We'd asked for adjoining rooms as we were travelling with children but the only rooms were on a smoking floor, which smelt terrible. The staff were nice and tried to be accommodating, but the hotel is the way it it.

I enjoyed how we could get noodles at the breakfast buffet. I also thought that the room service was very nice, since I could ask for necessities such as more water bottles or more soap when I needed them. I got new towels and the room was organized while I was out. I appreciated the complimentary hotel slippers in the closet. Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay.

I honestly didn't have any complaints about my stay at all. The staff at the hotel all exhibited professional and friendly conduct and I had a very smooth stay at this hotel. I would stay here again if I were to come back to Chengdu and/or recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I think one suggestion I would have is for the front desk to tell guests about the safe in their rooms that they can use to lock things, but this isn't a dealbreaker for me since I found the closet pretty quickly.

Nice hotel at reasonable price rate. Neer to Metro and lots of restaurants.

We had a basic room on the 11th floor and they included free breakfasts for the summer promotion. Breakfast had some western options and lots of Chinese options - was good. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean and nice. There is a laundry machine you can use for 15 rmb so we could wash some clothes - which is very nice. A little desk in the room for working on the computer, a mini fridge and free water bottles every day. No bathtub and no usb ports for charging devices. The check-in was easy and each time I have gone to the front desk there has been one person who speaks English. The location is fine, lots of construction on metro lines in the city, so crossing roads is odd right now - but we could get a Didi when we needed one, and its 200m from exit C1 of the metro stop Longzhuayan on line 7. You can buy a metro card at a convenience store in the city and use it if you will be here a while - otherwise, single use tickets can be bought at the station. We took a Didi to the panda center one morning, leaving the hotel at 6:30. The car cost about 80rmb and took only 30 minutes.

The primary reason for my wife and I to choose international chain hotels is that they usually impose non-smoking rule in non-smoking rooms. We were glad that we did get a true non-smoking rooms instead of a spray-treated room you may get from local hotels. Our room and bathroom are spacious and clean. I found the bathroom design very interesting: the bathroom door is also used as a shower door to give you more space to move around. This hotel is close to subway line 7. We took subways everyday to tourist attractions, which is convenient and efficient when travelling in a big city with population of 20-million. Breakfast is wonderful -- good blend of local Chinese food and traditional continental breakfast. However, refilling of empty dishes is not prompt (We had to ask the servers to do so in several occasions). Staff are very polite and professional. Since I spoke to them in Chinese, I do not know their English proficiency. Overall we greatly enjoyed our seven-day stay there. We will definitely stay in this hotel when we visit Chengdu next time.

The breakfast is awesome with many items. However, the room on eighth floor had mosquito that bite me badly during sleep.

We have stayed twice at this hotel now and this will be our goto hotel for all future visits! Start with the pluses; Awesome customer service! The staff in this place really go out of their way to please. Their english skills aren't great but you can believe they will do everything they can to accommodate you. Great breakfast bar! While it still is largely of a Chinese nature, it also carries a wide selection of western style items that you'll be very comfortable finding a great breakfast. Recently updated rooms. Location! Very convenient to subway, bus lines, a mega mall, super grocery store and restaurants all less than a half mile away. Some not so great things: Rooms facing the road tend to be a bit loud. No refrigerator in room. No fitness center. Found out later that there is a fitness center in the building but it's not part of the hotel. Almost no english language tv stations {I found 2}. Overall, a great place to stay!! Some tips: Cross the road and take the No.8 bus to places like Wuhuo Shrine and city center. the Chengdu transit system is available for download in english and the subway and buses announce stop in chinese and english. I strongly encourage you to try it. If you plan to use a taxi, try to use exact change as foreigners make great targets for fake bills. Find a park! They are beautifully done. Watch your belongings! Pickpockets are frequent and know that tourist are often easy targets! Women use a purse that zips closed, men consider a man purse or fanny pack and wear backpack on your chest as they will cut the bottom and relieve you of your belongings.

Hotel staffs are very polite. They can speak English. They help me call taxi. Very helpful. The room is clean and comfortable, except no movies to watch. Overall, I enjoy my stay. Will come back again.

The rooms were ok ,the staff was extremely friendly and helpful ,but the place has obviously a very strangely orientated management policy .I arrived late at night ,and took me about 20 minutes to convince the front desk personnel that the only price I was willing to pay was the confirmed one ,two days prior to arrival ,through booking.com .The manager came ,she spoke english ,and the matter was settled .I departed on a Sunday ,it was agreed that I would receive an invoice ,the billing details were communicated through booking com ,unfortunately nobody could understand English .The supervisor ,who arrived to solve the matter ,apologized ,but still wasn't able to issue an invoice ,nor could he add my IHG points.I left without I believe IHG and booking com should reconsider the collaboration ,or at least issue a warning

Good, clean, comfortable hotel. Breakfast had limited western food, but sufficient. No dinner restaurant at the hotel but plenty around the area within close walking distance. Great staff, good English.

Pros : Clean room, strong shower, decent breakfast (delicious noodle). Cons : Poor location, poor english spoken staffs There's a minimarket just beside the hotel and a shopping mall within walking distance. Used their self laundry corner, costs 30 yuan for washing and cleaning. They provide laundry detergent. Overall, I'd still choose to stay here when I go to Chengdu

Only stayed for a night but satisfied with the service and the breakfast served. Very clean room. There are many restaurants around the hotel but no shopping mall, except few shops which sell shoes and clothing, not much choice.

This hotel is probably a little above average for this brand in China. It is very new, so the rooms are clean and also a little more spacious than you often find at HIX in this country. Other things were less good, however. There is very little English spoken for an international hotel, and this meant that check in and check out took a long time. Also, the complimentary buffet breakfast is very basic. Finally, it is in the middle of nowhere, although there is a mall with some decent restaurants within walking distance. Unless you have reason to be in this area, then choose a better located hotel.

While Holiday inn express hotels are managed by IHG group but don't expect much from your stay here..Rooms are small with very little space to move around....No Room service after 10 pm..Breakfast spread is average...A chinese hotel will offer much more than Holiday inn exp at the same price...take your call.

Pros - Its a new hotel. Bed is normal (not hard like a rock in most Chinese hotels) with nice pillows. It is clean. Basic tea/coffee and kettle in the room but no fridge. Reception speaks some English. All staff are very polite and tries their best. There is coffee at the breakfast. Cons - The construction quality of the fixtures are pretty bad, carpet coming off at the edges near the door, cement splashed on the floor and walls. The first room facing the road was noisy from the pub and traffic. Changed the room to face some apartments and there is construction, noise from the street, airplanes and some pipes clanking in the evening. The hotel was full on the weekend and there are not enough seats for breakfast. Both Wifi and the hot water for shower is intermittent. The lower floors (stayed on 7th) facing the apartments has noise from the streets. I think the close proximity of the buildings create a tunnel of noise. Top floors might be better. Overall, good for a short stay as it is still on promotional prices.

初めての成都宿泊で利用しました。 価格帯からすると、このクラスとしては充分満足できるレベルだと思います。 部屋も清潔に保たれていましたし、フロントの対応も悪くありません。 部屋で唯一不満だったのが冷蔵庫がなかった事かな。朝食のビュッフェも 必要最低限、概ね満足でした。ロビーは日本語で対応してくれる人は いませんでしたので、中国語か英語での会話は必要になります。 また、成都中心地から微妙に離れているので、観光後の戻りはタクシーを 利用しました。

Stayed here for one night, it's a new hotel so bed and pillow is very comfortable. Check in was quick and they recognize ihg club member(was given complimentary soft drink). Location is not very strategic as its a bit far from city center and no metro lines around, but the good news is the big paradise walk mall is just a short distance away so it's easy to look for food and entertainment. Breakfast selection could use an improvement especially for the western food section. Would return.
