Beautiful location, room lovely, food good, a comfortable stay
Was there a lounge for residents?
The hotel was excellent - we stayed at the hotel after visiting Gwili Railway steam train experience and the hotel was perfect. We had a very nice one night stay, the rooms were decorated lovely with spectacular views, we enjoyed a very nice evening meal at the hotel and a breakfast, the portions were large and food good quality. We would all certainly return and recommend.
We could not fault the place.
Great customer service, excellent food brilliant communication between staff
Nothing
Fantastic hotel in rural location We have been upgraded to the suite free of charge With fantastic spa bath Comfortable bed and really good food in the restaurant Didn’t have chance to use spa facilities
Absolutely nothing
Breakfast was great. The room was spacious. The staff was the welcoming and very warm.
Its a little far away and could be difficult to discover.
The hotel was really good. The location was prefect and we had a mountain view outside our large window. The bar and restaurant were great. The food was ace in the evening as was the brekkie.
I honestly can't think of a single thing other than I recall the booking.com listing stated the rooms were soundproof. Which was not the case. There was noise when people were walking up and down the hallway/entering their rooms.
Excellent friendly service very clean 10/10
Lovely dinner and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely clean room. Loved that we could park the car right outside the room and access the room via patio door from the car park.
Would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Bath temperature on the cold side.
Very nice stay at the Plough. Make sure you try the restaurant: the food was great. Very helpful and nice staff (we arrived late in the evening and served us without rushing us).
Superb
Nothing
The executive suite was awesome apart from the tv needing to be a bit higher 😂😂 room service was a must and food was delicious! Massive bath was lovely
Very friendly helpful staff.
Very clean and good location
Beautiful location
Was brilliant
Spotlessly clean. Lovely breakfast. Very comfortable
A very friendly welcome and room was perfect! There was everything anyone could possibly need..iron, fridge, safe and lovely towels.Bed was very comfortable.
Maybe slightly larger portions at breakfast ...but what we had was very nicely cooked.
Good location, comfortable bed and great restaurant with amazingly good food. Very good professional staff who are all very friendly and polite.

Quiet setting.
Everything! The hotel was lovely and the location could not have been better. Will definitely be back
The evening meal was not great - service was good but the food was not good at all. Would not put us off though - breakfast was lovely just the evening meal did not meet our expectations
The Plough Inn was comfortable, spotless, excellent food and very friendly staff

Prachtig uitzicht op de Brecon Beacons en de groene weides ervoor. Supersize bed.
Niks
It’s a very stylish hotel, especially the bedrooms, with great views from the terraces and bedroom. Excellent breakfast choices.
It’s a 20 minute walk from the station and town centre which felt a lot in a heat wave with a back pack
Property is very lavish and very well maintained
Nothing not to like about the property
Fantastic place
Staff were outstanding
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. A wide range of choices for breakfast. Free private parking on site. Coffee and tea facilities in the room as well as fridge. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The dinner provided in the restaurant was delicious.
No swimming pool.
excellent breakfast with good choice. staff always helpful and friendly. fantastic view of the Towy valley. good car access to the lower ground floor room.
We were upgraded which was lovely surprise. We had dinner, bed & breakfast and everything was delicious and comfortable.
Wonderful location, easy booking in, the dog friendly rooms with air-conditioning were perfect, the patio door leads out to the dog friendly area, there is a bin provided for everything to pick up after your dog, the patio are is well covered and dog friendly, the staff were really lovely, the bed was fabulous, comfortable and the linen pristine, I would recommend this property to anyone, and will definitely stay again. Thank you L. Smith.
Lovely, friendly staff, comfortable rooms and fabulous food
Nothing; it was wonderful
Large room and bed.
Lovely views of countryside and food was amazing
Restaurant staff not very happy.
Lovely big room with very effective air conditioning, two-seater settee, table and chairs and a bed the size of Wembley Stadium. Nice view across the Towy Valley. Excellent decor and attention to detail, very clean, very comfortable. Really nice staff and very tastefully decorated public areas. Good, freshly cooked breakfast and an excellent evening meal. Easy to get to as it's on the A40, though we didn't get any traffic noise as the rooms are at the back and face away from the road, plenty of parking and working electric chargers (7kw/h) which were reasonably priced. Really good all round and a nice part of the country.
I had to wait a long time at the bar to settle the bill for our evening meal; otherwise nothing not to like.
Arrived via motorcycle and the hotel offers rooms with exterior doors that you can park in front of. Made loading/unloading incredibly easy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant provided good food for dinner and the breakfast was perfect. This was a nice stay for us.

Third visit. Staff, accommodation and area are outstanding.
Wasn't able to stay long enough!
Very well situated, close to the gardens we wanted to visit. Nice rooms with good amenities. Lovely distant views from rooms at the back. Food and service good in restaurant although there was no atmosphere whatsoever. Very good breakfast served in the conservatory with exceptional service provided by Jis. Lots of parking
The bedding was awful. Cheap pillows and duvets. Also, it's right on a busy room so bring earplugs. Overlooks road at the front.
Arrived late expecting not to be able to eat that night. The hotel however said not a problem. Fantastic that they went out of their way. Same for breakfast. They put on an early breakfast for me.
Lovely large and comfortable room with great facilities. Flexible late arrival arrangements helped short notice travel plans. Great tasty and broad breakfast selection to set up the start of the day.
Nothing.
Convenient for the botanical gardens . Easy access . Good restaurant.
Friendly staff. Fantastic food
The breakfast was excellent and great for my young child. Parking was safe and secure with good views. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Clean, modern and well equipped hotel with plenty of free parking and very friendly staff. Good breakfast choices and well prepared. Room facilities for tea, coffee etc very good.
Small point really but bathroom lighting could be a bit brighter. Dinner in the restaurant was not so good and quite pricy. Staff were excellent.
excellent breakfast with good choices. stunning scenery on the doorstep. good parking facilities.
Desayuno con muchas pretensiones pero peor del aspecto que tenía. El personal amable. Caro para lo que es.
I liked the whole layout and cleanliness of the hotel and the view from my room was fantastic..
What a gem of a find! Will definitely return. Great facilities and view. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Guy on the front desk went over and above. Great good and beautiful room.

Couldn't have been better 👍
Location,quiet upper level rooms.
Lovely and super view, plenty of choice, tasty, nice room
Lady serving couldnt smile
Lovely large room - amazing breakfast
We booked a lower level room opening on to the car park which was convenient. We loved the food, great staff especially Zack in the bar / restaurant who was super friendly and made us feel welcome.
If there was anything that could be improved it would be the beds. Ok for 2 nights but we both woke up with a backache. It would be a bonus to have more comfortable chairs in the room too.
Perfect spot Easy parking and plenty of spaces
All of it, food, room, bed, view, everything.
Non of it. We have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Its consistently good quality every time we stay.
Good breakfast, fish was extremely dry

Everything was excellent: staff, service, comfort
The breakfast. The bacon and eggs must have been precooked and kept warm. Not nice. Had the breakfast been good my response would have been excellent all round.
The male receptionist was polite and friendly. Went over and above including offering to drive us in his own car, to our event when we couldn't get a taxi. All staff were super attentive. Great menu and drinks choice. Food was delicious and room hda everything required - safe, iron, fridge, tea/coffee/toiletries.
Not applicable. Our stay was great.
Great location, on a main road, but rooms at the back well sound-proofed, and enjoyed lovely views over open countryside. We liked the ability to open the windows to get fresh air.
Hot water for shower took a long time running water, but we were told at Reception, when we queried this, that they had had a plumbing issue the previous day, which had now been resolved.
The location is perfect, with spectacular views of the Brecons.
Bathroom needs updating and only 1 pillow each in the bedroom.
I Have Stayed at the Plough many times as its close so why travel for miles when you have these great places at your doorstep. They had an Elvis special on this time so lots of locals came and stayed as well. If you want to stay at a lovely hotel where they know how to treat a customer, this is the place, I have stayed in many over the last 10 years. This one has most things you like in one place. I often think if you could have that room, or that breakfast, or that location all mixed into one it would be great. If you like steak (that's me), or if you have specific dietary requirements vegan, gluten free all is dealt with in their stride. Oh and if you have a well behaved pet they look after those as well. I took my daughter here many years ago when she was about 8 and the waiter said "what would you like madam" and she said can i have mashed potato and beans on the side and that's what she got. That memory has always stayed with me. Yesterday i asked for soup of the day with 1 slice of bread and low and behold that what arrived. Simple i know but not so in this day an age so if you stay enjoy...
all good
Location, rooms, restaurant, parking, great food and fantastic breakfast
I like everything about this hotel
A warm welcome in the hillside! Friendly, helpful staff made my stay with my two dogs most enjoyable. My room was well appointed, fresh and clean and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. We shall be returning - a gem of a hotel
We were a large group of 27, the staff we exceptional and really made us feel welcome and joined in with all our nonsense. They were fantastic with our 5 year old grandson, can't thank them all enough...
Having to say goodbye and leave...
Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were fantastic. Thank you so much for a wonderful time.
Having to leave...
The room was gorgeous the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We had a call before we arrived asking if we wanted to make a dinner booking Plenty of parking Facilities great Loads of inside and outside spaces to sit
Leaving to go home 🥲
Super friendly helpful staff, exceptional food, great breakfast, a real gem. Also whilst reserving a couple of places before deciding where to stay these guys were the ONLY ones to contact me by telephone immediately after booking to say hello & check our requirements. We were passing through for one night but would have loved to have stayed longer 😀😘
Nothing to not like
Beautiful location, excellent facilities
Great place to visit with a dog. Very convenient room access to vehicle for loading and unloading. Food and service in restaurant exceptional.
Nothing to dislike.
Quality ingredients on the plate nice thick bacon.
Sausages not to my liking but that's a personal preference.
Very spacious rooms and comfortable. Food delicious and staff were super friendly.
Nothing!
Lovely staff. Fantastic food. Plenty of parking.
Always love the Plough as I used to stay there with my Aunty and Uncle who ran it in the 50"s and 60's . .
Our room hadn't been cleaned properly there was a bra left behind and a earring in my bed ..the bed wasn't made properly
The hotel was comfortable & well decorated. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was lovely & had everything we could need, including rural views. We ate breakfast & dinner at the hotel and the food was well above average. We would be happy to return.
