Large clean room with comfy bed and good facilities

Travelled up with my sister as we were doing the R2 in the park Stirling so had a 3 night stay Perfect location, rooms were really nice and cleaned each day (although they did forget to leave milk on the Saturday) - the Coorie-in restaurant was closed so couldn't have a cuppa tea! Overall, an excellent place to stay and very reasonably priced - would definitely stay again

The only downfall, is that the restaurant doesn't do breakfast until the hours between 11am - 1pm which was a bit bizarre but there was a lovely little cafe a few doors down that opened at 9am but closed on Sunday

Stayed here several times .the rooms are spotless and very comfortable.

The outer door banging loudly every time folk were coming and going,maybe a sign to ask guests to close door quietly would help.

The room itself was very good. Very clean with all the facilities you needed.

It was a Friday night and there was a lot of street noise from other bars and drinks shouting til the early hours. This was not the fault of the Black Bull and so was beyond their control.

No USB sockets. Access around the bed very cramped. We arrived home after the theatre at 2230 hrs and the bar had closed. No seats in bedroom.

Beautifully clean room, comfy beds. We had a fantastic night's sleep. Enjoyed a meal in the Black Bull the evening of our stay which was excellent with friendly staff and locals Will stay again if we're in the area

Poor reception upon arrival. Manager was away and the young staff in the pub tried to help but weren’t briefed on how to handle check in. Room was up a grubby exterior staircase. The security door was broken so access was open to all comers. Not a great part of town and expensive for what it was.

All the instructions were very clear and everything worked well.

Very conveniently located. Good priced food and the pub itself was really lovely with great priced drinks. Good options for takeaways. The rooms were impeccably clean. The staff were absolutely amazing- friendly and couldn’t do enough for you.

Shower the took some getting used to took a few minutes before temperature regulated itself went from scolding hot to freezing cold continuously but then eventually sorted itself. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My daughter and I had a lovely 2 night stay whilst my son was at a friends nearby. Lovely village location. Lovely room (4), perfect layout for us. Clean and tidy everything we needed. Great sized bathroom. Easy check in and check out. Towels delivered for the second day. Tea coffee kettle cups biscuits all available. Hairdryer available. Minimal noise from the pub despite England playing and it being a Saturday night. Beds very comfy we both slept well. No bad smells, appears well decorated and carpeted. Easy to book and all correspondence from the property was clear and in a timely manner. Cheap (40p)Ev charging on the free car park just across the road overnight.

Nothing it was absolutely perfect for our stay. …..(I did hurt my toes on the edge of the flooring to the bathroom, I see others have also mentioned this, not sure what the solution could be but hopefully there is one)….. definately don’t want to be negative at all, we really enjoyed our stay.

It certainly isn't expensive. Room was clean enough. (I wouldn't go as far as to say it was spotless, but I've definitely seen worse!) Plenty of hot water and comfortable bed.

The 'single' that I had was right beside the entrance door, so I did have quite a lot of door banging to contend with.

Lovely rooms, very cozy, and clean. Check in was very easy, good food, and the staff were lovely! We had a small accident and the staff fixed it wonderfully for us. They were so helpful and lovely! This stay was above and beyond our expectations, the bed was very comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights, and got new towels after the first night, amazing! We would absolutely recommend staying here, and would stay here again too.

It was a bit noisy until about 11:30PM as the windows face the outside area of the pub. (We were in room 4). But thats to be expected when staying at a pub, so no big deal for us.

Immaculate rooms everything was super clean, with every need taken care of. A very fresh looking accommodation. The price was excellent, especially for a family that needed 3 rooms. We stayed to break up our journey to the Highlands, however the place could be used as a base to explore the area. Staff were kind and lovely especially with my anxious son

Booked 2 rooms. One was lovely and spacious. Lots of storage. The other room was tiny for a double, we struggled to fit between the bed and the wall. The windows weren’t closing properly, so we couldn’t block out any noise from the smoking area from the pub attached to the hotel.

Clean, comfy, convenient just off the Motorway. Handy restaurant/pub with fab food and friendly staff, so no need to search for food. Easy to access room. Bargain price well worth it.

My room no 3 faced the back to the court yard where the smokers are allowed and even though it was a warm evening I had to close my window due to the smoke coming into the bedroom. Plus you could hear all the chat below. I'm just grateful I didn't book it for the weekend and it was only Thursday as I doubt i'd have had any sleep.

Take an eye mask if you're sensitive to light as the emergency exit sign was a little bright.

Exceptionally clean room. Very comfortable. Even came and cleaned my room on the morning of my second day which I did not expect. The staff in the adjoining pub were friendly and gave amazing service. The food was really good and professionally presented.

Na eerst iets in de pub te drinken was het niet meer mogelijk om nog te eten. ‘s morgens geen ontbijt mogelijk. Gelukkig is er een Spar rechtover waar we een ontbijtje hebben samengesteld.

Great clean room with modern conveniences - the bathroom seemed to have been pretty much recently renovated - the room was basic but in great condition and scrupulously clean.

The only thing I noticed and it is SMALL - is that my laptop alerted me that the wifi was an older protocol, so that could be updated - but otherwise nothing.

Clean, comfortable room. With a good shower, kettle and tea making facilities. Wifi reached all the way to the top floor. Liked the separate entrance to the rooms, didn't have to walk through the pub to reach the rooms.

Only slight negative was the loud music from the pub, however this finished early and didn't impact sleep.

Rooms next to nice traditional Scots pub. Room lovely and quiet and slept so well. Will use again when I drop through the area

It is a bit far from the train station, but a taxi was less than $7.00. Well worth it.

Spent one night at Black Bull good location for a conference we attended in Cumbernauld town centre, a 5 minute car ride away. Room was cosy/clean,, comfortable bed with good shower facilities. Tea/coffee biscuits available. Would use again, great value.

My bed linen was not.changed for the 4 nights i stayed .Not sure if thats how its always like.

The room was comfortable, well-decorated and very clean with matching bedding on both beds. Good quality carpeting in the room, again colour co-ordinated.. The double glazed windows looked attractive and in keeping with the age of the building and they cut out any outside noise. The shower was fine and there were plentiful towels. The staff team are lovely and very helpful. Altogether a very comfortable stay.

I was very happy with the accommodation and the proximity to the Motorway so I have no negative comments to make.

The renovations in the room could have been finnished. Also the shower room was ok but the was no sanetry bin for female product.

There’s was nothing I didn’t like. It exceeded my expectations and despite being a small little villiage vibe, it was lively enough and super clean and super safe and everything was organised very well. Staff were lovely and friendly and efficient. Only thing that may improve it would be a wee fridge in the room. However, I was expecting that and the facilities provided were perfect.

The room was fine for a short stay — simple but okay.

The invoice we received lists Booking.com’s Amsterdam address as if it were in Germany and omits all our Hungarian company details. The property refuses to correct it, doesn’t respond to calls or messages, and Booking.com hasn’t been able to help either. Very disappointing experience overall.

The bedroom door did not fit properly. Was a gap,I could see out to hallway.I could not sleep through the night. Very noisy was disturbed at 7am 27-8-2025 Some person kept tapping on my door. So stuck my case behind the door. With clothes on hangers on door handle. All noise stopped after they left.Being frightened, packed up left. Went to Stirling on bus.Found a lady Heather from M/S.She helped me find The Golden Lion Hotel. Booked 2 nights.27& 28.left on 29-8-2025.

The reception staff at the coorie inn didn't know the code for the key storage so I was given a spare key I left at 8am but had to return twice to try hand key in eventually getting the code of barstaff in the black bull at 10.50am leaving me running late that day but except for that it was good.
