Bo Kamer Guesthouse

The room and bed were very big, with a closet and dressing table, which came in handy. The bathroom facilities were also convenient and spacious. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was neat and clean.

The bed was a little hard for comfort. Some dogs in the neighborhood barked during the night, but I don't think you can hold that against the property owners. The room is painted rather dark; I think a lighter colour might change the feel of the room completely.

Our room was warm and comfortable, a big factor during very cold weather. Our parking was very conveniently situated and an extra plug was provided to keep our travel fridge cold overnight.

Welcoming and comfortable

I liked that the host showed me the room and it had a heater and electric blanket and there was an undercover parking for my vehicle which helped with the overnight frost.

I didn't like that there is no breakfast included in the price which would have made a difference in my scoring.

Everything was great

Rooms could do better with an Aircon. The wall heater used for winter is not sufficient in warming the room. Ermelo is freezing! Located on a very busy main road which has endless traffic and large trucks. So it’s very noisy.

Location, cleanliness and room size

Traffic

I liked that you were able to accommodate 3 people each with their own single bed to sleep on. Bedding was white and clean. Staff was friendly.

The shower was an issue. It was a struggle to get a warm shower, the warm water doesn't even last long enough just to soap and rinse, not even trying to wash hair yet. It was cold and uncomfortable. After my daugher's shower turned cold and didn't warm again I did contact reception, they came to check it looked like the water warmed, but when I showered, after a few minutes the warm water dissapears again. It was a cold evening as well so thatvwas really unpleasant. I spoke to the people next door the next day, and they said 1 showered fine, but the second person also struggled with the water turning cold. The drain also clogged up, did report to reception, and said they will only be able to fix it the next day. The door as very big gaps where a lot of wind and cold comes in - I had to close the gaps with towels. The facilities are good, but a microwave in the room is really recommended. It is next to a main road so during the evening there is some road noice. It the shower issue can be fixed, I would have give a much better rating.

It was safe Host was very responsive Kitchen was well equipped Tea, coffee, sugar & milk were highly appreciated

* There was no safe available for valuables. * Staff entered the accommodation without prior notice. * The bedroom cupboards and shelves were quite dirty and covered in red construction dust. * The shower was warm, but never properly hot. * In the morning, we could not open the curtains without being fully visible from the parking area, as there were no net or lace curtains for privacy. * All the pillows were very thick and firm, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. * Some more carpets in winter time would have been appreciated * a heater in the living area would have been more comfortable

Easy to find

The kettle was a bit dusty,

The service was good, excellent information sharing.

Very happy with the service

Great first impression, neatness and friendliness of staff.

Location, main road on your doorstep, Noisey.

Good facilities, friendly staff, nice resources.

The neighbours were quite noisy and the passing trucks were very loud. It would have also been nice if some complimentary shampoo's were provided since I left mine at home.

The receptionist was very friendly, I liked the room and it was very clean. The place is very neat and beautiful. It just the cars on the main road was a bit distrusting which maybe with aircon sounds can help eliminate it.

Nothing with the facilities just the outside cars on the main road

Perfect place for resting overnight - have electrical blankets and wall heater to make the place more comfortable in this cold weather!

All perfect

The bed, looked good but too hard, it was like sleeping on a rock, I woke up extra tired. the chair too low and awkward. the bench instead of a couch if funny.

TV, toilet paper, tea station

It was clean and for the purpose of the place it is perfect

All was good.

Excellent guesthouse, only all the trucks passing

Claudia the lady at the front desk was excellent and very friendly. Going above and beyond

Lovely garden, good rate, functional room.

Traffic in the main road is very loud, people were walking past early morning making a noise and a person hooted a few times by the main gate. Hardly slept. A lot of this is out of the control of the hosts, just sharing the experience.

Beautifully presented room, exceptionally clean.

It is in town, but coming from a week in the Drakensburg the traffic noise was a little loud. I guess most would not notice. The benefits far outweigh this though.

Terrible location on the R33 which was not disclosed.

The dinner for R250 a head was an embarrassment ! I had to admit to my husband what it cost! As a committed Christian I found your brochure very disturbing !It is full of fines , threats and rules , nobody will help you ! leave something here , yay! we will make more money , we won't help you ! Where is THE LOVE , where is the GRACE ?

Excellent security. Nice staff, decent breakfast.

Located on noisy street but quiet after 10pm. Shower and bathroom need updating. Beds good.

Nice, confortable room, friendly check in.

We enjoyed our one night stay in Bo Kamer. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

The noise from the neighbors was the only negative to our stay

1st time staying over in Ermelo and i made the right choice .
