The heat system run steady, loud, hard to sleep. Bed was a little to firm for my liking.

Breakfast was adequate. We liked the hot items available. Beds were comfortable and room quiet. Didn't hear road noise and minimal noise between units. Good value for the cost.

Very well kept

We went with the cheapest room (single queen) and it was roomy and clean with some amenities. But at the lowest price, it came with only one pillow per side of the bed, one night stand, cable access with a limited package and a pair of chairs with thin cushioning. Breakfast was simple and the dining area was kept clean. So overall it was just okay in amenities but superior in cleanliness and staffing.

This hotel was well priced! Our room was very nice and had everything:bar fridge, microwave, double hot plate in equipped kitchen area, roomy bathroom and very updated. I’d definitely stay here again. Kind and helpful staff. The location was on the north edge of town just on the industrial area by U-Haul, walkable to amenities.

Whoever is in charge of taking photos for this property deserves a raise. The photos online look NOTHING like the rooms do in person. The whole building is dark & so musty smelling. The rooms are also incredibly dark, outdated and smell even more musty than the rest of the building. The beds are horribly uncomfortable and the rooms are not comfortable at all. My window didn’t even open! That’s a fire hazard is it not?! It’s so incredibly dark, the two lamps don’t help the one hallway light much and if you open the curtains, they don’t even have a sheer curtain to use so that people cannot see into the room. You either have to have it closed and it’s completely dark or open and people can see into your room. I almost paid $200 for 2 nights and honestly, it should have been less than $50 for 2 nights based on the state of this inn.

Highly recommend! Cozy, spotless, comfortable bed. Nicely decorated and maintained property. Unbelievable value for the price. Skip the chain hotels and stay at this place! Bonus - there is a balcony in the rooms.

There was an electrical box near the curtains with a bright light inside, only noticed after turning lights out, so had to get up and cover it with curtain. From the outside the building looked basic and functional.

Threw booking.com I was quoted $75.65 with no tax to be paid and they charged me $84. Won't stay again

Everything was good to excellent, except the TV. The volume did not work at all, i had to get the night manager just to get it to come on. Finally I just shut it off and went to sleep.

That it was set up so that I could cook my own meals. The parking lot was nice and large.

When I was there, it was in the middle of the snow melt so the parking lot was a little icy at times

I didn't get in tell late and no one was there 😕 had to stay in a different hotel

This is a low cost, good value property for basic accommodation. It's ideally situated for people working in the industrial areas in and around Drayton Valley. I was there for a weekend event at the Legion, and it was walking distance for that as well. Positives include very clean, great price and quiet. Drawbacks for me were difficulty getting enough heat in the room, and hot water not being hot enough for my showers. Rooms are worn, but functional.

The Location was very convenient, The room was clean and had a kitchenette. Everything to make your own little meal. Staff are very friendly and helpful,

Breakfast could do better, no warm meal like eggs, soccitches or pancakes,

Very minimalist. You get what you pay for. Breakfast is bleak. The owner lives in the hotel so you always have to ring the front desk and summon him. One facecloth for two people. One stirstick and coffe condiments for us. Like I said the place is definitely bare bones, dark and desolate.

The hotel was very quiet with very few guests over the weekend. It was hard to get hot water due to no one was using it. There was only one pillow each. Breakfast was continental with no hot options, just so you know. There were hard boiled eggs. For the price it was good.

The tub was kind of dirty around the drain. But everyone there is great. Great for a quick stay and very well priced.

I've been impressed with the cheaper hotels in Drayton Valley. But I would have to say this one has been the best so far. Very clean, and nice features in the room. I very much like having my own balcony and stove top.

The breakfast was minimal but adequate. The jams and honey were very thick (maybe a little old already?). Only powdered creamer, no yogurts. We only spent one night so it was sufficient. The location worked for us. Everything was clean.

The toilet didn’t seem to flush that well, but overall everything was adequate.

It was a clean quiet property, with kind staff

We stayed here twice on the front and back of a motorcycle trip through the mountains. Both times the owners were wonderful to deal with. This is a true bargain - not only is it the cleanest hotel we’ve stayed at in years but the owners are wonderful to deal with. The only downside we found was having to go elsewhere to eat as there wasn’t a restaurant in the hotel. Highly recommend!

Hotel is in an industrial area catering mainly to oilfield workers. But they were very accommodating to my needs as a mature woman travelling alone. Rooms are spacious with good amenities. Very friendly staff.

The put me on the Main floor unit, but there was lots of noises were coming from second floor. Because it was not soundproof, so I could hear people talking on the second floor, walking, opening drawers, and everything, so it was distracting my sleep. Those people on the second floor slept late, and in the morning at 5:30 am they woke up started making noise again. If I would’ve been on top floor, I would’ve been sleeping better! No breakfast

This inn was way better than what I was expecting. It was clean, the room was large and had a microwave, coffee pot, and fridge. It was really nice and the price was so reasonable.

There was nothing that I did not like.

All we wanted was a clean room, clean, comfortable bed and a hot shower in the morning. The room had a smell but it was reasonably clean. The bed was not comfortable but clean. There was only lukewarm water available so we couldn’t shower. That is why I am giving this place a poor rating.

tv was so confusing to use. could not adjust the volume at all or get any of the specialty streaming to work. Rooms need brighter and/or more lighting. Hotel also needs luggage racks.

If you are looking for a basic place to stay that is clean - this is it. Not too many frills but a comfortable bed to sleep on and clean bathroom to get ready in. A little disappointed in the toilet that didn't flush properly but all in all it was good.

Quiet, cleans and tidy, would use again if I’m in the area

It was advertised as a pet-friendly hotel and we had a reservation. We were turned away when we got there. He said there was only one pet-friendly room and it was taken. We drove more than an hour more to find another place after 10 PM

An OK stay in Drayton Valley. The new owners or managers are working hard to make this place accommodating. The property has been hard used previously. Amenities such as restaurant and casino advertised on the website no longer exist. The continental breakfast offered was more than adequate and much appreciated.

Passing through DV late at night, I was hesitant to find a place to stay as by rather exhausted body was ready to fall asleep. This is where Home Away Inn at DV saved me, as I walked to the check in counter and was greeted by friendly staffs, I immediately knew, this place was esoteric for me to sleep through the night. From the moment I set myself into the bed, I was gulped by the comfort and the comforting amenities you can get calmed me. As morning approached, I was starving for some breakfast and I was treated to many food that fulfilled me for the day. Overall, this place was amazing compared to dozens of other hotels I stayed in, with this price. The staffs were so affectionate during my stay and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay at DV wether it’s for a day or for few weeks, as Home Away Inn at DV will be perfect answer to everyone. -Riley

It was a great stay. I was able to book with very little heads up and they upgraded my room due to some maintenance in the room I had booked.
