The location is excellent as it’s very close to a shopping area with lots of restaurants and cafes. The room is clean and the ac works well.

The hallways need to be maintained.

Buffet Breakfast - okay. Hotel is only 5 mins walk from subway station. Ningbo Hankyu is just 10 mins walk from hotel.

Buffet Breakfast can provide more varieties.

The bedding smelled musty and some sections of the carpet were dirty.

The Airconditioner is horrible and room do not Cool. My and my colleague have to change 3 rooms in the midnight and still the hotel could not do anything to make the room cool. We could not sleep properly

Professional staff - I once entered the room as the maid was there and she checked my card worked in the door, that I was the legitimate guest, which impressed me. Subway close. Coffee shop and shop outside. Staff gave a 20 minute warning for end of breakfast.

The breakfast was bad and they turned off the airflow in the rooms.

Stayed here a few years ago , bed was very comfortable , lots of hot water in the shower . Breakfast buffet wax average , wished they made omelets . Ningbo is a huge town and if you’re coming for business make sure you know how far the downtown hotels are from your factories . Easy to spend an hour or more in traffic !

I booked a room on Booking.com for 384 RMB per night, but the price I was charged at the front desk was 600 RMB per night.

It is an average hotel to stay for a business trip. Breakfast could be more various. Gym is a good option. There is a business center in front where you could find different restaurants, supermarket and etc.

AC can be turned off if hotel management decides to save electricity. Pool table and equipment are in a bad condition.

A good, clean hotel with decent facilities. Rooms were good quality but foyer lacked seating - only two chairs.

WiFi was only accessible via something called WeChat which I didn’t have and couldn’t get. The check-in, check-out and bar were all difficult to use as I didn’t speak Mandarin and they didn’t speak English or have translation capabilities. Payment was difficult as non-Chinese visitors’ cards were not accepted. Most used payment via WeChat, which as mentioned, I didn’t have and could not get.

The rooms are SUPER SMALL… if you are lucky and get a window room, the size is really shocking…

Great location, clean room with enough space, Gym is amazing on 18th Floor, open 24hs. The front of the Hotel has a great shopping mall which has great restaurants.

I liked the location, not far from shopping malls, plazas, restaurants.The room was nice and the view was amazing but the carpet needs changed.

The negative part was the lack of English speaking staff and breakfast that didn't meet my expectations. The only smoking area was out side in the cold.

The price was very reasonable for the hotel quality. Location was in the New Ningbo Center, with good restaurant options nearby. Also very close to a metro station making traveling around the city convenient. Nice and helpful staff at the reception. Good level of cleanliness. Breakfast with enough choices.

No big complaints, maybe room lacked some basic amenities like an iron/ironing board, a bottle opener, cotton buds and so on. Also getting a bottle opener from reception was not easy, only after long wait (45 minutes or so and after 2nd time asking) someone came to open one bottle for me, but there was no opener that could be left in the room.

I booked the hotel and noticed I booked the wrong day straightaway. Called Hotels.com and the hotel but none of them are helpful or at least give me a definite yes no answer to see if I can revise my booking. Disappointed

The breakfast is the same everyday. Literally the same. The chef seems not to think nor get bored with the same menu? I stayed for 6 weeks. I skipped breakfast most of the time coz its not worth it. The rooms are okay nice location. Staff and service are okay

I got a super good deal at Ctrip at CNY699 for the family Suite included 2 breakfast, place is new, clean, service is good. location is great, close to shops, malls. buffet breakfast is good, lots of selection. they do not have lunch buffet. Dinner buffet was soso, but cant complain much.

Some guests were allowed to have their breakfast in their pyjamas and bathrobes. This is unacceptable. Novotel group must look into this matter. Check in was slow because only one (a male) was able to speak English. Bedsheets and pillow cases were not change during my 5 nights stay. Housekeeping only changed bath towels and floor mat.

Not only did my room not have the toiletries (conditioner, shower cap, hand soap, moisturiser) but the pillows are so uncomfortable. Usually, there is a spare pillow in the cupboard, but not in my room. housekeeping is useless - it took 3 attempts to bring the correct toiletries! Furthermore, there are stains on the carpet (see pictures below). I had dinner in the empty hotel restaurant and although the food was tasty, the grilled salmon I ordered took over an hour to come out of the kitchen. The waiting staff were equally as useless as the housekeeping. Seriously, do not stay here.

Convenience store is 2min from hotel. No free upgrade due to suite fully booked. But then, you can still book the suite online. So what give? Called for room service amenities. Lady staff was unfriendly and aloof. Breakfast spread was ok. But duty staff was unhelpful. Will not show you to a seat. All in all, not recommended.

The hotel has nice, clean and reasonable priced rooms. The food (dinner and breakfast) is a disaster for Novotel standards. It is a pity because at least the breakfast shall be up to a certain standard for a Novotel. I will give four stars once they improved the situation in the kitchen.

The hotel has decreased a lot through the years... The room are still OK but people hardly understand English... The quality of the breakfast has decreased a lot.. ..they invent stories not to deliver what you want to order through the room service.... I'm very disappointed.... I'm still in the hotel for 2 days room 1508 if you'd like to change attitude!!

Stayed here for 4 nights during a business visit in Ningbo and found this hotel has a pretty good room in size and facilities, however anywhere you go within the hotel, most staff could not speak english and not able to understand your needs fully. On the first night ordered a room service via phone, suddenly a waitress knocked my room presenting the menu for me to choose which I felt weird about but I did order as requested. Finally the fried rice menu arrived with such an oily looks and tasteless made my appetite lost. The breakfast has limited selection with the same menu all days with such a poor service where no one speak English and not able to serve tea as normally done in many 4/5 stars property around the world. Upon check out, the receptionist presented a bill for drinking water served on my work table which I though it is complimentary that I refused to pay because there is no clear information about the price or selling information. Overall it is an average stay at Novotel Ningbo.

I've stayed two times this month in this hotel. Good location! The rooms are excellent - European modern design, standards, and quality. The internet connection is fast and runs smoothly. Guests enjoy many options for breakfast as well as well as for lunch. I think that the dinning offer should be prolonged (it is until 21:30).

It’s a very nice property just located few meters from the Metro Station. I was there for 2 nights on a Business meeting. Rooms are bit small but quite cozy & modern. Well equipped minibar. I found the Front desk staff to be very helpful & efficient. Some of them speak English. I could see a huge shopping mall close to the hotel. This is a new business district very modern well planned.

Room was nice but the buffet breakfast was bad. Restaurant was crowded & staffs were not helpful nor friendly. Moreover, we asked for extra blanket but were told there’s no extra blanket in the whole hotel.

It is a good hotel. But only thing is the top floor is not fully occupied by the hotel management. The half of the portion of the top floor in addition to the gym is given rent to the tenant. Although it is labelled as a Chess Game room, it is used as brothel as revealed later on. It is become annoying because they are using the hotel room. And 2 of those rooms unfortunately located just two sides of my room. And mistakenly one lady (member of chess club) knocked at my room at 12.30. She was completely drunk, and did not say anything as soon as I opened the door she realized it was a mistake and knocked on the door next to me and 3 people dragged her inside. This is the reason why I became curious and found all the girls and their clients are using the internal lift which is used for the housekeeping people. Already talked with the hotel reception but they said they do not know anything!

AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY. i COULDN'T SLEEP. Went to front desk for help, they sent a "technician" who did nothing . Bed was uncomfortable too.

quite surprise found this high value hotel, nice price with nice ficilities, especially very comfortable bed. the service if front desk was excellent, like the GYM huge GYM very much. breakfast was ok, will stay again.

Comfortable bed, helpful staff (only few of them knew English), good breakfast,stylish rooms. Smoking not allowed, but everywhere smothered after cigarette smoke. Air conditioning was often not working.

Hotel rooms were clean, modern and spacious. We stayed at the Novotel for a week and enjoyed our stay. The gym is on the top floor and over looks the modern part of Ningbo. Staff were friendly and the hotel is close to the airport. The breakfast was very good and had both traditional Chinese and lots of western options.

Loved this hotel. It was clean and got a great view. The blue theme was so relaxing! It's also worth noting that the breakfast was of good quality.

It is my first time to try Novotel Ningbo East. As I arrived late night, around 9:30pm, I noticed the front desk is not very busy. Surprisingly, my key is not yet ready despite checking in online. There is a lack of staff able to communicate in English. The staff know a little English but not as fluent. As a member, I was offered a welcome drink. The room size is okay, not so small and not so big. I love the bed and the lighting that sets the mood. It is not too bright nor too dim. The breakfast in the morning has several Chinese and Western choices. I think this breakfast is better than other hotels I stayed in Ningbo. One thing I noticed is that the elevator can tend to be busy and slow some times. I think it needs improvement. Generally, the check out is smooth but slow. You can see lines forming at around 8:30am. In terms of location, I think the hotel is quite far from the airport and the train station, about 45 minutes and 35 minutes respectively. There is a small convenience store outside the hotel, but the major malls are not within walking distance. However, my two nights were generally good. I will stay here again when I’m back here in Ningbo, only because I’m an Accor member.

This hotel looks very new, it's just about 5 minutes from Metro station and one shopping mall. The room size is not big, but everything is new, and the facilities are very nice. As an IHG gold member, I didn't get any benefit during my stay. I arrived at the hotel about 11am because of morning flight there, the front desk was very surprise why I came so early, then said not sure whether room was available or not. I got my room finally.

I have stayed at this hotel on many many occasions over the last year or so and am currently half way through another stay. This time I have really noticed the difference. Small aspects of service they once provided have disappeared. Food and drink is not as consistent. Be prepared to be instructed where to sit at breakfast to make way for 'VIP' visitors who get special treatment no longer available for ordinary guests. In simple terms the hotel has lost its edge. If I were not here on business and was looking for a comfortable hotel I would certainly go elsewhere. A few months ago I would have said something different.

After our stay in a 4 star hotel of Shanghai we have reserved Novotel Ningbo due to its location next to the underground station but we did not expect such a pleasant place to stay. Hotel is confortable, modern, clean and all facilities are present. Buffet restaurant was cheap and food of good quality. The area is a brand new with mant skyscrapers, shop and restaurant to visit. Metro station is within walking distance so you can easily reach citycentre or any places of the city. We have loved staying at Novotel East and staff was VERY goodç the only problem is that they could not speck English apart of two so I will suggest to improve this aspect of the Reception, anyway it was the only spot.

Very lovely rooms and quiet and very comfortable is a little hot with poor air conditioning! Very decent breakfast and lovely staff but there is a communication problem as the knowledge of English at this hotel by the staff is rather poor. Still a good quality hotel and very convenient!

Located in a new contructed area, between commercial and residential buildings.Nice infrastructure to walk around. Not too busy, as is not a turist area. The Subway station is really close to the hotel, in case you want to visit a turist and busy area as Tianyi Square and Laowaitan.

When you offer non-Smoking rooms please make sure, there is no smell inside, just a sign on the door is not enought

It's a very good hotel, on the time of booking the room. the map showing it's location was pointing at a place far away from the city, the address is correct and it proved to be in a new business area with a lot of facilities.

This hotel just opened up 3 months ago (if I remember correctly) and is the newest hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed was comfortable, the rooms temperature was easy to adjust, the water pressure was quite satisfying, and the TV even had english channels (HBO, Starz) which was great. This hotel has a decent gym as well as spa, and the quality of this hotel is great for the price point. The one draw back about this hotel is there is absolutely nothing to do nearby. There will be in the future, but the area is just so new, everything either just opened or still under construction, and as a result there is not a lot of places to eat. The subway location compared to the hotels location is very close, and I found it very convenient. As for the staff, they were very friendly, but I don't know if they were able to speak English or not as we only conversed in Chinese. Overall, I would say this a pretty great hotel.
