Beds and pillows were not comfortable. Facilities were very basic. The floor was so noisy creaking every step. The TV had appalling reception just pixel lations. The location was just a little too far out to walk for dinner. It was not value for money

Easy parking.

The location of the hotel is perfect but overall, for a bespoke hotel it looked quite tired and renovation is overdue, something the pictures online do not necessarily show. No lactose free products for breakfast.

The location is amazing, a lake view room is a must and only a short drive into Fort William. Staff were super friendly when checking in and accommodating with our dog too. Water and treats available as soon as you walk in :)

Mainly catering for coach trips, they are priority and we very much felt in the way. They do ask for quiet between 10/11pm and 7am but this is not managed, the coach party were incredibly noisy with people standing outside the entrance until the early house smoking and making a lot of noise which you could then hear when they eventually went back to rooms

The beds were comfortable and the shower was good. The food in the restaurant was basic but tasty. The hotel was very busy and the staff did their best.

The exterior of the hotel is shabby and has the appearance of a hostel. These were not hostel prices.

Good location, 20 minute walk into Fort William and proximity to Ben Nevis. We stayed here the night before beginning the 3 Peaks. EV charging infrastructure. Comfortable rooms. Quiet.

Bathroom particularly had seen better days. Not very bad by any means but some paint was rising and toilet seat not properly set, small things but affected the overall quality. We were also changed to a ground floor room as the guest booking in before us wanted one on higher floors. We didn’t question it but wished we had as the room looked out directly into

Bar staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. Receptionist on check out was rude (to the point it ruined our stay) all I asked was if it would be possible for a refund on our late check out money because we checked out on time? Her reply was quite blunt "No, it's not my fault you didn't enjoy a lay in"

Die Lage. Und dass ich nur für eine Nacht gebucht hatte.

Dass man in Großbritannien wohl etwas niedrigere Standards hat ist mir aufgefallen: Was einem hier geboten wird, grenzt aber schon an eine Beleidigung. Die Rezeption erreicht man über Treppen (oder Treppenlift). Dann muss man (mit Gepäck) ebendiese Treppen runter um in den Aufzug zu steigen, gegen den viele öffentliche Aufzüge sauber und einladend wirken. Ebenso im Eingangsbereich: Vitrinen mit Schmuck(?) und kitschigen Andenken sowie ein fleckiges Sofa. Das gebuchte Zimmer entpuppte sich als eine reine Zumutung: Die Tür klemmt, die Energiesparbeleuchtung verbreitet 90er Jahre-„Charme“. Staub an den Lampen, Wasserflecken an der Wand, schmutziger Mistkübel und Schimmel im Bad und ein Duschvorhang der eher an ein Hostel erinnert. Die Einrichtung dermaßen abgewohnt dass man stellenweise mit Schrauben nachhelfen musste damit die Sachen nicht zusammenbrechen. Immerhin wurde nach Beschwerde eine fehlende Leuchte im Zimmer ersetzt und Fotos von den Mängeln aufgenommen. Dennoch war das Hotel scheinbar ausgebucht und somit kein anderes Zimmer verfügbar. In der Nacht stellte sich zudem heraus, dass das Zimmer nicht nur über den Heizkörper, sondern gerade durch ein durchs ganze Zimmer verlaufende, 60°C heiße Heizungsrohr beheizt wird. Somit war trotz offenem Fenster (!) das Zimmer auf gefühlte 30°C temperiert! Die Energierechnung scheint sich auf die Zimmerpreise auszuwirken… Von den knapp 200£ wurden uns kulanterweise 50£ erstattet. Bei der Abreise konnte man noch einen Blick in das Reinigungskämmerchen erhaschen, wo ua. die sauberen Handtücher gelagert werden. Mehr muss ich dazu nicht sagen. Was die Besitzer der vor dem Hotel ersichtlichen Luxus-Sportwägen in so einem Etablissement suchen, bleibt mir ein Rätsel.

Das Zimmer extrem staubig und dreckig (inklusive Wände, Gardinen und Bad). Ebenso Geschirr und Besteck im Restaurant. Da vergeht die Lust auf's Essen. Am Tisch werden keine Getränke serviert, die muss man sich ausserhalb des Restaurants an der Bar gg. sofortige Bezahlung selbst holen. Im Flur staubig. Das Hotel ist alt, hellhörig und mit knarrenden Fußböden. Das Bad extrem klein, das Bett nur 1,40m breit mit 1 entsprechend breiten Bettdecke (üblich in UK).

The breakfast buffet was ample and staff were happy to prepare anything not immediately available - porridge for example. There were two coaches when we stayed but we checked their breakfast time and missed the rush. Everyone really friendly. Good shower and handy lift. Great view from the room over the Loch.

The bar menu for dinner and breakfast were both tasty and the staff were very responsive. The ramp for accessible access was much appreciated. Facility was clean and welll maintained. We enjoyed the music in the lounge. The views of the Loch were gorgeous. And it is a quick drive to the train station. One of the reasons we came to area was to ride Jacobite train.

Perhaps a house phone in the room to call front desk. There was one towel per person. My sister prefers to have two bath towels

The view of the loch was wonderful. Breakfast was good and the ladies working at breakfast were great.

The barman was not pleasant when I first went to get drinks but after I had spoken to the duty manager the barman’s attitude completely transformed. We used the stairway rather than the lift - this was dirty and needs an overhaul.

The location was facing the Loche and great view from reception bar area - the location of the hotel was just outside fort William so ideal for our group food in the bar area was nice

Hotel room and Hotel is in need of an update and i appreciate its the " feel " of the hotel but for the money we paid needs to be better - door handle came off on bathroom when pulled to open - the hotel is basic and overpriced paid for 4 people for breakfast £50 and when asking if there was any further food being brought out as the previous diners had consumed most of the hot food we were told sorry no " its slim pickings " !!! - in the defence of the staff we were offered a refund but now had to find somewhere else for food and as a party of Motorcyclists meant further hassle of travelling in the rain to get food. The Bar staff - ( one gentleman ) was abrupt completely void of people skills blatantly rude.

The location was perfect lovely views if the loch. The bed was comfy.

Very basic. No plug sockets near bed, floor very noisy, thin walls where you can hear people walking on their noisy floor and bashing about, several hairs in bath upon arrival. Pricey stay considering the downsides.

- l'emplacement est parfait - le personnel fait un effort vestimentaire très appréciable.Lors de mon arrivée, j'ai fait le checkin avec un monsieur très bien habillé, c'est agréable - la taille des chambres - les équipements - la vue du lac - j'ai lu des commentaires concernant la vétusté de l'établissement, cela n'est pas du tout mon ressenti. Il se modernise tout en gardant son identité. - le service client par WhatsApp - le restaurant - la présence d'un miroir éclairant, très pratique pour le maquillage.

A confusion with the booking force us to pay 2 breakfasts. Never in my 15 years using booking I had this problem before. No one in reception asked us to clarify how many people were staying when I clearly stated 2 couples were staying…as all our hotels in this Scottish trip. Not a complaint but I am totally not staying here ever again.

Unser Zimmer hatte einen schlimmen Geruch... Schimmel? Keine Reaktion auf unsere schriftliche Reklamation. Vorsicht im Badezimmer! Zwei Wasserhähne beim Waschbecken... 1x sehr heiß und 1x kalt. Zu unserem Glück waren wir dort nur eine Nacht.

The room was exceptional providing us with a lot of room and we had a view over the water. The Buffet breakfast provided was fantastic and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It was an enjoyable stay.

Staff went above and beyond to help us! After travelling from Yorkshire overnight to catch the ferry from mallaig, the ferry was cancelled. Desperate for sleep, we rang the Caledonian. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful! Had a room ready for us within about 10 mins! So we checked in at approx 10 am. They gave us a newly refurbished room on the first floor with outstanding views! The helpfulness of the staff makes this hotel first class!

Service de chambre met de la musique à 8h du matin dans le couloir. Nourriture pas fraîche et digne d'une cantine scolaire. Barman a créé une file de 20 personnes de par sa lenteur. Photos trompeuses. Douche défectueuse.

The car parked people didn't park between the lines which needed remarking,but that meant reduced parking, so parking was very difficult

The room and bathroom looked like it was recently refurbished- it was clean and functional. Very pleased with the room and staff were friendly.

It's a large hotel and has many coach parties but we only had one night so not too bad for a stopover.

Breakfast was good.plenty to choose from.

The location for our stay was perfect & the staff were very helpful with all we needed. Reah on reception went over & beyond helpful with a very quiet room for us.

The room was adequate but floors are so very noisy to walk on & the bed mattress was really uncomfortable to try & get comfortable on.

La atención del personal ha sido excelente

Es súper antiguo así como las instalaciones y las habitaciones. Hacía 10 grados por la noche y la calefacción no la activaban porque ellos están acostumbrados a temperaturas más bajas. La habitación estaba fría y con humedad pero fueron súper amables y me dieron un calefactor para la habitación y dormimos a gusto.

Chambre très sommaire. Heureusement, nous avions une belle vue, ce qui a quelque peu compensé. Dans l’ensemble, l’établissement reste assez médiocre. La salle du petit-déjeuner donne une impression de manque de propreté, et le service du matin est particulièrement désagréable : accueil froid, voire agressif, et peu sympathique. Une expérience malheureusement décevante.

Dommage, car avec son emplacement et sa vue, cet hôtel pourrait être beaucoup plus agréable. Il faudrait cependant un vrai effort sur la décoration, les extérieurs, la qualité des produits et surtout l’accueil.

So this is one of the big tourist hotels south of the town. Be prepared to share your time with the odd coachload or two. The rooms are clean and comfortable... there is a nice bar and we had a bit of entertainment when I arrived. This can be avoided ! The breakfast was buffet style and had everything required. Staff are very friendly. Plenty of car parking so no issues when you arrive. There are a couple or three of these hotels and I use them as one night stopovers. Would stay again.

The hotel asks for a pre-arrival check-in form to be completed and as I was arriving late then needed to make sure this was addressed. Bit annoying when you are already on holiday but seemed to work. No issues other than that.

The hotel was ok, provided you had a car . The activities in the evening with live music -

Sehr freundliches Personal, an der Rezeption und auch besonders die jungen Damen an der Bar und im Restaurant! Gute Lage und einfach zu erreichen, trotzdem ruhig.

Das Hotel selbst, einschließlich Personal und Ausstattung, war vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Lage (3km entfernt vom Stadtzentrum) ist jedoch für jemanden, der nicht mit dem Auto da ist, absolut furchtbar, weil die Busse so selten und teilweise sehr unzuverlässig kommen.

Die Lage, aber daran lässt sich nicht viel machen.

Bathrooms tiny. Bed tiny. Constant hot water pipes tapping at night. Hotel is tired. Not enough staff in restaurant and varsity especially when coach parties are in. When esting in restaurant you have to queue at the bar outside for drinks. They don't serve you in the restaurant........madness. no maid service.

Lovely location on the side of the loch. Staff were very helpful and hardworking. Room was more than adequate for our 1 night stay. Breakfast was good. Plenty of parking.

房间的大小比较合适，靠近湖面（或许算河面），早上风景极佳，晚餐可以在酒店的酒吧解决，早餐也很丰富，标准英式早餐。

导航错了位置，应该不是酒店的问题，我自己选错了。

Camera ampia, luminosa, bagno in camera abbastanza spazioso. Personale gentile, al bar ottimo caffè e musica dal vivo la sera. Posizione poco fuori il centro cittá con parcheggio in loco.

La moquette non era molto pulita e anche le nostre lenzuola avevano della piccole macchie come da muffa vecchia. Trovato un piccolo ragnetto nell’armadio.

Family room located at back of hotel overlooking bins and a derelict building. Bedroom we stayed in needs refurbishing - creaking floor boards ( we were afraid to move in case we disturbed people on floor below us ) damp patch on wall, x2 plug points in whole room, had basic facilities but were all dated for the price we paid . Parking spaces need redefined as hotel guests parked randomly leaving fewer spaces.

The rooms were very tired and smelled musty . No cushions or anything extra in the room. Creased notices in the lifts. Black tape covering tears on the chairs. The twins in the dining room were very rude. The Barman claimed not to know anything about wine as he Sydney stink and he was very rude,

Nous avions réservé deux chambres . L’une était rénovée et vraiment très bien . L’autre chambre au 4eme était dans son jus et sans équipement - les deux chambres étaient au même prix et cela fait une vraie différence

Le déjeuner est correct dans plus avec des produits alimentaires de moyenne qualité

It was the only accommodation available for dates staying

De inicio pensei que o local era dentro de Fort Willian, mas fica na rodovia, sentido centro, mas não da pra ir a pé. O local de inicio teve uma recepcionista educada, mas na parte da noite e dia seguinte ficamos decepcionados.

O quarto estava sujo, com resto de sabonete de outros hospedes. O ar condicionado não funcionou, tivemos que abrir a janela, o quarto lotou de mosquito. Na recepção estavamos conversando e o atendente da recepção nos questionou sobre estarmos com uma sacola de agua. Detalhe, eles não oferecem agua. O café bem meia boca. O valor bem caro, então esperavamos algo a altura e ficamos decepcionados.

Przyjemny hotelik, duży parking. Choć lata świetności ma już pewnie za sobą (wg oceny pokoi jakie otrzymaliśmy) otrzymaliśmy pokoje przed remontem) to w środku jest przytulnie i czysto. Miła obsługa zapewnia przyjemny pobyt.

W przypadku obiadów z restauracji hotelowej lepiej skorzystać z restauracji ogólnodostępnych w Fort Wiliam ale to opinia subiektywna.

Unacceptable conditions for the price Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The room smelled strongly of mould, which is completely unacceptable, especially for a hotel charging this price. The overall condition and presentation of the room were also far below what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Considering the cost of the stay, the quality and condition of the room were simply not acceptable.

Commend the Staff they were super friendly and very helpful . Really nice especially the receptionist. Dinner and breakfast were ok. And nice view to the Loch.

Very, very tired hotel. Room quality was worse than IBIS especially bathroom. And bed springs broken on one bed. Also window not closing … midges ! Not value for money and somewhat overwhelmed by groups.

The location is in the beautiful setting of Fort William right at the lake. Although the property is old it is still kept in good shape. The beds were very comfortable and all the staff are very nice and helpful. Room was clean.
