We werent told that there was no cooking facility or sink. Microwave was in the passage.

It was warm and cozy. A beautiful setting.

Nothing. It was all lovely.

Could hear everything from the room next door because there is a door between the rooms.

It was central but quiet.

I would have preferred an African style picture in our room. A cityscape just didn't do it for me. Just my preference.

The location

1. No bathroom mat 2. Electric blanket - only 1 side worked 3. You need to choose either the electric blanket or the bedside light. There is only 1 two point plug next to the bed. 4. No bedside carpets. 5. No place to hang used towles. 6. Only 1 thin blanket - it was freezing cold in Howick. 7. The bathroom door handle on the inside of the door was missing. 8. Lastly, the accomodation was very disappointing because it did not resemble the pictures advertised on the website. The photographs create a much more attractive and well-maintained impression than what we found on arrival. I believe the website pbotos are misleading and should be updated to reflect the current condition of the property.

The towels are dreadful and need replacing

Breakfast menu was good. Service could have been better.

We had yo ask for a few things like Coffee mugs, hot milk, toast and cutlery. All in all breakfast was tasty.

Coffee at breakfast was instant coffee. Made me go elswhere. Room was tiny and couldnt get heater working

Had to listen to the people next doors until 2 in the morning. The carpets have not been washed in the past 10 years.

I had dinner, the pizza was very tasty. Nice place cozy , home away from home.

This is just something to please consider in the long run. I have sinuses, so I really struggled with the carpet in my room . Please consider installing floor tiles 🙏

The convenience of having a restaurant on-site.

I called the maintenance guy to repair two lights in the bedroom. He was aware that they were faulty and was going to call the owner to bring in 2 more globes. By the time we checked out, we were still waiting for the globes. The carpets in the rooms need a proper cleaning or the flooring replaced with tiles.

Single bed rooms (2 and 3) is not at all soundproof and i had neighbors that was loud and swearing till after 23:00 and then again from about 4:00 that made my night really uncomfortable, on a stage i just wanted to leave

Noise was a bit disruptive. Guests in other rooms were not deliberately noisy, but normal conversations they had could be heard. Although there is a sign to limit noise, I don't think visitors are aware how thin the walls are. Bathrooms being so close didn't help either with the noise. Wifi was weak and kept dropping

There was no heater in the room. Only one side of the electric blanket worked. No place to hang towels. The breakfast was poor the sausages were raw and still frozen. The ribs for dinner were cold

They refused to make us breakfast 30 minutes before time to close it. What a disappointment.

2nd day no water staff didn't inform us only got answer after 1.5hr as to why we don't have .Took a bath at relatives house. Bed need to be changed was uncomfortable and room cold with small heater

The privacy and clean room.

The bed was sneaky, any heavy movement and it would possibly break. The should have been an option for shower for a deluxe room.

Room was basic but fairly comfortable and bathroom was clean.

At 12.45am I could hear everything from the room next door until roughly 2.30am I assume the dry walking between the rooms was not sound proof sufficiently! Secondly the bath towel was a bit threadbare and thirdly there was no coffee sachets in the room.

Location and grounds really good.

Sound - we heard sounds from other rooms quite loud. The ‘self catering’ meant a small fridge and a kettle- not quite what we expected.

Good to have a choice of set breakfast and a la carte.

The only space for a business traveller to work at a desk is in the restaurant or outside at a picnic table.

The establishment is safe and secured, easily accessible and surrounded buy all vital amenities.

Nice and infimate and clean

The location was great for our weekend requirements, near the main road, but also away from the road noise. Parking was okay and room was clean and comfortable.

The satellite options on TV were limited, and the TV was not a smart TV so we were unable to mobile options to screen share.

Rooms very big with comfy but carpet outdated. The hotel is located in a cosy leafy safe neighbourhood with close amenities which made it safe to even walk

Noisy hall ways as there were many families booked could have done with noisy management of all guess. Lights went out and generator didnt kick in for some time. They should have automatic changover system.

The venue is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are small but just big enough. It’s an outdoors feel. They had a cute little play area, a beautiful big area to relax with family and a nice Braai area. A very uniquely decorated spot. I felt at home and comfortable

The rooms weren’t stocked with enough cups, sugar and coffee for our stay.. the restaurant service was very bad in my experience. I really didn’t enjoy the restaurant at all.

The location is good. Nice area. Rondavel has a walk in closet. Nice little kitchenette with a big fridge/freezer

There were spiders in the room. It was quite muddy in the parking area after the rain. They could lay some gravel stones. The rondavel is very dimly lit. I couldn't see well. Possibly change the bulbs to make it brighter. There is a bathtub with a hand shower. If you're used to having a normal upright shower, the hand shower can be quite annoying.

The absolute worst 2 mattresses thrown together in what was classified as the Honeymoon suite. Lumpy with broken springs and you had to lie dead still or else you would get no sleep. Complained the first two nights then gave up. Owners should be ashamed of themselves having guests who have travelled far expected to sleep on a substandard mattress that would not even be suitable for my dogs. Totally unrested after this stay. Never before nationally or internationally have we experienced this shocker. Sad though as the staff were so kind. Not their fault they are asked to present this bed to guests. I did confirm that they had spoken to the owner who they thought may buy a new mattress.

I was given single bed and the room was smelling dump water, with bad smell like sewer coming from the bathroom. The sheet are no longer white, they look dirty and brownish. Tv was not working

The breakfast was exceptional, ladies at kitchen were very friendly and the receptionist who welcomed us she so friendly...love them.

The bed mattress is old maybe can put new ones...water got finished by 07:30 when we wake up to take a shower... but we managed to bath after our breakfast...

The location was very convenient. I we loved the little houses we stayed in. We had a private section of the garden which was very nice, The bathrooms were clean and functional and the beds were comfortable. The staff went the extra mile and gave us mini fridges for the rooms so we could keep some food in our rooms.

I think that the little houses are great, but I would suggest not staying 4 nights like we did. I think a 2 night stay would be sufficient. There was a lot of traffic noise in the early mornings.

The bathtub area was very impressive, very much exceeded our expectations

The fact that there was no air conditioner, that was a big disappointment for us.

Stuck away in a quiet, leafy area of Howick not far from the main road and close to good restaurants and shops. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The setting is lovely, feels like being in an enchanted forest. My second time here, and there will be a third!

Breakfast took a long time to arrive as we were on a tight schedule. Quality of the food presented was mediocre.

The large trees were beautiful.

Besides the lawn in front of the main house , the rest of the property was shabby and in need of maintenance.

The clean, comfortable environment. Warm welcome even though we arrived very late waking her up she was friendly and assisted us very quickly. Beautiful place exceeded my expectations looking at the price, 🤩. I will go back if i get a chance to do so.

The kitchenette was very well stocked with utensils and breakfast snacks. The garden and grounds were beautifully kept.

The breakfast was good. Location was central fir what we needed

Cottage was drafty( floors not sealed correctly) Toilet did not flush adequately( pipes layed incorrectly) Front porch incorrectly laid & caused an injury to my wife.

Shortage of Cutlery and Crockery for the number of guests.

My room was spotless and the bathroom had a beautiful fragrance when I opened the door. My sleep was amazing on the soft pillows and well 10 score and up for the comfort of the bed, never woke up to backache!!! (which i usually do) c ya on the 27th Jan on my return trip. Nothing I didn't like it was all too good to be true compared with the other B&B I have stopped at in Howick, yours is the best and I never compliment as good as this, can't mistake you for anything!! Tx Biggy Best 👌 👍 💯💫
