Somos asiduos al Kip hotel y siempre contamos con él para las estancias en Hackney. Muy limpio comodo y sobre todo tranquilo y con todo a mano , transporte restaurantes comercios etc .

Por poner una objeción quizás el check-in a las 11 o 12 y el check-out a las 12 mejor que 11 sin cobrar Pero mientras seguiremos adaptándonos . Gracias

It was a rather affordable option for the location and the shared bathrooms were clean most of the time. It's a good option for a 1-2 day stay when you just need a place to crash and are not planning to be in the room any longer than for sleeping.

The room has no windows and seemingly no ventilation. It was always too hot, impossible to be there for more than just sleeping. I had to get up and air it by swinging the room door constantly. The corridor had AC but not the room. And also on the first day the toilet was clogged with diarrhea... On other days the space was clean though.

The room was clean but noises outside as its residential.

The access was not secure anyone could get into the building. This was a worry as I was a lone traveller .

Price. Location. Clean. Room size as advertised (small!). Free tea and coffee though not in room and not the best I have had. Shower very good, easy to control and get a good temperature - hot but not too hot. Liked the green palm wallpaper on 1 wall in second room. Made it brighter.

Didn't like mainly-black decor in first room, depressing. No fridge to leave food in even at reception - surely they could put a fridge there or one on each floor for visitor use? Too hot in room so my food spoiled. No aircon, no window and only a small fan that did not stop it becoming far too hot in room. Several degrees warmer than corridor. Tower fan in first small room was better however than fan in second larger room - that was weak and tiny - useless. I tried propping door open to cool room a bit but not much effect. I was sweating in both rooms though and I live in Australia with no aircon so am used to heat but this was too much.

Great location, room very clean and well decorated.

AC/ Heating not working, poor audio quality of the TV. No kettle available in the room but you can request in at réception - but bring your own tea/ coffee.

All necessities were there, close to station, shops required next to hotel, staff very helpful

As I've said previously a very small room in a very modern block right next to Hackney Central. Ideal for one or two nights with quick transport links, in this case to Camden.

Clean. Staff was nice.

No AC. No washcloths in showers. No cleaning between days of stay. Beds felt like rocks. Pillows were awful. TV was on kids side of family suite.

Awful awful awful. The worst place I have ever stayed! Please stay in a travelodge or somewhere else. The rooms are like a cupboard. No windows. The aircon is broken in every room which was not told to me when I booked. The fan was broken - staff said they didn’t have any others to replace it with. So very claustrophobic. Staff horrible and rude and didn’t want to help at all. The bed caved in the middle really badly so it was so uncomfortable.

Everything was appalling. Travelodge looks like a 5 star hotel in comparison. Avoid!!!

Ottima posizione: l’hotel si trova a pochissimi metri dalla stazione di Hackney Central e la fermata dell’autobus è proprio di fronte. Molto comoda anche la possibilità di effettuare il check-in a qualsiasi ora, che ci ha permesso di arrivare tranquillamente all’1:30 di notte. Le camere sono moderne e pulite.

Se devo trovare un aspetto negativo, direi il lavandino del bagno: era talmente piccolo da risultare scomodo persino per lavarsi il viso.

It was clean and nice inside. Comfy bed.

Noisy, can hear neighbours and all sorts of sounds. No windows. A shame receptionist didn't speak about the free coffee.

Perfect location as attending a gig at The Oslo, and right next to the station. Very convenient for a one night stay if you need no luxuries

Could use a little TLC to make it more comfortable. Walls are very, very thin so you hear every noise. Did not feel private at all. The room got exceptionally hot with no fresh air anywhere. Additional towels would be good so you aren't sharing bath mats to step on after a shower. Would probably book elsewhere next time

Bien comunicado con el metro de Londres, nos facilitaron secador y adaptador.

Las camas eran muy incómodas y las almohadas muy finas, la ducha salía solo un chorro de agua con mucha potencia y te duchabas incómodamente, no nos pusieron toalla de manos en todo el viaje, a pesar de limpiar la habitación, la habitación no tiene aire acondicionado, en algún momento pasamos calor, no tiene ningún armario para guardar equipaje.

I got a great deal Minimalist but everything you need Charging ports, tv, small wardrobe and good sized private bathroom

No window in my room - not a problem in my opinion considering the fair price. But thought I would include so others know! Only negative is that the intercom outside isn’t very good / you can’t hear the staff so it was difficult to get into the property originally. The receptionist said this is a known problem

Same as everyone else the lack of minimum level of air ventilation in the tiny single room. Bearable for a few hours of sleep and reviews prepared me but it’s indeed pretty stupid to not have something as basic as oxygen supply / fresh air to a tiny room.

I booked 3 room for 8 adults inthe hotel to sleep and get some rest. They called police on us . They woke us up . Which isn’t fair

Very small room, a wobbly shower head and big gaps in the shower door meant anytime we took a shower the bathroom floor would be drenched. Lots of outside noise (trains/cars). Very uncomfortable bed.

The staff were professional, friendly & extremely helpful. Excellent location. Check in is seamless. Bathroom is clean, they are the highlights of the property.

the circulation of air was super bad. the room got so hot! the fan that can be requested, circulates warm air within the space around. It’s NOT a cooler type of device.. it’s more of a heater / fan device. Horrible experience, almost all of the other patrons within the units slept with their doors ajar.. I booked to get some reading and writing done, but it was super uncomfortable due to the lack of good circulation. - I opened mine too a couple of times to get the circulation in, but the idea was to lock in and get some writing done. 😮‍💨 not worry about air circulation. Please address this for future stays. Your staffs service delivery is excellent and it’s heartbreaking that the soft service is losing out to the hardware part of the property.

The room is clean and the location is great. Kip is perfect if you just need an affordable place to crash.

The rooms aren't super well soundproofed. I could hear footsteps on the stairs and I could hear someone watching TV down the hallway, My room also didn't have any windows so it felt very stuffy. They don't provide drinking water, but you can ask for tap water in a paper cup at the reception.

Great value for money! Clean, modern and an excellent location. You really couldn't ask for more, considering the price.

De grootte van de kamer viel ons reuze mee! Ik heb de kamer samen met een kind gedeeld en er stonden twee eenpersoonsbedden in. Ondanks de twee bedden was er nog meer dan voldoende bewegingsruimte. De kamer voelde daardoor ruim en comfortabel aan.

Logement très pratique pour un voyage solo. Tout est propre. Le quartier est sympathique.

J’avais une chambre sans fenêtre où il faisait plutôt chaud. J’avais un appareil pour brasser l’air mais ça pourrait être amélioré.

room was hot and stuffy, aircon didn't work and the windows only opened a fraction. Quiet room not avatialble as next to a railway track, but not much to be done about that. Show was horrible. Shower head blocked with limescale, which meant only a few working outlets for water.

A shockingly disappointing stay, especially as a returning customer. I booked the Penthouse Studio for three nights and the air conditioning was not working. The room became so hot that I could barely sleep on the first night, leaving me exhausted the following day. What made this particularly frustrating is that I have stayed at Kip before and had working air conditioning, which was one of the reasons I chose to return. I also found information describing the bedrooms as air conditioned, yet when I complained I was told that air conditioning is not something they sell or advertise and therefore no refund would be offered. I was initially given a fan, but it was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep with it running. The fan was then removed/replaced while I was out, without anyone informing me. Although the replacement fan was better, a fan is hardly an equivalent replacement for air conditioning in a Penthouse Studio. I raised the issue with the hotel and explained that I had been unable to sleep properly, but despite acknowledging that the hotel’s air conditioning system is broken and can work in some rooms but not others, they refused any refund or meaningful compensation. For a hotel I have used regularly, the response was extremely disappointing. I stayed for the remainder of the booking because I was already there and needed accommodation for work, but this experience has made me seriously question whether I would ever stay at Kip again.

I like the style of the rooms. Air conditioning. Decent size TV. Soap, towels provided.

Clean, quiet and right next to Hackney Central Station. Reception made me a nice coffee as there's none in the rooms.

I'm good with technology but couldn't for the life of me get the TV working, it had 'no signal'. I could have notified reception but was in bed so really couldn't be bothered to get dressed and go to ask them.

Check-in/out was very easy to navigate / rooms were clean / shower was most welcomed!

We couldn't get the aircon to work - there are a lot of lights flashing around the room - the aircon system, the TV and the smoke alarm?!

There is very little good to say other than the mediocre location in Hackney Wick

No windows in the room, which was also a box room you could barely turn sideways in. It was difficult to breathe as there is no air-con either; no fan, even, during the height of summer. The walls are paper thin and I was woken several times by other poor sods who had stopped here accidentally slamming into the walls when they turned in their sleep. Totally alien from the pictures they provide on here and extremely poor value. On top of this the communal areas are absolutely filthy.

The room was simple and cute. I like that it was next to the hackney central easily to get around where we need to go

Reasonably priced hotel for London. Basic accommodation but as expected. Staff were great and room was comfortable and clean.

I wasn't keen on the sliding toilet/shower room door which left a huge open gap. Also, it was very hot when we visited - we were given two fans, both of which didn't work.

The shower head attachment in room 511 was loose so had to use it manually

El personal es super amable, explican condiciones y derechos claramente, esta ubicado en una zona muy bonita y hay muchisimos sitios para comer y comprar cualquier cosa. La habitación súper acogedora, tienen aire acondicionado por lo que no tuvimos que preocuparnos por el clima en pleno agosto. El baño super limpio y tienen buena presion de agua. Espacioso y agradable, definitivamente volveria a quedarme alli!

I liked the room very much

The aircon would turn off after a few minutes and we needed to leave the window open because we couldn't breath well our noses where getting stuffed up.

It was conveniently located next to hackney central overground and was walking distance to the event I was going to.

When I booked a small double room, I didn't expect to be in a converted cleaners cupboard. I am a short guy, 5ft 7 and I could almost touch every wall in the room whilst laying on the bed. Due to this being an internal room, there was no windows and the room was stiflingly hot, there was an air conditioning unit but this didn't work, and there was a token gesture fan in the room. The shower filled with water because the plug was blocked up and the TV remote had clearly never even seen a wet wipe.

1 small lift for the whole hotel - which took ages to go up or down to the room. Loud neighbourhood and not very well soundproofed. Bad smell of drains in the bathroom. No parking nearby - only residential streets. Dodgy area to be alone at night if checking in late.

Great location. Unsure about the negative comments we’ve read. There was hardly any noise, the room was clean and in a fantastic location. Easy to come in and out.

A couple of minor issues like a light out and one of the sinks being blocked but nothing that ruined the stay.

The location was insane - couldn't have been closer to the overground. Very clean, modern, and tidy. The staff were helpful and friendly. No issues signing in or activating the key card. I was very happy with the price, and due to my Genius perk I was given free late check out, which meant a shower before my train, and not having to lug my bag around - perfect!!!

No coffee or tea facilities in the room. I'm a zombie without caffeine, so had to drag myself outside to get my fix. But this is a very minor slight when compared to how good it was overall

La dutxa era al sostre, per la qual cosa no et podies rentar sencera. A banda, has de posar el cartellet de "netejar l'habitació" si vols que la netegen, és un poc confós.

To be fair this was my fault but read extra carefully the description of the room! room did not have AC, a window or proper ventilation, it got HOT even though the outside temperatures of London weren’t actually high at all. Weirdly, my room did have an actual AC unit and a control for it but it didn’t work and when I went to the front desk to ask about it they weren’t too helpful! Also, beware that late checkout is not free! £20 charge PER hour.

Receptionist (woman) wasn’t very helpful in my request for a fan on the hottest day of the year. My room was over 40 degrees. Hotels should provide fans if AC isn’t present. When I initially booked the room in May, it was advertised with AC. They removed this by the time I stayed in August. I would have booked a cheaper hotel if I knew the AC feature had been removed.

The hotel itself great location, bed was comfy. Housekeeping staff were an incredible help.

We had an awful experience, we had booked two rooms at the hotel in advance for a concert and when we arrived, they checked us in and once in our room the staff called to say our other room wasn't available due to a fire recently, and that we should have had a message about this. I checked and we had only one message from them on booking.com saying they may not be able to accommodate us - they did not cancel the booking reservation or make any other attempt to contact us. Our friend was already nearly there after travelling three hours, we asked if we could have a sofa bed which the host initially agreed. After nearly an hour my partner went to find out what was going on, to be told there were no sofa beds and they couldn't do anything other than provide blankets. I am grateful to the house keeping staff, I wish I could remember his name as he was so helpful and got us all the duvets he could manage and made up a bed. My friend has to sleep on this on the floor. It was also a heatwave and the aircon was not working and the windows are sealed so no air could come in either. Had we not had these issues I would have highly recommended the hotel, but the communication was useless. I felt for the guy working on the welcome desk as he was clearly flustered and it was not his fault, but it shouldn't have got that far in the first place. Why hotels can't just call to confirm if there are issues baffles me.

Always clean, with friendly staff. On this occasion especially Nina, who is super sweet! And the location is very convenient.

Unfortunately aircon was not working so the room was rather stuffy despite having the window open. The mattress seemed to be sagging slightly in the middle and probably needs changing, although I still managed to sleep.

Room was slightly smaller than anticipated, but as a solo traveler this wasn’t too big of an issue, everything else was great!

The stuff are not friendly. They should put a smile on their faces and welcome customers. Please time if the pillows in the rooms can be at least 4 that would be great. Hope to see a change next time I visit.
