If you are looking for a stay option for Cape Town marathon or if you come to Cape Town for any active way of holidays (running or hiking), the apartment of Ian is the best option which you can find! We stayed in apartment for 1 week of Cape Town marathon and we were absolutely happy! 20 minutes walk from start line. Washing machine allows to wash clothes every day. Very quiet street – so we slept very well before the race! Plenty of towels, dishes, glasses and various kitchen equipment. Food store and many different restaurants at the next street. Climbing route to the Table mountain starts almost from home. So thanks a lot to Ian and his wonderful apartment for our perfect stay in Cape Town and for our very good results at Cape Town marathon! We highly recommend the apartment and the host Ian to everybody, especially to sportsmen!

The accommodation is spacious and well-equipped. It is only a short distance from the ocean and several restaurants. The host is super friendly and responsive and provided us with detailed instructions for key collection.

Oh man. The host was AMAZING, thank you so much for your patience. We came in a bit later than expected. I somehow missed the SMS for getting the codes and all, but the host was patient enough to give guidance over the phone after hours. The place is super clean and meets all expectations. I gave 9 stars because the water pressure in the shower could do with a bit of a lift. The pressure was super low which made showering a bit of a Hussle. Besides that We LOVED the place. Location is PRIME!!!

sehr gute Kommunikation über WhatsApp inkl. Lageplan. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Waschmaschine hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können die Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen.

Es war zu Beginn des Aufenthaltes sehr heiss und eine Klimaanlage wär da sehr hilfreich gewesen.

Amazing place Good location Safe, all u can do by yourself

Ian's apartment had everything we could need during our week in Cape Town. The kitchen utensils were very helpful for breakfasts and dinners when you just don't wanna go out. There is a Woolworths like 5-min walking as many others stores and restaurants over the same street. The zone have a more local vibe without losing in safety and beautiful from any other. We would stay again here in another trip to South Africa!

Very comfortable bed, clean and neat space. There was a washing machine which was great for a longer stay. Perfect location, far enough off the main road to not be noisy, but walking distance to shops, coffee cafe and walk way.

Estava tudo bem organizado e limpo quando chegamos. O banheiro precisava de uns reparos no piso e chuveiro. A vaga de garagem é super boa. Cabe carros grandes

O piso é revestimento do banheiro. As cortinas não são blackout, então se você se incomoda com isso é problema.

Everything about the apartment

There's no aircon and it does get hot in the apartment there was a fan yes but didn't help much

Great size for one person. Had a place to work. Has big windows that bring in a lot of light. Had everything i needed in the kitchen. Good shower. Was very comfortable and loved having access to so many restaurants and coffee shops and transport a walk away.

Not a lot of privacy when the curtains are open. But nothing to put your off, just takes some getting used to. Europeans won't struggle with this.

Bit of a faff to collect and deposit the keys - difficult to get out of the gate without the keys. Room itself was pleasant - large, airy and quiet. Large comfortable bed, kettle, fridge, microwave. Close enough to main facilities for eating and sightseeing.

Diagram to find the room was quite confusing, and another resident had blocked the landing off meaning we had to walk the entire length of the residential block to find our pace.

The property is very close to waterfront, super easy access to all sight seeing places by uber and car. Beds are very comfortable. Space is big enough for a family of 3. Parking lot available and it is easy to use. Also easy check in.

Bathroom and kitchen was not super clean when we arrived. No regular cleaning taking place during the stay. I only cooked at home on our last night and pans/ forks/ spoons were very old. Dish cleaning sponge was also dirty. Room needs refurbishment itself, it is old. Wifi connection is not stable ee had lots of issues but host was very attentive to fix it all the time.

The property was clean an the location is great.

The third bed was not made and there was no bedding for it.

Zentrale Unterkunft nahe der Main Street ( Restaurant) und der Promenade. Alles top zu erreichen. Einkauf im nahegelegenen wollworth per Fuß machbar. Wir haben uns zu keinem Zeitpunkt unwohl gefühlt und haben die Einkäufe zu Fuß erledigt. Unterkunft bietet einen sichere Parkplatz sowie Apartment ist mit Gitter gesichert. Check In lief top und kontaktlos In der Unterkunft alles vorhanden, Herd , Kühlschrank , notflalllampe Toaster etc. etc. Café würde ich einfach immer an der Hauptstraße hole für 1,80euro. Kleines Café in 1 min erreichbar :) top Apartment war sauber also alles in Ordnung :) würde es immer wieder buchen.

Convenient!!!! I loved that I could walk everywhere and it was safe. The place is comfortable. It felt like home, I would recommend for a short or long stay.

The space was great and very accommodating. I also like that it's close to a lot of shops and that the security was good.

The studio was comfortable though the lounge table should be replaced. The place was totally clean in a very secure and quiet neighborhood and very convenient to get to other places. Had power throughout our stay. The surroundings are so peaceful that we took evening walks. Oh! Another thing is that it is near the waterfront not the beachfront. We enjoyed the view too.

The geyser switch is so hidden that I couldn't find it and so it is far from reach for a medium-height me. One has to stand on a high stool to reach it either to switch it on or off. It is quite dangerous too.

It was spacious and we had everything in the kitchen to cook for ourselves. It was clean, secured and close to superb views, shops and restaurants.

It would have been perfect but It was a little cold(we went there during winter), as there was only a single heater for such a spacious place. Apart from that everything else was great

The studio was very well appointed, neat and clean with a wide, comfortable bed. We appreciated the variety of kitchen equipment and utensils, the TV channels (Netflix etc), the towels, the heating options, the parking space etc etc. Also the location was great - a short walking distance from the promenade. Have already booked to stay again!

I had a nice stay at Ian's place. At first, I was unable to open the gate, but I phoned Ian and he assisted me through it. It’s a lovely place, close to shops and beaches. The day I arrived in Cape Town was cold, and I was expecting some tea and coffee—but there was only salt and pepper 🙈😂. There was a bit of noise from the neighborhood across the street, but since it was the weekend, it’s understandable. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back—for the tea and coffee this time 🙊.

I know it wasn't the hosts fault but we didn't have any water for the last day and night.

Ian is very friendly and always responds immediately on WA. The studio was very clean and as in the pics. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower calls your name when u come back from activities, u feel so refreshed. It's 5min walk to the beach and eateries. A small shopping complex just around the corner. Close to V n A and the bus route just across the road.. I will most definitely recommend the studio to family and friends. Thank u Ian for being such a gr8 host..

I didn't like the fact that it was too comfortable that some days we missed activities, we just enjoyed staying in.

Safe accommodation, very good communication with host. Problem was reported and was attended to swiftly. Good amenities to make our stay supplied.

The studio is central and close to multiple shops and restaurants. The studio was really lovely, spacious and tastefully decorated.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. We had a great stay and will definitely stay here again.

The location is good, close to many amenities

There is no lift and this made it difficult to deal with the luggage. It could have helped to have a bath floor towel because the shower was leaking
