Courtyard by Marriott St. Augustine Beach

Loved the lounging area, we had people over for drinks and it was perfect . The big tv area was also nice.

Nothing in the bar was open. No drinks or coffee until. 5:00. Breakfast in morning but menu was confusing, some morning breakfast item didn’t come till late afternoon. No coffee pot in lobby and pot in rooms were pitiful!

I like the location. It’s a very short walk to the beach. And there was plenty of parking.

Only one of the electrical outlets in the room worked. This made it very difficult to charge our phones. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that did not have clock. The lighting in the room is really bad. You can’t hardly even see to put your makeup on or anything. I don’t like that the rooms are not cleaned every day or at least fresh towels given every day. When you were staying at a beach, you need extra towels. The room itself was not what I would expect of a Marriott. I’ve stayed at many Marriott’s, this one kind of felt low budget.

Run down, needs a big time renovation. parking lot access doors didn't work. Front desk staff didn't seen like they genuinely cared. A lady at night did though. Could see that cleaning staff were trying to keep up with their tasks but appeared overwhelmed. Out of 7 Marriott properties we stayed in on vacation, this fell far below Marriott standards and below expectations. Would not prefer to stay here again. shower dispensers ripped off the wall. Rooms in desperate need of maintenance. Ice machine not working. Ownership and management, take notice. Lots of bad reviews. Location was great.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. When I went to step in the shower/tub, I saw a gross mess on the side of the tub. We called the front desk & were told someone would come right away. 30 minutes later, a lady showed up with 2 rags in her hand, but no cleaner (maybe it was already on the rags??). After maybe 2 minutes, she came out & said she’d be right back, but she never returned. We finally called the front desk & asked when she was coming back, which is when we were informed that it was normal wear & tear, so there was nothing to be done. We replied that it would’ve been nice for someone to tell us this instead of us wondering when she would be back because wasted our precious vacation time waiting. Another housekeeper showed up, looked at it, and said that it was indeed just wear and tear. After I looked at it closer, I could see that it was rust that has run down & streaked the side, & the enamel is chipping off. Who would want to bathe their child in a tub like that?? Evidently, Marriott thinks their customers don’t mind paying almost $200 per night for a tub that looks gross. They also need to pay more attention when cleaning since there was a wiffle ball under the foot of the bed. The other annoyance was only having one person at the front desk. When we checked in, it took way longer than it should’ve because only one person was working & she kept answering the phone. There was a steady stream of guests who needed pool towels & other things which could’ve easily been taken care if by having another front desk clerk. This place needs a new manager!

Went through 3 rooms and all the bathrooms had mold. Eventually licked one with least amount and stayed in it. Staff seemed annoyed i even brought it to their attention. Additionally everything is an extra cost at this location, if it weren’t for driving all day and there was another available hotel i would have booked elsewhere.

My stay was only one night.

Staff was very friendly. I valued having Starbucks coffee close by in the lobby. Not sure of the bar hours but they seemed short. We thought fireworks would be at the pier which is why we chose the property. Of course we learned at check in that they were happening more in town. We navigated over there and traffic was abysmal. Police did not keep traffic flows going crisply ( my wife is former cop). We are not public pool people but it seemed like tourists and kiddies enjoyed it. Have to add that the shower design was very practical!

Bathroom sink faucet was set weirdly, it kept hitting the mirror when we turned water on.

I didn't know about paying for parking & other fees that were added. My stay was $30 more than I anticipated based on cost of the room, taxes & fees given to me by Booking.com. That's the only negative thing. I will check the cost more thoroughly next time. I have stayed here at least 4 times & will again. This is the first time I was taken by surprise.

We have stayed at this location previously with no issues. This time we were assigned a room where broken glass was present in front of the room door and inside the room. We asked for someone to remove the glass and waited for fifteen minutes. No one showed so we went back to the front desk to get a new room. They moved us to a clean room and said they would remove the parking charges. When we checked out the next day, the charges were not removed, but said they would review our request for removal of parking with a manager. We did not request the removal of the charges, they offered that to us. Our final folio just came and the parking was not removed. Also, our travel partners who did not have a car were charged parking, even after asking to remove their parking charge. VERY POOR management. Let the buyer beware.

Accessibility to the beach wasn't as good as I had hoped . DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY A PARKING FEE IS CHARGED WHEN I CHOOSE TO GIVE MY BUSINESS TO THE ESTABLISHMENT! Our key was disabled half an hour prior to check-out. I do not understand why I have to pay for incidentals even though the extra amount is returned....at some point .

Best hotel staff, facility and location at St. Augustine beach. 11th summer vacation in a row there for my family (multiple rooms). We are always treated like wanted-special guest, and this hotel really knows what it means to take care of loyalty program members (without us asking). General Manager Scott Hill is the "Best in the Business" in taking care of our traveling experiences. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The hotel recently had some upgrades to rooms and facility that really make it pop. This hotel team knows how to make us feel like this is truly our second home. And finally, the best (top 25 in U.S) hamburger joint and ice cream shops are across the street. Hotel to beach walk in only 5 minutes. Always a little sad to leave, but there's always next year.

In spite of its beautiful location and the building itself, spending three nights here was the most disappointing experience we have had in a hotel in 30 years. Washing machine and laundry broken down. The elevator was not working. They shut down everyone’s water one day to repair a plumbing problem. They have no coffee in the lobby at all unless you want to buy coffee for around $5! No complimentary breakfast! We understood there were few microwaves, but none in the rooms, only a small refrigerator. Room service has been very slow and the staff is told not to offer any help but we have to ask for everything. One day we had a employee come to our room to take out trash. He asked us to bring it to the door! . I would never stay in this one again nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. The rooms are nice but the Staff and Service are very lackadaisical. Apparently nothing is done here unless we “request it.” it was our job do that. Sadly, very disappointed in Marriot!

Rooms were clean and cleaning staff friendly. Front desk staff were neither friendly nor accommodating. They were clearly bothered when I asked for a different room (room on a higher floor) than what they offered me. Instead of being proactive and offering to accommodate my request, they reluctantly contacted housekeeping (I had to ask them to do so) to see what was available on a higher floor. When I wrote up my review (email sent out by Marriott), the assistant manager emailed me and proceeded to tell me what I did wrong in securing the room I wanted.

I’m sad to leave this review because I don’t have much to say that is good about this hotel. Front desk staff were unapproachable and rude- not helpful in any way. Only found out that I had to pay $15 per day to park after we checked out. Maybe I was told this upon check in but front desk girl did not speak clear English. I don’t remember seeing this charge on the website when making reservations. The pillows are horrible- the mattress sinks in the middle. There are no upgrades in this hotel for elite status members. No complimentary breakfasts. The customer service at the bistro was questionable. The cook however made up for that being personable and nice. Cleanliness of hallways was not great. Marriott Bonvoy members pay a lot to be of an elite status and expect a certain level of quality during their stays- this hotel does not live up to the quality at all sadly. Will not be staying here ever again.

This Courtyard is in a great location at St.Augustine Beach, just steps away and across the street from the beach. The hotel atmosphere is average and the employees are extremely helpful and friendly. A lot about the hotel seems outdated, like no microwave ovens in each room, also every other day housekeeping. There is ample parking and many restaurants nearby within walking distance. This hotel will do in a pinch but is one of a few in the same category that offer better amenities.

I was not happy at check-in to be informed there would be a $15 per day parking fee. As Marriott Bonvoy members and having stayed here several times in the past, that was new to me and it was not easily found in their hotel description. In addition, they have a very small coffee maker in the room and no microwave. This may not be a big deal had they had a complementary breakfast or at least coffee in the lobby and the bistro in the hotel is way overpriced. There are several places within walking distance where you can purchase breakfast. The room was standard and looking worn. The pool is not heated and the water was very cold. In the future, we will definitely look elsewhere to stay when visiting St Augustine.

My 4 day stay went well. The facility was clean and located in a great spot. We utilized the amenities such as the pool and ice machine. I love the layout of the lobby, nice area for my family to hang out in.

My refrigerator did not get that cold. Also, the room temperature was inconsistent throughout the night.

Very clean and well appointed room. Quiet in spite of hotel being sold out so we slept well! Short walk to the beach and plenty of places to eat within walking distance. There was a pool but we chose the beach. It looked small but nice spot if you had little ones and wanted to spend some time in the pool. Why not a higher rating? First, housekeeping is every other day unless requested. This would have been wonderful to know upon checking in. Second, I am a big coffee morning coffee drinker and since we had no house cleaning, the coffee wasn't replenished . No biggie but when I went to the front desk they only had three pods they could give to me. Last, there is a daily 15$ fee for parking that I didn't see on their web page for the hotel. Maybe I missed it? Maybe it's buried in fine print or not listed at all, but I didn't like the surprise fee.

It’s clean, that’s the only positive I have. The “hospitality” staff are NOT hospitable. They are RUDE and not helpful at all. The TV streaming does not work and the front desk lady said “I work here, I don’t watch TV, so I have no idea. But Netflix doesn’t work in this hotel.”

A great location, close to the beach. The check in staff were very rude and unapproachable. Zero acknowledgement of Marriott status, no upgrade, no late check out despite it being a guaranteed benefit. Doesn’t deserve the Marriott badge. The pool is not heated and is too cold to swim in. Room wasn’t very clear, large hairs in bathroom. Would not stay here again.
