The room was great. The breakfast amazing. Peggie even did our laundry. She is a very good and wonderful host.

The bathroom was quite tight to move around in, although had a great shower, sink and toilet.

Es war eine kleine, nette Unterkunft. Es gab alles, was man auch in einem Hotel bekommt, nur die Zimmer sind kleiner. Es war alles sehr sauber. Ich wollte früher abreisen. Peggy hat mir extra früher als gewöhnlich das Frühstück hingestellt. Alles sehr liebevoll und freundlich.

A home away from home, Peggy was a great host. The room was spotless, spacious & airy, had a lovely stay with Peggy & of course her beautiful dog Twinkle, would totally recommend to anyone staying in the Bantry area.

The accommodation was in a great location—very close to many excursion spots around Bantry, including Dursey Island and, a bit further afield, the climb up Carrauntoohil, Ireland's highest mountain. There was a hearty, delicious breakfast featuring smoked salmon :-) A well-stocked supermarket is also close as the Bantry restaruants in the city centre. Free parking right at the property was another plus. It had a pleasant, homely atmosphere.

Nothing, all good Just a comment that the bathroom toilet position was a bit tight. This was ok for us but I think it would be tricky for taller people.

Amazing breakfast selection (apologies to Peggy as I only ever have just toast!!) Bedroom was neat and clean, bathroom well appointed .... especially grateful for grab rail and non slip mat as shower was over bath.

Bon emplacement pour rayonner en voiture dans une région intéressante au niveau touristique. Parking gratuit soit juste devant la maison, soit dans la rue. Logement calme et propre.

Accueil assez froid et flexibilité limitée au niveau des horaires d'arrivée (entre 16h et 18h30 et donc pas plus tard, au risque de devoir patienter un bon quart d'heure devant la porte vers 20h), sachant que les messages envoyés ne sont pas toujours lus dans les 24h. Chambre très petite et escalier raide. Petit-déjeuner varié et copieux, mais pas mal de produits industriels... Au final un rapport qualité-prix assez moyen.

Es fing mit einem herzlichen Empfang auf 4 Pfoten an. Danach begrüßte uns die freundliche Gastgeberin und zeigte uns unser extrem sauberes und gemütliches Zimmer. Beim Frühstück wussten wir nicht was wir zuerst essen sollten. Es gab wirklich alles. Das beste Frühstück auf unserer ganzen Rundreise durch Irland. Vielen lieben Dank

The breakfast was a lovely spread of choices: fresh fruit, yogurt, toaster pancakes and bagels, various cheeses and cold meats. Lovely. I had a quiet place to read and work too. The Wi-Fi was good.

Das Frühstück war extrem gut. Von Lachs, Käse, Wurst, verschiedenen Brotsorten, Joghurt, frischen Heidelbeeren, Müsli und Pancakes war alles reichlich vorhanden.

Mein Zimmer war gemütlich eingerichtet, das Frühstück sehr gut. Alles ist sehr sauber! Zum Haus gehört auch ein sehr freundlicher Hund 🐕.

Peggy ist eine liebe und herzliche Gastgeberin und zaubert ein unglaublich leckeres und ausgewogenes Frühstück.

Eine wirklich großartige Gastgeberin, wie man sie selten findet. Für mich auf dieser Tour das authentischste B&B. Danke dafür.

Lovely, friendly hostess, who very kindly gave me a lift back to town on 2 occasions to save me walking! Lovely dog too, called Twinkle. Ample continental breakfast with a vast variety of food. Delicious homemade bread and cakes, bagels, and others, as well as cereals, fresh fruit salad, ham, salami, many cheeses, etc! Very comfy bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. Situated in a nice, quiet part of town. Highly recommend staying here.

Peggy is lovely and so helpful. She even lent us walking sticks for our hike and the breakfast was gorgeous

Breakfasts were excellent! There was more than I could eat and the variety of food on offer was amazing.Mrs Downing is a wonderful hostess and nothing was too much trouble to make my stay memorable. I would happily recommend Bru Na Pairc,B & B,to any traveller wishing to stay in Bantry.

Nothing could have been better. Mrs Downing had gone to great lengths to prepare the dining room and the bedroom. My thanks to her for a wonderful stay.The house certainly lived up to its name - Bru Na Pairc -a warm welcome in the park!

Every detail was given attention. The room was impeccably clean and located in a nice, quiet area. The room was nicely decorated and lacked nothing. Peggy made sure it was cool enough in our room by giving us a fan and even changing out bedding for us. The lattes and breakfast were fantastic. We felt absolutely taken care of!! Could not ask for a better hostess! Twinkle was a wonderful ambassador for the property. We were greeted and escorted to the door and to our car every time we left.

That I had to leave it. I loved being there and Twinkle and Peggy were so welcoming.

Lovely and clean b/b, very comfortable beds & pillows. Large towels for showering, loads of hot water. Great breakfast choices. Peggie is a wonderful host. Wishing you well Peggie x

Had every facility you needed in the room, breakfast superb and host really helpful

There is no hot tub, just a bath in one room for one person, very misleading. Small double room is really a single.

La proprietaria Peggie è stata gentilissima e accogliente, nonostante il nostro check in sia avvenuto più tardi del previsto per problemi legati al nostro viaggio. La nostra camera era pulitissima,dotata di ogni comfort e di qualsiasi cosa potesse esserci utile: prese con adattatore,bollitore,tè e caffè,dolcetti,asciugamani profumati e accappatoi morbidissimi. Tutto davvero impeccabile. La colazione è andata oltre le nostre aspettative,con buffet vario e freschissimo. Frutta,yogurt,prodotti dolci e salati di alta qualità. Ci ha anche fatto trovare del latte d'avena, dato che la mia compagna non consuma latticini. Esperienza eccellente, struttura super consigliata.

Tutto era perfetto.

Die Zimmer sind sauber und man hat alles, was man braucht. Beispielsweise gab es 4 Kissen zur Auswahl, welche auch alle unterschiedlich waren. So findet jeder seins. Es gab sogar beheizte Decken (auch wenn wir die nicht gebraucht haben). Es ist an alles gedacht. Im Treppenhaus stehen Flaschen mit Wasser, falls die Flasche auf dem Zimmer nicht ausreicht. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Es war viel, super lecker, größtenteils lokal (Käse, Fisch,...) - und das inbegriffen bei diesem Preis! Die Gastgeberin Peggy ist herzlich, zuvorkommend und definitiv für einen Spaß zu haben.

Das zählt zwar nicht, weil es nicht wirklich negativ ist, aber der erste Eindruck von außen täuscht. Es ist klein und nicht modern, aber das macht es mit allem anderen wieder wett (siehe positive Aspekte)

Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett, das Zimmer sehr sauber und das Frühstück war fantastisch. Selbst gebackene Muffins und qualitativ hochwertige Produkte bei der Frühstücksauswahl. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Der Standort des B&B war für uns perfekt.

Sehr saubere Zimmer und gut ausgestattet, mit Kaffeekocher, Tee, Heizdecke im Bett, Ladeadapter und man hat sehr viel Auswahl beim Frühstück und es ist wirklich sehr gut. Die Besitzerin ist auch sehr freundlich.

Everything, Peggie made sure nothing is missing. I was surprised with all the details she thought of. First time to have a host offering food containers to get some food/fruits from the breakfast to have for the day. We loved id! The location is also great if you wanna visit the surroundings.

Enjoyed the breakfast, though it should be made clear that it's continental style self-serve buffet, no hot food. OK if known in advance; this owner is lovely, and was formerly well known for her gourmet breakfasts at a communal table. Since Covid all has changed. Still a great place; car advisable.
