Breakfast items needs to be more elaborate & classy. Variety of food needs to improve.

Pool side was not very clean & we were asked to leave the pool just because it was lightly drizzling. Overall Stay was very comfortable & family enjoyed the services although the main entrance lobby was under maintenance due to which side entry was a bit of hassel.

All personnel from all departments were very cooperative

Overall a good experience, the location of the hotel is great - very convenient for my work. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The front desk works quite slowly, sometimes you will not find any staff, or one staff, who is trying to attend guests and the phone and many tasks simultaneously, so the check in and check out could improve. A choice of pillows would also help.

For nearly three years, I had been planning to experience this legendary property. However, owing to professional commitments the opportunity never materialized. As destiny would have it, this June by the grace of my mentor and boss Mr. Gurung who himself part of opening trailblazer in the journey and legacy of this remarkable property. we were finally blessed with the privilege of staying at Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels, Vadodara. Our boss and his entire team have often shared his treasured memories of Welcomhotel speaking with great affection and admiration. Listening to these inspiring stories made this visit far more than just a hotel stay, it became an emotional journey filled with nostalgia, appreciation and a deeper connection to one of Gujarat's most iconic hospitality destinations. The traditional welcome with elegant stoles, an auspicious tikka and a refreshing welcome beverage immediately made us feel honoured and valued. To our delight we were graciously upgraded to a beautifully appointed suite adding yet another layer of luxury to our experience. The suite was thoughtfully curated with refined amenities an elegant fruit basket and a beautifully crafted welcome cake that made us feel genuinely special. Every detail reflected meticulous care and understated sophistication. After settling in we enjoyed a delightful lunch at the Cambay restaurant. The culinary offerings were exceptional, complemented by warm and intuitive service. Every interaction with the team reflected genuine hospitality and an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. It was a dining experience that beautifully balanced flavor and heartfelt service. The afternoon was spent relaxing with family creating precious memories within the comfort of the luxurious surroundings. Later in the evening, we enjoyed quality time at the swimming pool where the serene ambience provided the perfect setting to unwind and reconnect. As exciting as every moment had been, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly dinner at the legendary Peshawri—an iconic culinary institution that has become synonymous with the finest cuisine of the North-West Frontier. Stepping into Peshawri is like travelling through time. Its rustic architecture, earthy interiors, open tandoors and timeless charm create an atmosphere unlike any other. Watching the culinary masters skillfully prepare each dish over glowing charcoal was a true celebration of authentic craftsmanship. Every dish reflected generations of culinary heritage and perfection. The legendary Dal Bukhara, slow-cooked overnight to velvety perfection, the flavorful Paneer Khurchan, and the majestic culinary were simply unforgettable. Each bite showcased the depth, authenticity and timeless excellence that have made Peshawri a benchmark in Indian gastronomy. Initially, the room given had a garden view but had faulty things, like locker, no warm water. The staff rectified it and helped me move to a better room facing the swimming pool. Food was good and restaurant manager was very cordial. Thankful for free lemonade :))

Welcome drink was not provided, I was told it was only for VIP or people who paid ? I was like I too am paying for the stay! Overall, helpful staff but I did not enjoy the stay.

Location and staff is good

I must admit that I was genuinely disappointed by the condition of the room during my recent stay. As a returning guest, I had a very pleasant experience during my previous visit, which made this experience completely unexpected. Room cleanliness is a fundamental expectation from a hotel of your reputation, and unfortunately, this stay did not meet that standard. I sincerely hope the necessary corrective actions are implemented to ensure no guest has a similar experience in the future.

Varied breakfast including eggs and dousa made on order, Indian and Occidental options, bakery. Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely excellent, in fact also highly rated, a reason to stay at this hotel.

The overall stay was very good and the service from the staffs like Sanjay was extraordinary. I would recommend to stay in this hotel as this is in Prime location. The dinning facility is good, but little congested at peak time.

Stayed in 611 on the night of 10th June 2026. Hotel is in the middle of the town and seems one of the oldest. You do have an old world charm at places and given the overall age, up keep is nice. During the stay I didn’t happen to see any lifts around so yes you will have to take stairs up and down. Room isn’t very large but comfortable - but noise insulation between rooms is poor. The pot seat in my washroom was not tight and moving around. The iron was broken too. Ordered non veg club sandwich for dinner and both the taste and quantity was very nice. Breakfast team is good and the spread ok. Overall, nice and peaceful stay. They also have a permit wine shop inside the premises - adding the image

Welcome hotel by itc hotels alkapuri is wonderful must stay if you are visiting vadodara for first time. It was my first time in vadodara and I really enjoy the stay. Mahak, maly,merina was very kind during my entire stay. Special thanks to Mr. Manthan Bheda for such warm welcome to the hotel.

Excellent stay.

Hotel is located in the heart of the city and therefore everything is available just outside Hotel. Since the property is in existence for about 40 years they have ample space which you don’t get in new Hotels. Check in was smooth, in fact Hotel allowed us early check in, I requested room at upper floor and they obliged ( Hotel has 3 floors- ground +2). We came by car and Hotel had ample parking facility inside the premises. Lobby is spacious and tastefully done . Rooms were also comfortable and interiors were good though you don’t get the feeling of staying in a modern and contemporary room as furniture and interiors are a bit dated. Food is on the expensive side though quality, presentation and taste was good. Breakfast buffet was not very elaborate but quality of food and service was excellent and we enjoyed having breakfast. Hotel has a good swimming pool, though I did not use it but I could see the water to be very clean. Overall, great experience.

The hotel took a pre payment on my credit card when I checked in. It was far higher than the booking price. When the amount was adjusted after checkout I paid much more than anticipated, possibly because of being charged in ZAR instead of INR. I was told at checkout that this advance was optional and I should have been given the option to decline.
