Set in beautiful surroundings, peaceful and quiet.
Very small bathroom.
No breakfast included. Location was good.
No dislikes
Amazing place to stay like a slice of heaven with the most amazing team to host you
Nothing it was all awesome
De rust, het uitzicht, de tuin en de ruimte.
Veel last van vocht wat schimmels gaf. Keuken is wat gedateerd. De bedhoezen voelen wat plastic aan.
Very clean and comfortable. Mavis were very friendly
Everything was perfect
The views & the forest
Receptionist not really welcoming
The road was very bad. Especially for small cars
Nice and good
So peaceful. Excellent value for money. Lovely stay and will return!
I need to get better a fly fishing. No fault of the facilities.
Setting and facilities and wood in fireplace.
Dirt road.
Nice view
The fact that the staff ablution was right by my door. When sitting outside they were always there. No privacy. I would imagine its just this specific cottage.
The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The house was really well equipped.
Beautiful scenery, comfortable stay.
The Wi-Fi was on and off.
Location is splendid with a beautiful view on the valley, and the gardens on the farm are super well maintained, lots of flowers. Chalet had all basic amenities and was very clean. It was calm and lovely. Bed was comfortable.
An easy fix to make the stay even more comfy: some attention to the lights for a nice cosy atmosphere at night in the living area (some bulbs were very hospital white)
Road to location was terrible - but we understand it was from recent floods. Accommodation was good but I was not informed that 4 beds were upstairs (hectic upstairs) which 2 people could not climb. We had to sleep on couches in lounge as a 92 year old lady was given the downstairs room - with a double bed. Would have been excellent for family with 2 - 4 children or young friends.
The stairs to second bedroom is hideous!!! Rather have lounge on top and bedroom at the entrance.
Spacious apartments, helpful staff and cleanliness
The bed in our apartment was not comfortable at all, it dips in like a boat the moment you get on it. We didn’t have a peaceful night
Location.. Friendly and most helpful reception and owner.
Bathroom . Toilet enclosure too small for comfort.. b Bar stools uncomfortable when dining
The Resort Eco-environment soo relaxing. I enjoyed my stay Friendly owners and staff Mountainous and beautiful garden Security perfect
Booking.com not showing clear pictures of the Shalley you Booking. Do not booke the cheap Shalley to avoid disappointment on arrival.
The serene was so amazing. Very quiet and calm.
No toilets alongside the pool area.
Comfortable bed.The restaurant
Tiles in shower are slippery
Beautiful scenery
Noizy bedroom
The scenery is absolutely peaceful and breathtaking, the best in magoebaskloof . The privacy of the cabin. the beautiful cheerio gardens has the most beautiful flowers in the world and the hiking trails are a treat
i've been to cheerios every year for the past 5 years with family, this was the first time our bedding was dirty, the sheets had yellow stains all over and the couches and curtains were covered in dust i woke up with a severe sinus attack every morning. we had no electricity for 2 days there's no backup we only had a half candle to use and we lost all our food and meat. the kiddies jungle gym is not safe and falling apart, the family games room has nothing left inside just covered in spider webs.
The beauty of nature and weather.
Everything was in order and very welcoming, there was nothing to complain about.
The cottage is spacious and has everything we need for self catering. Liked that there was a gas stove that helps when the power is out. Mavis was friendly and came to give us fire wood at night. The property is quiet and peaceful.
The steep stairs, when you go to the toilet at night you need to go downstairs with those steep stairs, that was a bit hectic.
The area is very tranquil and homey, very nice and simple. A very good place to unwind
The electricity kept tripping and there is no backup generator
Beautiful nature
Load shedding
We liked the space the cottage provided. We were booked into Beefwood. The views were spectacular, it was peaceful, the village is close by and easily accessible. We enjoyed the greenery, the sports field and the pool area. A special thanks to Mavis who was incredibly helpful and professional and to Alfred None the owner who gave us a warm welcome. This was an exceptional experience for our family and we will visit again!
The view The walk to the tea garden The awesomeness of the place Quietness
Nothing all was good 👍
Everything
Nothing
The walk in the nice scenery, surrounded by nature with light showers, such a beautiful place. Will definitely come back but with friends and family.
Nothing. Everything was perfect
The environment
The power cut is a serious issue
The location was beautiful, would absolutely come back. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Accommodation was clean with everything we needed, good value for money.
The shower needs some upgrading, the water is either too hot or too cold and the shower nozzle isn't the best. Toilet also doesn't flush well. The door in the bedroom scrapes against the floor.
The staff was very friendly ,it was quiet and peaceful
Comfort apartment, it was clean and was every day serviced. We liked the area as well as the flora.
The fireplace was very cozy and deck provided a lovely indoor and outdoor atmosphere.
I understand the unit was self catering but it would have been nice if extra wood could have been brought directly to the unit. It was also odd that as a guest had to pay to fish for the same cost as a day visitor. The dam could have also been better maintained in terms of trees being trimmed to allow for optimal fly fishing. Better signage to the trout dam is also needed.
It felt like our home away from home
We liked everything
Breakfast was not included
The waterproof on the double bed
The environment is so refreshing
The road.
The accommodation is located in a beautiful valley, with splendid gardens and lakes nearby. The dirt access road is in poor condition, more suitable for SUV's than sedans. However, the neighboring Cheerio Gardens are a feast for the eye, especially in spring/early summer.
The bathroom facility in the cottage we stayed was minuscule in size and uncomfortable to use.
Everything
N/A - We liked everything
Bathroom, Fireplace, Braai Area. and the open plan
Kitchen appliances should be upgraded, especially the electric kettle and the toaster.
Lovely scenery. Rustic feel. Very quiet and peaceful. The highlight was the exceptionally warm and friendly staff. There is lots to do and explore in the surrounding area.
The location, apartment huge and comfortable, Everything was Amazing
Le feu dans la cheminée en soirée
Le logement est sombre
It was very good.
The cleanliness and that it is a quiet place
Nothing, I liked everything about cheerio trout resort starting from the receptionist to the chalet and its surroundings
The place is beautiful , quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very clean and cozy.
Their blankets didn’t smell very nice.
Surrounding area is very peaceful and old fashioned way of connecting with nature. Safe heaven
Lovely place, beautiful view and amazing surroundings. Close to town and all activities in Magoebaskloof. The place is a good size, and great that the bed had an electric blanket. The shower is great however the shower door doesn't open properly.
Shower (water temperature and pressure is great, but difficult to get in and out as the door doesn't open properly).
The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the place
Quite place and a beautiful view 🔥...so it was a relaxing weekend..and the staff was very kind especially the receptionist 👌
Comfortable chalet in exquisite gardens
None
Views and location
No back up power supply Hard beds any are indented where people lay so you rolling into these crevices
We did not have breakfast.
No power for most of our stay.
A truly beautiful location with fabulous walks and very comfortable accommodation. Friendly and helpful hosts, spotless swimming pool, views and everything you need in the cottage.
Not directly related to the accommodation, but very difficult (short) access road after heavy rains.
This place is beautiful with an amazing breeze. The views are nice, and the facilities are easily accessible. The staff was friendly and welcoming
Nice quite surroundings, clean mountain air. Very comfortable unit. Clean drinking water. The property location is ideal, close to town but far enough to hear nothing but nature. Staff is very friendly and help full.
The gravel road to the property can be challenging, especially when it rains.
Great place
It was amazing
There’s nothing not like about the property.
Tranquil environment and beautiful setting.
WiFi a bit weak, but not a huge issue. Road was unpassable without 4x4 due to consistent rain in the area - but not Cheerio's fault!
