Indian restaurant attached is amazing
Property is a little bit away from ferry terminal so missed the midnight rush to check in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated in furniture but comfortable beds and well appointed for overnight stay.
The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Simply great hotel. The staff was really excellent, the room very clean.
Warm welcome and friendly staff. The on site Indian restaurant is amazing.
Had what we needed! Food was amazing. I was not fond of the smell of their cleaner.
Very friendly staff and very nice accommodations.
Staff is very friendly. The property is quiet.
The staff were good. Left early to catch the ferry, so did not stay for breakfast but the manager let us grab a muffin and fruit the night before to take with us. Only complaint was the trash was not emptied and it needed to be vacumed.
room was clean , room was nice
Could have been fine except the carpet had been recently cleaned and the room smelled like damp dog and cleaning product. Carpet so wet we could not walk in stocking or bare feet.
We had booked 2 rooms on our way to Quatsino fishing. Bernie was great, he sent an email prior to our trip and called after we first booked in March. I always ask for a quiet room with a view. He let me know it was by the airport with no view. We were supposed to get an upgrade but the Inn and all of the hotels in the area were full. The upgrade wasn't a big deal, we just wanted a clean room. He sent someone up to check the room for us and offered to let us use the breakfast room if we wanted a bigger space to have a beer and chat. The customer service was very attentive. The room was clean, the appliances were fairly new. A big sized fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The continental breakfast was good.
An amazing stopover with great service and bountiful breakfast options. Well kept for its age.
Clean but the Roku was hard to learn
Easy check in
The Airport Inn really delivered on everything they offer. (1) We arrived early, were given the room right away (2) Staff were very welcoming and informative (3) The room was spacious, two very comfortable beds, a good sized very clean bathroom with loads of towels (4) Fridge was narrow but tall: great to have on a road trip! Microwave, coffee maker all good. (5) Breakfast included fruit, yogurts, cream cheese, cereals, milks, coffee, tea, several kinds of baked goods. All you need for a nice start. (6) The on-site Indian restaurant was delicious! Glad we read previous reviews and made that our last meal on the island. (7) Gotta repeat: great staff! Everyone we encountered was friendly but the Manager was exceptional. While the Airport Inn isn't in the heart of Port Moody it perfectly served our needs since we were exploring. All in all, excellent choice!
Quiet, comfortable beds, good sized fridge, bath Friendly staff and Indian restaurant on site. Clean and lots of parking.
Staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is older and hasn’t been updated a bunch, but it is quiet and clean and comfortable. The onsite Indian restaurant was delicious. Convenient laundry facilities. I found this place really nice and was glad I stayed.
It was great to have an excellent Indian restaurant on the property after a long day of travel.
Great for 1 night prior to catching the ferry to Prince Rupert.
Easy checkin. Pleasant staff.
Bernie, the front desk manager was amazing in how helpful and thoughtful he was. Would definitely stay here again.
Great little spot
Lady at check-in desk was super friendly and very helpful. Bernie was working nightshift, had some trouble with my tv and he came up to get it online again. Restaurant on premises served excellent Indian food. Great overall experience. Will definate stay here next time.
Very quiet and comfortable. Nice and clean had a good stay
A quiet place to stay for a night between the ferries.
Clean, quiet, and reception was excellent. Lighting in room was insufficient for reading.
Friendly staff and we tried the Indian restaurant which was in the hotel and the food was great
The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. The room was clean. The building is getting tired, broken porcelain in the sink and tub, noticeable seams in the carpets, and the grounds are needing a refresh. We were disappointed that the restaurant is East Indian Food and it is a long ways into town for family dining. The breakfast buffet has only carbs with no protein- no eggs or anything like that. Overall though, it was clean and the bed was clean as well. The property does need a remodel soon. OK for the price!
Great spot!
Nice late check in. Quiet. Breakfast was good. Great stay
Location was great, the staff super freindly and easy check in. But the overwhelming smell of 420 and Curry was too much for the nostrils.
Excellent stay
This hotel is such a gem, amazing room quality, and great Indian food next door.
A comfortable stay . Any issues were handled by the manager .
We had a wonderful time staying here. We came for a wedding on the beach. There is a gravel gathering area we were able to use for all of us to hang out on. Beautiful area and plan to visit again.
We spent three nights in a kitchenette unit and we were impressed by how clean it was, with modern appliances and a good size fridge. There is also a gigantic tv with many channels. The hotel is dated, but the upgrades make it very comfortable. There is also an awesome Indian restaurant on site and a small liquor store. While it is next to the airport, there are very few flights and noise wasn't an issue. It is only a 10 min drive from Port Hardy and it is in close proximity to nice beach walks. There is also a laundry room on site that guests can use after 4pm. Bernie the manager was excellent!!
Bernie and the other staff were quite friendly.
The rooms were clean and had a decent sized fridge in the room and a smart tv. The staff were very friendly and provided us a take away breakfast as we needed to catch the ferry early. And the Indian food was delicious.
Near the beach and trails. Nice to have restaurant in hotel. More remote area.
This old fashioned hotel was tolerable. On the good side: a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. The bedding and towels were clean, though thin, like the walls. The usual continental breakfast offerings. Not so good: old and dingy carpets, walls, bathroom tiles (mildew), etc. Not worth the price, but it was less expensive than most of the others that were available in town.
The manager checked us in. He was personable, friendly and great. This is a standard motel, average in most ways. The breakfast was continental - tea/coffee, fruit, yoghurt, toast. Location is close to the town's small airport, but only good if you have a car. About 10 km from town.
When checking I cant say enough about Shay at the front desk - very helpful, very pleasant.
Super friendly staff! I was leaving for the ferry early in the morning so they let us go pick out breakfast items since it would be too early for the Continental breakfast.
Room was clean, bed was comfy, but those pillows? Not so much… waaaaay too thick, even for a side sleeper… location was quiet overall and Bernie at the front desk was wonderful! Breakfast was simply but quite extensive for a continental breaky… thanks so much!
We had a great stay coming off a late ferry. We would highly recommend it when staying the next near Port Hardy.
We landed late in the morning from a delay of the ferry and Bernie was so accommodating, he stayed open until we all arrived to check in. The room was very nice, spacious and the bed gave a great sleep. The complementary.breakfast was just sufficient enough for the morning. I’m looking forward to staying here again on my return back to the Island.
Bernie and his team are AMAZING!! Everyone went out of their way for us Would highly recommend staying here. We’ll definitely be back!
The manager, Bernie, was super kind and helpful
It was old and a bit tired but rooms were clean and quiet. No elevator.
Staff was amazing and the food in the restaurant was so good.
Everything fine
Great manager, but found the wall behind the toilet covered in black mold.
The bed was comfortable but the underwear under the bed made the comfort questionable. The bathroom was dated but the clump of hair made the dated look disgusting. Long short it is in need of some love. Upon arrival we were told that the hotel was short staffed. It showed by a he lack of attention to detail. Everything was done to minimal standards.
Good price, nice improvements made, comfortable beds.
Property was close to the Airport and Sandy beach within 3 kms
The place is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and polite. You can prepare some breakfast to go in the evening before heading off to the ferry early in the morning. Yet, the design of the room looked very old and run down. One of the queen beds squeaked. Therefore, only 4 of 5 stars. Nevertheless, we would book again and can recommend the place.
We came back to Port Hardy for a family funeral & chose the Airport Inn for it's convenient location. The staff are super friendly making check in a breeze. The lobby was very clean & the restaurant served an absolutely delicious dinner. I've kniwn the nanager Bernie fron his time.in Nanaimo & it was nice to catch up with an old friend whi has done an incredible job updating this hotel. All in all, it was a great stay under the circumstances. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the North Island.
We love the kicthenette and the staff!
The night manager Bernie, was nice we came in on a late ferry at 1 in the morning and we had no hassle getting our room
Remote area so it was great to have accommodation there.
We had a nice large room that turned out to be quiet and comfortable. A restaurant is attached to the motel that had delicious food. There was a nice kitchenette that we used for our breakfast. We left very early before the continental breakfast was available so the manager let us pick some items the night before.
Bernie and Shea are amazing! Friendly, helpful, and going above and beyond for everyone. The restaurant in the hotel is also super! The food and the service were great. The staff are all very helpful, friendly, and attentive
The property is fine for the money and area. It’s worn and dated and the flower pots were all dead but we were comfortable enough. The staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating.
Nice
Bed was super comfy. We appreciated the EV charger available to guests.
Soft landing late at night when getting off the ferry. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and roomy. Included breakfast was truly only continental, no protein, but a decent start to the day.
the room was not vacuumed and the bathroom was not arranged when we entered the room, only clean sheets were placed on the beds
Staff are exceptional. Absolutely effortless check in which was very appreciated as I arrived very late and was tired. Super close to the airport (hence the hotel name) which is great for me.
Staff were great and room was comfortable.
Overall a good place to stay if you’re needing just a night to sleep. The hotel itself is dated but clean. Does have a little bit of a funky smell. Staff was super nice and gave us great info at check in. We were taking the ferry in the morning and would miss the breakfast but they open up the breakfast area and let you take some bagels and muffins and yogurt for the morning which we appreciated. Some interesting people were hanging out in the front of the hotel, If I was taking the ferry I would stay here again.
Wonderful
The owner was an absolute gem. When he found out my son was autistic, he moved us to a quieter room so he wouldn’t be disturbed. He also engaged my son and was overall really kind and understanding. While the hotel itself seems quite old and a bit outdated, the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Perfect for a night passing through.
Indian restaurant food very good, building and room needs upgrades, balcony door lock doesn’t work, continental breakfast very poor
Shay explained everything with great detail, if i hadnt passed out from being so tired i would have tried the east indian restaurant. This was a surpise as the price we assumed it wouldnt have been how good it was. I will stay here every time we are back
Beds are comfortable. Food is good. Breakfast could use some protein. Bathroom could be renovated.
The older gentleman behind the desk was incredible and super helpful/knowledgable. There were some long dark hairs in the bathtub area, and some lipstick on the counter, as well as a puddle of water beside the tub after we checked in. We were travelling with our dog and it was inconvenient to be on the second floor toward the back of the hotel, not close to an exit.
Bernie is a great person, friendly and very helpful from Dining to walking to anything you can ask as long as he knows. We love you Bernie thanks for all your help, great to stay on your hotel.
We booked a stay for after our arrival from Prince Rupert on the inside passage ferry. We got in late (arrived at the hotel about 1 AM) along with a slew of others. The manager was set up and ready to efficiently get us all checked in, which was great after such a long day. The building is pretty old, but they keep everything super clean and have nice new beds, a big fridge, etc. So it made for a very comfortable stay before we carried on down island.
Bernie the manager, went above and beyond. We were going out to San Josef Bay the next day for a hike and we were going to miss continental breakfast so he told us to come and see him after we got settled and he let us go into the breakfast room and pick things so that we wouldn't miss out. He made our stay an extra great. It's a nice quite area!
Great place to get some sleep after taking the ferry from Prince Rupert.
Front desk person was amazing!
Great
Room clean, but expensive to take taxis into Port Hardy all the time. Restaurant food fantastic!
The good - friendly staff, nice onsite restaurant, clean bedding, outdoor patio. The bad - room had urine odour, outdoor courtyard needs to be weeded, no 24 reception, still using a key for room access. There should be staff at 5am for all the guests departing for the ferry. We couldn't re-enter to retrieve something left in the room. Person answered on 2nd number and was very surly. Not a place we would stay at again.
The gentleman that checked us in was super helpful checking us in. Being a bit older than most, we need a ground floor if there is not elevator. He bent over backwards to make that happen and insisted that he help us with our luggage. We were taking the ferry the next morning, so he made sure to give us important info on getting there. He even had a breakfast ready for us to take when we left at 5:15 am. The reat of the staff was also super!!
Nice place to crash for the night
Even though the building is old and needs a little TLC, but the staff there are very friendly and helpful, especially the manager- Bernie. Thank you very much for the quick response to all our requests and helpful information provided to us for our trip.
We weren't expecting this to be a glamorous stay, but the property is definitely showing its age and the beds were subpar (we wondered if they were actually cots). The room was very clean and the staff was nice, but the front desk staff was not 24/7. Our room had an old sliding glass door that opened up onto a ground floor parking area which was convenient for loading and unloading, but felt unsafe at night when the lock on it seemed near its end of life. We loved our meal at the restaurant and the breakfast provided was okay. I'd stay again in a pinch since it was such a clean room, but would otherwise select a property in a neighbouring town re: this one is away from any amenities, views, etc.
The room was comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a little kitchenette. The area around the hotel was very peaceful. The continental breakfast wasn't good. They could definitely improve in this area. We didn't get a chance to go to the restaurant, but the food smelled great.
The staff was lovely and very helpful. Had many suggestions for things to do and was knowledgeable about the area. However, the property needs a bit of TLC. It was very clean, bed was comfy, there was a fridge and other ammenities such as coffee maker, but it does need an update (ex.: carpets were really old which didn't help my allergies and I couldn't quite get the water to fully come out in the shower). There was a good selection of breakfast items included as well in our room price. So if you are looking for an affordable, safe and basic accomodation, this is absolutly fine. Just know it won't be the state of the art, latest fashion type of accomodation.
Clean enough but is old and smells like cigarette smoke.
Very helpful front desk, accommodating for ferry travelers. Very good restaurant "Tandoori Junction". Not fancy but well equipped rooms
Check in was smooth and easy. Building is run down, dirty, and very noisy when people are in the halls. Kept us up at night. Would not stay here again though staff was very friendly.
The Indian Food was awesome.
The young man on the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. It’s a basic place and does basic well. For a one night stay, close to the airport and ferry terminal- it was perfect.
Breakfast should be enhanced with hot items ( eggs, waffle maker etc ) or state that it’s a continental style breakfast on website.
Everything was good
It is an older hotel that has been maintained. The bed was too hard for me but it is probably okay for people who like firm mattresses. Our room was clean with all the stated features. It was quiet. Great service at the front desk! They were friendly and helpful. They also provided practical advice as we were taking the BC Ferry to Prince Rupert early the next morning. We were going to miss our free breakfast but we were told that we could pick out some food the night before which we did.
Staff was very helpfull
