Beautiful rooms with some bathroom basics that you might need. The terrace was lovely and i particularly enjoyed listening to the church bells in the afternoon. Super central but quiet. The hosts are lovely people who will make sure you have the best stay.

Absolute gem of a place. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the charm, the love that the owners proudly pour in to making your stay, a memorable one. Wonderful.

The location could not be better. It is one street back, so you do not hear all the noises from the main touristy street. They’re more spacious, clean and nice. We have a balcony overlooking the street.

Avrei messo il letto della camera singola accanto al muro non al centro, per evitare di sbattere con le gambe e sarebbe rimasto più spazio. E poi l’aria condizionata che purtroppo non lo potevo usare di notte perché ti spara addosso. Ma se cambiare la posizione del letto potrebbe funzionare.

The room was clean and spacy with a walking closet and comfortable bed. There was an exterior shared terasse. It felt very welcoming. Alex the manager was very kind, friendly and informative with always a smile and laugh.

Excellent stay at Casa Provenza, very comfortable room and lovely terrace. Location is great, near to duomo and easy to walk to places.

Accueil charmant, en français. Emplacement hyper central (derrière la place de l’université, à 2 pas du Duomo), belle terrasse bien aménagée pour le petit déjeuner ou se poser après une journée de visite. Literie confortable, choix d’oreillers (ferme et moelleux). Immeuble plus récent que son environnement baroque, bien entretenu, avec ascenseur.

Large, clean, and comfortable room in perfect location near the Duomo. Very quiet. Room opens onto a large, shared balcony overlooking the cathedral dome and the clock tower. Breakfast was excellent and served on the balcony. Antonella, the host, even served her wonderful, homemade lemon cake. She also went above and beyond, calling a taxi to fetch us when we got lost outside the city. Note: don't be put off by the street graffiti, it is typical all over Catania.

Leaving luggage for later pickup after checkout may not be available.

I spent seven nights here, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Antonella and Alex were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Every morning, Antonella served a delicious breakfast and coffee on the charming, atmospheric balcony, and she also recommended great local programs and places to explore nearby. I truly felt that she cared about my experience, while still giving me plenty of space and privacy. The accommodation struck a perfect balance between the comfort of a hotel and the warmth of a local stay. ❤️

A kettle would be great in the room in my opinion, but everything else is really great!

We stayed with my parents and had a wonderful time. Antonella and her husband were very helpful and cared for us. If we're ever in Catania again, we'll stay at Casa Provenza again. The location is fantastic. The breakfast and coffee are excellent.

As others have commented, Alex and Antonella are delightful people. They were very pleasant, hospitable, and helpful with city recommendations. The property is in a great location right around the corner from restaurants, but it was quiet during the night. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. An excellent breakfast is served on the terrace with a pretty view. I would definitely stay at Casa Provenza again.

Zentrales, sauberes und gut aus gestattetes B&B in Catania. Gemütlicher Frühstücksplatz auf dem Balkon. Besonders hervorzuheben sind für mich die Gastgeber: Aufmerksam, Professional und sehr zuvorkommend. Die beiden sind wirklich mit dem Herzen dabei und möchten, dass der Gast sich wohlfühlt. Fantastici come a casa

The room was cozy and nice. There was everything I need. The bathroom was clean. I liked the little balacony! The owners prepared me a lovely breakfast (and very good coffee!) and were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend it and go again if I go to Catania again.

In una posizione centralissima, vicina a Piazza dell'Università e quindi ad un passo dal Duomo di Catania e dall'asse di Via Etnea, una bella sistemazione confortevole, dotata anche di un piccolo terrazzo con vista sulla Cupola del Duomo e sull'Etna dal lato opposto, grazie all'accoglienza e alla simpatia della gestrice Antonella, prodiga di utili consigli per visitare la città e godere dei suoi posti più interessanti.

Breakfast was awesome. Antoinella and Alex were gracious hosts while giving us recommendations on tours and actually booking it for us.

Antonella and Felix are wonderful hosts. They take very good care of their guests and make them feel at home. The apartment is located close to the old town and has a nice terrace.

The bed was a little bit hard.

I really liked this property, nicely located a short walk from the centre of town in a quiet area. The host made sure I knew everything about the property. The outside terrace was very nice for afternoon/evening relaxation with a bottle of wine.

I had a great stay at Casa Provenza. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and there's a shared terrace with a nice view. It's very close to major attractions like Chiesa della Badia di Sant'Agata, Piazza Universita and Via Aetna. There are numerous good restaurants around and many are open all day. And then there's Antonella. What a lovely host! She greets you, walls you through everything, and is always cheery and helpful.

It was a wonderful stay. The location was perfect, and the breakfast was delicious—I was truly satisfied. The staff were very kind and flexible, always willing to help with various things. Even though they were busy with dinner service, they kindly took the time to arrange a taxi to the airport for me. I am deeply grateful. Thank you so much.

Os donos da casa são super atenciosos e simpáticos. O quarto e banheiro são bem confortáveis e com boa estética. Há uma área externa para cada quarto. A localização é muito boa.

A recepção não é 24h, e se a chegada for a partir das 19h, paga-se uma taxa adicional. Há um aviso no booking, mas não estava em destaque, então não sabia e achei que vale a pena destacar isso aqui nos comentários. No meu caso, me programei para chegar antes, mas o trem atrasou. Eles falaram que se eu tivesse avisado antes sobre o problema, que teriam liberado a taxa, mas eu nem sabia que tinha a taxa, pois não tinha lido isso e nunca tinha visto um lugar cobrar por isso. Um erro meu então.

Casa Provenza is very well-located in the center of the city, with lovely views of the Duomo as well as Mt. Etna. Antonella is extremely attentive and friendly, making your stay very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Die Gastgeber haben mich sehr freundlich empfangen und mich gut in alle Gegebenheiten eingewiesen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Vorhanden war nicht nur die Grundausstattung, sondern zusätzlich Utensilien für das Bad, ein Regal mit Büchern in unterschiedlichen Sprachen, Souvenirs, die man erwerben kann und eine sehr schöne Terrasse mit tollem Ausblick. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und standen mir immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Alles in allem habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, they obviously take pride in the business they have built and it shows! Also, the location is great, very centrally located with lots of amenities nearby. Also, their terrace is beautiful, a great place to sit and reflect on the gorgeous city!

Just a small warning for anyone staying in the Margherita Room - the room overall is incredibly spacious, but the shower is tiny! I'm 5'2" and had a difficult time maneuvering in the shower, so if you're taller... best of luck to you! Also, only the most basic toiletries are provided in the room, so if you're traveling light with a limited amount of supplies, just know that you might have to run out and purchase some things!

Fully recommended! The best location you can have, absolute city center. Great approach of the host. They have only couple of rooms, so their approach is really personal, warm. Willing to help, advise, fulfill your every wish.

I loved the location and the terrace was a huge bonus. Amazing views of St Agatha church. Breakfast was served there in the morning which was very special. Antonella is a very caring and attentive host. A really lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed here in May of 2025 and would heartily recommend it to any travelers. The location was superb, convenient to the duomo, piazzas, and restaurants. An elevator took us to the 4th (US 5th) floor location. Our room was meticulously clean, with a comfortable bed, en suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet. A delicious breakfast was cooked and served daily on a balcony with a view of Mt. Etna. Best of all, our hosts, Antonella and Alex, were so very informative and welcoming! They communicated promptly with us via email and WhatsApp regarding the booking details. They gave us excellent recommendations for dining and where to do laundry. Because it was raining, Alex even offered to take our laundry to the laundromat and do it for us (we didn’t accept), and they gave us plastic bags so that the clean laundry would remain dry on the way back. Catania is a beautiful city, and we would strongly recommend the Casa Provenza to any travelers who want to stay there.

The room, though small, was very comfortable and well thought out. It is close to the Duomo and there is a lot of choice of places to eat.

A little difficult to find the entrance, being that it is in a very unassuming building with a high security gate down a back street.

The location was amazing, very central to everywhere you'd want to go in Catania and very walkable location. The breakfast was great as well. Amazing views from the terrace of the basilica to the south and Mt. Etna to the north. We even saw the peak of Mama Etna burning bright red on our final night there! Alex and Antonella, your hosts at Casa Provenza, are also absolutely delightful people. They were very helpful throughout our stay and a joy to chat with every morning. They lent us an umbrella when it was raining, they provided advice on where to get dinner/ go on tours.

Everything was clean and well organized. The place is conveniently located from major tourist attractions and bus stops. Alex & Antonella are great hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. All the recommendations for cafes, sightseeing, etc. were just perfect to make the stay memorable and enjoyable! They were very communicative and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Catania for vacation or stay-cation! It is reasonably priced for such high-quality stay. PS: If you need to work, the wifi works well and I did not face any issues while taking meetings.

The host bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you need. During breakfast each morning, we had wonderful conversations with Antonella about the history of the city as well as information on anything we asked about to see and experience. She is a superb host!

The property was extremely central and convenient for all the places of interest. The room was spotlessly clean and the hosts, Alex and Antonella, could not have been more helpful. The room had a lovely balcony with a table and chairs with a view of the cathedral dome to the left and Mt. Etna to the right.

Lovely B&B right around the corner from the city cathedral. The room was a decent size, and very clean and comfortable. The decor was a little quirky in our room but was charming. Talking of charm, our hosts were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and they did everything to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast on the terrace was also very good and a lovely experience, with a stunning view toward the local church.

This was our first B&B style accommodation so we were a little apprehensive but the reviews were awesome and whey were RIGHT ON. Antonella and Alex made you feel like you had known them for years. Room was immaculate. Antonella's home cooked breakfast was the best. Location was a couple of blocks from the main city square with lot of great restaurants to chose from. Brilliant.antonella was so good. In the city centre so can be a little noisy. Suited me perfect as i wear hearing aids so when they are out can't hear a thing though my wife can.

I couldn’t have asked for better hosts (Antonella and Alex) and room. I felt at home. The location was perfect. 7 min walk to the main bus station. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Great bathroom. The mattress and pillows gave me great sleeps. The hosts anticipate your every need and become familiar with your routine. I decided to extend my stay for a few more nights and make Catania my base because I was so comfortable and happy there. Antonella, was so lovely to chat with every morning over breakfast in my outdoor nook. Breakfast options were plenty. I will miss this place. Hope to be back again and stay at Provenza again. I will miss Antonella and Alex.
