This hotel was amazing Thai was my husband and i’s first trip to Rome the room was clean the staff were all so nice and the rooms are just a true taste of Rome it’s very quiet yet so close to all the main landmarks we were able to walk everywhere room was clean and comfortable

War im Centrum von Rom, war sauber und freundliche personal. Leider waren sie im Gebäude am umbauen , das heisst der Lärm war gross, bohrmaschime lief scho um 8:00 uhr. Ansonsten super gutes hotel.

The Hotel was amazing and the staff very accommodating. Just a couple of gripes . They forgot to give me the code for the gate, and there were work men drilling holes next door. Apart from that I enjoyed waking up to the sound of a hammer drill, and enjoyed talking to strangers at 3 am in the morning when I had to miss a nights sleep because I couldn’t get into the hotel.

Tres bon accueil. On se sent comme à la maison. Vraiment d’une grande propreté. Aussi bien pou le ménage que le linge. Placé à côté du metro barberini donc facilement accessible. Sécurisé ! Aucun bruit ! Important dans Rome ! Je recommande.

This was a guest house that was very clean with beautiful and clean rooms, daily housekeeping and safe place with secured entrance. The staff Bruno and Hillary welcomed us at the check in and provided helpful information. My husband and I enjoyed the short walking distance to many restaurants, Gelato stands and shopping areas as well as Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Parthenon, Museums, churches, the River and many other site seeing areas. We took uber to Colosseum and Vatican City. Over all a great stay and we recommend this place especially for the location and price.

This is a great place to stay. Central to everything and very quiet and very clean. The staff is really helpful and accommodating.

Lucrezia and her team were so helpful in making our brief stay very comfortable. She arranged our airport transfer, offered tons of recommendations, and was very attentive at making sure everything was going well for us. Thank you for everything!

The host was very responsive and staff were nice too. Room was clean and very comfortable bed within a walking distance from the famous landmarks and metro. Will definitely recommend!

Pros: The location is ideal for exploring the historical parts of Rome, offering proximity to everything and utmost convenience. The room was satisfactory, with everything functioning well. We communicated with the host via WhatsApp, which worked perfectly. Both check-in and check-out were remote, with clear and understandable guidelines. Cons: The rooms are quite small, and staying here with kids would be challenging. Although the room was clean, it didn't meet hotel standards. Overall, you get what you pay for, but we found it to be excellent value for the money. I recommend this place to travelers without kids who prioritize location and exploring the city over luxurious comfort.

Amazing stay, excellent location to some of the main sites and very near one of the metro stops, rooms clean and spacious, Lucrezia and Bruno were both super friendly and helpful throughout the stay :)

Great place! I just had to walk from the train station; and from there you are right on the the center of Rome. Our host, Lucrezia, through Whatsapp, made communication so easy as for our checking and during our staying!

The rooms aren’t that good. You can hear everything while you’re in the room and everything going on and other rooms. The little old man at the front desk didn’t really wanna talk to me because I didn’t speak Italian. Hard to ask questions. No Wi-Fi in the room. The location is good. If you just need to come home and sleep it’s good enough.

Good place, very centrally located. Room was very very small, the pictures that we saw on the rooms were much bigger vs the tiny room we got. Everything else was good.

Lucrezia Borgia is the best hostess ever! Fun and extremely helpful. I had a big problem with a baggage delivery from a very incompetent Lufthansa service and she jumped right in to help me as much as possible she gave great recommendations for food and may other things - couldnt have been better- she made my stay in Rome terrific! Grazi Lucrezia!

Very good place to stay and they are very helpful. I’d recommend making sure the city tax fee is charged as shown on Expedia though. Also important to mention, they describe as having luggage storage, but it’s not a room, so your bags may be unattended in the common area.

Magnificent location! The place is charm and cozy. Staff is great and my family loved this place.

Stay was great. Check in was after hours and easily explained. Room was spacious for being in the middle of Rome. Metro station is very close. Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps both a short walk. My only issue with the room was the shower. It is small and is a fairly large step up from the floor.

Great location!! Considering Rome is a big city, it’s located close to some tourist attractions (10-15 mins walking) such as Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Piazza del Popolo. We loved our staying at this hotel. Considering the high prices around this area we found a gem of place. Kind confusing doing the Check- In so make sure to confirm your reservation and arrival before you get there. We had to wait 15-20 mins outside the property waiting for someone to open the Door and let us get in so we had to explained we got a reservation there. The City Tax (€60) in CASH kind suspicious but we had not option. It’s a good option to stay and enjoy Rome for a few days.

Very good location, clean & comfortable

The staff were friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful. The guesthouse was very clean and central to all of the attractions and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again!

Very nice hotel in a central location, big, quiet rooms, perfect to discover the city. The hosts are very nice and helpful. There was a problem with my booking, but they handled it with care, they were all very nice.

Great location, 20 minute walk to attractions, and even less time to restaurants. Nicely decorated, simple and clean. Parking available close by and secure! That was unexpected.

Bathroom is a bit small. Perhaps a couple of shelves for fresh towels and toiletries would be helpful. Need a full length mirror in the room for getting dressed, wife really missed having that. I would rather have a armoire or something a long that line to hang clothes…coat rack is not sufficient. Armoire with a mirror on the door. Two for one fix.

Excellent experience, close to all major attractions and public transportation, great dining options, clean and quite rooms.

The location is very comfortable. You can walk to the Termini and to other objects like Spanish step, Trevi(10 min). Even 30 min walk to Trastevere. The owner very nice and helpful, all the question were answered. The room was tiny, but clean and comfy. There is also a refrigerator, coffee machine in the kitchen.

Place was next to a lot of attractions. Host was super helpful and so was Borris. Place is a hidden gem. Room had good air conditioning, nice bathroom and shower.

This is an amazing find of a hotel. Gorgeous room and first class customer service . Lucrezia and Bruno know how to make you feel at home. Don’t walk, RUN ago book your stay at A Star Inn.

nice place, close to interesting places, no breakfast, there is a kitchen and there is a possibility to prepare food. there is a refrigerator. nice building with security gates.

if you want the whole Italian feel, this is your place. felt like you were staying in someone’s home. The people were lovely and nothing was any trouble .

The location was great, everything is nearby. It has a very good restaurant in the neighbourhood Hosteria Romana with the best pasta amatriciana. Lucrezia was very nice and helpful. Wi will came back for sure .

The location was perfect, walking distance to all the major attractions, very safe and the owner and service personnel absolutely friendly.

The location was great and we were able to walk to almost everything. The location felt safe and had many restaurants near by. The host was great. The room was way smaller than we expected and so was the shower. The bathroom could also have been cleaner. The host did try to help us to another room but we just didn’t have time to switch.

Our stay at A Star Inn was fabulous. Lucrezia was great, always super helpful for us when we needed her. The hotel itself was a little difficult to find, but the location was fantastic. Within walking distance of all the major attractions. Thank you!!

Location is good, nice antique furniture, welcoming staff, a very nice Italian man Bruno at the reception, though he is not English speaking. But the was a lady on WhatsApp who helped with the translation and any questions. There was a smell in the room.

We booked this place for one night because we arrived a day earlier than planned. The location is very central. It’s not a typical hotel with 24hr on duty service however the staff was extremely hospitable and the rooms very clean comfortable and the ac worked really well. We arrived at 830 am and they worked quickly to get us into a room even though check in wasn’t until 3pm. Bruno offered me an espresso and my son a juice and pastry while we waited. The room was meticulously cleaned and sheets were as nice as in our 4star hotel. The ac actually worked better than in our current hotel. There is a small common kitchenette to prepare coffee and a small shared fridge. The other guests in the other rooms were very quiet.

I stayed for 7 nights and I have to say that I didn't feel like a hotel or Inn guest but instead I felt like I was living in Rome because by having the magnetic key to come and go and without having to speak or see anyone at the reception I felt very free and autonomous. The place is Fantastic and with that traditional Roman and Italian architecture that creates a proper Roman experience. There is also a great WiFi Broadband. I has couple of Skype with some clients and the line was very strong and stable that I could also use my 4k camera. The owner, Lucrezia, Is absolutely polite and welcoming and she makes the Tay even better. I will definitely be back when in Rome! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Top Lage. Die Hauptattraktionen waren alle fußläufig erreichbar. Einziges Manko ist, dass es dort sehr hellhörig ist und man viel vom Flur mitbekommt. Ansonsten alles Top!

Spent 5 nights at A Star Inn, fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff, lovely building. Surprisingly quiet , even though in centre of City. About 20 minutes walk from Main Termini Station.We found we could walk almost everywhere , did not need to use public transport , with exception of the Vatican, which is a bit of a hike away. We had the smallest room, which is a bit on the small side, but very clean , and nicely decorated. Would definately stay there again.

I have not even left the place and could not wait to write this review! Home away from home, quite simply. Lucrezia and Bruno have been nothing short of welcoming and accommodating. Lucrezia has been so easy to contact and lovely to talk to, and Bruno full of smiles despite him not speaking English. I rocked up after an awful first night in Rome and asked to see the rooms and they were so helpful. They welcomed me in and made me feel like family. So glad to have found this little gem! So much so that I ended up extending my stay for 3 nights! Location is brilliant with lots of shops, pharmacy and places to eat on the doorstep. Trevi fountain, Spanish steps and other attractions are only a short walk away too! Initially was a little hard to find the entrance but as it’s tucked away inside it feels secure and safe knowing that there are so many doors and a gate for you to enter the building!

A Star Inn is in a great location just off Piazza Barberini and within easy walk of most of Rome's major attractions. Lucrezia was a fantastic host who allowed an earlier check in, provided nice touches such as welcome cake and drinks and also wine and snacks on our last night. The rooms were good size and spotlessly clean. We were a group of 10 and had all 6 rooms in the apartment we rented which included a small seating area and kitchenette. For a central city location the apartment was also quiet. If you want a central stay in Rome, you can't go far wrong and I would highly recommend.

We stayed at A Star Inn for a week and had a wonderful time. The host was very friendly, and gave us excellent recommendations as this was our first time in Rome. The hotel is a few minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and is in the center of Rome. Hotel is very clean and spacious. Will come back again!

We had the best stay here, the staff were wonderful, the communal kitchen was really great, the room was large, the building and neighbourhood was safe and clean. Close to a train station and close enough to central that we walked with 2 large suitcases. They held our bags for us on the last day when we had a late departure. This place was fantastic!

We had a group of 12 and rented the entire inn which consisted of 6 bedrooms with private baths, a sitting area and kitchen. When we arrived we were met by Lecretia who was a former lawyer. This was her office that she turned into the inn and she did an impeccable job. The rooms were large, comfortable, well appointed and the bathrooms were clean. Fresh Linen and towels and maid service daily. The kitchen was small but efficient for coffee, and breakfast which included fresh pastries and donuts as well as fruit, yogurts and juice daily. The location was also great. It was easy to get too from the subway system, and short walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Pantheon. There was excellent security and we were given simple instructions to follow when getting in after 6:00 PM. The air conditioning worked great but WIFI was tuff to get in the bedrooms with the doors closed. Lecretia recommended local restaurants and tips on traveling to the different tourist sites. The good thing was that we never saw her during our stay yet the INN was always kept in proper order and stocked appropriately. This Inn is highly recommended and I would stay here again.

Difficult to find, the entrrence is through two double gates which you need to be buzzed into and then through a courtyard and through another set of doors. The location is great

It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. I went with my couple and mum. We did the late check in with all the instructions to get into the hotel and room. The room was big enough for the 3 of us and the breakfast was really nice. All the people working in the hotel helped us to know Rome and all our questions were answered with a big smile. We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. If we needed to have the breakfast earlier, they prepared it the day before. The place has 2 kitchens with all the things to go and prepare a coffee, tea, and small refrigerator. It was a very good experience and it felt like at home. Thanks ! Hernan

We enjoyed staying in A Star Inn - Colosseo Room as it was clean and spacious with style. Room was comfortable in the same time and well equipped. It is at the great location right by metro station and few minutes from Trevi Fountain. They were very helpful in giving directions and info on the area.

I truly enjoyed this wonderful apartment home within walking distance to major sightseeing areas. The home-like feel of this place made it an ideal change from hotels. I highly recommend this wonderful place.

We had problems finding the apartment, as there was only a small sign advertising it and we had to go into what looked like an office block. We were early, but luckily enough the cleaner was there and was able to let us in to store our luggage and we returned later. We were lucky enough to have an upgrade to a bigger room. A lovely apartment with a small separate kitchen to make tea, coffee in. I would recommend it, but would suggest the owners give a few extra instructions on where to find it.

Stayed here for one night because we got into Rome 1 day early. Wish we stayed here the rest of the time. This place it great! Clean. Safe and great area. Comfy bed. Only down side was wifi didn't work in our room so we had to go in the lobby. I would stay here again.

We stayed here in late April and had a pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and happy to help in whatever way they can. It's usually quite warm in Rome by late April so the centrally controlled heating in the building was already switched off, but it was unusually cold during our visit. Thankfully, the staff were very attentive and brought us a portable room heater which was a lifesaver. There's also a nice little pantry where guests can have complimentary coffee and other beverages.

We stayed in the Pantheon room during our three night stay which I believe is the superior room. It was beautifully presented and clean with beds made daily, the chocolate and strawberries were a delight. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with a waterfall shower head and a separate attachment. The location is fantastic, around the corner from Barberini metro station, the main station, Termini, is two stops away which connects to the whole of the city and also the train to fiumicino airport. Within walking distance is the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon and many other Roman delights which are scattered across the city. Ilaria was lovely and attentive. She was able to recommend restaurants, routes to see the sights and what transport to use. Bruno the janitor could not speak English but understood us and was a great help. I would highly recommend staying at A Star Inn.

The hotel location is good however the WiFi does not work. Also the television is only in Italian . the rooms are very small also. In all its good if you plan to stay out all day and only come to sleep. They have a shared kitchen also. Ilaria the young lady who helps with the check in is very nice and understanding. Also she speaks English a bit..

A two day stay to see the sights whilst travelling. Accommodation was clean and felt like we were in Rome, not anywhere in the world like more generic stays. Close to see everything that we wanted so we did Rome on foot other than the Vatican ☺️

I have booked a room for my friends who are 100% satisfied with the service level. The room was spacious and comfortable, with nice decoration. Very well located in the city center, close to the main attractions. People are also very friendly, Lucrezie replies quickly and addresses al your concerns. I highly recommend this room.

the payment, on arrival they advise that you have to make a transfer o cash. Since then and until you pay they control your each step. Once you pay, no way to find them Bath room, shower drainage hole is not working at all, you are getting shower in your own mess. Wifi - inexistent The towels have never been changed in 5 days, all though you presume to be kind of hotel. the nice lamp of Coliseum in the head of the bed, is not fixed properly, you worry it come to you head during the sleep Don belive when they say you taxi to airport or return is 50 Euros, driver ask 55!
