The breakfast buffet is plentiful. They even have a carafe of hot milk for your coffee- yay! The onsen has a sauna and tub of cold water for after. There is an indoor and outdoor onsen. They allow tattoos, if you have any. The location is great. We did not have a car and love hiking and walking. Maybe 1 km to Eccoland, a 3 minute walk to the Taproom, about 5-7 minute walk to Happo One bus terminal. all easily reached.
The bathroom is super tiny. I never used the shower as I just kept using the onsen.
close to the slopes, pretty nice onsen, good food at the restaurant
staff sometimes is difficult in english
staff was accommodating and friendly. hotel was overall comfortable, clean and aesthetically pleasing. location was great.
design in the rooms / bathrooms was a bit dated.
onsen was great after a days skiing, beds comfy, bar was nice, breakfast was great, great location close to ski lift and bus stop
i had my ski boots taking from the drying room meaning i had to go back to rhythmn sports to get another pair to ski for the day.

our room was spacious clean and comfortable. Quiet hotel that suited our needs perfectly.
Breakfast could be improved it was quite basic. We enjoyed the miso station.
Very convenient to all the different shuttles that will that you to the slopes. 10 mins uber ride walk to the restaurants, Lawson and Rhythm make it extremely convenient. The Onsen facilities were excellent
The water pressure in our bathroom waa terrible but no biggie for us as we would do everything at the Onsen
The onsite onsen was a game changer for recovery post skiing! Being able to walk into Happo and Echoland for dinner spots was also great. The staff were always incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our beds were comfortable and access to the locker room was easy
A great hotel with plenty of facilities, and a very good breakfast with lots of choices. Located just a short walk (5 mins) to the closest ski lift, and plenty of restaurants and bars also in easy walking distance. A free bus to Goryu/Hakuba 47 stops in the car park right next to the hotel. The onsen and sauna were very good after a day on the slopes.
A little bit dated in some areas.
staff was friendly and accommodating with concerns and questions; also accommodated and was nice regarding late check in and request to store our luggage before our departure
design of rooms is a bit dated and not so much maintenance and up keep in small details
Location close to ski hill Excellent restaurant Helpful staff
It’s age is showing
Onsen
Staffs' service mind is dissapointing :( Service not up to standard.
Close to village and lifts..great breakfast..big rooms…great onsen…will return for sure!
All good!
So comfortable bed. The onsen!!!
I would have liked to get a bottle of water in the room and body lotion.
The daily breakfast was tasty and very convenient before our ski day. Our corner room with big windows and a view of the mountains was lovely to wake up to. The Onsen was spotless and well appointment. Maybe the best sauna I've ever used. The post-ski water bar was fun to visit everyday along with the onsen. Location to the village and ski lift was easily walkable.

Traditional yet modern hotel with excellent service and very helpful staff (for example with arranging the shipment of our luggage). Great onsen, a very good and extensive breakfast buffet, and a superb location close to the ski areas and restaurants.
The bar closes very early. Room cleaning was unclear: someone cleaned the room on the first day right after our arrival, but not on the following days.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we had questions/requirements regarding our snowboard baggage. The room was very spacious and tidy, great views of the snow covered mountains, breakfast in the mornings was nice. Location is great, just a short walk from Happo and a short drive to other resorts, also a short walk to local restaurants and food trucks.
The price was probably a little bit expensive but for the location we can't really complain.
. . . . we loved everything about our stay - this venue is definitely worthy of a 5 star rating.
The on-site onsen was wonderful and the breakfast was fantastic. It was also a very central location and easy to walk to everything.
Room was a bit dated and had an odd smell.
Location was great, walking distance to Happo-one mountain. Onsen was great with sauna, indoor and outdoor facilities. Bath a little bit dated but it’s a historic hotel so it’s charming. Didn’t really make a difference since we showered in the Osen every day.
Front desk was closed between 10am-2pm. No one available to call a cab, answer questions, etc
This was our second stay at Hotel Goyrukan. For skiing, the location is great as it's only a 5 min walk to the lifts. It's also a short walk to many restaurants, the bus station, and the Lawson convenience store. The hotel has had some upgrades, including new beds, which were very comfy. The onsen is excellent and is a true highlight. Breakfast is good. The hotel is kept very clean. The staff are great, kind and helpful.
The only knock is a lack of flexibility on some small things that make for some annoyances. We booked a reserved bus that picked up at the Snowpeak Landstation and were told that it was impossible to use the hotel shuttle, even though this bus stop is on the way to their designated stops. Breakfast ends at 9:00 sharp and is quickly cleared off. The restaurant stops serving dinner at 7:30. If you arrive outside these times, you are out of luck! The cost of accommodation in Hakuba is getting ridiculous. These issues are not deal breakers, but were a little frustrating and annoying.
Buffet breakfast was more than we expected. Lots of options. Onsen was incredible after a day on the slopes. The owner was very hospitable and generous.
Breakfast was ample. bar food and drinks nice in the evening. The onsen was fantastic. Love the indoor and outdoor hot pool option, the plunge cold tub and sauna.
It seems to be a lot of places around Hakuba shut around 8pm. I would prefer the bar/food to be available in the evening later
Great location, only short walk to slopes and village. Lovely buffet breakfast and evening buffet is great. Onsen and sauna are really good. Nice big TV, and ski lockers are good. They’ll collect you from train station or bus depot which is great. Lovely hotel, this is the second time we’ve been here. Will be back.
Cold in the common areas, especially at breakfast.
Loved the size of the rooms, onsen was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing my family didn’t like.
Clean, beautiful view, breakfast was delicious
Na
Breakfast and onsen were included!
Closeness to slopes Storage for skiis Food Onsen
Can’t wear swimmers in onsen Room was very cold. Window wasn’t insulated enough No water in rooms to drink Or tea bags
The onsen was fabulous. It was clean and I love the outdoor onsen while snowing. There was also the sauna and cold bath outside but we didn't use them. Breakfast was good with fresh pancake and eggs/omelettes made on demand. The bus stop for slopes is close (use Nakiyama stop). You can also walk to Happo One. We were lucky that it snowed loads during our stay which made great powder.
The dinner was ok. It was not our style of food for a holiday in Japan.(mainly western style) But if you have kids, there are loads of options they would love.
Grande chambre traditionnelle aux pieds des pistes. Vue imprenable
Close to slopes and an Onsen to start/finish the day. Rooms were very spacious and warm.
The staff were really unhelpful. They didn’t help with said the bus was unavailable then really unhelpful to find further transport. Breakfast was cold.
Room very spacious, comfy bed and interesting water bar
Nice staff and nice location
We had a lovely stay here. We had twin rooms on the 4th floor that had great views of the mountain and were very large. The outdoor and indoor onset are great and a fabulous way to end a day of skiing. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of things.
Some of the breakfast items weren’t very tasty.
Warm, clean and inviting hotel near the slopes and Happo. Rooms are spacious and warm. The onsen is amazing. Ski lockers are easy to access. Breakfast has great variety and perfect. Such a lovely place to stay when going to Hakuba. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. This is our 3rd year in a row staying and it is always perfect.
Evening buffet was only just okay. They could mix up the nights to something different as was easier to stay in some nights. The indoor washing area of the main onsen could be deep cleaned a little better. They could offer espresso coffee (for a fee). Hotel shuttle bus is a little inconvenient as it only runs between 8-10am. Would be better to offer a few other times through the day to drop off.
The check in was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful. The room had an epic view. The onsen, cold plunge and sauna were worth it alone! Really close to the slopes and easy to get around town by walking.
No cons. Was really an awesome experience
Location and presentation of property great, staff very helpful.
Air conditioner wouldn’t go warmer
Very short and easy walking distance to the Nakiyama slope and bus stop as well as the Happo bus terminal. Lots of food options within a few hundred meters and pick up and drop off to the train or bus terminal available when arriving or leaving with your luggage.
Got picked up by the greatest driver on the bus-terminal! It was the best start of our stay. Onsen is just perfect with an indoor and outdoor pool+a fantastic sauna and cold plunge. We spent hours there! A short walk to the ski slopes and shuttle bus. 2027-a new gondola will land very close to the hotel, making it even more perfect! A short walk in to Happo One village with restaurants and shops.
The hotel is a bit old, so the room are a bit cold. The bathrooms are also very small, but if you use the onsen(and you will) and you'll be fine. The drying-room has a limited capacity and could have had more racks for clothes and boots.
