The hotel is near the sea, you can literally walk to the beach and you can see it from your room. The rooms are amazing, very big and with everything you may need. The hotel is a little old, but they have every modern necessity covered and the traditional feel actually adds up to it. The staff is very kind and tries to help with everything. There is a shuttle bus to go to the station and the road to go to the hotel from the station itself is all downward, so you can easily go to the place without a car. The onsen is a little on the small side and old fashioned, but the view is amazing.

They provide you with some info on places to eat in the area but most of them actually require a car to reach. But there are some places nearby that are pretty good, so it's not really a downside.

Friendly staffs. They help us to park our car into their car park. Comfortable hot spring. Spacious guest room.

Dated facilities. Outdoor hot spring is too small. Air quality inside our room is not good so I got allergies.

海辺の宿泊では、我が家で最多の旅館。　子供が小さい時からお世話になってました。かれこれ20年以上。　　プールが閉鎖れてしまったのは凄く残念です。　海岸から、階段を登ってプールに至るロケーションの味わいは他の旅館にはない味わいでした。　 このご時世。経費節減の大変さ、ご苦労の跡が伺えます。　存続、ご発展を祈ってております。

位置不错 靠海边 干净

首先，个人觉得员工的态度很对酒店的印象起了很关键性的作用，也很影响出游的心情。办理入住的时候，酒店的当地员工很耐心的给讲核对资料，当知道我是中国人的时候，还跟贴心的说，等一下会有一位中国同事会给你讲解的。听到后给酒店点赞👍 然后，这位中国女同事的态度却让我对酒店的的所有好感都下降⬇️一开始，她很冷漠的拿出一只纸，问我看到过没，然后一条条的读出来，我问到，能否定今晚的怀石料理的时候，她直接说：不能！不添加一点解释为什么，说话简单了断。 最令我意外的是第二天打电话来提醒10点退房，问我是不是要酒店的车送回地铁站的时候，我只是询问一句：最晚是11点的吗？她直接来一句 ：“我可没说过。”感觉要骂架了 。 酒店的初心是好的，但是如果是碰到这种员工提供服务价值的话，我下次是不会再选择入住的。

景色确实好，没有照骗，提供的接送服务也好，员工服务态度好。泡汤池子不错。

在booking上不看消息联系困难，如果自己去酒店比较麻烦，晚上热川走夜路有些恐怖。

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the views overlooking the sea were stunning. My favourite part was the public onsen, which had an incredible view from the 4th floor where you could watch the sunrise.

The room is Japanese style. Less crowd. We can enjoy the hot spring by ourselves.

The mattress is not thick enough for us to sleep comfortably. Besides, we were requested to pay 10,000 yen per night per kid as we booked a room for 4 pax even though we had a confirmation from the ryokan that we reserved a room for 4 pax. So end up I paid a double cost for a room.

What a gem of a find! FIrstly, Atagakawan staff was very helpful and friendly. Next the room was delightful and having a view facing the ocean was great. We slept with the calming sounds of ocean waves. And there were various options for the onsen, from private baths to the standard public ones. Would recommend those who wish for a relaxing stay to consider this place. I would definitely stay here again.

The beautiful ocean view is nice.

The rooms are super old, even if you don’t see it on the tatami, which was pretty worn out, the carpet around the table next to the ocean view was very filthy. The air conditioner even though we didn’t use it, was completely filled with mold to the point that parts of the wall around it had mold on it. The shower pressure wasn’t good. Early March, it’s not beach season, the price was completely unreasonable for what you get.

Welcoming and attentive stuff, beautiful location, private onsens, and delicious traditional breakfast made our stay unforgettable!

직원들이 체크인 부터 아웃까지 세심하게 살펴주고 발렛까지 해주셨습니다. 방이 넓고 다다미지만 침대가 있어 편하게 잘 수 있었고 일출도 볼 수 있습니다. 온천 시설도 붐비지 앓고 만족스러웠습니다.

Das Hotel hat mich leider enttäuscht. Für über 200 € pro Nacht erwarte ich deutlich mehr. Die Zimmer und öffentlichen Bereiche sind renovierungsbedürftig, und es mangelt spürbar an Sauberkeit. Preis und Leistung stehen hier in keinem Verhältnis.

Sehr großes Zimmer mit Blick aufs Meer vom Bett aus. Sehr zuvorkommende Mitarbeiter.

An manchen Stellen wäre eine Renovierung gut.

We weren't able to get the dinner included due to limited availability.

Current condition of the hotel is much much worse than the photos in the property listing. Aside from the sea view, the property was in poor condition. The outdoor pool of the onsen was nice being able to hear the waves crashing on the shore. Neighborhood is really sad with many boarded up hotels and almost no restaurants.

The room has a beautiful ocean view and the staff were super nice. However, it would benefit from deep cleaning/dusting.

The staff was friendly, and although the hotel was a bit old, it was clean and well-maintained, so there were no inconveniences. The ocean view from the room and open-air hot spring in the large public bath was truly wonderful. The only downside was that the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, but overall, it was an accommodation I would love to visit again.

The view is breathtaking being seaside! The private onsens were spacious and perfect for those with tattoos and couples. The in-room Japanese dinner and breakfast were amazing and delicious. The staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming too.

The ryokan provides shuttle service to and from the train station but only for a certain timing. The staff are friendly and warm and they also have Chinese speaking staff to attend to us. The full sea view from the ryokan and the beach just at the door step were cool.

The ryokan is certainly showing its age and some of the wallpaper in the room look dirty and stained. It doesn’t match the great reviews I came across prior to booking.

Rooms are a little old and the location is a little out of the way, but the seaside views are spectacular. Public and private onsen with foot baths around the streets make relaxing here very convenient. Extremely welcoming and friendly staff who can speak Japanese/English/Mandarin.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a wonderful view. It's a little out of the way, but they provide free shuttle service to and from the closest train station. The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful and attentive.

The outdoor public Onsen had a lovely view of the beach. The room too had a great view of the beach. Having POLA in all the bathrooms was a nice touch.

There were stains on the wall and the inner side of the wardrobe. The top of the coffee table was damaged, and the table in the room was dirty. The facilities are outdated and require upgrades.

An absolutely excellent ryokan. The sea view was breathtaking with spacious sitting area to view it from. The room was also spacious, though a bit dated. However that's to be expected in a ryokan. They had private onsens for an extra 2000 yen but I never made use of them. The public onsens were large and spacious with indoor and outdoor onsens. Men were on the 5th floor while women were on the 6th floor. The outdoor onsens gave a view of the ocean. The rooms had plenty of provided amenities, though I wish there was an extra towel or two. The beds were comfortable as well. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were spectacular and featured a wide variety of dishes. A shuttle to and from the station was provided, but it was only about a 5-8 minute walk from the station to the ryokan anyways and it was all downhill. Izu-atagawa station made it easy to go to the izu pennisula and Atami.

I had serious issues with the wifi in my room. Most of the time it didn't work and I had to use data on my phone, which wasn't very good due to the location of the ryokan.

This hotel is close to the station and to the beach to take a nice stroll. The view of the sea from the room was great. Breakfast was amazing!

The facility is quite dated. Also, the hallways are open to the outside and anybody can access and walk around freely. This gave a sense of lacking security, especially when returning from the onsen.

I like the dinner, although it is quite expensive the service and food quality is super good! The staff is very lovely, even though they are not good at speaking in English, they will help you using different methods.

I hope it has a longer check-in time, 3 pm-5 pm is quite a rush for travelers who take trains to come... the train system is not so good because it is not in a big city like Tokyo.

Bad smell of cold cigarette in the room. Extra fees and taxes to pay on top of the booking for baby mastress and onsen (that we did not have time to even use) that were not announced at the booking. Staff a bit stressful on the check out timing: at 10am sharp, as we were about going down to check out, we both received a phone call from the reception with a tough tone of voice and a staff rang at the door at the same time to kick us out. Its is stressful for the family, especially when you have a baby boy.

The view from the room was amazing when we arrived in the afternoon. The onsen on the 4th floor has free usage and is great and it has both internal and external parts to enjoy. The traditional breakfast was good and contained local specialties too. There were free buses going to the railway station regularly in the morning. The staff tries their best to help your stay to be as pleasant as possible. The beach is in the front of the hotel.

Morning sunshine is directly to the room and if you do not use air conditioner (or forget to use / forget to close the separating boards) then the morning could be very hot in the room. Also we felt the dinner cost was very expensive. The building and facilities felt like it was designed in the 60's (they are clean and working but old designs). No restaurant in the hotel but only breakfast or dinner served in the room, so you cannot have a bigger group to enjoy together a meal (max. 4 person).
