Warm Great staff Easy to find

The bed has to be the hardest mattress I have ever slept on, my sisters were in the room next door and the mattress did not fit the bed, it was too small.

It was very close to the railway station & town centre so perfect for accessing other places. The staff were very friendly & helpful & responded well to any requests

The only minor complaint would be that the chairs in the bar area were uncomfortable as the back support was hard! There wasn’t any comfortable seating like a sofa

Rooms were clean but lacked facilities. In a double room only one bedside table which is annoying as we both like to have a phone and water on the side. Buffet breakfast was lukewarm at best at 8am, and expensive at £15.

Personally we didn't like that we were staying on the ground floor and our window faced the main entrance to the hotel. Wouldn't have been an issue however no net curtain or anything so if you have the main curtain open everyone can see you which is not ideal ie privacy. Asked reception if anyone had mentioned it before apparently not.

Bar and breakfast are was good, Room was sufficient for what we needed for the weekend. Great location for taking a short walk into Falkirk. Breakfast was spot on - very good. And they had Thatchers Gold on tap! Staff were super friendly and very helpful.

The Park Hotel was an excellent short term stay for us. The facilities were very good and the breakfast had everything we wanted and even made a different option of eggs for us.

Personally I found the bed too hard but my husband found it fine for him. I don't know if the size was a small double but it did seem small in width. There wasn't any air conditioning in the room either but the staff brought us a fan which was very kind.

The elevation was great to have access to with our heavy bags & good location for travel to Edinburgh Airport.

Friendly staff, good location

Uncomfortable bed, mediocre breakfast, scruffy room. I had booked the restaurant on our first night. We ended up eating a very average meal, in the reception area while being jostled by an arriving coach load of tourists and their bags and cases.

Lovely hotel, close to town (10 mins walk or 2 mins in car). Spotlessly cean and comfortable room. Welcoming staff.

Only niggle was room was quite warm but heating was not on? Very minor issues and we only stayed one night so no big deal. Slept with window ajar and hardly any noise.

The tv in my room was broken. I was too tired to worry about it when I arrived and just went to sleep, but did mention it on check out.

Nice location with free onsite parking. The room was a little smaller, but still functional. The breakfast included a full hot breakfast option.

The hot breakfast had cooled off a bit by the time we got there.

We have enjoyed stays here previously and it is our first choice when visiting the area. Staff are always pleasant, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely and clean as was the bar and restaurant area. Food has always been good.

We stayed at the Park Hotel w/c 1st September for 2 nights. Upon arrival we noticed a strong smell of what best could be described as smoked fish/kipper and this pervaded during our entire stay. We were initially delighted with our room however as we became accustomed several little niggles appeared. No suitcase rack, there was a poor hospitality tray, no choice of teas, no saccharin, only one biscuit for two persons. The bathroom had been recently refurbished but little thought as to customer usage e.g. at the shower, nowhere to put soap and shampoo, no towel rail within reach, the shower was forceful but did tend to cause overspill of the tray onto the bathroom flooring. Breakfast was rather a poor display, most food was lukewarm, cheap ingredients, some overcooked scrambled egg and an absence of fried eggs. The tea/coffee station was a complete mess as it was necessary to make one’s tea whilst others waited to use the area, coffee was cheap and disgusting. The constant chatter between waiting staff throughout breakfast was annoying, impolite and unnecessary. We felt it would have been much better to have stayed at the Premier Inn.

The staff were very friendly and the location was perfect for us. The room was clean and had a bath which was a bonus. There was plenty of hot water and amazing water pressure in the shower. There was a good menu in the restaurant and very reasonable price too.

The room was very warm and next to the cleaning cupboard which was nosey on the morning. The taps were very stiff to turn at first but did ease up after a couple of uses. There was also a box running along the wall and floor, I am assuming for pipes but this meant the mattress did not meet the wall and the pillows kept falling down the gap. The pillows were comfy but very flat, a couple of extras would have been nice.

Our room. We should have asked if we could change rooms. We were on the ground floor. We could not leave our curtains open as everyone could see in. People were smoking outside our bedroom window on Sunday morning. We had to close the window because smoke was drifting in. There was a large ashtray outside our window and people were sheltering from the rain. The shower curtain was mouldy. It wouldn’t have cost much to replace it. The poor young lady on breakfast service was having a hard shift as she was on her own on Saturday morning until 9am. We did point this out to reception and she had help on Sunday morning. We did have complimentary breakfast on Sunday as we had complained. There is a smell in the corridor on the way to room 60 where we stayed it was also there three years ago when we last stayed at the Park Hotel.

Clean room. Perfect for two people. The breakfast was superb.

Room was good just what I needed. Bedding and towels were pristine bed was comfortable. Bathroom clean and bright, shower fabulous. Breakfast was a little disappointing the cooked was good and plenty of The continental breakfast was was disappointing partly due to a large European coach party departing on my first morning. I had expected fruits, and croissants there were none on the first morning and no fruits on the second.

I liked the location and it was decent hotel.

On the morning of checkout, housekeeping broke my door open. They didn’t knock, they didn’t announce themselves. I had the chain on the door and they actually broke part of the door off.

Breakfast was the usual offering. Dinner was a great price at £22 fir 3 courses and location was good

Used just for one night stay before heading to Edinburgh Airport. perfectly placed and only quick 30 minute drive to airport. Room basic standard double. coffee tea service in room. lovely sized bath with constant hot water. Breakfast was included in our price which was ideal start to the day, cooked meats and pastries and cold hams and cheese, yogurt cereal etc. Staff was welcoming and helpful.

Room 43. Being a hotel where companies would stay their employees the room walls are not well insulated and could hear various conversations on mobiles, zoom meetings during the night (also some poor chap honking his guts up in the morning hours).

Not a real don’t like …. They wouldn’t serve coffees at the bar till after 11am when they had done with breakfast but not all people want breakfast & a nice good coffee would have been instead of a basic one which was provided in the rooms

I liked the location, the staff were great

Airconditioning, or the ability to open a window properly. The room was uncomfortably hot. The mattress has seen better days. The breakfast was a disappointment. Not a huge variety on offer and I don't think I've ever tasted such disgusting tattie scones.

The staff were excellent both in reception, bar and restaurant. The food was also very good and very reasonably priced. Overall the hotel was clean and presentable and for the cost offered a good value stay.

The room was a little small but ok for a short stay, unfortunately I found it to be very warm and the fan available was very poor, noisy and offered little comfort even with the window being open! Toilet role was not replenished. Could provide better pillows as these were flat and hard. The fire alarm went off late evening which I appreciate is not the hotels fault however the staff on at that time struggled to sort the issue with the alarm system so maybe better staff training in this situation? We had no member of staff come to the car park where guest accumulated to discuss what the issue was, if it was a fire or false alarm. After 10-15 minutes or so it became evident it was likely a false alarm but no one advised until we were advised another member of staff was on their way to sort the alarm system out. The lounge area could really do with comfortable seating, my parents struggled with the high seating and they were not very comfortable for relaxing with a drink.

I've stayed at the Park Hotel previously a few times either for passing through or visiting family in the area. It is well located, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are tired but comfortable, if not a little small (well the ones I've been in). I did have an issue with the shower which was incredibly powerful (no judgement) so hadn't realised it was blasting past the shower curtain, so I flooded the bathroom. Rather embarrassed and sorry, I did admit to the staff on exit.

Check in, staff friendliness

The toilet in our room had not been cleaned, there was poo stains all around the bowl. We did not eat breakfast, especially seeing how the scrambled eggs were poured from a bucket into the buffet tray. That's disgusting. We requested a packed breakfast on the day we were leaving, nothing was done, instead we had cereal.

Nice hotel in a good location with plenty of parking. Room was a bit dated, especially the bathroom, but it was comfortable enough. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good. Overall it was good value and an ideal base for visiting the local attractions.

Fact we were charged for 2rooms but i only booked 1 room and room was a small double and am still waiting on my refund for room from booking.com .

Close to kelpies and the wheel, lots of other things to do near there. We enjoyed the Jupiter art land open air art park too Friendly staff, good dinners and breakfast, thought it was great value Two coach trips in, but they dived separately so want a problem for us

Only 1 thin pillow per person on the bed. We did get another 2 but they were also thin. No fruit at breakfast and only fruit yogurt

Ideal location for us, good breakfast, clean.

Great location. We were using it as a stop onan onward journey, and it had parking, which was a bonus at a hotel in town. The rooms were clean, well.furnished and reasonably comfortable. The in house restaurant provided "pub grub" at extremely competitive prices, and the breakfast was plentiful.

The pillows weren't very comfortable, and it wasa bit of a scramble to get breakfast on the Tuesday morning as there were two large coach parties (i had the strong impression this forms a substantial part of their clientele).

The staff were very friendly and pleasant throughout our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room decently serviced each day. The bathroom had a decent sized shower, soap and gels and it looked recently decorated. Breakfast and dinner were OK. The former is a buffet and suffered from sitting around but there was a decent range. Dinner too had a good choice of the normal standards. Not exciting but perfectly acceptable.

The room was on the ground floor and a 'superior double' but it needed the light on the whole time as there was only one small window. The rooms across the car park are probably lighter. The cost seemed high for what it was but it is summer holidays and Fringe in Edinburgh time.

Soweit war alles in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war sauber. Die Lage sehr gut. Das Haus war ruhig, die Straße hat nicht gestört.

Das Personal beim Einchecken war nicht sehr freundlich. Es gab keinerlei geschützten Platz für unsere Fahrräder, wir mussten sie im strömenden Regen vor der Tür anschließen. Das Frühstück war leider lieblos. Schade.

Frühstück war gut, gute Auswahl alles war da. Hat gut geschmeckt und war reichhaltig.

A man out the back of the hotel where our room was facing appeared to be talking very loudly to himself which woke me up early, this went in for a couple of hours.

The staff were friendly and hard-working, evidenced at breakfast and dinner. The food was prepared well and of a good standard at both breakfast and dinner whilst also the cost of the evening meal was very reasonable.

The hotel was a bit tired in terms of decor form both an exterior and interior perspective. This didn't affect my stay but the appearance and feel of the hotel would be improved with some fresh decor and modern furniture.

The pillows! Please update the pillows to good hotel pillows… they were flat and we both left with sore necks. We were told breakfast was 8-10am. I arrived at 9.10 for breakfast and was told I’d be lucky as they had fed 2 coach parties already. There was no offer to put more food on and they were already setting up lunch tables and telling us not to sit at certain tables. If breakfast is served until 10 there should be food and tables available until then.

The Room view was awful no sun light leaves on the floor and a fence, I took a picture. Breakfast was cold every morning even though we paid a lot of money we had to book a table for our evening meal A lot of work people stayed there which was ok because I think that is more for work people than holiday people .The lounge was high table and chairs were not suitable for elderly people, nowhere to sit for a quiet drink after evening dinner. Wasn't worth the money we paid very disappointed. First trip to Falkirk. We should have looked for different Hotels. Because my partner struggled to walk as he had a bad hip, we had to get a taxi everywhere we wanted to go. And The sheet had a rip in it. They changed it next day.

Friendly staff in a nice location with ample parking. Tasty cooked breakfast. Comfort beds the room was clean but the furniture and bathroom are rather dated.

The shower above the bath was dated and difficult to use. The room locks looked rather flimsy.
