Aydin & all his staff were really friendly & helpful. The breakfast & restaurant on the top floor was open air & had amazing views & Paul was really friendly. Location was fantastic, short walk to everywhere

location was good as well as staff everyone was really nice - stayed there with my friend (2 girls) so safety was a big thing for us and it exceeded our expectations. One thing i would want them to improve is just their breakfast everything else was great.

We absolutely LOVED our stay. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL and perched on a hill. From our room windows, we could look at the Sea of Marmara and see across to the Asian side of Turkiye. Our room was beautifully decorated and just lovely. Breakfast was included and provided at their rooftop restaurant. The rooftop restaurant has SWEEPING views of the ocean and Istanbul (including the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque). It is truly stunning. We also had a great dinner there. It was incredible to watch ships line up to go thru the Bosphorous as the sun is setting. Staff-wise, we met most of the managers and the staff. GREAT, GREAT people. All were incredibly welcoming, kind and gracious hosts. They could not have been any more warm and welcoming... We particularly enjoyed talking with Aydin :-). We can't wait to come back! Also, the hotel is perfectly located--right between the Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque. Literally, a 5 minute walk to each. It is also built on the ruins of an ancient palace/fortress. Very cool to see the ruins of the ancient fortress gate out our window. STRONGLY recommend!!!

Staff was really nice and room was clean.

Location was a bit bad. I don't know if this is all of Istanbul is like this but as soon as we left the doors of the hotel we were being harassed by salesmen.

The hotel is in the heart of Sulthanahmet, within a short walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Cagaloglu Hammam and many top restaurants. The rooftop restaurant offers sweeping views of the Blue Mosque the Bosporus and the Asian side. There is a very good breakfast buffet. The elevator works fine. Our room on the fourth floor had a terrace with a partial view of the Bosporus and a retractable awning, which was handy because it was very sunny and hot during our visit. The staff, in general were very friendly and helpful. We used them to arrange our airport transfers.

My partner has mobility issues so we take Uber sometimes. Due to the limited traffic in the old city Uber couldn't pick up at the hotel. We had to walk to the corner and down a block for the pickup.

L'ho scelto soprattutto in base alle recensioni relative alla pulizia - ed è davvero ottima - ma ho apprezzato anche le stanze ampie, tutte con comodo terrazzino e i materassi che sembrano nuovi, la terrazza per la colazione, la posizione comodissima (centralissima ma tranquilla), la gentilezza e il sorriso di tutto lo staff. Un hotel che consiglierei e dove ritornare.

Good breakfast. So many choices.

The location is amazing, 5 mins from Aya Sophia and a few more mins from the Blue Mosque. The Sultan Ahmet tramline is about 10 mins walk away and is a gateway for travelling all around the city - and is relatively cheap. The staff are really nice and down to earth... the views from the roof terrace is great - brilliant view of Sultan Ahmed, Aya Sofia and the vessels sailing along the Bosphorus...

It is very expensive for what you get - however the room is comfortable. But I believe this is pretty much Istanbul - it is an expensive city!

Stayed for 4 nights in a corner room facing the sea. Worth it! Views are incredible. Comfortable bed, clean and very pleasant. Architectural post in the room made it a bit awkward but still enjoyed the room and balcony. Excellent and helpful staff. Loved the breakfast- one of my favorite things about Magnara. So much to choose from. Ate at the restaurant twice for dinner. An oasis after bustling days. Views of Blue Mosque and rooftops is just breathtaking. Highly recommend.

It was quite the perfect location. Terrific views of the water, Haugh Sophia & Blue Mosques from the rooftop. A block and a half from the park, fountain, and lots of places to eat. Very attentive staff. Impressive food. I would stay again.

We were there the first week they engaged the AC for the season. They had a circuit breaker issue that kept tripping off the AC. Unfortunately, they were unable to have it serviced during our week stay. It was a situation that was really no ones fault, I assume. Hopefully it is not always an issue.

We visited Istanbul for the first time and chose The Magnaura Palace Hotel as our base in the older section of Istanbul. Absolutely the correct decision. Once you get oriented to the area you realize the hotel is perfectly located. And the hotel is charming, comfortable and the team are great. Our room had a small balcony with a view to the Bosphorus=great. The dining area had wonderful views as well. All in, a special place to stay in Istanbul.

Die Lage ist Spitze, die Blaue Moschee und die Hagia Sophia praktisch ums Eck, viele andere Sehenswürdigkeiten in fußläufiger Entfernung und die nächste Tramstation auch nicht weit weg. Das Restaurant auf der Dachterrasse sowie der Frühstücksraum bieten eine traumhafte Aussicht über den Bosporus und lassen auch kulinarisch keine Wünsche offen.Das Personal war durchwegs sehr sehr freundlich, wobei Nursi an der Rezeption mit seinen ausgezeichneten Englischkenntnissen als ganz besonders hilfsbereit und herzlich hervorzuheben ist. Ihm verdanken wir viele nützliche Tipps und Reservierungen!

Das Zimmer war recht klein, eine Garderobe und mehr Ablagefläche im Bad wären fein gewesen.

Posizione ottima ! Pulizia decisamente soddisfacente. Colazione ovviamente non tipica italiana ma devo dire ampia , dolci tipici e tanto salato. Staff disponibile ed educato.

Ristorante più che buono! Peccato che sui costi ci giocano un po'. Espresso 7 euro mi sembra un tantino esagerato , offrono il dolce ma alla fine te lo paghi . Però camerieri attenti

Отдыхали в мае 4 ночи, номер Делюкс с видом на море, такой и бронировали. Не смогли оплатить заранее, что-то с картой, отель пошел нам на встречу, забронировали номер без предоплаты. Расположение супер, выходишь и буквально метров через 100 главная площадь. Тут же базарчики, лотки и прочая торговля. в пешей доступности трамвайные остановки. номер чистый, полотенца меняли каждый день, пастель 1 раз в 2 дня. Выбор блюд на завтрак не очень большой, но это не 5-звездочный отель, и голодными точно не останетесь. на 5 этаже панорамный ресторан. Выше - открытая терраса, где можно покормить чаек. Персонал приветлив, на все наши вопросы всегда отвечали радушно. Хотим приехать еще раз и остановиться именно в этом отеле. В общем советую.

Единственное, что нас огорчило по-началу, мы приехали рано,ближе к 11.00 и нас не смогли заселить пораньше, только к 14.00. Но мы оставили чемоданы на ресепшн и пошли гулять.

Wonderful location for historic sights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room in traditional style was well sized with a lovely view from the little balcony of the Sea of Marmara and Blue Mosque. Breakfast excellent and a lovely room with stunning view from the dining area

All reception Staff knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Priority to our arrival we experienced great communications with Aydin and Nourssi regarding our tours and transportation. Staff Arranged a fantastic one-day private group walking tour, Bosphorus tour and all transfers from cruise port to hotel and hotel to airport Breakfast excellent with nice terrace views. Lovely rooftop terrace restaurant. All restaurant staff friendly and happy Excellent location, walking distance to all major sites and Arrasta Bazaar Rooms are small and dated, but clean. A big thank you to Aydin and Nourssi for all of their help

Отель великолепно расположен. Район тихий, нет никаких толп туристов под окнами. Балкон и окно люкса смотрят на Босфор. В номере кровать с отличным матрасом. Есть батарея отопления и кондиционер, что гарантирует комфортную температуру при любой погоде. Номера, в целом, очень комфортные, есть всё что нужно, включая чайник. Хороший душ с нормальным напором воды. Отличный завтрак на крыше с разнообразием блюд. Есть открытая площадка и застекленный ресторан с потрясающим видом на Айя София, Голубую мечеть и Босфор. На завтраке есть и горячая еда, и фрукты, и множество десертов. Персонал превосходный и работает, как часы. Все очень внимательны и доброжелательны. Спасибо отдельное менеджерам отеля Нурси и Айдыну. Обязательно сюда вернемся.

Немного слабоватая звукоизоляция, но шумные соседи - это гости, отель тут ни при чем. Просто просили быть потише и вопрос решался.

Probleme wurden unkompliziert gelöst, wir wurden sehr freundlich behandelt, die Angestellten waren sehr angenehm witzig und nicht aufdringlich, die Aussicht aus der Terasse war 1A, das Essen war lecker und sie sind auf unsere Bedürfnisse stets eingegangen.

Die Wände zwischen den Räumen waren etwas dünn.

Staying at The Magnaura Palace Hotel was a fantastic experience. The hotel is located in the old town of Istanbul within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cisterns, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff is amazing. They were extremely hospitable and went out of their way to make our stay special. The hotel arranged tour guides for us that were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The maid even left us a very cool artistic display our last day there. The rooftop restaurant has fantastic food and unbeatable views of the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia lit up at night. The waitstaff is incredible. I wanted to include a video of our very charming waiter doing the presentation of the testi kebab which is really quite something to experience, but apparently trip advisor won’t allow that. I highly recommend this place. Everything about it was perfect

Fantastic staff, great location, couldn’t have been more ideal for our long weekend sightseeing. The staff were so knowledgeable and helped us with booking tickets/reservations. The view from the rooftop is awesome in the truest sense of the word - it takes your breath away. Our room was cleaned every day, a great size and quiet too.

The staff is very nice and the restaurant is very good with a nice view. Breakfast was very nice. The location can't be beat. It's very walkable to everything you would want to do - even walkable to the Galata bridge.

We had a King Corner Suite which had a nice view of the Sea of Marmar. However, there is a large pillar in the middle of the room which makes the room choppy and not really functional as you would expect. There was also construction on the room next door to us our first day which didn't allow us to rest comfortably after our long day of travel. I would still recommend this room, which is on floor 3 as compared to the floor 2 rooms where we have stayed prior and are much noisier as they sit above some sort of shop that opens at 6am and makes a lot of noise. The walls overall seem to be on the thin side. Also, we were there in April and there is no air conditioning despite what the booking.com listed. At least in this room. We were told the unit on the wall was for heat only. So they brought us a fan and we were able to open the windows a bit (though it can be noisy trying to sleep with the windows open). So keep in mind there is no AC unit in this room.

WiFi not stable in our room Owners son??spent 2 nights next to us and first night partied with friends until about 4 am. Even after knocking and requesting quiet he continued. Second night was talking on a cellphone and bumping things around in his room from around 12 to about 3- slamming the door in and out?? Make sure he is not saying there when you book.

Excellent emplacement pour visiter les principaux sites. Beaucoup de petits restaurants à proximité. Le personnel est très sympathique et compétent. Le réceptionniste absolument adorable et aux petits soins et de bons conseils. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Хороший вариант для знакомства со старым городом и районом Фатих. Решили в этот раз добавить немного аутентичности в место проживания))) Расположение идеальное - рядом все возможные транспортные локации (метро, трамвай), кафе/рестораны. Цены в данном районе немного выше, чем в Бейоглу и меньше европейской атмосферы, но, сервис везде на уровне. За свою цену отель хороший, персонал вежливый, чисто, уютно, завтрак приемлемый. Переночевать и позавтракать комфортно. Помощь персонала нам не требовалась, но, видели, как сотрудники помогали постояльцам вызвать такси, объясняли, как пройти и т.п.

Номера маленькие, но, в старом городе все отельчики камерные. Единственное, если будете зимой и с массой верхней одежды + чемоданы, возможно, лучше посмотреть отели "через мост"))

Hotel was lovely, the room was nice and spacious, tea, coffee, water & toiletries topped up every day. Good selection for breakfast. Location was great for access to most sites & a great view of the blue Mosque from the roof top terrace. Das Hotel ist keine 5 Sterne Hotel. Die Fotos sind viel besser als alles wirklich aussieht. Enttäuscht. Das Frühstück ist sehr mangelhaft, schlechtes Kaffee, schlechtes Service, die Sauberkeit ist auch schlecht. Wenig Speisenauswahl. Auch enttäuscht. Schade.
