the wood fired hot tub was heavenly / full moon made it extra special the breakfast was delicious the bed was super comfy

broken door handle & lock - fortunately an internal door maintenance did come and fix the sliding door lock but were unable to fix the internal door.

Breakfast was very good with a wide selection for the entire family. This included fresh seasonal fruits and artisan breads from the area.

We had some very minor issues with the heating, but to be fair, the on-site team made every effort to address and rectify.

The location is absolutely stunning. The setting and the beautifully and well kept walkways through the mountainside are unparalleled. The staff are all so well trained and genuinely enjoy their work as did I meeting them. There is a noticeable and excellent team spirit at The Spanish Farm..! I went by myself for a mental getaway and peaceful reset, to get back into my creative zone... writers... you will love it here! Nature on your doorstep with breathtaking and inspiring views. Also the bathrooms are some of the nicest I've seen in hotels. Beautiful and well made bathrooms are so important to the soul. I didn't want to leave this very special sanctuary in the mountains. My biggest thanks goed out to the wonderful owners and their excellent team. This is one of the few places I'd love to come back to over again.

I was there in the winter and I found it a little cold in the lounge also during some days so I asked for a fleece blanket (for daytime cosying on the sofa or early evening when I'm not making a fire). I feel it could be a good thing to have there in the winter months. It was not standard but the staff looked around and found one for me. There is aircon that can also warm up the room (bedroom only) and the fireplace really did heat up the room quickly. Unfortunately they don't offer dinner yet... but in the cottage with the kitchen that was bypassed by doing one nice foodshop nearby and using the oven or microwave for hot meals. That also meant I didn't have to leave the place at all after that.

They have no service after 6pm in the afternoon. They also do not care if you have any concerns. No minibar, no water as described in the room. The no care attitude is the worst we have ever experienced. Our second time here with friends, telling them it is the most beautiful place in the Cape, but with no service, terrible attitude.

The villa views where stunning bed was extremely comfortable place was clean room service efficient the omelettes are good the staff was extra friendly and kind overall stay 9/10 highly recommend.

The Breakfast option iteams (meats beef/pork) tasted and smelt Very off as if matured/aged although not specified that it was on menu.. (not my preference) ended up buying my own self-catering breakfast essentials instead. Not all lights worked and can be confusing as to which switch is not working upstairs specifically Villa 4

Room 10 has no real view, curtains could not close, took 40min to fix. Kitchen extractor noisy in room 10 slept with balcony door open and was woken up by noisy extractor.

From the moment I arrived at Spanish Farm Boutique Hotel & Villas, I was completely blown away. The property is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the Helderberg Mountains and the ocean. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, creating a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere. The reception staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always willing to assist, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious although I would have appreciated a few more options. The property also offers fantastic amenities, including a beautiful pool, a bar, and a fully equipped gym, making it easy to relax and unwind without leaving the hotel. One of the biggest advantages is its convenient location. It’s close to great restaurants and just a short drive from Stellenbosch, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. Overall, Spanish Farm Boutique Hotel & Villas is a gorgeous, well-maintained property that combines luxury, comfort, and exceptional hospitality. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

Spanish Farm is a great stay with beautiful views. The staff were super friendly, and Christiaan was especially caring and helpful. The rooms were lovely, with great views, and the breakfast was excellent. We would happily recommend Spanish Farm and look forward to returning.

The complementary coffee in the room was never replenished each day. There were no bath/shower mats to stepnon wjen finished showering.

What a great find. Lovely scenery from the hill side. Amenities were amazing. Loved that the spa facility was on premise and the therapist Catherine was amazing. Breakfast on offer had good choices. Very pleasant stay indeed.

The light panel set up in the room was not great. Once it's bedtime and the lights are switched off the panel of lights glows a bright blue. This is not a didn't like but rather be aware that there is no dinner option other than ordering a basket upfront before 10h00. There are plenty of restaurants available in the area in need.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Nature Suite at Spanish Farm, and it was the absolute perfect escape from the city. This unique, luxury tented suite offers the ultimate balance: an extremely private, secluded sanctuary with the upscale, on-site benefits of a full-service hotel. ​The setting is absolutely breathtaking. The suite is surrounded by stunning, meticulously kept gardens and massive, lush lawns that stretch out toward some of the most beautiful views you’ll find in the area. The tent itself is extremely comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, featuring a handy small kitchenette that was perfect for whipping up light snacks and morning coffees. Outside, the real highlight was the private outdoor wood-fired hot tub—soaking in it while taking in the peaceful surroundings was pure bliss. ​Another major highlight of our stay was attending the inaugural Stellenkaya wine pairing and dinner experience. The evening was phenomenal—the wine selections were perfectly matched with the cuisine, making it an unforgettable culinary highlight of our trip. ​We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay and will definitely return to experience it all over again in the summer!

As a solo traveller this was the perfect location for a quiet and relaxing breakaway with incredible views. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and lunch was lovely. The room and private patio exceeded my expectations. Thank you. Will definitely be back in the future!

Отель расположен на возвышенности с невероятно красивыми видами: весь город и океан, как на ладони! Прекрасная территория, много зелени, цветов, уединенных зон для отдыха. Красиво оформлены виллы. На территории виллы прекрасное джакузи и маленький бассейн. Камин в гостинной зоне создает особый уют, его разжигают по первой просьбе.

Не хватает шторы между спальней и санузлом. Уместно было бы иметь возможность уединиться. Также не хватает гигиенического душа.

Wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer (im Haupthaus) mit Balkon und einer sensationellen Aussicht. Das ganze Hotel zeichnet sich durch einen besonderen Charme und sehr freundlichem Personal aus. So wurde uns nachts nochmal der Kamin angefeuert, damit wir uns aufwärmen konnten. Die Lage ist traumhaft schön mit Blick auf die Berge und das Meer und die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Je suis un touriste, pour ma première fois d’arriver à Sumer set , J’ai réservé et payé via booking.com, à l’arrivé ,j’ai présenté le reçu du paiement ainsi que min identité et on a Chekin ,le soir à 20h la dame qui était de service à la réception nous a fait une pression jusqu’à 22h selon elle booking n’avait pas encore fait le virement de notre paiement dans leur compte, comme la dame avait reçu les instructions du manager de nous faire payer une deuxième fois malgré la preuve de paiement qu’on avait effectué chez booking.com, à la fin après que je me sois opposé à eux la dame de la réception a fini par nous comprendre… * remarque important: ce soir la , j’ai demandé entrer en contact avec le manager qui donnait directement des injonctions téléphoniques à la réceptionniste , ce dernier avait refusé de communiquer avec moi je n’ai trouvé ce comportement professionnel.

Property is stunning and gardens are well kept. The staff were very friendly too. The villa felt as if it was cleaned thoroughly.

Our fridge in the villa wasn’t working. Eventually they had to bring in a mini fridge for us to use as a replacement, they were very quick in their response but it just isn’t on par with the quality you’d expect. The WiFi also wasn’t very good unfortunately.

Wasps! So many wasps at breakfast and when you’re by the pool. They didn’t serve dinner either and it’s a little bit out of the way, so we ordered in most evenings.

Lage, Zimmer, Ausstattung, Komfort, Frühstück (grds.) und Blick wie beschrieben, wie von anderen bewertet sind sehr schön👍.

Störend empfanden wir, dass im Zimmer trotz ausgeschalteter AC, die automatische Belüftungsanlage nicht ausgeschaltet werden konnte und es ein "Dauerrauschen" gab. Der "Blick fürs Frühstücksbuffet" ist verbesserungswürdig, es fehlte meist etwas, was aus war oder vergessen wurde nachzufüllen, z. B. Gläser, Joghurt, ...und .an musste immer erst fragen.

Schöne Lage am Berg mit tollem Blick, alles sehr sauber und ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Allerdings liegt das Haus eher schattig und ist morgens und abends kühl, zudem fehlt ein gemütlicher Aufenthaltsraum zum Verweilen. Auch die Balkone sind wenig privat, da Nachbarn direkt Einblick haben und Gespräche leicht mitgehört werden können.

The location is beautiful and the view is breathtaking, the hotel looks great and the swimming pool is a lovely place to rewind.

Many facilities advertised online (hot tubs, nature pool, outdoor fireplace, braai area) are not available to hotel guests though, only to villa renters. This is not made clear anywhere and feels dishonest. There was also a serious lack of communication from both management and staff. Restaurant hours were incorrect, gym equipment and hair dryer didn’t work, menu items were unavailable, lunch took over an hour and we had to look for staff ourselves. For us, the price is too high if you look at the service they provide. Management did not offer a real solution afterwards. Beautiful location but in the end every day things went wrong and we were left with a poor experience.

Er is een heel stuk aangebouwd, met nieuwe kamers! Onze kamer had een groot balkon en een waanzinnig uitzicht. Alles is super schoon en comfortabel. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd en het personeel is heel aardig. Je kunt heerlijk liggen aan de pool en genieten van al het moois!

Het ligt boven op een berg, hierdoor fantastische mooie uitzichten, maar je moet wel iedere keer met je auto naar Sommerset West om ‘s avonds een hapje te eten. Er wordt zelf geen avondeten geserveerd namelijk.

Die Unterkunft hat einen wunderschönen Garten, die Zimmer eine wunderbare Aussicht. Alles ist liebevoll gestaltet und durchdacht. Das Frühstück war hochwertig, genau wie die gesamte Einrichtung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Für uns war alles perfekt.
