Fire place wasn’t working - we specifically booked for this and should have been told prior to arriving as we came in winter. Heated blankets didn’t work in bedroom closest to kitchen. Issues with the TV.

A bit difficult to find initially. The sign was small, we found the house , but weren't convinced if it's the right one. If they put a sign on the door, it will help.

Reviewed Sep 30, 2025Tree tops was stunning! Beautiful location set into the bush but convenient to town. Was clean and tidy and had a full kitchen for convenience. The hot tubs in the bush were a perfect idea for the setting!
Only thing I could fault was there is only one toilet and with 5 of us staying it was a line up situation. But cannot fault anything else!

The trees made you feel secluded although you were in a caravan park, no noise issues, but did not realise this when booking.

Reviewed Sep 23, 2024Beautiful, exceptionally clean, spacious 3 bedroom house. We loved the spa baths out the back and the beds were so comfortable. Elliot went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for not only the accommodation but information wise on the surrounding areas. When travelling to a country for the first time insider knowledge on the area is extremely helpful.

For such a large house it was really poorly equipped. The kitchen had minimal equipment - no serving ware at all, not even a salad bowl! And the barbecue is on its last legs. So self catering is not easy. Also, most importantly and despite numerous previous reviews requesting this, absolutely no indoor clothes drying. Not even a drying rack. For a place like Franz Josef, with its 4m of annual rainfall, to ask renters to rely on an outside washing line is just laughable. We ended up having to trek down to the laundromat and use the tumble dryers there which, when you’re paying a pretty stiff nightly rate for a private rental, is not good enough.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2022Loved the outdoor baths, the whole place was emaculate. Quiet location 5 mins walk to town and 2 mins to the heli hike depot! Great and luxurious place to relax and catch up on washing 3 weeks into our 7 week campervan tour!
Very minor but could have done with a drying rack for indoors washing drying in poor weather. We were able to use the line outside but not everyone will. Instructions for the appliance next to the washing machine would be helpful for foreigners (we're from the UK and have never seen this before). The BBQ struggled to get going (fully light) but maybe that was user error 😅 got there in the end.

Reviewed Dec 3, 2022It was really comfortable and easy to relax. The weather wasn't on our side so having a nice place to unwind was good. Plenty of space. The heater did an amazing job of keeping the place lovely and warm. Despite being located within the campervan park we felt completely isolated.
The only real issue we probably had was just trying to get all our washing dried as there ass nowhere to hang it up indoors once dried. There was a clothes line outside but it was raining the whole time. There is a laundromat with a dryer which would we would have used if we'd been unable to get things dry.
