Great location, friendly staff and clean room.

Property is dated, it was fine for one night but at a higher end of the price scale I feel I could of gotten better elsewhere. Breakfast was also just OK, nothing overly special and cut off was 9am which I think is too early!

Location was perfect as we were on a drive around of Scotland. Breakfast and wait staff were fabulous, front desk staff very welcoming and helpful. Room was large and beds comfortable.

Property was well located and close to the town and the station and very close to the loch.

The hotel was extremely basic, and quite honestly, I felt the 3-star rating was generous. The rooms are dated, tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. There was nothing particularly wrong with the room itself, but the overall condition and presentation fell well below what we would expect from a hotel charging these rates. Housekeeping was another disappointment. The room was not cleaned as expected, and we actually had to remind staff to attend to it. That should not be necessary, particularly at this price point. Basic standards of cleanliness and service should be a given, not something guests have to request. The dinner was probably the highlight and offered reasonable value for money. Overall, the hotel feels overpriced for what it delivers. The combination of dated rooms, lack of attention to housekeeping and fairly average service makes it difficult to justify the price. Unless availability is limited or you have no better alternatives, I would recommend looking elsewhere—you can likely get a much better standard for your money.

The hotel is very old and accommodations reflected such. However, should be expected when staying. Location and staff more than made up for minor inconveniences.

Outdated rooms with old style (although the bed was comfortable), small bedroom with tiny bathroom (with loud fan, no window), WiFi signal was not good. They tell you the breakfast is until 9am but at 9am they remove everything. Very overpriced for what you get (unfortunately that seems to be the case in many places in Scotland)

Friendly and attentive staff, great location and super room. We had just finished the West Highland Way and the restaurant served us the best food we had eaten all week.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and are very pleased with our visit. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and cleanliness were all excellent, and the food was truly exceptional—the chef did a fantastic job. The staff were outstanding, and we made new friends in. Rose Ann and Jhan, who provided us with first-class service at both breakfast and dinner. Thanks to them, our trip was unforgettable!

At checkin I was welcomed with a smile. Asked if I really needed a family room since it was 2 of us i replied it hard a bigger bed than other available rooms I was then upgraded to a suite with king bed sitting area and view. We had a long day and decided to eat in hotel restaurant. Rose made our experience amazing, service and food were so good we ate there again next night. Get the Lamb chops. I will return to the Muthu when in Ft Williams Rooms are clean staff is efficient and friendly food delicious

Wouldn't change anything

I like the lobby many comfortable lounge seats n sofa with good daylight in. Good loch views. Wifi is strong here. The reception is D n he's helpful. Rooms are small beds and white ceiling lights. Lifts are very small n probably hydraulic type. Two persons with 2 small luggage can fit in at a time. Breakfast is good as they can cook oat porridge for guests upon request, besides the buffet. Dinner was simple n good too. Free car parking.

My room window facing nothing. In August the room rates are high, despite only a small room.

The location near the main part of town, near a lot of restaurants and shops, was good.

The property is old and in desperate need of renovation and decor updating. Our room was very damp throughout the stay and the bathroom had some signs of mold. The wall of the bathroom that was on the exterior of the building constantly has water drops/condensation on it, indicating some insulation problems. The decor and furniture was terribly dated. The ceiling was so thin/unsoundproofed that it sounded like the people above us were about to fall through it. And the door to the hallway was so thin that it let all the sounds in.

We loved the Muthu Hotel Forth William, its classic charm & beautiful location next to Linnhe loch, with big room & great facilities, and above all the friendly & professional members of staff. They made us feel special & welcome and provided an outstanding service throughout. The half board offer was ideal as the food was really tasty & well presented. We were impressed by Rose Ann's customer service in particular and the entire team's supportive & respectful attitude towards the customers. Our room was upgraded, a fab room with great views, and that was a lovely surprise! We would love to return sometimes to Forth William and will definitely stay again at Muthu Hotel. Thank you all for your kindness and tremendous service.

La posizione comodissima, camere pulite e comode, il team accogliente e gentilissimo (Rose Ann è deliziosa 🥰 ma anche l’altra ragazza di cui non ricordo il nome e lo stesso vale per lo staff della sala colazione). Colazione abbondante e varia. Avrei preferito soggiornare nella struttura principale, ma, credo, per mancanza di posti eravamo nella struttura secondaria annessa tramite un corridoio interno. Tutto sommato è andata benissimo anche perché prenotato giusto 3 giorni prima dell’arrivo…

They're so helpful , with guests'comfort in their minds. Early check-in , late check out and baggage storage if you arrive early. Plus the location is a big positive.

Phon di quelli attaccati a parete in camera dietro al televisore. Chissà perchè gli scozzesi non lo mettano in bagno. Colazione orrida con uno staff altrettanto scortese in una sala che sembra arredata al buio.

L'albergo pulito il personale simpatico. Abbiamo avuto un'ottima accoglienza. Abbiamo fatto un'ottima cena nel ristorante dell'albergo. La colazione è stata molto buona

There was a massive spider in my room that went under the bed. I pulled the bed out and behind the head board was very dusty.

The location of the Hotel is excellent, close to town centre and all facilities, room was well presented with excellent views and the breakfast held a good selection with lovely food.

The room had an overwhelming drainage smell coming from the bathroom, sink and shower tray didnt drain proeprly and the temprature control in the shower didnt work making the shower too hot to stand under and wash. Not all light functions in the bedroom worked. The Hotel would have been nice in its day but very dated and requiring a full upgrade, the cost for 1 overnight for one person was excessive.

This hotel has seen better days, it is tired, dingy and in places dirty. We changed rooms and are grateful that we could (as we couldn’t find another place to stay). Breakfast was awful so we ended up eating out for that. Appreciate that we stayed during tourist season but this hotel is still v overpriced.

Pool table was available but we couldnt play as no one had 1 pound coin to use the table.. we were ready to pay by card and asking for token.. we have used pool table in other hotels.. where staff have a dedicated kitty for coins whcih is recieved from the pool table collection for facilitating patrons.

Great location with the added convenience of free parking. The room was clean and well-equipped (hair dryer, kettle, still and sparkling water, tea and cookies). Breakfast offered a good variety of options.

The hotel is somewhat dated and could benefit from some modernization.

The hotel was easy to find and we had a good room with Loch view. It is within easy walking distance of all the town’s facilities. The front desk and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Bonus is the breakfast and the facility to dine in their restaurant if you would not like to step out. Food was really good.

Parking spaces were a little tight and would have been good to have a fridge and iron in the facility

Struttura molto curata con tutti i comfort. Si potrebbe definire un hotel d'altri tempi, anche per l'arredamento e gli ambienti estremamente curati. Colazione abbondante a buffet. Parcheggio interno su richiesta. Abbiamo apprezzato anche la presenza del ristorante che offre un ottimo menù.

Nel bagno non erano presenti appendini per gli asciugamani. Il prezzo é abbastanza elevato, ma in linea con quello di altre strutture della città

De inrichting was deels uit het land van de eigenaar; India. Glimmend en goudkleurig. Wij vonden het erg leuk. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. Het eten was goed, keuzes uit Brits en gerechten uit India.

Zoals in alle hotels staat er 1 stoel op een tweepersoons kamer. Waarom?

The lift/elevator was broken when I arrived. The parking was tight & another patron parked terribly so I was not able to enter the driverside and needed to climb in through the passanger side to leave.

Excellent accueil. En plus nous avons été surclassés. (chambre plus grande donnant sur le loch). Des bouteilles d' eau des petits gâteaux, chips,, chocolat en poudre, café thé. Excellent petit déjeunes buffet avec beaucoup de choix.

Tarifs onéreux mais l ' Écosse est cher.

De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding bij dit hotel is zoek. Ik betaalde ruim 250 euro per nachr voor een eenpersoonskamer zonder ontbijt met uitzicht op een blinde muur en een matras dat zo versleten was dat de springveren in mijn zij prikte. Deze kamer was nog geen 80 euro waard.

De sfeer was heel gezellig, personeel is top! En heel gastvrij. Kamer was fantastisch, ruim en mooie badkamer. Diner in t restaurant is echt een aanrader. Heerlijk!

Het was nogal gehorig doordat t een oud gebouw is. Dat was jammer, maar verder top ! Wat ze wel kunnen verbeteren is bij t ontbijt: - verbeter de koffie naar barista niveau. -maak t fruit vers, niet uit blik. Blijft verder een top hotel met heel prettige personeel!

The service was amazing! The managers Rose and her husband and the front desk help and servers were all super friendly and helpful. Rose in particular was amazingly upbeat and cheerful and sweet. She helped us start the day with a smile! Excellent breakfast and 1/2 board dinners overlooking the water were so fun. Coffee in the glass atrium fun too!!

The hotel was easy to find and within easy walking distance of all the town’s facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The car parking was quite tight, especially with the bigger cars and longer vehicles. If you get there late, the car park can be full.

La decoración es muuuuy antigua y pide a gritos una renovación. Las habitaciones no están bien aisladas y se oyen los ruidos como la ducha del vecino.

Unser Zimmer war in die Jahre gekommen und sehr hellhörig. Am Boden ein dicker, fleckiger Teppichbelag. Frühstück nur bis 9.00.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, und unser 3-Bett-Zimmer war ausreichend gross (ebenso die Betten). Das Hotel hat seine besten Zeiten sicher hinter sich, aber alles war sauber. Das Frühstückbuffet war ausgezeichnet und sehr vielfältig. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und ideal, wenn man auf der Durchreise ist. Das Hotel hat zahlreiche gratis Parkplätze - wir waren erst um 17 Uhr dort (mitten in der Saison), und es gab noch genügend freie Plätze. Sehr aufmerksam war die Schokolade, die wir beim Checkout mit auf den Weg gekriegt haben (mit der Bitte um eine Rezension).

Das Hotel ist alt und abgewohnt, und die Innenausstattung düster. Die Preise sind zudem sehr hoch und entsprechen nicht dem Gebotenen (wir haben über 200 GBP pro Nacht bezahlt).
