The bed was really comfortable but unfortunately the room doesn‘t have a lot of light as the window is really small

it was really noisy, we were woken. up every day by a screaming child and there was construction work going out

Wat een mooi hotel. Het was tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Heel smaakvol ingericht. De eigenaren zijn heel vriendelijk en attent. Ze sturen je van tevoren al informatie over Mechelen, over de locatie en over parkeermogelijkheden.

De ligging was top en de kamer prachtig!

Our host, Kurt, was extremely convivial, knowledgeable and funny. The breakfast (additional cost) was outstanding. It was a beautiful building and well located for the station and the centre.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Verzorgde maar kleine kamer maar had alles wat we nodig hadden. Je hoort wel goed de buren als zij iets verschuiven.

Kurt was there to warmly welcome us and provide all information for our stay. Breakfast was brilliant, fresh locally sourced produce, all delicious. Bed were super comfy, all our particular needs met, nothing too much trouble. Excellent location, near train station and the historic centre.

Superb location, Staff was super nice, I arrived very late at night, so I got a Whatsapp message beforehand with instructions on how to get instide and where to go. Everything was on point. 10/10 would recommend! Breakfast the first day was a selection of fine local cheeses with bread, self made biscoff in medieval way, self-made marmalade. everything was excellent. Breakfast for the second day I chose eggs, they were made on demand, scrambled as i wanted, also in a medieval way with a nice explanation of spices and aromas used. Everything was top quality.

Nothing, everything was as expected or even better.

Voor mij was de douche geen topper. Niet geschikt voor mijn haar. De verneveling zorgde voor frisee haar 🙄

The entire house is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. My bedroom was huge and a gorgeous dark green colour. The products in the bathroom were really good and the shower was also an original and pleasant surprise. (I'll leave you to try it and see what you think).

Zeer hartelijke gastvrije host die er alles aan doet om het verblijf je naar de zin te maken. Heerlijke bedden en de inrichting is met zorg samengesteld. Het ontbijt was geweldig met lokale producten, tevens met zeer veel zorg bereidt. Kortom zeer gastvrij verblijf met alles tot in de puntjes voor elkaar!

De waskamer lag naast die van ons en gaf in de zondagochtend wat overlast.

We vonden het geweldig om hier te verblijven. Kurt was enorm gastvrij en heeft ons ook zeer goede adviezen gegeven voor ons verblijf in Mechelen. Het ontbijt was fantastisch, de kamer prachtig, de bedden zeer comfortabel. Al met al een absolute aanrader!

Prachtige sfeervolle kamers, schoon en nieuw. De aankomst was goed geregeld en de host was zeer vriendelijk.

Alles was perfect. Heel gastvrij en behulpzaam, geweldige kamer met badkamer, super ontbijt alles vers en met als verrassing zalige kaasjes. En op loopafstand van het centrum.

Zo'n warm welkom door de gastheren, fantastisch!! Mooie kamers, fijne douche en heerlijk ontbijt. Heel sfeervol. Een enorme aanrader.

Great host, very informative and caring. Breakfast was perfect - super tasty home-made Granola, supported with a nice espresso macchiato and apple ginger juice. Rooms are spacious, bed and pillows extra cozy, shower very special:)

Lovely find. Building is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The service from Kurt was excellent, really helpful and personal which added a nice touch to an overall lovely stay. Will definitely be back!

Everything! The entire B&B and the room were beautifully decorated and nicely outfitted. Kurt was a kind, knowledgeable host who made our stay memorable. His breakfast, especially the eggs, will live in our memory forever. Beyond delicious!

Er is weinig toe te voegen aan alle voorgaande recenties. Alles klopt. Daarnaast zijn het hele sympathieke mannen met oog voor mens en milieu. Daar word ik blij van. Zeker tot ziens!

We just had the most perfect weekend in this B&B. Everything was just perfect, great location, great rooms with comfy beds and superb bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the hosts were very welcoming and charming. Really recommended!

High level of satisfaction.

Zo’n mooi art-deco decor, prachtige kunst aan de muren, en een warm welkom van Kurt die ons ook vertelde over de geschiednis van Mechelen, heel bijzonder en we komen zeker terug voor meer dagen genieten!

We zijn verrast door de oude en erg aantrekkelijke binnenstad van Mechelen. Maar Kurt en de accomodatie met het heerlijke ontbijt maakte ons weekend onvergetelijk! Niet alleen gastvrijheid en service waren bijzonder, ook de persoonlijke "touch" van Kurt hebben een diepe indruk achter gelaten. Gaan we zeker herhalen!

Front desk lady was unpleasant and was letting everybody cut me making me wait an extra 30 minutes For no reason. Otherwise, the other front desk, people were very nice and helpful, and the property was just as shown.

Our host Kurt was absolutely so wonderful and kind and made us feel very welcomed. I normally don’t wrote reviews but I would be doing a disfavor if I didn’t. I even overslept after my stay and he was kind to let us have a few extra minutes for checkout. Absolutely a great host and the location was perfect.

I like everything. I cannot say anything negative about the room or property.

Clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable, beautifuly decorated rooms with great bed linens and bath products. The host, Kurt, is so gracious and helpful with tips on things to see and places to eat. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! We could not eat breakfast the second day because of our flight time and Kurt made us breakfast to go and left it in the fridge for us. Everything is so well designed and thoughtfully arranged. Truly a 5 star place to stay!

Great location and walking distance from the train station. Clean rooms!! Kurt was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. He even allowed us to check in early. He provided a great history of Mechelen and the area. I loved the shower and the natural products (shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner). I definitely would stay there again!

The bathroom had a glass door, but we made it work. We used a lapa/beach sarong, and everything was great!

Really cool rooms with a great host who was super knowledgeable and able to help out on things to do not only in Mechelen but all of Belgium. Easy to get to from main train station and easy walk into main square

The property owner or manager idk who it is came into my room while I was gone and went through my stuff to take a photo of a glass I used as an ashtray and accused me of smoking in the room and may charged me €200 for an assumption… I’m a 22 year old girl staying by myself I’m genuinely so disturbed and scared to be having to sleep here tonight it’s currently 2am and I can’t sleep cause of this experience, not to mention I brought a friend home from Tomorrowland to hang out with me and I was told I wasn’t allowed any visitors even though I paid for 2 people to be here and my friend who was supposed to be staying couldn’t come anymore which is why a friend I happen to run into at the festival offered to get me home safely. He knocked on my door almost every single morning and woke me up. Genuinely so disgusted with this place and would not recommend anyone stay here unless you want to feel extremely uncomfortable and scared for your privacy. Cant believe a grown man would go through a 22 year old girls room who’s alone and I still do not know when he chose to do that which is what is even creepier like was he waiting for me to leave to go to Tomorrowland yesterday? Was it when I was sleeping? I haven’t left the room today besides to quickly go down and grab Uber eats so overall terrible experience and can’t stress enough DO NOT STAY HERE.

The concept of this boutique b&b is so different, for the people who’s looking for homey place to stay, i recommend this boutique b&b. I personally satisfied with everything.

This is where you want to stay in Mechelen. 25 minutes from Antwerp and 25 minutes from Brussels. Amazing ice cream at the Cacao Project. Lovely host, who is happy to give you lots of terrific sightseeing and dining options. Beautiful.

Such a nice host. I highly recommend. Close and walkable to many shops. If you park at bepark be aware that you will need an app or to call from your phone!

Kurt was a fantastic host, very friendly, open and helpful. I really liked the room - size, organic bathroom accessories and the shower :) Bed was very comfortable and had a nice sleep. Got personalised breakfast with juice, bread, jam from local sources and scrambled eggs from Porta' own chickens.

This one of the best B and Bs I have ever stayed in. Delightful in every respect. The room was large and comfortable, and stylishly fitted out with up to the minute mod-cons. The hosts Kurt and Michael were incredibly welcoming and friendly, they gave me a great restaurant recommendation, and put on a wonderful breakfast. Extremely convenient for the railway station. Mechelen is a real gem of a town. Thank you again for a lovely stay. David

Ssshh - this is the best kept secret in Mechelen. Book it for the fantastic spacious rooms, the comfy bed, the shower and toiletries. Alternatively book it for its sustainability, low energy use, home made granola, local cheese etc. Finally book it as the outstanding hosts make you feel truly welcome.

Great place in the quiet place of the town. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Warme ontvangst bij inchecken. De gastheer is een persoon die dit echt met hart en ziel doet. Je wordt als gasten echt in de watten gelegd en niets is teveel gevraagd. De kamer wordt bij een langer verblijf elke dag gepoetst. Het ontbijt is verzorgd en echt lekker. Een aanrader voor iedereen!

Clean, reasonable space. Nice bathroom. No elevator. Steep stairs, 2 floors. Basic breakfast. Noise from neighbour room. Very expensive.

Pretty much the perfect place to stay in Mechelen. Awesome location. Fabulous owners. Beautiful room. Great breakfast. Literally nothing to complain about, and please understand how difficult this is for a Brit, as complaining is our national hobby.

Fantastic home from home bed & breakfast. Incredibly friendly welcome and service. Room was very comfortable with great extras like Nespresso machine. Breakfast served in the room was excellent. Great central location too.
