezioni di cereali e un barattolo di caffè già aperto da preparare con la moka... peccato che non ci fossero i fornelli per utilizzarla. Nel frigorifero abbiamo trovato una scatola di plastica con due fette di pane, due sottilette, una confezione di margarina già aperta e usata e due uova, senza alcuna possibilità di cucinarle. Il bollitore era sporco e abbiamo preferito non utilizzarlo. Il bagno è stato l'aspetto più assurdo del soggiorno. Per raggiungerlo bisognava uscire dalla stanza attraverso una porta a spinta e percorrere un corridoio con altre porte laterali, situazione che ci ha trasmesso una sensazione di poca privacy. Il bagno era minuscolo: la doccia occupava praticamente tutto lo spazio e il lavandino era talmente piccolo e basso da risultare davvero scomodo. Come se non bastasse, nel cestino del bagno erano ancora presenti due assorbenti usati, segno evidente che non era stato svuotato dopo gli ospiti precedenti. Per fortuna abbiamo trascorso qui una sola notte. Anche il materasso è risultato estremamente scomodo.

Tolle, ruhige Lage direkt an der Strandpromenade. Frühstücken auf der eigenen Terrasse mit Meerblick. Der Landlord hat sehr prompt auf Mängelhinweise reagiert, wenn er das Problem letztlich auch nicht beheben konnte.

Kleines Zimmer ohne Schrank oder Ablage für Kleider. Lieblose Einrichtung. Sauberkeit liess zu wünschen übrig. Kein herzliches Welcome, kein frisch gekochtes schottisches Frühstück eines klassischen beiden Breakfasts.

We didn’t read the notice properly about washing pots . We filled the basket with all our dirty plates from breakfast placed the request form on top , Didn’t notice it saying leave outside lol. So I had to clean with wipes . That’s our fault though , might be good idea writing it on request form as well as the box ,

Tolle Lage und toller Ausblick auf Meer.

La limpieza nos pareció adecuada. A 20 minutos andando y 5 en coche en el puerto hay un par de restaurantes que se cena muy bien a base de marisco y pescado.

Espacio limitado, cuando se lleva un equipage generoso al estar viajando en coche por Escocia No ves ni al gestor del alojamiento ni nosotros pudimos contactar con el. El desayuno era productos preparados conservados adecuadamente en el frigorífico, pero vamos mejor desayunar en alguna cafeteria-bar proximo. Acceso difícil, por no decir imposible con coche para carga y descarga de equipaje.

Cama confortável.

O banheiro é extremamente mal planejado. A pia é minúscula e o box do banho bem ruim. Tudo bem apertado. A vista pro mar é legal, mas no apartamento que ficamos era no nível da calçada, então tinham pessoas o tempo todo passando... o que prejudicou a nossa privacidade. As fotos do apartamento tavam bem diferentes da realidade, além de que ele tá com móvel quebrado na parte da "cozinha" e a geladeira tava vazando água. Esperávamos mais pelo preço e pelas fotos.

Bilder passen nicht zur Wohnung. Insgesamt okay für eine Nacht. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Wir hatten die Wohnung Courtyard. Und der Preis war bei uns 120Euro unsere Meinung eher 80-90Euro wert. In der Dusche war Schimmel und Flecken an den Wänden.

Die Lage

Angefangen mit der extrem schwierigen Einfahrt in den Hof, bis hin zu dem lieblos eingerichteten Raum und angewöhnen Bad war der Aufenthalt enttäuschend. Der Raum lag im EG mit nicht richtig schließsender Glastür zur Promenade. Die Gardinen waren zum Teil runtergerissen.Das Bett war schmal und roch nach Schweiß. Das angebotene Frühstück bestand aus Lebensmitteln im Kühlschrank: 2 Scheiben Toast, 2 Endstücke von Vollkorntoast, Eier, die man sich in der Mikrowelle zubereiten sollte , diverse andere Dinge - alles in Plastik und als Krönung eine angebrochene Familienpackung Margarine.

Perfect location. Breakfast was as good as was possible.

Parking by the room would have helped

The location is brilliant, the room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable!

The decor could do with some upgrades, the tiles make the room feel quite cold, the curtains were ripped and stained, some of the furniture was broken and overall it did feel a little tired.

Quaint apartment, but has everything you need, and is very comfortable.

This apartment is difficult to get to buy car. The check-in info says there is parking info in the apartment once you arrive. It is. But this is better shared pre-checkin, so you can park first, then walk in.

I liked the size of the room, the cleanliness, the breakfast was fabulous.

The only thunk was that I couldn't park closer as I walk with a stick.

Frühstück war vorbereitet im Kühlschrank. Frisches Obst, Joghurt, Toast usw....Die Betten sind definitiv zu klein/schmal und auch sehr unbequem und hart.

This beachfront property had no direct access to the beach. It wasn't a shock, it was made perfectly clear to me in all the correspondence. However, I wish I'd booked a room with access. There was no interaction with staff or the owners. Provided you read all the bumpf, this wasn't a problem. The fridge was packed with the most thoughtful of provisions. Porridge and fruit was also in the mix. The room was excellent and everything you possibly want was provided. Brilliant...

Nobody's fault but mine. But I wish I had beach access. It would have been the icing on the cake...

Emplacement

We had a room with direct sea view on the ground floor with a terrace. The room was spacious with the bed, living room and kitchenette (though without sink or tab) in one space. The bath was along the corridor. Breakfast was included in our booking and was prepacked in the kitchenette due to a no contact policy. All the basics were included, but if one has special wishes, there are various small supermarkets and stores a few minutes walk away where you can buy additional foods and beverages. The owner came by and asked, whether everything was ok and offered assistance should we require it, which was really nice.

Nous sommes tres heureux d'avoir choisi la ville de Stonhaven comme arrêt de quelques jours. C'est joli. L'établissement Bayview est très bien situé, c'est calme. Nous avions la petite chambre du rez de chassée et ce fut satisfaisant, étant parti toute la journée. L'équipement est de qualité et la proposition pour le petit déjeuner est généreuse et variée. Je recommande sans problème.

Il serait bien d'installer des petites tablettes en coin dans la salle de bain pour y déposer quelques effets personnels.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar toll. Direkter Blick aufs Meer vom Bett aus. David ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber. Das Frühstück ist bereits im Kühlschrank und der Küchenzeile vorbereitet und mehr als reichhaltig. Das Bad ist sehr groß und sauber.

Leider ist das Zimmer und die Ausstattung sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Staubflusen an der Decke, abgelaufene Teppiche, Vorhänge die nicht mehr an allen Haken hängend, schräge Türen an den Schränkchen. Vor der Terrasse sind viele Fußgänger mit Hunden unterwegs (für uns war es in Ordnung).

Die Lage keine 10 Schritte vom Meer ist phänomenal. Vom Bett aus den Sonnenaufgang zu erleben ist klasse. Auch der sehr gut gefüllte Kühlschrank und Auswahl an Müsli für das Frühstück waren super.

Leider ist die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Das Sofa müsste einmal erneuert werden und der Kühlschrank erst recht. Auf den ersten Blick war auch alles sauber. Beim genau betrachten waren einige Ecken nicht ganz top fit.

I loved the position of my place.. Very close to the sea. I also loved the decor of the room and how it had everything I needed! Really appreciated the breakfast too.

Being self catering actually.. I live on my own at home so missed the company of seeing other people in reception or breakfast.. Oh could have done with other teas too 😂 I love green tea and Lemon and ginger.. I don't drink coffee..

The location was even better than the picture. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast was very generous.

Very comfortable, clean and convenient, light and bright in day, quiet at night, and loved being right on the beach. Excellent heating; temperature outside went down to zero centigrade but was warm and snug inside. Some beautiful sunrises were a bonus! David who runs the property, was kind and responsive, available if needed but also respectful of personal space. He even bought me a hot water bottle when I asked if there was one available...

Il letto è davvero piccolo e la colazione offerta è "fai da te". Non mi è piaciuto dover fruire del latte e del succo di frutta già aperto da altri, delle confezioni mono porzione sarebbero molto meglio.

Probably my fault but didn't notice it wasn't a sea view room until I checked on the day of arrival. It was on the booking but could have been more clear or in bold. Not a criticism at all more and observation as the room was lovely

The location on the seafront with spectacular views is amazing. The room is large and the bed is very large and extremely comfortable, great sleep.

Prix soit disant qui inclus le petit-déjeuner mais vraiment très léger pour un séjour de 3 nuits à 2 personnes. Seulement 2 œufs dur, 4 tranches de pain demi, 2 yaourts, 2 pains au chocolat, 2 croissants et des céréales pour tout le séjour. Tapis du salon pas très propre. Salle de bain sans lavabo mais juste avec 1 lave mains beaucoup trop bas. Le propriétaire ne répond ni aux messages booking ni aux sms.....dommage

Proximity to town and beach

I booked based upon the sea view and it wasnt until my booking confirmed, that i found out there was no view, or balcony. This clearly stated in correspondance emails and it should be clear on the pre booking advertisement. This way you get what you think your paying for, without being dissapointed.
