Great position, parking at rear. Lovely owner & staff, dog friendly and classic furniture & furnishings. Will go back
The location was excellent . Bishopgate had a small private parking area . Hazel made us very welcome.
Cute old hotel right in the middle of Beaumaris. Cozy rooms. Breakfast was plenty and delicious! I would definitely stay there again.
Welcoming and friendly staff, breakfast service, location and the dog! Loved the age of the building and how some features remained, such as staircase, windows, beams etc. Staff very accommodating too and helpful. That makes the visit majority of time and it did on this occasion. Would recommend!!
Some furnishings and facilities are a little dated and need care, e.g. no hot water from bathroom sink tap, could do with a repaint for freshness. But I'm sure the owners are aware of these. No biggie, still a comfortable stay.
Great location for ferry to Dublin, easy trip to Holyhead next day. Staff very nice from check-in throughout our stay. Lovely breakfast all served freshly cooked to your table.
Room had beams and sloping ceilings which weren't good for my 6'4" husband, ask for a room without if you are above 5'8".
Plenty of choice at breakfast and the staff were lovely.
Very good
Nothing
Fab location close to everything. Beautiful building. Staff were amazing and breakfast was 5 star standard with lots of choice and top service.
Forget your glossy modern chain hotels where you queue with your plastic tray for your buffet breakfast, this hotel is good old fashioned style and comfort, with attentive staff who genuinely care about the guests, good food, peace and quiet and complete relaxation. Great location too with plenty to do on the doorstep. We didn't want to leave.
Nothing, couldn't fault it.
Good location and lovely staff
Although it was a single bed, the room itself was adorable. Everything pristine, felt almost like a Victoriana doll house. Check in was great, the staff were super dog friendly, my breakfast was set up so that I could eat in the bar with the doggy. Location was perfect, after parking up I literally had to go take photos of the mountains.
Parking was a bit tight, but since the hotel was fully booked, and some people don't know how to fint it into a space, not exactly the hotel's fault
Lovely staff and so helpful. Good sized room and comfortable beds.
Would have preferred walk in shower to shower in bath. But shower itself was good.
Stayed for two nights Nice room and very clean Comfortable bed and surprisingly good electric shower Good breakfast and the staff were lovely
Car park at the rear is very tight for modern cars
It was in a very convenient location for exploring the locality.
Although I understand why the car park was very tight for parking.
An old and architecturally interesting building. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. An excellent choice for breakfast. Right next door to the Liverpool Arms for evening meals.
All good thanks
Minor issue - Catching my head on attic eaves
Food was good
Poor internet coverage in room, had to use laptop in lounge.
Very friendly staff, great location, lovely breakfast and good value.
Small carpark
The hotel was spotlessly clean and we were greeted warmly when we arrived. The staff carried our bag up to our room which was on the third floor and the breakfast was first rate.
Being on the top floor, under a gable roof and in the heat of the summer in 2026, our room was incredibly hot. We were given a fan but it was still uncomfortable.
Beds were comfy, complimentary mineral water, friendly owner.
Expensive bar drinks.
Good location. Cosy and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Not a dislike, but if you have a big vehicle then the free car park is a bit awkward to park in.
Great location in the town. The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, couldn’t fault them on service. The breakfast was good especially the smoked haddock - wow!
Even though it’s an old and charming property, the place would benefit from a refresh and some updating. We stayed in one of their superior rooms and though good in size, we expected better. The bathroom is old, low quality bathroom condiments and our bed mattress had collapsed, so uncomfy and noisy. The car park is really tight. If you have anything larger than a mid size car, treat yourself and others to parking elsewhere. However, overall it’s not bad value in Beaumaris when you check out other options.
Great setting - our clean, comfortable room looked out over the bay, which was lovely. Right on the main street of Beaumaris, so easy to get around. Enjoyed a visit to Beaumaris Castle and the Courthouse and Jail! Breakfast was fine, served by pleasant staff.
Car parking is very tight, but there is public parking very close. Bar wasn't open the nights we were there, but there are plenty of places locally to eat and drink, so not a massive problem.
Location great and hotel characterful
Our small double room ,with low ceilings was a poor choice for our needs and a special occasion . The heat was challenging. In fairness, host pointed out that if we had booked direct , the nature of the room would have been discussed up front for an informed decision to be made . Staff helpful and pleasant . Breakfast lovely . Great views . Lots to like about the hotel itself .
Really enjoyed my stay and was made to feel really welcome. Lovely quaint single room and fab breakfast.
Have visited many times, always look forward to the breakfast which is consistantly good.
Great sized room and bathroom very comfy bed very good freshly cooked breakfast.
The sloping ceiling I banged my head but we have the same at home and I do there . I never learn.
The breakfast was good quality and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a pleasant outlook but the decor was tired.
Room decor
Breakfast was very tasty and all the staff very friendly and welcoming. Room we had (2) was a little dated and being in the roof-space had a low sloping ceiling to one side, but generally good. Quiet apart from the gulls! Very well situated just 30s walk into the town centre. Tight car park to rear of hotel but we fitted in ok.
We loved our short stay for my birthday weekend in Bishopsgate House Hotel. The staff could not have been nicer - we felt so very welcome. Special mention for Jen who was absolutely lovely and helpful. Great place to stay, delicious breakfasts and free parking at the back of the hotel. Such a great location - super easy to get to the beach, shops and restaurants. We've had a great time. Thank you!
All brilliant
Very hospitable staff. Great location.
Nothing
A fabulous guesthouse in the heart of Beaumaris. Our room was spacious, light and airy. We'll appointed rooms and the complimentary port and chocolates a lovely touch. Breakfast to order was fabulous and a drink in the bar was homely. Parking at the rear an added bonus. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Nothing.
Lovely Georgian building situated at the quieter part of the high street. Partial sea views, comfortable room and good breakfast. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful.
Tight spacing in car park- we should have smaller cars!! Bathroom could do with an update, just a quibble there.
It was great
Extremely friendly staff who patiently took their time to recommend places of interest, giving us valuable tips from locals. The beautiful listed hotel had a positive and calm atmosphere, making us feel very much at home, in an old worldly sort of way. The breakfasts were generous and delicious: quality products. There is also room for parking. Thank you to Hazel and her kind, welcoming team.
Nothing really.
Excellent location. Room and bathroom very spacious and very comfortable bed. Staff very helpful, informative and friendly. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Excellent evening meal on night restaurant open.
It was a shame restaurant not open more in evening as Hazel excellent chef. Decor rather dated in bedroom and some of other rooms.
Location is good very close to castle and boat trips. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast
Not good to have water dripping through the ceiling when you are eating breakfast. We chose this hotel as it had parking but spaces were small and very tight, couldn't have managed with a bigger car.
A lovely, traditional hotel. Very good location, with a car park to the rear. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a two night stay. Breakfast was table service, which we prefer. Food was freshly cooked and delicious-the sausages and bacon were really tasty. We would definitely recommend.
The room was lovely and cool and ice was provoded. brealfast was great. I had something different each day. wish I could have stayed longer. Nothing was to much trouble. I loved it. will be going again.
Nothing to dislike.
The hotel is in a fantastic location. Our first visit. We had a warm welcome from Hazel. All the team are friendly and welcoming. We had a comfortable room and enjoyed super breakfasts. Would happily have stayed longer.
Not applicable.
Good location friendly staff excellent service
The room was to tight its configuration was wrong ,you could only just get past the table in the room . No where to put your case
Excellent friendly reception. Good sized, peaceful room. Very comfortable. Excellent location. Quality service all round. Lovely historic building.
Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly yet professional. Our evening meal was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely going back
La stanza era davvero grande e affacciava praticamente sulla spiaggia, sentiva il rumore del mare.
Nulla in particolare.
From arrival, the welcome was very warm, everything efficient and all the staff were so helpful. Very generous size bedroom and bathroom (with shower and bath). The dining room was delightful and the service was first class and friendly. The quality of the produce was excellent ...fantastic breakfast all served to the table....very refreshing these days. The hotel benefits from a car park for residents at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend and return.
The location. The hotel was clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly.
My wife has severe arthritis in her knees and unfortunately we were ean attic room and the stairs were a killer for her.
Location near the sea and pubs, shops. Breakfast good and girls serving very pleasant. Twin bed room had comfortable beds although quite high ! Good facilities and very clean. Tea & coffee making facilities, bottles of water and a TV. There is a cute dog you can take for walks.
Nothing
Great location - walkable to everything. Comfortable large bed. Spacious room. Friendly staff.
Shower wasn't very powerful.
Breakfast excellent, and the location
The Bar could have been open longer hours
Excellent breakfast and dinner. Staff very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
Nothing really but PLEASE could someone buy them some WD40 (the creaking of the hinges on the front door and our bedroom door drove me mad!).
We liked the cosy and homely feeling of the hotel. The staff was friendly, always helpful and efficient and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was on the top floor, with the window on the main street of Beaumaris, a stone's throw of the sea. Having the use of a car park behind the hotel was a bonus.
Everything was fine.
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner superb. A good size room with a smart TV.
I liked everything.
Friendly, clean, historical hotel
Amazing stay , lovely staff, breakfast to order and beds were very comfortable.
Nothing
Excellent staff. Friendly, attentive ,helpful..all very good especially Jen. Great location. Sea view. Very good breakfast .
Our room although agreed as advertised as small ..was height restricted..as confirmed/mentioned by the owner on arrival..really would be better as a single now..
They provided more than you would expect. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to help
There was nothing I didn’t like
The room, although has a at one point a very low ceiling, you got used to it very quickly. Room was very comfortable, cosy and ,clean, and seating by the window which had a side view of the sea. Bathroom is very small, with the wash basin in the room. The shower was excellent. Breakfast is full waitress service. Excellent choice including Manx kippers. Quality was superb. Dinner on this particular week was not available. Two very relaxing lounges, one with a bar. Owner is a lovely lady.
Cant think.
It's a lovely quirky old building with lots of charm, located centrally in Beaumaris - and it has parking! Hazel, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the food in the restaurant is truly excellent.
Not a criticism but just a note, the car park is a bit tight!
Unfortunately the restaurant was not available for dinner during our visit. Breakfasts were excellent ( cooked to order ) not cold do it yourself style. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff went above and beyond to help whenever required. The big bonus was it's own private car park to the rear. Anyone who knows Beaumaris will appreciate the benefits of this facility.
Not really anything to fault for the price.
We loved the sumptuous decor and the traditional style of the hotel. Some of the touches (4 poster bed, sherry, chocolates…) made us feel very special indeed!
It was perfect for our short stay!
Lovely friendly staff, breakfast was very good, clean hotel, Beaumaris was a great place to visit, enjoyed the castle, The Gaol and courthouse. Shops quirky and food places also very good. Definitely would visit again.
room was very spacious with everything provided. Breakfast was super with a very good chive on offer
the evening meal was a little disappointing
The location was excellent the beds lovely and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. The host and staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble I had a lovely stay.
Staff lovely, breakfast excellent. Bed & room very comfortable, enjoyed our stay.
Lovely Host, blessed with a fantastic team of staff, we dined in the evening and the food was freshly prepared and superb, the following morning breakfast was great too and anything was catered for ,including having breakfast in the bar with our dog. The bar lends itself to having maybe a draught Lager and a real ale pump as it got quite busy but they only had cans of beer or bottles. In the evening the fire was lit in the bar for us and it was very cosy. The owner has a dog which is completely placid and came to say hello to ours without being in our dogs face.
The room we stayed in room 11, was quite dated ,however it was clean and had everything you could want, IE tea, coffee, milk sugar biscuits etc. It also had free wifi a tv and a phone in the room. Dressing table, wardrobe seating all adequate plus a bathroom with WC, sink and an over bath shower. The view from the window overlooks the back of the hotel and some rooftops. The car park was hidden out of the way but once found easy to access ( it was literally 30 steps to the front door from the carpark).
Friendly and helpful staff. Fabulous breakfast. Great location.
We stayed in a small double room which was a bit too small for my partner who is 6'3", due to the eaves sloping down towards the window, which impinged on the headroom.
great location. reasonable value. pleasant staff.
The whole place needs modernising. Beds were very high, wardrobe was huge. Parking was suitable for small cars ( very tight!) No evening meal available.
Location great, friendly staff. Breakfast good
Option for dinner and drinks finished early when we stayed. Shower basic
Good sized room (Room 1) and comfy bed.
Limited car park.
Staff and breakfast were excellent. Location also good.
Not informed of low ceiling when booking. So bumped head on beams when getting up during the night.
The Bishopsgate Hotel met all our expectations, staff friendly food exceptional
Nothing
The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The place was spotlessly clean and the food was excellent. Would recommend highly.
The location is great and includes free parking. The room was cosy. Small but comfortable. I was offered a double room instead of the single I'd booked, but I declined so it's my own fault! Useful to have some toiletries provided. The staff were lovely - very friendly and welcoming. Very interesting history of the building. The breakfast was good. Good value for money.
The bed was a bit uncomfortable for me and the room was very warm. An extra electrical extension lead would have been useful.
Friendly staff
Cosy , comfortable and very friendly. Beautiful views and handy for everything we wanted to do. Food very good evening meal especially good.
Nothing it met our needs.
Ideal location in the centre of Beaumaris. On site parking. Warm and welcoming The staff were all very friendly and helpful The room was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent and delicious.
Breakfast was very good ...excellent choice and quickly served. ..
Access to plugs for charging various devices was difficult because of where they were located
Very friendly staff. Amazing food.
Nothing
The staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, especially as I had taken a tumble off my bike earlier that day
All was good
A warm friendly welcome. An amazing room ( no 9) with a view of the sea and a deep bath as well as a shower The chef went the extra mile and provided a fantastic dinner for a friend with allergies . The wine selection was extensive . Beware you will put weight on if you stay here too long!
Nothing could be better
Location, staff very helpful and friendly and food was good quality. Very clean and dog friendly. Evening meal on Tuesday of Welsh lamb was amazing. Hazel is a brilliant chef and hostess.
Decor very old fashioned Ran out of yoghurt Charged for sparkling water when asked for it instead of juice tea or coffee
Friendly staff, great location, excellent food
Na
Lovely dinner area
Nice rooms
A gem of a hotel in a perfect location. Charming and comfortable with lovely staff - a special thank you to Hazel, who welcomed us so warmly and looked after us so well. Breakfast was excellent and the sherry and chocolate in the room was very much appreciated.
Nothing.
Great hotel in a fabulous location Hazel on reception was first class and made me feel really valued She offered me a free upgrade to a lovely room and arranged a taxi She was so professional Breakfast was really good and I was offered extra items and more toast and coffee on several occasions Really felt like the customers requirements were all that mattered
Nothing
Location Old world charm Friendly and helpful staff On site parking Good breakfast Very comfortable bed The upgrade was a pleasant surprise
None to be honest
Just so friendly and professional
Honestly cannot fault any of the staff or the hotel on anything. We were running late and so they called us to see what time we might arrive. Upon arrival we were advised that the kitchen was mostly closed but they were happy to do something for us - this was gone 9pm so was not expecting that at all. The whole hotel was amazing, all of the staff were excellent, friendly and beyond helpful, cannot rate everyone higher We had a meal in the restaurant on Valentine's and they managed to squeeze us in as a last minute booking, The food and experience was amazing, as was the breakfast options in the morning. Room was well proportioned with lovely decoration and was comfortable through out. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower hot.
Nothing really, if I was pushed and had to be picky, the car park is a bit tight, but then given the historic nature of the hotel it was not exactly built for the ever larger modern car so can't really hold it against the hotel
It’s charm, staff and location.
Nothing.
My stay was fabulous. I received a friendly greeting when I first arrived and offered an up grade. I had a fabulous sea view from a very comfortable room. Everything about my visit was lovely. Not forgetting the gorgeous resident dog 😁
All went well Breakfast was very good Just an all round nice place
not much
close to the sea
Very friendly staff. Excellent beakfast
Nothing
Location, cleanliness, a style of the room
A shower didn't work, which spoiled my impression of the hotel
Beautiful location. Clean room. Lovely, friendly staff and an excellent, cooked to order, breakfast.
Nothing, decor is little dated but in keeping with building and excellent value.
The homely appeal and atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent. Location fab!
Nothing
Very friendly staff and wonderful food
