We had a lovely stay at Moss Cottage enjoying the delightful hospitality of Bill. Comfortable room, absolutely scrumptious breakfast, plenty of banter, and easy 20 min walk to town. Especially lovely through the park and along the river. Easily the best place we've stayed in the UK to date.

Bill obviously takes a lot of time and attention to provide a great service. He sat down with us with a cup of tea, cake and maps to run through any questions we had. Lovely touches like home made jam.

We’re not great fans of pre-ordering breakfast and could have done with a slightly larger shower gel but other than that it was all good

Moss Cottage is located within easy walking distance to the central hub of Stratford upon Avon. Our host (Bill) was excellent and ensured our stay met expectations. The room was very comfortable with all the amenities we required. Breakfast was very good and we had an enjoyable short stay.

The property was easy to access and offered on site parking at the front on the drive.Our host Bill was very welcoming and easy to talk to upon arrival and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was served promptly at time selected and was varied with options to choose from. The property location is a short direct route in walking distance to Stratford-upon-Avon which is seeped with Shakespearian history, has plenty of restaurants and shops as well as the RSC theatre (purpose of our visit) on the riverside. A lovely property in a quaint town.

Nothing personally although some may find it dated.However if you overlook this for the amount of stuff on offer you will realise it is a top place to stay.

Everything was great. The room was spacious, cozy and really clean. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the host, Bill, is the greatest host you can meet, kind and helpful. It was like visiting a good friend.

La posizione è lievemente decentrata ma in 20 minuti a piedi si è in centro. Va considerato se si hanno problemi motori.

We were made very welcome by Bill who was always very helpful and ,indeed, seemed delighted to have us staying. The rooms we had were very comfortable with good size en-suites. Breakfast was excellent, with home-made marmalade.

It's a 25 minute walk to the theatres and the middle of Stratford, but in the fine hot weather we had this wasn't really a problem.

Good location, about a 20-minute walk to the centre of Stratford. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. With the hot weather, having a fan in the room was certainly appreciated. Excellent breakfast, including home-made jams and marmalade. Owner Bill was very friendly and had lots of helpful suggestions. Will certainly seek to stay here again if I ever return to Stratford.

We received a very warm welcome from our host Bill. The cup of tea on arrival was a nice touch and Bill is a fountain of local knowledge. The centre of is only a short walk and the room was very clean and comfortable with a fan. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams and bread to complement the full breakfast. We highly recommend and will hopefully visit again.

Bill, the host, was so accommodating allowing us to check in early and providing maps and guidance for Stratford upon Avon. Our room was great with plenty of drawers and cupboard space. Water was provided and there was plenty of coffee/tea/milk/biscuits which were replenished daily. The en suite was good with a really efficient shower. Bill cooks a great breakfast and we enjoyed the homemade preserves so much we bought some to take home. This will definitely be our go to place next time we are in the area.

Situated in a quiet location a reasonably short walk from the town centre, the property was clean and well maintained, with excellent facilities and lovely, friendly and very helpful owner. I was able to have a full, home-cooked vegan breakfast, while my non-vegan friend loved her traditional version

The cottage is essentially a private house, three upper rooms of which turned into spacious comfortable guest bedrooms and a front room downstairs was made into cozy breakfast room. The owner Bill was absolutely fantastic in his friendliness and helpfulness. Apart from being a wonderful host, he also happy to talk everything Stratford-upon-Avon: from RSC productions to local history. The room, in addition to all usual hotel amenities (towels, toiletry, range of cushions), includes water bottle, kettle, variety of tea-coffee-chocolate sachets and some biscuits.

The cottage faces busy road, so traffic does not fully stop even at night. Windows, while muting the sound, does not fully vanquish it. Hot water in the shower is somewhat erratic and a bit difficult to manage. But all of this is minor things compared to the comfortable room and wonderful owner.

Parking was a bit tight. Rooms were hot during a europe-wide heat wave. Fans were available, but we had to wait for night for cooler air. This made it difficult to sleep.

Absolut wunderbare Unterkunft, 10/10. Die Gastgeber super lieb, freundlich und haben uns mit Shakespeare- und City-Tipps versorgt. Ich hatte vorab mitgeteilt, dass ich mich glutenfrei (Zöliakie) ernähren muss - prompt gab es glutenfreie Kekse im Zimmer. Das Frühstück war super - English Breakfast, lecker Granola mit Yoghurt- alles glutenfrei. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Unterkunft einfach nur schön. Eine tolle Location, man war in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto und ca. 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt. Auf unserem Südengland-Trip war diese Unterkunft definitiv unser Favorit :)

Bill, who runs Moss Cottage, was absolutely charming, incredibly thoughtful and made the stay a joy. The accommodation itself was clean, spacious with it's own en-suite and in walking distance from the centre of Stratford. Finally, the price was exceptional! I couldn't recommend this place highly enough and I absolutely will be staying there again when I'm next in Stratford. Thank you so, so much Bill!

The hosts were very helpful, providing maps and advice about where to eat and where to visit. Breakfast was great, and included delicious homemade jams. The bed was comfortable and there was a big bathroom. The location was quiet.

The breakfast was delicious, with various choices. Home made Greek yoghurt with Granola, a choice of cereals, any version of a cooked breakfast, of your choice and finally toast with a variety of Peter's home made exceptional marmalade. A leisurely 20 min walk into the town centre.

The host was so welcoming and a lot of thought had gone into making the room and the stay an excellent one. Complimentary bottled water, a tray with a range of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Also a cup of tea made for us on arrival by our host and advice on the best walking route into Stratford plus a lovely chat. Plenty of choice in the excellent breakfast and homemade jams.

There was nothing we didn't like. It was perfect for us. Maybe, as we came from Stratford side and Sat Nav was a little patchy, a couple of landmarks to look out for to help locating No 61 on a long road would have been useful. However this really was a tiny detail in a lovely stay.

Moss Cottage was perfect for our one night stay. Bill's communication was great. We asked to drop the car off earlier and he was happy to accommodate. He even had the room ready so we could spruce ourselves before heading out to a birthday lunch. The room was spotless and really comfy. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent.

The host obviously enjoys looking after his guests. My room was homely and very comfortable and the cottage is a pleasant walking distance from all the sights in town. I highly recommend a stay at this accommodation.

Perfekte Lage zur Erkundung von Stratford. Wir konnten alles zu Fuß erreichen. Überaus freundlicher Gastgeber, der uns unser Frühstück selbst mit viel Liebe zubereitet hat. Unter anderem selbstgemachte Marmelade auf selbstgemachtem Toast und frisches Rührei. Sehr sauber, ruhig und einfach toll! Klare Empfehlung!

Warmly welcomed, comfortable bed and the most delicious breakfast. We were given information on where to go and what to see and excellent stories about Stratford’s past. I would highly recommend staying here and I look forward to visiting again next time we come up to the RSC.

Very good pub on the way into town The Bull and the Dirty Duck near the theatre. Stratford Racecourse just down the road. We shall stay again.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Moss Cottage while visiting the RSC. We were greeted with tea and cake, and had a warm and comfy room. Parking right outside, and SOA within walking distance, as is The Bell at Shottery, where we ate on the Friday. Excellent breakfast. Handy little shop opposite. Very welcoming host, who supplied us with leaflets and RSC programmes to read.
